Lol... but what's all this about bra? She was fully clothed nah. Bra is a choice. Some guys wear pants, some don't. |
See people embarrassing themselves here ![]() The dumb ones are always the first to call other dumb. Hehe... |
The dangers of a one sided story... |
This is awesome |
You hear moral decay and next thing is "ladies". Lol. Men playing saints as usual. |
ubunja:Ok. |
hayzed1090:I'm glad we both agree the two genders have their forts (areas of better performance). None is superior, none is a second class human. Logically, this absence of superiority/inferiority invariably implies equality and that, my bro, is the equality of which we talk. Like I always say, it is also the need for equal opportunities and the absence of prejudice. |
Ryan03:Lol |
ubunja:Still waiting for your counter logic.... |
virgoquin:It takes two to tango... |
Michellekabod2:Perfectly put. I mean, if things were right, why should the women folks be overly concerned about losing men's respect? Don't they deserve some respect too? Do men fear losing women's respect when they go preaching chauvinism? Most importantly, why would a man disrespect a woman simply because she asks to be treated as a fellow first class citizen? So he'd rather have her trailing behind as usual? What exactly is the fear about? Truth is, any form of respect that does consider women as equal is mediocrity. |
Michellekabod2:Let your instincts guide you. In such endeavours, no one can be cajoled or persuaded into participating. You can only be driven by the desire to change some things happening around you. Just stay open minded |
ubunja:Thank you. You are right. Both genders compliment each other and are equal as none is superior to the other (this is not reality but the end goal) |
ubunja:Equality here is not about shying away from the fact that men are stronger in some places while women are better in others, no. In fact, equality here is about acknowledging those differences and appreciating the fact that they compliment each other so no gender is actually superior to the other. It's about removing prejudice. It's about equal opportunities and recognition. Let the woman try and fail, don't deny her the trial cause she's a woman. |
ubunja:Hatred for men is called Misandry and not feminism. A misandrous lady might hide under the canopy of feminism but then that doesn't make feminism hatred for men. Every good cause has the tendency to be adulterated by some folks but such does not make the cause less worthwhile. Feminism is about equality and co-existence. This shouldn't be a problem for any well meaning individual. |
Dear OP, I'd be dishonest to myself if I say I don't quite see your point. Women aren't making things easier for themselves and it's discouraging. However, quiting a quest for equality of genders (a noble quest, I must say) cause women don't thrive to take care of themselves and be independent of men as much they should is like a doctor running away when he sees accident victims. Feminism is not all about chastising men and telling them how they should treat and make space for women. It's also about pushing women and telling them how they should thrive on their own. So what you mentioned as a reason for quiting feminism is actually part of the reason why were a feminist in the first place. You saw the problem you came to solve and you're running away. If Nigerian ladies were as resourceful as their male counterparts, they wouldn't be much need for feminists like yourself. Calling out lazy women, criticising ladies who feel entitiled, speaking against girls that trade their bodies for money, encouraging ladies to learn some skills, etc are as much the jobs of a feminist as criticizing men who treat women like second class citizens is. Thetefore, I think what you need is not to quite the cause but to first review your definition of the concept of feminism and then decide afterwards if you can carry the cross. My opinion |
ubunja:Cause the concept is wrong or you just don't like the title? |
ubunja:Such a bold assertion yet baseless. Lol |
DanDeeBoss:How does feminism imply hatred for men? |
Would a man stay faithful if the reverse is the case? |
blessedtj:So should she stay faithful? |
Chelsea82:Just like that? |
But this video is as old as time... ![]() |
Sofistcatdmoron:Yes o. Men are angels! |
Nat404:Oga, you see your life? You just want to show yourself. Now, drop your pride here, go back and read my message again; this time, more carefully. Also read the context. The expression "have you eaten rice?" is not a Nigerian greeting so why would I use it with a Nigerian? Isn't that exactly the point I was buttressing in that message? I said the expression is a form of greeting in Chinese and that was in a bid to stress that different cultures have different forms of greetings and none is unacceptable provided it's understood within the society. I said in that same message that people should rather employ the form of greeting applicable to their current location. "Chi fan le?" simply means "have you eaten rice?" or even more literally "eaten rice?". However you want to translate to suite the region of the target language or whichever expression in the target language you want to use to replace it is up to you but it does not make me wrong in any way cause it actually means "have you eaten rice?". And it's not outdated. Feel free to twist it again.... |
Nat404:Thank you bro... Now, could you kindly go back and explain what is wrong with my translation? Just stop running around, people are watching you. Otherwise, don't quote any further. |
Maldini212:Not much different from the one you came from! |
Nat404:You keep saying here is and yet you post nothing! You do not know how to share a file? Are your Nairaland skills also as dumb as your Chinese language skills? If your pride would let you, kindly find out how to share files from someone here... Or don't even bother, I'm embarrassed having this chat with you. I should have known from your first message you were empty. Re-read all our chats and see how you never (not even once) argued logically. You never countered my point or refuted any of my claims with counter claims. You said my translation was wrong, I broke it down so it'll be easy for you to say what's exactly wrong with it and you resorted to insults. Now you want to share files as if they prove anything. Dude, just be going. Next time, look well before engaging. |
Nat404:Keep twisting it and keep changing the goal post. First, you said my translation was wrong. Now (apparently after consulting Google), you're back to say it's old. Still you're wrong either ways. It is an informal greeting between friends and family members (also used when you want to go very personal instead of the typical "ni hao?" . It might be older than recent informal greetings but it's still commonly used everywhere in streets of Beijing till this very minute. Let's even assume it's actually deprecated like you said, how does that make my translation wrong? Was my grammar wrong? Am I wrong to have said it's a form of greeting? Apparently, you were just looking for a chance to show off. If you do translation and do not know my translation is correct, you should probably return those guy's money to them and get another career in farming. Go back to your first message to me and tell me who the arrogant one is. Take a look at the other guys arguing with me and see how civilised human beings debate online. |
Nat404:Lol... You keep arguing with no point. Correct the Chinese or just point out what's wrong with it. What's my business with Nigerian companies? Bro, I finished my HSK6 in 2013 and I've done far more international translations (both French and Chinese) than you might possibly do in your entire cereer. |
