money121:I kuku no no you so, I didn't in any way insult you cos you didn't offend me. I only advised you. There's a level you get to in life and you'd be humbled by all your achievements. You can always get better and it all depends on how you position yourself and interact with customers. That your response no be am. Google The Delborough Lagos, owned by Stanley. Na me recommend most of the artisans who worked there. I got some of them here. The roofing was world class. Jonathan, Obj, etc were there recently to commission it. I was there too. Be humble and nice to potential customers. You may be sending your helpers away unknowingly with your reaction |
Faiththatworks:Na because you go school naw. Your approach will always be different. I've advised the OP already. He needs some education . His response was a clear difference between someone who's educated and someone who's not, no be insult. It was a mere online conversation and he messed up so deeply. What if she slapped him the way that lady did to me in Port Harcourt in 2018? She even abused me on top but i kept saying, I'm sorry madam. It was her cheque was interested in, not her insult. I made a lot of money from her. She singlehandedly recommended us to chevron. |
money121:You're a bad service provider. Unfortunately, many who claim to be rendering a service today didn't go beyond secondary school and thats why education can never be a scam. It will enable you do things in a more polite and courteous manner, no matter how rude the customer might be. Your response to the potential customer says it all. No graduate would ever respond to a customer that way. I've been slapped by a lady customer before in Port Harcourt and today, after doing millions naira worth of business, na im carry me enter chevron. We later became friends. Her husband became a distant uncle. I advise you go back to school if you have money. It can never be a scam |
Shoodboi:Did you read the newspiece at all? One of them was imprisoned and released in 2020, not among those released recently. They were both ex-convicts. But why are most of you guys always behave this way? You'd jump on threads without reading the news topic. |
stormborn28:I can't remember quoting the cost of a DNA test. What I told you was the cost of one of the machines used in the DNA Testing called PCR Machine. There 3 machines involved and PCR is one of them. You'd also need a high precision microscope. It's not just about going to China or elsewhere and bringing into the country a kit for DNA testing. Such is expected though. Nigerians like taking advantage of gullible people to make money from a trending situation. |
Shoodboi:Only in Nigeria can people like you be fooled. Data accuracy is Top notch over there. The report never said hamas. We get problem for this country no be small, the way some people think sef |
stormborn28:...and you think everyone can afford it? |
WorldRichest:I think the comment should be directed at you slave, despite the obvious truth seen. Even if you've been so blinded by 2k, you should have remembered the bullion vans inside Tinubu's house. You slave? I reiterate, all our politicians are thieves, while those following them are slaves and fools. |
A lot more was airlifted on Tinubu's election nationwide. What he spent to secure primaries at Eagle Square alone is in millions of dollars on delegates. All our politicians are thieves. I blame those following them like mumu...those who will always suffer and smile after collecting 2k. They're not worth our fight. |
stormborn28:I just told you the truth. Do you even know how much it costs to do DNA? Check it online. It's not for the poor. I wonder how a kit would bring out a DNA result accurately |
virginchaser:Yes, the current composition of leaders don't want regional government and that's why they're finding it difficult to amend the constitution. That's why I'm suggesting we split. They feed fat in this type of government we run. They're the same who would approve constitutional amendment. Check those who are in the NA...retired governors and their co-thieves. Ordinary LG autonomy, they couldn't achieve cos they know once this happens, no money to steal again If we can go back to regional government, many who are at the national assembly today would leave Nigeria cos politics won't be interesting anymore. Those who choose to remain would take the battle to their respective regions and fight dirty on who should represent them at the centre. But they don't want this to happen. It's a shameful thing that Nigeria is banned from entering ordinary dubai, what they can't try with Kenya, not to talk of south Africa. An ordinary SA doesn't like traveling outside on vacation cos almost everything in the west is in their country. Why they still call us giants of Africa today is what I don't understand. That was before |
virginchaser:I really miss DXB. I always loved to watch football at night on their pitch. It's never a dull moment, being in DXB. Our leaders aren't trying. Nigeria is a composition of many disagreeing nations. No sense of belonging and oneness of spirit. Everyone just gets to power and steal. No plans to truly develop Nigeria. They're rotating leadership amongst themselves while the future of Nigeria are japaing, due to the hardship unleashed on them Everyone will go their separate ways someday. |
extol1:You need to see the way air maroc is spreading now. They've really expanded their airport too, tapping from the opportunity in the aviation industry. You'd think you're in Europe. Who com do us like this in this country? Guess what? Nigerians are their major passengers now, to major destinations globally |
Felimax:It's called wisdom, when you ignore such, not a sign of cowardice. If what you reacted to was life-threatening, then your quote would have made sense. |
stormborn28:Check out the cost of a PCR alone. PCR is just one of the equipment used. We're setting up one centre in Abuja already |
Testing for DNA is a rigorous process. This kit will give false reports and cause chaos in many homes. The DNA equipment combined cost more than 70m naira |
