Igbos should relocate the hub to Onitsha. Removing the computer village from Ikeja to that slum doesn't make sense. Bring all your computer business headquarters to Onitsha, including opening of your containers. Even if it means transporting some of the goods back to school, let the end users in Lagos bear the added cost while Onitsha becomes cheaper.

those seen are not the new computer village structures. Look at the picture behind the governor's image on the signboard above...that's the replica when completed not what you are currently seeing. Those ones are temporary shops for okrika or akube cloth sellers

I don't think so. Have you been to the place before? As far as it may seem, people from all over Nigeria go there to buy first grade used clothes in bales. Banks have been moving there already. First Bank and zenith are already there. I'd only urge business minded individuals to consider building nice structures around that place now that people eyes aren't yet there. Rent will sore in that place in a couple of years to come. The roads leading to that place from abule egba have been partially tarred by ambode. Sanwoolu is constructing more roads as well.

To all thinking the place looks like abattoir, they should look at the pictures behind the governor's image on that sign board, that's how the real structure would look like when completed. Those seen in the pictures above are being used by the okrika sellers. They're not the new computer Village structures

The ongoing construction work at the permanent site at Katangowa, Abule Egba Lagos would no doubt, bring huge development to that area. The construction according to the contractor, would be completed in record time. Former Governor Ambode laid the foundation of the modern ICT Market some years back while the current administration is working round the clock to complete the project.

The computer Village in ikeja would be relocated to this location upon completion while the buildings currently occupied by this market in ikeja would be returned to it's residential status. Currently, the Katangowa site is being used by the okrika clothe sellers. This okrika market ranks the largest in Africa. Several people from far and near do visit this market to buy first grade wears and shoes. These okrika sellers would now be relocated to Amikanle/Alaso area of Lagos soon.

Agreed. Even if one gets petrol via the right source, one can still run a gen for 13 hours daily with just 1,500 naira and still spend less than 50k in one month.

Buhari's Administration might not be the best in bringing prosperity to the land. But I will tell you a secret, it is building great resilience in people without him knowing. And that alone can make people (serious ones) excel faster than they would ever have done, once the economy gets better under his Administration or another.

For those who can't wait but would rather choose to relocate to a better country, the resilience built up overtime under this Administration would also work wonders for them in that country. So it's a win-win situation. Patience is a worthy virtue

I don't agree with you, as far as the new tariff is concerned. When the GSM came, it was very expensive to come by. But service was OK. Gradually, as more people purchased SIM cards , the price dropped and now, SIM is almost free today. Almost every home in Nigeria today it connected to phcn grid. The energy tariff is unjustifiable. They're running the sector just like they did in the Nitel days. Be honest to yourself, we're you aware of the percentage increment in the energy tariff before they implemented it?. It was almost 100% increase yet with poor service. This government is fraudulent.

with diesel, its achievable but not 24/7. Even with 1,500 naira, I can run my petrol gen 13 hours a day with one LG AC and one fridge on. I do this everyday. If you divide the 50,000 naira by 1,500 naira, that's 33 days. In many homes in lagos, people don't enjoy electricity for up to 13 hours daily yet, the tariff is so huge. Its high time people began to think outside the box. The increased tariff isn't worth it...not commensurate with the service they're rendering. Get a good gen with sound proof and you'd be fine. This government is a fraud.

N50,000 worth of token in June 2020 gave me 2183.7Kwh

Today, I went to the same place and bought the same N50,000 worth of token gave me 991.1Kwh.

Yet, the FG suspended the recent tariff and it will take effect this month end. Maybe N50,000 token will not give me more than 200Kwh.

I told my neighbour in November that the increment was nearly 100% excluding vat, based on my comparison with the previous months consumptions. She came knocking angrily at my door and said she's been short-changed by the IKDC, asking if I had same experience and I just laughed. By the time I sat her down, explaining things to her, she now became calm. The most annoying part of the matter is that, they didn't even tell the general public of the percentage increment. They just applied the new tariff codedly. Remember they said last year they'd not increase tariff after people and interest group threatened a nationwide protest. This government is he most fraudulent I've ever seen in Nigeria. The service is even getting worse instead of improving.

Any little quarrel between husband and wife nowadays would always end this way. My pastor told me something about my wife ( not adultery or witchcraft) 2 years ago and I told her .
