Omakraid:Congrats Ma. This is gooood news. May the joy that has come to your home by virtue of her addition never cease. Wishing all TTCs the awakening of their womb to do that it was mandated to do from creation. Wishing all those yet to offload and easy peasy journey till the end. |

Diapers - 5700 ×2= 11400 but I go with 12k to avoid stories that touch. Food: We bought 16k the last time as against 15k a month ago. Clothes: Nil as I last bought during his dedication period and prior to 3 months as well as gifts received that he wears, some are big which are reserved for when he grows. Body care: Whatever you buy can last more than a month. Buy the soap in packet like 4 in 1....... The cost driver is his food as I don't intend to buy 2 bags of diapers this month but 1 only. I decided not to wear him diapers for the place to breath today as he's wearing a pant and lying on a pilch. To be on a safe side, I budget 30k monthly for him. If I have any savings, it's to carry forward to the next month and bring the budget down if I haven't used the money for other things like wipes, comfort liquid ... |
@phargbemmy please mail me on hadediong@gmail.com as I can't access my NL mail I used to sign up. Good evening |
Dear OP, it depends on your budget. I buy 2 diaper bags in the biggest size monthly as he was using 6 per day on average. Clothing: I haven't spent much as my family gifted him clothes. I wear him till he outgrows them. Quality okrika. Feeding: if your wife can do exclusive, let her go ahead as it's cost saving. I don't lactate well and now feed him with only one breast since he rejected the other since 2 months plus. He eats 1 tin of Nan1 for 5 days at most. We buy half carton at 16k monthly. Body care: The things I bought before he was born, we're still using them and will last for couple of months. |
Phargbemmy:I'm yet to bring family into it. I don't know who can talk to him as I believe the lack of accountability is the reason for him not trying to severe ties. Amen |
OP, sorry about your experience. Do what is right for your sanity. |
He2nuholuwa:Good evening Ma, Sent as requested. |
ednut1:All of us? Why not rephrase to some church going ladies. Honestly I always complain to my hubby of the way ladies dress in his church. One of the usher's slit today ehn.... she's married. The skirt was short and the slit was up to her buttocks. I have never heard the ministers admonish them. Make I stop before I write epistles. |
This thread is funny. Uman AKS isongho |
NigPatriot:Thanks for this |
Good evening, my younger sister just got assistantship for her MSC in the US. Please what does she need to know at this point as she said she's been hearing I-20 and doesn't understand it. |
kokaiye:Thank God for you Ma. |
FlowerGirl040:You're right Ma |
FlowerGirl040:Asin ehn...I was so scared and cautious after his circumcision as I was due to leave for Lagos to be with my mum |
miracletoday:Taking care of a baby plus yourself is serious work if you're not a domesticated person like me. I couldn't walk well due to the stitches, doing house chores was not easy at all. You're eating and the baby needs your attention of which my mum warns me to always finish my meal before giving baby attention or I'll not be healthy. Cooking and going to the market isn't easy o as you're struggling to heal. The thing is the baby will deprive you of sleep at night and if you're alone, it'll be difficult to make up for the sleep loss during the day as you have list of activities waiting for you. My aunt always advise to have someone around as it can cause postpartum depression |
Omakraid:The alternative is not to do it at all as advised by your doctor but my Mama no gree. I had to do it as my fav Aunt would have beaten me if I didn't but my MIL thanked her for a good job done well as I was looking good for his dedication ceremony. My tummy isn't folded as my colleagues and customers ask my secret for looking like someone who hasn't birthed before. If you're not alone, it's doable as my mum ensured that I always sleep and stayed awake with him since I wasn't doing exclusive and if it persists, she'll wake me up to breastfeed. I also have a distant cousin that was with me to assist us with taking care of him which gave me time to sleep. If you're alone, you'll want to do chores as visitors will always troop in to greet baby. |
Omakraid:As a FTM with a boy clocking 4 months on Thursday, pregnancy was stress free, labor was cool but postpartum was hell for me especially healing from the stitches, inability to pass stool with ease, painful breastfeeding for a first timer, hot water bath and massage. Breastfeeding was painful initially but it got better over time and I only nurse with one breast as the other refuses to pump well till date. As regards waking up at night, it was always 3 to 4 times till about 7 weeks it dropped to 2, 3 or no waking at all if there's no heat. It's easy to say sleep when baby sleeps but not doable most times. It's frustrating if after feeding the baby refuses to sleep but if the room is cool, baby will definitely cooperate this is after they've overcome colic. |
