ednut1:
The igbos also committed atrocities against the minorities. But they dont want that part to be out there. So they embark on mass victim mentality. But the people in akwa cross, abonema, port harcourt, bendel and asaba know the truth.
My mum told me of her uncle who starved to death as he was forced to be a fighter by Biafra as he was offered lizard to eat during the war. We Akwaibomites have our reservations about them if it's actualized and we're in the map because they may bully us and take over the few oyel resources in the state.
Even in the current Nigeria, how many people from AKS and CRS are major players in the oil industry. We have our issues when it comes to individual aspiration but if the secession happens I see us being marginalized.

Thought I was the only one who got bored. Heck, I will only recommend the movie for kids or to someone who suffers from insomnia - you will sleep. Other people who got my feedback about the movie called me a critic. It's fine.
I watched the movie at the cinema and it wasn't worth it. The children using toys as weapons to fight was the height of it.
Just as Madam Ishi said, the gay narrative sef tire me.
Marvel has a lot of work to do with their script. Even the graphics showed that it's the same team that are doing it if you've followed their movies, especially when they're using their powers.

Yes, I believe it was part of their strategies to appeal to the younger generation but I also think that the platform is too expensive and overrated, especially for a new company. The likes of Vbank and Fairmoney have shown that there are other avenues to appeal to the market without investing so much.

Yes, the e-commerce is Payporte cheesy They went bankrupt after sponsoring the season 3 edition of the show. It was so bad they couldn't pay staff salaries and prizes won by the season 3 housemates. Few years after, they rebranded sha, switched from e-commerce to a fashion/clothing brand, and never went back to Big Brother.

And you're right about the corporate y**** thing, my dear. There are rumours that many fintech owners are deeply involved.
When I read the profile of last year's sponsors, I was wondering how did they make so much, how old and profitable is their business to be able to sponsor such show. As at that time was when the legislation banning crypto was being emphasized, the advertisement by Patricia on BBN was about their crypto and bitcoin services, I was worried if the government would clamp down on them but they never did.

banks are not making profits from charges.

Most of their profits come from loans and investments.
There's NII(Non Interest Income) in banking, this is where charges and other earned income are classified.

Omihanifa:
Most companies that rush to sponsor BBnaija don’t have sense. The show doesn’t have any impact on their sales. Imagine a supermarket like grandex. Last year they sponsored the show and they didn’t see much impact after wasting money. This year they didn’t even bother.

Same thing applies to GET FIT the company that was marketing Waist Trimmers, Body Shapers and rechargeable blenders. These are items that you can easily market or sell via Instagram and YouTube with the aid of influencers. What the point of paying so much to Multichoice. I just dey pity PEPSI. Every year they keep spending so much and yet in Nigeria they don’t even control the market share in the soft drink sector
Get Fit I think wanted more visibility and an influencer that has great followership on social media as it's not enough to just put up an ad with an unknown face and it's cheaper for an ex-housemate to market the product than an established star.
I believe that any company wanting to sponsor must have done their cost-benefit analysis before embarking on sponsoring such program.

You see all these financial technology companies spending billions on ads and Big Brother Naija, better run oo. If you must patronise them, please watch closely and know when to run.
It takes a minimum of 1 Billion Naira to co-sponsor the show.

Patricia tried it and now the company is f**ked. Revolution Plus did it and messed up investors' confidence. Abeg is literally dead, etc. That show wrecked another e-commerce company like that. People should also be careful with the likes of Piggyvest.
I thought it was part of their strategies to appeal to the viewers who are predominantly youths.
The ecommerce company, is it Payporte? They have an outlet opposite Benin Airport and I don't see heavy commercial activities going on there. I only imagined where they got money to sponsor or the owner is a corporate y**** guy as they're called here.

She was in the Senate for over 4 terms, why didn't she give voice in her constituency she represented? It's just a gimmick. In Surulere, we still saw Gbaja's impact to an extent as I lived there. I worked in one of the areas under her constituency, no impact.
Food › Re: What Adjustments Have You Made To Cope With The Rising Inflation (Pictures) by Esthered: 6:27pm On Sep 09, 2022
Dear OP, I have adjusted to strict buying in bulk but my experience at the market today still makes me think if I can cope.
I wrote on my list Dano cool cow carton, 30g sachet and I was trying to get the best bargain, it was 550 per row last month and went up to 570 same last month and someone told me 600 per row today. I just respected myself to buy 10 rows at 550 and not carton.
I bought Kisskids diapers at 5500 last month, the man said 5900 and I begged and I got it at 5800 and I am still thinking I should go back tomorrow to buy another one before it'll be 6500 by next month but will my son grow that fast to another size and it becomes waste of effort......
Sunlight bag was 5k plus when I bought last year as I use it for 6 months and it's now 7,600 today.
Na to dey monitor my people for house with their consumption, even my baby wey dey poop 3 times some days, I go caution am o.
Mothers in Benin, how can I get the ingredients for Tombrown in Benin as NAN 2 is 34000 for carton last month, I no get mind to price am this month cry

What'll will happen if the Ooni stays without a wife to become a better person and then remarry much later.
He's too quick to move on. If it were to be my gender, they'll flood this thread.
He even went for an 'evening newspaper' as fondly called here, who they assume not to be desirable but in reality the reverse is the case.

True.

I avoid Facebook and other social media like a plague.
Feel more comfortable here on nairaland because everything seems sane. I guess due to it been anonymous and people can’t really upload status and videos so nairaland is a bit quiet than other social apps.
Same here.

I don't know your full story but, please, if you need to delete certain apps from your phone like LinkedIn and co, please do (if you honestly do not need them). You need to get your act together and don't allow social media mess you up.

I don't think getting a new degree will solve anything to be honest as it is not the main source of your worry. Lets say you get a B.Sc. from NOUN or UNILAG at 34, few minutes on LinkedIn will make you feeling like your degree is worthless and useless. By the time you see 19-year-old girls with 2 first class degrees from Wales and Oxford on LinkedIn, won't your worries return?!

You need to address the source of your worry, which is FINDING fulfilment in what you do. That is the most important step! It is not always about doing what you love as what you love is never stable. It is about loving what you do by being intentional. Ultimately, the goal is not to impress anyone.
I deleted LinkedIn from my phone in 2018 when I almost suffered depression because I thought everyone had left me behind.
I saw my fellow colleague in my former company who was an account officer claim account manager on his profile on LinkedIn.
Since then till date, I don't do Instagram, Twitter..... I log into Facebook once in a month. Too many lies that can make a hardworking person feel inferior.

I think NIBSS should be first checked. Upon some prospective customers being enrolled for BVN without an account being opened, they receive calls from unscrupulous elements masquerading as bank officials asking if they have opened an account.....
If NIBSS is monitored and not treated as a mere government agency, the fraud via phone calls will be at it's barest minimum. Banks should aggressively sensitize their customers as some gullible.

Wow, I never thought of it as fake but rather I asked that it be preserved at room temperature instead and it doesn't change from the original state after opening.

Family › Re: What Was Your First Apartment As A New Couple. by Esthered: 9:53pm On Jul 03, 2022
It was a distant marriage initially and hubby lived in what is called face me I face you in Lagos but passage house in Benin. I moved in with him after 18 months of marriage and I was 3 months gone with our son.
We started house hunting in August and through his colleague we got a 3 bedroom apartment in the same GRA where we were living in a passage house.
We moved in on a Sunday in December and I delivered on the following Tuesday.
My answer to the OP is 4 rooms passage house. People familiar with Benin environs will understand.
