Fuel efficiency has nothing to do with make or model of a car rather the Engine capacity. so the new 2 litre range rover Evogue is more fuel efficient than the RX300 which is a 3 ltre engine,
FYI most of the X5s are 4.4 litre, so it drinks fuel. Once you opt to get an SUV you should stop talking fuel efficiency

The cost of the brand new parts are costly for most persons hence the reason we resort to the second hand parts.

Where did you buy the pump from? Was it in Zuba? Go to Apo or Gudu spare parts market, you will find better and cleaner spare parts.

I changed my engine oil to 5w20 yesterday and today the Vehicle is smoking kind of and also the ENGINE OIL LIGHT ON DASHBOARD HAS BEEN BLINKING WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE

I used total quartz 5000 before and it neither smoked nor had Engine light blinking

this is teh reason you should have stuck to your manufacturer's advice!There is a very good reason they stated a certain oil weight!

And here is where the negotiations fallout cos you can't expect me to pay you 75k... the calculations I gave above show am spending more on this clearing. Now getting 700k instead of 755k means I will have to part from the 75k left from the reduction to add to the valuation fee, releasing fee and the gate signing.

And I told him given you 75k is unrealistic.

I agreed and apologize for breach and I told him I can pay him 25k.

Which I believe there is no fraudulent act in all this, agreeing to something means you accept. Negotiating break down cos I can't pays his demand and he doesn't wants my offer.

Haba bros why are you roping this man , I feel the client has the right to choose another clearing agent if there is a change in price as Long as no advance fee has been made.
Being a car dealer and a full time importer. Clearing a vehicle over the past few months have been hectic and a lot has changed. The customs themselves aren't making the matter easy. you can clear a car today and the next day the rate will be higher.

I blame the agent for not following the agreement he had with his client. If he had paid the surface duty which his client told him to pay there won't be any problems and he won't be held if the vehicle gets impounded.

Another bitter truth which is hard to swallow is that, no matter how much the customs give you as valuation to pay on a recent vehicle 011 above, some of their colleagues on the road will still claim is underpayment just to Rip the vehicle owner. Unless you want to pay the Full duty( Extremely Rare) which is on the book which might be higher than the purchase price of the vehicle including the shipping fee.

I understand what you are saying, I have great experience in importing cars 13 years in total,The change of cost should minus his own fees, even if the duty changes did his own price change. Look what is bad is bad,However all these will end one day when the system gets placed in a platform where shipper can pay for thier car direct!E go better one day!

And when it was changed I had no documentation of the consignment and payment hasn't been made. Which means he wasn't under duress when he agreed with the fees. Not that the job is with me and money paid before I changed the price, so he still have options.

now for a simple ABC aproach of what significance is your so called 38+ lets even say 50 Degs ambient to a working Engine of 100Degs?the only Temp that affects a parked car is in the -ves ie cold hence Oils have addetives to make them antifreese. not to freese over.You focused so much on external heat that you forgot the cold!