Everyone is just dancing round same drumbeat. What Oba of Benin had said and what Abisoye Oshodi had said were same. Those who were against it were just blabbing and seeking undie relevance The Oba was so honest about his statement, which in my opinion, everyone would've applauded him for instead of the unnecessary attack. He said not every part of lagos but the lagos island, which was called eko back then. The word Eko was even an edo word. Aworis occupied the lagos mainland, up to the Alimosho by extension. The fact is, there was no place called lagos back then but eko. The early settlers were the binis. They didn't go beyond that island space. Aworis didn't occupy the island called eko then and now lagos.. The mainland became lagos by extension. The areas were mainly occupied by the aworis not binis Oba akiolu was right when he tried to educate people like Abisoye Oshodi that the name oshodi never existed among yorubas. Oshodi which was originally known as oshodin is a bini word. The family only identified with lagos by adopting that name. Idumota, idunganran, idumagbo, iga, etc are all bini words. All the old obas of lagos bodies were always being taken to Benin to Bury until the tradition changed. Look at lagos chiefs apparel, oba of lagos apparel too...they're mainly white, both the apparel and caps reflect those seen on bini chiefs. Oshodi has no meaning in yoruba. Those bearing dosunmu too adopted that name, in order to identify with lagos and claim lagos. They were mainly from Ogun state. The correct word was Docemo, That said, that binis were first settlers of eko now lagos doesn't make binis owners of lagos or eko. It's yorubaland. End of story. |
Felimax:You took a great risk. What if he overpowered you, then killed you? Next time, just move on, for the sake of peace. That doesn't make you foolish. |
Segzy19:Exactly. But why not do online transfers to beneficiaries? What were they thinking by withdrawing so much money? |
Still carrying cash in millions, this day and age? Politicians!!! Any money withdrawn in cash can never be traced anywhere. What's money needed for, during budget presentation...to seal the months of those who may see padded figures and react? |
Beejaymic:Are you a first time applicant who hadn't held any of their visas before? You'd always experience some delay in your application, if you are. So, enough patience is needed. Most of those who have been visiting in the past received approvals within 30-35 days. They also consider some other stuffs like if you've been to USA either once or twice or you hold a valid US visa. They have their way of assessing every applicant, which also determines processing time. I've seen 2 weeks approval after application was submitted this year. His biometric was still valid until 2026 |
Kennyg290:That's right |
Vinny102:So long as the visa is still valid, you can enter Canada anytime. I didn't use my last visa until 6 months after it was issued. The program I was going for was cancelled and rescheduled so I had to wait. Its not the business of anyone at POE whether it took you ages before you used your valid visa or not. I had a banker friend who used her visa valid for 3 yrs a few months to expiry. She had to use it so her chance of obtaining another one won't be blocked. She said they may ask her why she didn't use it at all, when renewing and I told her even if she didn't use it at all but she had a valid point, she go jęlo. Visa application is like a transaction between you and the embassy which you paid for. When visa is issued or rejected, transaction don finish and you'd get proof of payment. That's why they always see visa applicants as customers. They won't ask you why you didn't use the product (visa in this case) which they sold to you. Once a visa is issued, the chapter is closed. You can only be penalised if you abused it. All you must get right is your mission in Canada, just in case they ask. If your mission is valid and convincing, you're good to go |
Vinny102:Hmm. That's much oo, on flight ticket alone. Try and be booking well ahead next time...paying for a flight 3-4 months ahead would save you a lot of money. Moreover, you'd have the opportunity of selecting among good airlines. This has always been my habit. |

Klass99:Good point! |
Viseon:He'd get out of it unhurt. I remember the rape case too. Americans like bringing stars down with lawsuits, which is why Messi must be careful before they implicate him. Unfortunately, they're dealing with the wrong person lol |
FreeStuffsNG:When the news favours your master, it's legit, but when it's not, you raise doubt. Na wah for you ![]() Except you live in the moon would you not feel the hardship in the land |
The pressure is just too much on our youths. Anyone who visits various nairaland travel sections would understand better. The root cause is bad leadership. Even their supporters are seriously japaing. You joined hands in electing a bad leader and wants to run away from the problems you created? |
PoliteActivist:You're right. The first time I met my wife. I asked if she had a bf, she said nobody, that she didn't like those who had been coming. She was 27. I now asked if she's a virgin and she smiled and said, i dont know oo, you'd find out yourself. She said she had escaped rape multiple times. I married her a virgin at 28, I was age 30. |
Goalnaldo:If you truly love eachother, put the past behind you and embrace the future. Some people do some regrettable stuffs due to some conditions they never prayed for. |
TemplarLandry:There's nothing to even stress our nerves over. That Edo were the first settlers of Lagos doesn't mean Edo owned Lagos. Edo only settled in an area called Eko, which was an indisputable fact. Also, Edo produced the early monarchs in Lagos. Lagos was known as eko back then. Many of the words on Lagos Island were edo words. They can't be erased. Such words as: Iga, Idunganran, Idumagbo, Idumota, Early Obas of Lagos were always being buried in Benin once they joined their ancestors. They must take them to Edo to Bury and their burial grounds are still in Benin till today. If it wasn't so, then what take a yoruba king from aworiland to Benin to burry...abi ilę ti tan lekoole niii? The Oba of Benin never distorted history. He said it as it was but trust some people, they must flex their muscles on top of nothing. I remember a day oba Akiolu attacked the oshodi family that oshodi was a borrowed name so they could not claim Lagos, that they knew where the word oshodi came from. This happened when the family was fighting over who becomes the oba of oshodi. Awori owns a substantial part of lagos , but lagos mainland. It was called awori that time as lagos Island was called Eko. Awori is today's large part of lagos mainland. Na the Portuguese give lagos that general name. Apart from Lagos , where else in Yorubaland would you see the obas and chiefs white apparel, looking like those of oba of Benin and hue chiefs? Oba Akiolu himself reiterated this, that early settlers of Lagos were the binis. The word Eko is an edo language, not yoruba.l,likewise Oshodin( they later coined it to oshodi). Till today, an edo man or woman coming to lagos wouid say, I'm traveling to Eko, not lagos. |
