Ciaos:Your own is to carry women matter for head even when the thread has nothing to do with them. Women women women. Obsession. |
Stephani3e:Ignore him or just pity him. Most male Nairalanders have self esteem issues and therefore need to disparage the feminine gender just to boost their own mangled ego especially the younger ones. |
The student walked up to you and asked, "sir, why se.x smells?" and you didn't deem it necessary to correct his/her poor command of English language before delving into the se.x topic! ![]() |
Infinityk:If you really want to conduct a research, never use the bolded line above. It's condescending and people who use it are usually empty. |
OP probably thinks he's being smart. The whole write up is just rubbish, no cohesion. |
“The proposed competition of witchcraft and magic spells was unheard of in the country and it was regarded as an anomaly in the lives of the people of eSwatini,” government spokesman Percy Simelane said in a statement. The above statement suggests the proposed competition would be the first to its kind as suggested by the expression "unheard of". And then you went ahead to say "... the competition would have pit witchdoctors against traditional healers as under the previous king Sobhuza II, who died in 1982". This second statement implies the competition had been been taking place under the leadership of the previous leader. Guys, please, point out where I missed it cause I find the two statements contradictory. Meanwhile, except the competition is really dangerous and threatening to the lives of the citizens, it might be difficult finding a legal ground for banning it in a country where citizens have the right to any religion of their choice. The whole thing reminds me of Merlin where sorcery is outlawed for similar reasons. Africa is very interesting and should be used as a connector between the western world and history. |

iCauseTrouble:You don't know what feminism is. |
shortgun:Talking about this age, you should really go back to the '70s cause that's where your ideology fits in. |
decatalyst:If not that this one ended in marriage now, you'd still be the one to call her Olosho looking for whose destiny to destroy ![]() |
"What could have laid him do this, is really inhuman act." ![]() OP, you just made my day with this. |
victorian:Lol... why are you fighting with yourself? |
iPopAlomo:I'm not responsible for what you understood. |
If you don't like the program, don't watch it. Don't allow your kids watch it. That should suffice. Let's those who like it watch. Don't force your morality on others. There are numerous explicit adult contents online, our Nigerian music videos are pornographic, some of the movies we see today are full of se.x scenes, etc. How many have they baned? I don't even know why we criticise BBN but hail our musicians knowing fully well that even BBN is not half as explicit as our music videos. I do no like the show cause I find it boring. I don't watch it. It's that simple. |
Korllami007:He should go through it. It's fine. I'm only irked by the conscious efforts by guys here to make it a norm. My take is that it will have a degenerating effect in the long run. You'd see things like "sorry we cannot employ you cause most of our clients are men, they can't work with you", "oh we can't take you, other men who work here can't stand it", "sorry, you cannot be a gynecologist, you're not a women", "you can't lead this country.....", you can't, you can't, you can't... Such limitations based on gender would be inevitable and of course, disastrous. I'm not pissed when people think I'm a lady cause of my stance. Lol. |
Fear men! |
NoRetreat:How has the women been playing safe ? Being careful and decent. Some people get out of false accusations based on their near past records. If you choose not to travel with a lady cause it'll be tempting or you're scared of what might be said, it's your personal decision. Let those who can do it. I don't have problems with the guy in question. I'm just saying it's a bit excessive encouraging men in general to make it a norm in society. |
babyfaceafrica:It is not safe in the long run. Discrimination is the only possible outcome. Men will still be raping women. You only care about false accusations as if that's a more heinous crime than rape. |
Korllami007:The fact that you called me "ma'am" only shows the crux of your argument. You believe I'm lady since I don't agree with your stance on rape and rape accusations; you expect every man to fall in line with your opinion. You're already making it a "man-should-stand-by-men" thing instead of a logical response to the issue at hand. Anyway, let's not get carried away, men who are found guilty of rape are punished. Women who are found guilty of false accusations should also be punished severely. That's all about it. Drawing sharp between the two genders will lead to discrimination in many ways. That's all I'm saying. I'm a man, brother. |
babyfaceafrica:Easier said |
babyfaceafrica:Nothing is worse than being raped though |
Korllami007:And not the men that have been raping women since stone ages? Ok |
Korllami007:Woman suffer from rape all over the world every minute. That doesn't call for such sharp lines but the reputation of a few innocent men does ? Lol... It's fine |
NoRetreat:Regardless of how we see it, it's a division. Employment would be based on that, leadership would be based on that, etc... and going back to the old days |
babyfaceafrica:Lol... You and I know the gender that will violate the rules. Let's not pretend, it's in men to seek women (not necessarily for copulation). Simply put, the masculine gender can't withstand such division especially in countries where that was never the norm. But that's aside the point. If such divisions are encouraged, it'll extend into many other aspects life - employment, leadership, etc and would eventually undermine the struggles of gender equality. |
Ibile77:Such division along gender lines will have a far reaching damaging effect, believe it. |
It's funny when you read stuffs like "fear women", "daughters of Jezebel", etc. It's even more unfortunate seeing how guys try hard to envelop rape cases as "mere accusations". The truth is, a good deal of the rape cases we've had in the past eventually came out as the man being guilty. If that statistics is anything to go by, I guess it's safe to say that men have higher tendencies of carrying out rape crimes than women accusing men falsely. So who should be feared more here? I understand and respect the man's position but that's his personal decision and shouldn't be a norm cause it'll have a serious damaging effect if allowed to fester. Women are raped everyday; you do not even get to hear about a good deal of the cases cause they happen in societies where women as seen as "helpers". Iimagine if they all say "fear men, sons of whoever" and refuse to work with men... Let me guess, they'll lose cause it's a man's world, right? That is chauvinism for you. |
Lol.... a lot of things go on on this show. Why do bloggers only broadcast anything that involves the slightest body contact between two people of opposit genders? Now, I see why some people don't like it |
Tolexander:You've sounded smart. ![]() |
Wealthierboy:Don't be too serious nah This is informative and entertaining in the spirit of statesmanship. It's all fun. Praying, are other countries from the devil? ![]() |