My aunt's landlord used to beat his wife when they have misunderstandings. His death seemed like a relief as her confidence grew and she was able to set up a business as he was always taking the capital from her to squander causing some of their fights. He left 4 boys behind, if I know a girl that will want to end up with any of them, I'll be worried for her that the person didn't take after him. How does the OP expect that the man will be a great father after what has happened. He may have tendencies of violence towards the children each time he remembers her. The emphasis on the father's role makes me scared that the OP can condone Dv for his daughter because her children need their father. If the man was playing his role effectively, he would have been concerned on showing a good example to his boys. |
pocohantas:Now you know why I missed you as I just learned something from you. You and vawulence in your last paragraph. ![]() |
limpopo:We'll try. |
Esthered:I don't know how someone who claims to value his name above all things did not open a business account to separate the business from himself. If he was to be called out, it would have been the business name madam A would have called out as she could have been Transacting with his business account. As the wisest man that FutureF... is, one of your lessons learned should be that you need to separate the business from you going forward. Someone suggested the need to learn customer management skill et el but baba dey para. I hope he would just calm down and embrace peace. |
Layormiii:Aunty wa, don't let him come for you o. He even called me foolish while giving my opinion. |
pocohantas:Good to hear. You're welcome. You are loved on this space. |
pocohantas:You were absent online today, I hope you're recuperating. |
IamGreen1:Thank goodness that someone is seeing that he's been stubborn ab initio and now dared them when he was told to give a resolution. They went ahead based on his daring them, he's now coming to shalaye. The thing is I wished he allowed 3rd parties settle the issue as someone offered to help bear the loss but he was forming action. The problem with anger trying to always being right instead of playing the fool and let Karma take it's full course. Now he remembers his name is worth billions. |
IamGreen1:She's engaging him as we can see. |
nonny400:It's unfortunate but he can do better than that. I agree that they went overboard with the scammer tag. I hope the issue will be resolved and laid to rest. |
Moorenic mail me on hadediong@gmail.com as I can't access my mail. Regards |
FutureFocus:Agbaya oshi...you must always resort to insult, evidence of low self esteem. If it happens, it's part of life and I'll accept the apologies and move on which is hard for you. People even testified of their good dealing with you but you no wan gree. The bible days if you listen to everything said, you'll hear your servant curse you. It's normal to be defamed but how you handle it matters. Always blocking shoppers from seeing road. Wise man but you're the epitome and capital of foolishness on this thread as regards the tab and subsequent events. Ediot. |
FutureFocus:I didn't insult you but here you are calling me foolish but acting foolish. If you weren't one, how would you know I'm one. Inasmuch as you were labelled a scammer, I still see people patronizing you regardless which invalidates whatever you're called to an extent. You need to pray for wisdom more. You can't curse me oga, you'll do yourself more harm than good if you try me. If I'm labelled a scammer, I'll do everything to prove people wrong by holding the highest form of integrity in my dealings and handling issues effectively before they escalate and damage my brand. You just open your buccal cavity to be insulting people anyhow. I'm not on your payroll neither have I solicited anything from you. I only gave my honest opinion and if you insult me, I would do same as no be only you get craze here. |
Wait O, this FutureFocus, I hope you're not hiding under the cloak of christianity to practice evil. The Lord's prayer talks about forgiveness, but you seem so bitter that you are on a cursing spree. How do you go before the throne of grace to make supplications while still cursing people. Your type brings a discredit to the religion. I thought someone mentioned that you're mature in age but I don't see it in your handling of issues here. You seem like someone who will be assassinating opponents if he had an opportunity. I've been following the brouhaha but honestly you've lost my respect, who the tin epp sef. I wonder the kind of example you show your children. I know that it's poor people that always wake up to curse sha from experience and their level of attainment in life is always limited. The mods should take action as it has lingered for too long. I'm sure he broke the rules this time. |
