What is your stake in Lagos with this your ranting? I am pretty sure u one of those Hawking gala under bridge. The earlier u guys realize that u are stranger in Lagos the better for u, no matter the nonsense investment u have there. It is a matter of time, everyone will know his place soon
Nah bro, you know the times your father and Uncle spent arguing wiv the Igbos about who owns what, I spent it in a very good University in the united kingdom getting a very solid Engineering degree and I was retained in the UK for years now,I live in a very leafy area in the North of London postcode N8..Just so you know, Im in no way remotely related to an Igbo man, Im from South-South Nigeria Delta state
I feel sorry for people like you, not Yorubas as I have loads of colleagues who are Yorubas and are fantastic people, its the Uneducated and poor people who bread this school of thought, look at the Educated and well to do Igbos or Yorubas, they don't give a toss about race or ethnicity, they do business and marry each other, it's usually those who live in face me I face you with 12 kids that rant about tribe and religion in Nigeria,I pity you lot. look at people like MC Olumu, his girl just graduated from a good Uni in the USA sharp guy securing his future cos he knows what is in stock

Most buildings there are owned by the yorubas. They are all private property with the relevant building approvals most likely in place.

Welcome to the 21st century urban-slum Lagos;good precedent. They should limit all those primitive exploitation to rural Yoruba countrysides, where the inhabitants are predominantly Yoruba.

If tinubu and his daughter want to collect market levies, they should take up traditional positions in their original village. Taxes should be paid directly to certified and responsible government agencies, so that the proceeds can be constructively and accountably put back in the society.
Funny enough, I heard they are originally not from lagos!

They can never create but destroy. When Opay and Taxify and the rest were creating jobs for people, all they did was to shut them down because it wasn't favouring them. Now they want to start collecting taxes on top of the taxes already being paid to the local and state government. I understand it's your land and you can do as you please but use your sense, if you don't want igbo people to do business then tell Sunday Ighodo to declare Oduduwa so we can all head back to the east. Iyaloja no be work. She should go and find something reasonable and do with her life.

Very wrong move.. These guys did not learn anything from Ladipo market.

Next move: The authority will demolish some part of the market..due to several reasons..
Landuse, encroachment, abuse of property and over riding public interest.
Oga nah una way, if it gets demolished nko? Its better to die standing than die begging
The state govt is no imposing levy rather a few individuals who think they own Lagos!

nah it's not, this solar ting is a SCAM, you might no get the ROI in your lifetime if you truly go on it 100%
ask yourself this, why do the west FG always use SOLAR as back up why not the main power source?
the way to go is Nuclear!
The only way solar helps is for the Fg to put up this Energy Bill the enables us to sell power to the National Grid during the afternoon when the SUn is up thereby subsidizing our consumption. This is what we have in the West

lol...

Now I see why you are so confused and convoluted, must be the low IQ thing..

Hybrid in this case is solar/batteries/inverters, not solar and national grid.

1. These are stand alone off grid hybrid systems, they are totally independent, they are self contained power generating and storage system, they have zero connection to the grid hence the phrase off grid.

Look up the meaning of off grid in the dictionary.

2. Hybrid off grid solar systems relating to what REA is doing all over Nigeria means sola panels, batteries and inverters, they don't need grid power to charge or recharge, they are stand alone off grid systems.

Of grid means off grid, not on grid or taking power from the national grid to charge anything.

I know I'm wasting my time on you because you too ignorant for your own good, but it feels more like community service.
I know that was what you was waiting for cos that's the only thing available to you on the internet cos that's ur only means of resource
But even though you read it you failed to see where it must have stated that it feeds the grid to reduce cost,
No wonder that country Nigeria is backward cos loads of you just go to school and go fru books no practical knowledge of anything you read in school.Something as basic as this you are here arguing, re google it and see the diagram of a complete system see if its not attached to the GRID
Now to make you look more stupid, what happens when you have just 5 hours of sunshine or in the Scandinavian where even daylight is 2 hours?
Just so you know, I have a Hybrid Inverter that cost me 4 Million at my Mrs studio in PHC during the day when there is Electricity it charges via the Grid on the background, when there is no power it uses stored power from the battery however the rate of discharge is more than the rate of charge from my Solar panel so we turn off some few consumables. Now at Night at night, its a different ball game as there might be no electricity to charge it and no Sun hence Im adding a wind turbine to the equation B4 the end of this year, So young man b4 U masturbate on HYBRID System, its just a system that has multiple way of charging your Inverter.

grin grin
Just to further establish your stupidity which is prevalent,You are asking me if a Hybrid system that needs the national grid as part of its recharge system can wokr off grid huh huh So why is it called a HYBRID system then if it is going to recharge purely on Solar p anels and not give back to the national Grid.Even this sounds DUMB to a DUMB person

How will the major players lose money. What will be the cause?
I'm curious.
check those who gain with this epileptic power supply
let me tell you the losers already as things stand
people who cut your wire and charge you to re connect9Bribr)
People who read Meters and dash you xtimated bills
People who sell meters
Now if power is structured proper
Generator sellers will lose
Discos will lose cos they cannot now return power to Gencos as they do now
the sale of Inverters will vanish
Generator repairers will be jobless.
more petrol and diesel for us at the pump as no one without cars will ever know pump price
I can go on n on
Those idiots who own the Discos will lose cos their gain
will be real and little plus they will now be forced to invest in their own infrastructures
But I see us going that way, have you seen the new Prepaid meters which have no cards?

You mean solar is not involved or it can not go off grid because it's labeled hybrid even though you saw solar panels and batteries in the pictures?

One thing I hate about NL is ignorant and unintelligent people quoting me with their ignorant nonsense.
Pls re-read what I wrote I used the word HYBRID.YOu are an extreme case of an Ignorant person and you still refuse to learn which even more worrisome.let me school you a bit a HYBRID system of anything means it has multiple sources of Energy derivatives. In this case this system charges itself By
1 Solar panel
2 national Grid
3 can be added Wind Energy.
if something charges itself with national Grid how do you term such as Off-grid or are you confused by this lame Englis Off-grid?

I even went further to use the Electric car and Hybrid car as a simple example where the electric car is plugged into Electricity to recharge whilst the Hybrid car can be plugged and uses fuel to drive and whilst driving charges itself that is why hybrid cars are not called Electric cars
Now after all these you still don't get it then Im done!

Why can't they hands off electrical power like they did for telecommunications?
Involving several power companies will provide jobs, encourage competition, enhance efficiency and benefit the economy, especially if local companies are granted licences.
Selling PHCN will create a positive impact on the economy in several ways.
The major players will lose money, but we will get there soon, At my house, we get electricity every day now since we got Prepaid metre cos once our transformer blew up we ignored them for a month

wirinet:
False. Original solar panels has an optimal service life of 25 years ( depending on how it is installed). The weakest link of solar installation is the battery. Trojan Deep cycle lead acid batteries can last up to 10 years if not cycled beyond 50% regularly, but it can cost up to N250,000 each for 200ah. Good Indian batteries can cost between N150,000 to N180,000. While chinko batteries is about N120,000. Chino batteries would last an average of 6 month to 18 months depending on cycling percentage.
US inverters like Xantrex can cost up to N500,000 for pure sine wave inverters but they can last up to 10 years without problem. Chinco inverters can catch fire if you overload it.
