The truth is that in a free and fair election, PDP will always win Rivers. What happened in Rivers yesterday wasn't an election at all. Amaechi decided to use the military to force Wike out of office. Why should Buhari who claims he has integrity approve such rascality by his minister? It's quite unfortunate how we forget so soon, Wike is a product of federal might, we all know the number of souls that was lost in the build up to2015 general election, how a minister of education and the first lady we're causing chaos all through Rivers State, subjected a sitting governor to know body, the CP was loyal to a minister rather than the governor who is the chief security of the state, I do not in any means support the violence and show of shame and desperation being perpetrated in Rivers by the politicians, but Wike and Pdp is first of all guilty of all the crimes and atrocities we accuse Amechi and Apc of, I do not see any difference between them and the more we continue to allign ourself with this old order (APC&PDP) we will never make a progress as a nation.

Votong was concluded yesterday. All results have been collected (at least at polling unit levels).
Suspended means no further announcing of results. After the investigations, many of the results will be outrightly cancelled and a rerun planned at a later date.
Amaechi has become a curse to the people of Rivers. On a normal day, PDP will win rivers just the same way APC will always win Borno and Yobe even without campaigning.

A group of Policemen and some Soldiers clashed on Sunday afternoon at a collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

PoliticsNGR gathered that the incident occurred after both parties tussled over control of security at the venue where the results of Saturday's Gubernatorial Elections will be collated for final announcement.

The soldiers had ordered police officers already at the venue to leave the premises but they later returned in greater numbers, breaking down the gates of the premises and forcefully taking charge of security.

It will be recalled that this incident is happening shortly after several complaints of strong military presence in the state. The Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike is currently fighting to secure a second term.

His top contender is from the AAC party currently being back by the minister of transport and Former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

despite been an oil producing state. I couldr remember during NYSC at Igbuku, ndokwa east when teachers would come to school by 12 and Corp members are the backbone of the schools running multiple subjects and no incentives. it's by fire and force before they could pay us 5k stipend the for the service year. but it's nice teaching then.
