exactly.

How much does the average western citizen spend on college education?

The 'free' education we seemingly get from nigeria cannot hold a candle to what they get in Ghana, not to talk of abroad.
Thank God for the Internet, at least one can update themselves with up to date materials, during my time at Esut, we had nothing like that, even some of the handouts are not even clear to read.No investment on the part of our govt

Nigeria is the best place to study medicine right now. You get free education, travel abroad and are paid the same wages with people that spent hundreds of thousands of dollars for their medical education. This is just so sweet.
Exactly, you are not far from the truth,U can even sit in your box room in Lagos and apply for a job via an agency in the UK

I posted a link to the news. I have colleagues who initially paid for health surcharge (not free visa extension o) for training position due to start in August that have been refunded. I used that analogy for the current discourse because I couldn't find any link to the scrapped health surcharge also on the government website. Does that then make it false?
The initial attached screenshot was an earlier mail sent to someone that eventually got electronic visa waiver to start work during this lockdown.
VACs would be opening up soon anyway ,so that process may no longer be applicable.
I do not think VAcs will open anytime soon, they might even shut down again the way things are going!

Who told you that? No place will give you job just like that except Nigeria. You have to get work documents and go through a recognized residency program. They can only use the ones sneaking out as slaves. In the frontline of Covid which most of them won’t survive.
Do you live in the UK right about now?
For long Doctors have remained the #1 on the UK shortage list There is a desire for Nigerian doctors here in the UK, U hardly see doctors from other African countries here, One sure part of our educational status that we still maintain is the medical sector in our Universities. Even when nurses were banned from coming to the Uk to work the Uk opened the door for doctors!

Some Nigerians are stupid sha. How do you sell yourself so cheap? You go there without visa, they use you and pay whatever then dump or deport you after Covid is over for not coming through the right channels. Then you will come on NL after creating 100 usernames to cry out for help back to Nigeria. Giving some hellish stories. Doctors wey no get sense.
Doctors never get deported from the Uk, they get a job automatically.

I think it's better for you to converse with your 14 year old. I'm sure you have a lot in common with the teen child. Your post places your thinking within that age range.

Maturity isn't age and age isn't maturity after all.

So, yeah go right ahead and huddle with your 14 y/o and talk about girlfriends and prom.

The following isn't meant for you.

Only intelligent people understand that the present situation of Nigeria today is the sum of all the bad decisions made by previous leaders.

If Obasanjo had strengthened democratic institutions in Nigeria, people like Buhari wouldn't be president today.

If PDP had busied itself with strengthening the democratic process from the start, people like Jonathan would never have access to government office and public finances.

So, where Nigeria is today isn't only the doing of Buhari and his cabal, but a sum total of the misrule we've had since Independence.

What makes it even worse is that when the reset button was pushed on Nigeria in 1999 and we had an opportunity to start all over, we still missed that opportunity.

It's not difficult to understand but the 14-year olds who are stuck in the bodies of grown men will be asking silly questions such as, "why are you still blaming Jonathan..."

I wonder what people like that will teach their 14 year olds about equity, accountability and justice.

I pity such 14 year olds for having that kind of parent.
[/s]

They eventually grow up to think it's okay to steal as long as you're not caught.[/quote]And you bother to write such long epistle for my two lines, You are SAD and pathetic wishing that o na kid, FYI the 14 is going to oxford direct as we speak unlike urs who is going to end up at backyard grammar school due to ur inability to upgrade and think straight now Foxtrot Oscar!

It's difficult having a conversation with people who have your kind of mindset.

I try to avoid responding to posts like yours.

I'll say this in the simplest English sentences as I can manage so y'all will understand.

1. That the present day government is corrupt does not wipe away Jonathan's misdeeds in governance.

2. This thread is about Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who served as the coordinating minister of the economy during Jonathan's era. Throwing in Buhari and other present day actors to draw attention away from what we are talking about is decidedly anal. Open a thread on Buhari and we'll talk about his own misdeeds.

If you don't understand those two points well enough desist from quoting me, I use God to beg you.
[/[/s]s][/s]
you lots are waste of time and space, 2020 still calling Jonathan. why don't we go back to tafawa balewa!
Instead of you to pay attention to what's on the ground and how there have been no meaningful improvements like security and power you are here chatting shyte.PS U dnt need reply as I will have a better conversation with my 14 yr old than I will with yourself

I'd rather return to UK than continue to aid and abet looters in government.

That's the honourable way to go.

For 6 years, madam puff puff cheeks collected her salary in dollars just to watch the economy plunged into the ground by Jonathan and his miscreants.

What's the purpose of paying her that much then?
aha, The funny thing is, he is not Richer than the FG of the day or the governor of your state. The chief of Army staff has a house in the UAE and he claimed he saved enough money to buy it. You guys keep masturbating on the mention of GEJ, His era has passed concentrate on the new FG and checkmate them on ways they can make any meaningful contribution to an already deadly situation. He is approaching the 8 year period and nothing to show for it so far not even recovered loots as acclaimed.let me further go, I'm hoping APC go on for the next 16 years after that we will see what next yah lot will compare to. this APC/PMB issue yah lot keep flinging into political arguments is boring ain't yah lot tired and fed up of it? it's 2020 for crying out loud and nothing to show for it. as we speak the pounds is £550. You are quite naive.

If she is "an epitome of financial industries" (whatever that means) like you claim, why is she begging for pro Bono from people?

A finance minister and coordinating minister for the economy who was paid in dollars, yet watched on as Jonathan and his merry band of looters almost emptied the treasury.

What praise is she looking for?

Barely 6 months after she left office, the economy she was coordinating slid into recession and dollars became scarce.

Please don't get me started.
plz, start let's see what intelligent arguments you have. Look at what happened to the other UK citizen that was our finance minister? did you not see how politicians used her office as an embezzlement sports car? when she put her foot down what happened? blackmailing and threat. hence she absconded back to the UK. Corruption in Nigeria starts with you.

It cost a lot but certainly not up to $5m or $3m you quoted on your posts. Even American based companies won't be able to afford such advert rates. How many brands or businesses are even worth up to $5m that they will now use such huge amount to promote?
it actually cost more than that, way more than that,I use to work for a company In Greenford West london ,the build the internals of fighter jets and nimroid systems,to advertise than on CNN for 30 secs was $1,2m this was 2002.She would be advertising globally across all continent, it won't be local content as per the $7k someone upstairs was quoting
