Dear Deborah, you are doing a courageous work like Deborah of the Bible. I will keep you in prayers. Send me a private message if you need someone to chat with. Please try and contact those agencies suggested by others, as soon as possible, to get the necessary help you need. I was also wondering if you would send your mom or brother's number privately. I could call, and tell either of them, you posted on nairaland and that you are safe. It's risky for me, but if that's all I can do for now to help, I'll be glad to do so. Love you. Shalom |
You are so evil mehn! Repent! MrNice04: |
"Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it."- 1 Peter 3:11 Repent of your sins. Give your life to Jesus Christ, so that you will escape the coming judgement. Jesus Christ has paid the full price of your sins, so that you are not condemned for your sins. Accept his gift of life now. Turn away from your sins; from fornication, immorality, and depravity. "Seek the Lord while he may be found"- Isaiah 55:6-7 Forsake wickedness and evil. God says, "Come now, let us reason together, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” - Isaiah 1:18-20 "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." - Hebrews 3:8 |
Although they are his property, he is responsible for the children he brought into this world. It's his duty to ensure they are established as much as possible before he passes on. His children did not ask to be born, he brought them here. It's only decent and essential of him to leave something for them to start life with or support their hustle, if he has such means/resources, instead of squandering it. talk2hb1: |

I am a Christian and I know God does manifest powerfully and miraculously. But watching this is appalling; there is a lot of distortion of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray we continue to seek the Holy Spirit to guide and keep us in truth regarding this phenomenon: Mega churches Watch video at link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTfKpAWkgJY |
Dear young man, I am sorry for all the pain you have suffered from your mom. Forgive her for she doesn't know what she is doing. Don't feel that your suffering is unique though. Recognize that it's a fallen and depraved world and everyone has suffered in various degree from the consequence of sin. Your mom may have been a victim of abuse, and unless you determine to break the cycle of this 'curse' you will continue to perpetuate it. May be you have been called to end the cycle and that is why you hurt so much. Determine therefore that the vicious cycle of abuse and toxicity will end by you, and this will begin, when you release forgiveness and mercy to your mom. God loves you so much. Give your life to Jesus Christ - All you are, your pain, your hurt, your curse, your sin- surrender all to Jesus Christ. You need God's forgiveness and mercy too. Ask God for it. Ask Jesus Christ to give you the Holy Spirit who will empower you to release your mom in forgiveness, and empower you to release your self from the pain of the past. Jesus Christ will fill the void in your life, and heal the ache of your heart; your deep sorrow will be turned to joy. If Jesus did it for me, Jesus can do it for you, if you invite him. Revelation 3:20 - Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 2Cor. 5:17 -Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. |

