Please has anybody had this problem of not being able to pay online for the visa fees and biometrics? My dollar, Euro, and GBP Mastercards are all declining.

I had same issue but i didn't get a satisfactory help here. I had to Google the best fintech who offers virtual cards for online payment and picked bitnub, did a due diligence on them before applying. Once all my details were confirmed during registration on their app, i was able to process my visa virtual card in minutes. Just follow the process but ensure you transfer enough naira to your bitnub account first, the credit balance of which will appear in usd equivalent on the app, before you can be able to process your virtual card. The moment I entered my visa virtual card details, it was accepted in seconds. Good luck

I don't have to bro. Even in the USA where I visit all the time. They have less than 2,000 cng fefuelling stations nationwide. I'd have done that test drive with you with an electric car but we're not there yet, not cng

. Is it not same Akure i know? Did you pass through ilesha-Ife highway at all? If I could try it on generator and there was no significant difference, I wonder how it could work on automobile. When the cng was first being over-hyped here. I tackled the OP. Later when some Nigerians got carborateur and tried to convert their petrol gen to cng, they dropped the idea and kept silent.

Even in the USA, the country we used to copy in everything, there are barely 2,000 cng refuelling stations there. Today, petrol and diesel remain efficient means of powering automobile engines. Any Nigerian who falls for this lie the way they fell for the generator would only throw away money once again.

These are the people causing the naira to weaken. Like I've always said, importation isn't our problem, we can only improve on our export. Nigeria has always been an importing country when naira was strong. Today, just go to seme or idi iroko border and attempt to change naira to cfa. Its now 1,000 naira for 550 cefa, what we used to get 10,000 with 1,000 naira for.

The other day, it was the accountant general who stole over 100bn and later emefiele with over 50bn and now mele kyari. Which country would develop under this menace of corruption, even if they export everything like China? Its not possible. There are still a lot more among them who had stolen hundreds of billions but can never be exposed.

Now that tinubu is in power, we should expect more. No sensible investor would ever think of a corruption-ridden nation like Nigeria. I was with a Japanese Partner recently in Abuja. We went to their embassy for a meeting. While inside a taxi, he told me how bad our airport was, despite having so much money and he's right. Go to Benin or Ethiopian airport in Addis Ababa and you'd be ashamed of calling Nigeria giants of Africa. I don't even want to talk of Or Thambo airport in South Africa. You'd think you're in the west.

We're not ready yet. One day, there'd be a revolution across the land , not necessarily by killing leaders but by sending them packing. They're stealing from us openly and we can't do anything.

Sadly, that's how most of our celebrities live their lives lavishly. They end up being broke and turn beggers. They get depressed and take to drugs which will eventually take their lives. I remember majek fashek in his hay days, iron Mike Tyson too. Though Tyson still gets some little endorsement which he lives on, he was a star celeb in his days. Before Mercedes benz would release a model, Mike must be contacted first. They'd take the car to him to test drive. The guy was loaded cos I was old enough to see him fight back then and rake in millions in dollars in each fight. Nigerian elites would travel far to watch him inside the ring. Wetin be football money when tyson was reigning? The same Donald trump was his adviser in 1988 . As rich as tyson was, trump didn't have one-quarter of his wealth then. The rest is history today. All those benz cars have become relics of a lost age, not matching the contemporary automobile designs anymore.

That's why I liked whizkid. He's investing heavily cos I know someone very close to him. He didn't just take a break from music without a reason. He had made so much money which only a few among his contemporary globally can boast of. He knows nothing lasts forever. He wants to learn from others' past. Watch what whizkid would end up becoming before his break is over. He doesn't want to end up like fashek or shina peters who spent same amount jim ovia used to build zenith bank to build a house at iju. Jim is among the reigning African billionaires today.

MKO would change Davido's dad's wealth into coins when he was alive. Anytime mko was passing, you'd think its president that's passing. He never even thought of becoming a politician that time. He owned a commercial airline called concord. The wealth was so much. Today, his children live on MKO's good will cos he really helped a lot of people in his life time. See ibos crying at his gravesite, those whom he had made billionaires for life. Same with yoruba, hausa , even foreign nationals. Nobody knew tinubu when mko was reigning? He was his boiboi. If after all those fame and wealth, MKO's past is like this, one of his children defrauded someone with 30m naira a few years back. It was his dad's associate who paid the debt. Tell me, what's 30m when his dad was alive that he'd not have afforded?

No sensible being would envy these celebs. Just read their news and commot eye. Build your own wealth and be contented. You may end up feeding them

I feel your pain bro. But its what it is. I travelled to Hungary recently and paid almost 2m naira on flight alone. If not so important, I'd have cancelled the trip. Imagine planning a trip to US 6 months earlier , just because I want to take advantage of early booking grin

It certainly is not for 1 portrait as there is need for many portraits, but the number is not disclosed I reckon, so we cannot say if the cost is justified.

At an exorbitant but corporate rate of N100k per portrait, that will be 731 portraits.

You will see Tinubu everywhere you go, so your hope can be renewed on a steady.

OK, in the 90s, there was a guy from Ibadan, who's been in the US for nearly a decade. He never came home but always in touch with his people back home...sending money, taking care of parents and schooling of siblings, till they graduated and some were gainfully employed. One day in Manhattan, in the US on his way to work in the busy rush hour, somebody called his name...the name which only his parents knew him by, in the crowd. He was surprised and looked back. All of a sudden, he saw a grey-headed old woman who hugged him. She disconnected herself afterwards and entered the crowd. This guy looked everywhere, alas! He was unable to locate the woman as she disappeared.

One week later, he received a letter that the department of homeland security needed to see him. On honouring the invite, they said there's a criminal they've been looking for, for years and his appearance matched his, 95%. There was nothing this guy didn't do to clear himself. All efforts proved abortive. Immediately, his employer wrote to him that, his service wasn't going to be needed anymore. He was arrested and deported to Nigeria.

When he got home, his sister fainted and was rushed to the hospital. She later recovered and said but, he never said he was going to come home cos they were always communicating so she thought she saw his ghost. Later, he was taken to man of God who said the arrow was from home but he will pray hard before being restored. Guy don become prayer warrior, always going to the mountains. Months later, he received a mail that, they were sorry that the real criminal was later found. His neighbour contacted one of his friends in the US so the guy called his family in Nigeria to share the information. His status was restored. Before he travelled back, his employer tendred an apology and reinstated him with huge benefit. The authority also compensated him financially. While some hungry lawyers told him to sue them, he said there was no need as God had vindicated him. End of story.

I pity those who don't believe that village people exist.

This not the issue. It all depends on the kind of relationship you built up with your people over time while you were away. Again, why on earth would you send money home and you'd not look back and visit at least once in a year to inspect your project instead of believing in pictures? If you keep chasing the money and frown at the money you'd spend on flight ticket, there will always be a story that touches, coming from your mouth.

I have a close friend who's building a house in lagos right now. It has just been roofed. He came home last year to see the land and confirmed it was legit before going back. His cousin is the architect. He also engages me to monitor, even without the builders and the architect knowing anything. His siblings also go there to inspect. I directed him where he could get Gerrard roofing from the Chinese companies importing and selling, not those middlemen advertising on NL. He got good deals and thanked me later. He's been able to save some money too. His architect located the place and bought the best of Gerrard roofing sheet.

The hotel in the 3rd and 6th picture with the aluminium/golden gate is located along the road leading to the apapa-oshodi highway, for those going towards either airport or isolo. There's a Mr Biggs outlet after it. Maybe they make noise at night cos the place is always quiet during the day.
