How many hotels, industries, shops they own would shock you. Since I've been lodging in hotels outside lagos, I've not seen anyone owned by another tribe, same with transport companies. Can you mention just one popular transport company or hotel in Nigeria owned by us

If you were given a little to manage and you're not managing it well, what do you think would happen when you're given a bigger resource to manage? Nddc have proven to be reckless over the years in spending. Had wike not burst their bubbles, other nddc governors wouldn't have voiced out that buhari gave them money.

Ogun state would have been richer than Lagos but they lack visionary leaders. Investors come to them uninvited, to build and invest in their state yet, they're doing nothing to enhance this opportunity. Most of these industries were in place as a result of individual efforts. Why is Mr governor not hosting economic summit both home and abroad to woo investors? They leave all to the FG to handle. I won't stop talking about kogi state especially, lokoja where bello had performed woefully. I guess one of the mods on nairaland is related to bello cos each time I mentioned his name, I received a ban. This is one of the psycophants who hate the truth. I'd never keep quiet over this because kogi has the potentials of being one of the prosperous states in Nigeria, given its tourist endowment.

If I were the governor, I'd have collaborated with private investors and built a power plant in the various industrial zones. Industries and housing estates springing up would have just been paying for consumption, without even considering hooking up to the national grid.

I'd have also constructed standard highways that would connect places. Lagos-ota-abeokuta expressway is an eyesore. The governor really messed up big time. All of them just want to steal as much as they can and leave. No visionary leaders among our governors. They keep saying wike is building roads but they don't know good roads bring about development. Anyone in doubt should go to alimosho and see wonders of ambode on road construction. As soon as those roads were completed, land appreciated from 14m naira to 27m naira a plot. Today, it has risen to 42m naira with begging sef. Malls, schools and estates too have sprung up. Most of our governors spend the loans they collected on elephant projects, parts of which they'd massively embezzle. Some would be left half done while others would be abandoned and they'd share the money and leave the loan for their successors to service. The masses are always at the receiving end. We'd be wise someday.

I know the road I mentioned above is a federal road but for the sake of the development of Ogun and ease of transportation, the governor should have done the rehabilitation work and passed the bill to the federal government. Wike did this, ambode and Fashola also did this and they were reimbursed by the FG.

I hope someday, Nigerians would begin to hold leaders accountable and chase them off their positions if they live below expectations. We're mainly psycophants rather than hold them to account. We're an obsequious people and that's why we've found ourselves in this terrible situation where our youths who are supposed to develop Nigeria are leaving in droves . Same leaders caused the mess and we are still praising them. Their juju still dey work because we allowed it to.

If it's a conference, a letter of invitation isn't necessary. Just register and pay for the conference, where applicable and upload registration confirmation page alongside the paid invoice for the conference on the portal in the column where invitation letter upload is indicated.

But if its an event to which you're invited, you'd need a letter of invitation from the organiser.

With a good travel history, a visa applicant doesn't need to worry about much documentation. But if you're a first time applicant, the VO would profile you as a potential immigrant so, the onus is on you to prove them wrong by uploading as much documents as possible, guaranteeing convincing ties to your home country.

Aketi should just focus on his ill health and reansmit power to Ayedatiwa infinitely. When a political office holder is battling an ill health for such a long time without much improvement, he should hands-off governance. It's about the people anyway, and not about pecuniary interest. Its public office. Naija politicians shaa. They just want to end it while in office. Aketi that I know would have taken to court fight by now, quoting a section of the constitution and sweating profusely ober the matter, had it been the other way round.

I had a great respect for Akeredolu, he's even my friend on Facebook and he always posted information to my wall when he was contesting for his first term in office. Since he's been sick, he hasn't been sharing Information the way he used to.

The nightmare of Agbado RONUs is the coming together of Atiku and Peter Obi under one ticket again or under whatever arrangement.

If atiku comes out to contest again, and obi decides to pitch his tents close to him( which I doubt), I'd not vote Peter Obi again. They can collapse a structure and merge with other political parties tinfirm a new party, then give the ticket to a southerner. It was Atiku who had been denying a southerner their slot, after contesting and losing. He must step down in 2027 and join the league of elderstatesmen

All the above are lacking in Nigeria today. No country that practises tribalism, religious bigotry, and harbours corruption will ever get it right. I didn't know there were many tribes in America, including States where they speak both English and Spanish, even write it on their billboards and at restaurants, malls ,etc until I visited California and other states. Canada is mixed with English and French people too, likewise Switzerland where you'd find Dutch, french and English speaking people, where I've also been. Yet, they share a common goal.

I once shared a story of Dubai tourism here on NL. I visited my brother who was an undergraduate at UI decades ago a few weeks after their resumption from a semester break. In their hostel, one guy was found reading a popular UK magazine back then called Readers Digest. So all of them picked interest in it. As they were flipping though the pages, they saw an advert on Dubai Tourism where a man in a white apparel was standing by a camel with a catch word Visit Dubai, an Amazing Tourust Destination. Seeing this, all of them laughed hysterically. They said who would visit Dubai of all places and a desert for that matter for Tourism?

Today, it's home to the big shuts across the globe and modern infrastructure with amazing architecture. Their Airlines have won several notable awards. I had boarded their A380 double-decked airbus to Los Angeles once and Paris once. It can lift over 700 passengers at once. Pabambari, they're now banning Nigerians , the giants of Africa from entering Dubai, the same people who once saw Nigeria as a rich and developed country back then. Our leaders messed up big time and we're also supporting them in this mess by voting them into power each time. We're all guilty of this.

A change of mindset and orientation will end this.

Where's that bello of a guy, always shouting and bragging on top of nothing. Kogi has never been lucky with leadership . Sadly, I expected the APC to be a better alternative to the pdp when they came on board with their change agenda, which made me vote and campaign for buhari back then. I was thinking they'd screen their governorship aspirants to the letter and bring technocrats to the fore.

What did they end up with? Tribalism, bigotry, corruption, etc. They're even worse than the pdp . See solid stricture which bello was supposed to have revived. Instead, he'd build another one so he could male money from it. Politics in Nigeria isn't about service to humanity but about stealing as much as you can. I see his moribund Fairplus Transport Company come back to life soon

Many bread winners don't seem to realise that God has placed them in that position so they too can be of help to people around them, including their siblings . The moment they stop, either due to their wife's or husband's or friend's bad advice, the blessing stops too.

Till date, i still send money to my older siblings and God's help and blessing never stop.

Ninu biting cold, haba! Nigerians have become refugees all over the world, no thanks to government bad policies. Today, 1,000 cefa is exchanged for 550 naira, what we used to exchange same 1,000 and get 10,000 cefa for, a few years ago. Are we the only one having economic challenges in the world?

We should never allow anyone who is so desperate to govern Nigeria to near aso vila again. They already had their heinously orchestrated plans....People like buhari and tinubu.

These guys must have sold all their land, houses, resigned from their jobs,spent millions to get there. They can't think of coming back...nothing to fall back on.