Thank you for sharing your experience -A lot of lessons to learn here. I think it's particularly inspiring that you are resolute in acting right towards his wife and family, and in upholding your values and principles. The best is yet to come! |
Maybe you could go easy with the cynicism. If I were doing such dirty chores, I'd like to be covered up too. There's nothing hygienic about having filth bath my skin. Abilistic: |
Whether I saw casualties in the video or not does not change the fact that there were casualties. Sanwo-Olu has already verified that. At least at the bolded, you have admitted that shooters fired shots at the site of the protest. Case closed. Incognito403: |
Thank you for sharing this video. Where is the propaganda here? The video link you posted showed that: 1. Security operatives actually fired shots at the site of the protest. 2. Shooting started before it got very dark and continued for about an hour 3. Before the shooting, protesters were unarmed and not aggressive 4. When the shooting initially started, the protesters were terrified, anxious and attempted to scamper for safety 5. Pandemonium broke loose, well after the shooting, and was clearly triggered by the shooting (violence begets violence) Even if there were no fatalities, which is unlikely, would you say it is acceptable/appropriate to open fire on unarmed citizens? I think it is criminal and a violation of basic human rights, to open fire at the protesters. Can you guarantee that the probability of fatality occurring from opening fire at such close range of such a crowd, will be zero? Incognito403: |
The foundation of a marriage should be the Love of God, not financial interest. |
Making a general statement, 'make sure you marry a woman who makes money' may be unnecessary. Marriage is or should be a union of complementary partners (i.e one partner completes the other). There are ladies that are inclined to be financially independent, and may be satisfied with equal sharing of the financial burdens of their home. There are others who will be financially independent but would prefer their husbands remain the sole provider for the home. Then there are the ones that would depend on their husbands financially, and stay home (usually because of childcare, or even otherwise). The same goes for the guys; there are men who prefer their wives are financially dependent on them. There are the ones who look forward to sharing the financial burdens equally with the wife. To each, her/his own. Partner with the one that complements your being or style. However, seeking to control another by contriving the financial dependence of a spouse, is debasing. Like someone stated yesterday, aspire to negotiate with your spouse, not to control. And this call to negotiation is not just because the laws in the Western country empower the wife. But because she has these inalienable rights conferred on her by her Creator. She's made in the image and likeness of God. These 'Western countries' are actually executing the will of God in such matters. Therefore, a husband has no moral ground to control and debase his wife because she's financially dependent on him. She deserves to be treated with respect and dignity simply because she's a human being - his equal. |
Excellent response! I think the problem with the Fulani herdsmen is lack of relevant education. There are a lot of resources in the north, including geographical space; but they lack knowledge on how to utilize the resource or transform what they have into the haven they want, so they feel the need to plunder down south. For example some parts of Southern California have desert climate that have been transformed by environmental engineering, such that it's hard to tell that it's originally desert. selemo: |
You are not a born again Christian, and you are probably a rapist. GoTV: |
Alzirida:For true Christian believers, we love God because God first loved us- 1 John 4:19. A married couple united by true love, do not remain together through thick and thin because they have delusions that they are immortal in this life. Rather, they are committed to a loving relationship out of love for each other, even though they know that one day death will separate them in this life. We love God because God first loved us. Eternal life and abundant living are just perks (benefits) for a loving relationship of vibrant connection to our Source. Eternal life is not primary motivation to love God (we are inherently unworthy of eternal life), but it's a gift bequeathed through Christ to those who believe (John 3:16; Romans 6:23). We love God because God first loved us (1 John 4:19). God is Love, Good, Righteous, Excellent, perfect in Wisdom, Power and Beauty, the One who was, who IS, and WHO Is to Come. (Philippians 4:8; Revelation 1:8; Revelation 4:8,11; Exodus 15:11) If relationships between imperfect-humans can be committed and true in the face of death, how much more a relationship with God who is Source of Love, God who is Holy, Glorious, Awesome, Beautiful, Righteous, Excellent, Just, and loves us unconditionally and sacrificially... A relationship God is determined to continue for eternity. Why won't we, love God? (Romans 8:38; Exodus 34:6,7; Romans 2:4). God's Spirit lives in us and empowers us to BE good and not just to DO good (Romans 8:6,9,14). Christ’s love compels us (2 Corinthians 5:14,15). |
by Brandon Specktor MSN Lifestyle (The post first appeared on Reader's Digest). 5/9/2019 If you live in a city, every commute could be a "best-of" reel of dangerous driving. Car doors, in particular, have become an excellent teaching aid in proving Newton’s law that no two objects can occupy the same space simultaneously. Bikers, often sandwiched in a bike lane between parked cars and flowing traffic, are so prone to being struck by errant car doors that the phenomenon now has a name: 'dooring'. Sadly, it's more common than you'd think. As for scary driving scenarios, follow these driving tips to maintain control and stay safe. A 2011 report found that there was roughly one dooring accident in Chicago every day of the year, accounting for about one in five of all reported bike crashes. New York City announced a plan to raise dooring awareness among taxi passengers by including a video advertisement and “LOOK! For Cyclists” sticker in all 13,000 city cabs (Chicago declined to pass a similar measure several years ago). This is a nice start for a city that serves about 336,000 cab passengers every day. Still, a sticker does not a behavioral overhaul make, and there are more than 128,000 Uber and Lyft vehicles in the city who will miss this message altogether. What, then, is the next step to ensure peace between bikers and drivers? The excellent urban design blog 99% Invisible reports a simple, almost effortless motion you can take as a driver or passenger of a motor vehicle concerned about cyclist safety: Just open your door with your right hand. This tip comes to us from the Netherlands, which is why it’s known here as the “Dutch Reach.” If you are sitting on the driver’s side of a parked car and want to get out, don’t open the door with your door-side (left) hand as you’re intuitively prepared to—instead, open the door with your right hand. This simple motion causes you to pivot your entire upper body as you reach, first drawing your line of sight past by your rear-view mirror, and then out to the street behind you. (If you are on the passenger’s side, use your left hand instead of your right; the trick is just to use the hand furthest from the door to ensure an upper-body pivot.) It’s just that simple—and it works. So effective is the Dutch Reach that it doesn’t even have a name in the bike-friendly Netherlands. For decades, that’s just how drivers have been taught to open a door. Like any habit, the Dutch Reach will take a while to internalize. DutchReach.org, a safety advocacy movement trying to make the reach mainstream, has plenty of resources for spreading the word, and a few slogans that could help you remember. Our favorite: “Reach, Swivel, Look, Open.” (edited) |
Watch his story of leading a revolution, and comment: "Jerry Rawlings popularly known as J.J, is the former president of Ghana. A hands on, brave and astute leader mostly revered and known for revolutionizing the political and economic status of Ghana at a dire point in its history. His famous escape from execution in 1979 and the brave rescue by his military friends from a dictatorial government became his turning point, for presidency." -CGTN Africa Short YouTube documentary at this link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikHpFgKJax8 |
From a scientist that has seen the power of God, please I urge you to ask Christ into your life by talking to God as a personal friend. God is for real and loves you. Also, watch Emmanuel TV. May God bless you. casa101: |
Please watch Emmanuel TV. Zealously participating in Christian activity doesn't translate to a relationship with God. Ask Christ into your life by talking to God as a personal friend. God is for real and God loves you. May God bless you. pennywys: |

Even though I'm a born again Christian, i think Nigeria needs to emulate Saudi Arabia by limiting the rights and opinions of Christian women especially. A driving and social media ban for women in Nigeria is good to start with. Women are becoming more bold and their actions if not curtailed with strict rules will keep bringing down men of repute. Biodun is the victim today and I'm ashamed of how we Christians are dragging his innocent name in the mud.
