the chart am talking about is the ambient temperature table diagram chart that show -13 <-------------5w30-------->+38

the only thing I have learned from you is that oil is elactic after some research base on its process of changing viscosity

So according to op, we should all be using SAE 40 or SAE 50 oils. Nigeria has only one weather, hot. Rarely ever drops below 20 degrees celsius except in the northern parts at nightfall or in the high mountains ranges like obudu at nightfall.

Well, whoever thinks he ought to go with the op against the manufacturer s advice only has himself to blame when the inevitable occurs.

40 weight oil in engines made with very high tolerances and even tinier oil galleries and plumbing. I just shudder at the thought of the stress and wear going on in those engines.

5w30 is a goal for my rides. Hasn't failed yet.
Those guys like the OP and this one arguing with me are same ones who will fail Arithmetic and also copy and fail correction from blackboard!

I always encourage homeowners to hire block molding machine or make a special arrangement with those who have it when they have larger projects.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDSch_I8MOE

The huge savings is worthwhile.

______
Pics below show some of the blocks produced for our projects in various locations. I have more confidence in these blocks than most blocks in the market.

Pic 1: Ibadan (16,000 pcs)
Pic 2-4: Lagos (18,000 - 35,000 pcs)
True, but at times you might not have space coupled with the fact that you now have to deal with too many people, from sand suppliers, water supplier, cement supplier, moulder, carry man, .Some times the manpower put in by the Landlord superseeds the saved revenue if he is to mould, give a good block supplier spec and get it delivered to site arranged!

I agree with your recommendation the most except buying blocks. He ought to mold blocks since he is not in a rush; most especially when he is building on budget.

I started my project by buying all sand needed to mold blocks. Then water pump and water storage tank
few months later bought all estimated sands and granite
I only bought irons and cements when it's time for foundation
I didn't feel any pinch from German to lintel because I am only buying cement as sand and blocks are already on ground
At times buying of blocks is a better option! if you have a large build

1)short answer to it question is NO it doesn't matter (question = ) why would it not matter when engine manufacturer oil chart say other wise
2) All fluid has elasticity ( answ =) no, oil is not ruber and can not be elastic , car fluids has no elasticity rather they have viscositys or viscosity improvers
3)Oil are more effective at max engine temp (question =) engine and oil temp is 100 degree ,(1) what max temperature range can 30w viscosity oil accommodate above 100degr ? (2) what viscosity will 30w be above it's normal operating Temp , up to 108 degr instead of 100degr
Seriously, Ok what chart are you talking about? meanwhile howcome we drive the same car in Poland and same car in Nigeria and the same Oil specification is required for car lubhuh? My RRS is 5W30, the same with my Guy in Russia which is meant to be colder? If you do not know the meaning of Elacticity and think it is limited to elastic as per rubber then you have no busniness arguing in anything to do with tech!

Scientifically, there is element of truth in your submission.
Viscousity is one of the properties needed for better protection. Also, any oil will thin out more under higher conditions of temperature, load and shear stress but the synthetic oils thin out more slowly.

However, recent advancements have allowed the use of lower viscousity oils while still offering good protection.

Sometimes, when we consider viscousity, there is compromise between best protection and best fuel economy and this is where some manufacturers are silent and users are innocent.
In some vehicles, it is not out of place to upgrade to next higher viscousity grade because of high temperature, high speed and high load driving. In some other cars, it is okay to stick with manufacturer recommendation because of the engine's design and a good controlled cooling system.
Bro simply put if you buy a brand new car and its warranty is for 5 years and its Oil requirement os 5W30 and on year 4 you use 10W40 and something happens to your Engine you wont get a replacement, I have seen this happened B4

you are talking of outer temp that in any case will be less than 50 Degs, the working temp of a car is 90 Degs I think. So if we where to live in a cold climate ie winter infested or in the Artics, Warmth would be premium,

ULSHERLAN:
Even with the OPEC restriction, Nigeria still produces over 1million BBL of crude daily and I doubt Dangote's refinery can refine up to that daily.
Secondly, lets assume the refinery has a capacity to refine more than our daily crude production, do you know that neighboring oil producing countries will prefer bringing their oil here due to cheaper logistic and all than taking the product abroad?

Either ways, it is a win win situation
Ok but did you see what i asked in my last post?

Anything less of steady energy supply would be progress in futility.
The world is moving toward synchronised network system, where things are remotely control from distance. During the lockdown children were following visual lectures at home with their teachers/lecturers, if there is steady power supply Nigeria students could have benefited with the same system and wouldn't have be lagging behind as the case now.
true, the govt of the day is over looking teh Energy sector in this rregard,

there is lots of misinformation here

Whether double radiator or not that wont stop a car from overheating if there is leak or if the headgasket is gone
