neyobills:
I believe you have ever heard of the word how was the night

How do u mean how was your night it was never yours in the first instance except you are the custodian of the night we all never knew.

It's not just vague but might really be grammatically incorrect however this is just my own humble opinion.
Here:

Do you know your way to to Lagos? (does this mean you're the custodian of the road?)

Do you know your English alphabet? (does this mean you're the custodian of the alphabet?)

How was your day? (does it mean you're the owner of the day?)

How was your weekend? (does it mean the weekend belongs to you?)

"Your" in this context means "as it relates to you".

It is grammatically perfect, bro.

And like I said, being vague or not is subject to region. A French man says "ça va ?" which literally means "is it going?". You might want to ask, is what going exactly? But then, it's their culture and there's nothing wrong with it because "is it going?" is grammatically correct.

Common sense is not common for you. Your English translation above here for Mandarin is particularly wrong also. Would you ever get it right? I doubt.
See how you left the argument to insult me instead. At the end, you still didn't make any counter point.

So what is the translation for "chi fan le?" or (in full "ni chi fan le ma?"wink?

Dude, argue with points next time and do not resort to insults.

For those reading:

Ni = second person singular (you)
Chi = eat
Fan = rice (could also refer to "food"wink
Le = this is a tense indicator and serves to make the "chi" translate as "eaten"
Ma = this is a question indicator and can be ommited if the sentence is obviously a question without it or a popular sentence (e.g. "ni hao?" and "ni hao ma?"wink.

Therefore: ni chi fan le ma? = have you eaten rice (food)?

A popular response response is also "chi fan le" or "wo chi fan le". This one is not a question therefore translates as "eaten rice (food)" or better still "I have eaten rice (food).

And guess, every Chinese student here in Nigeria uses this greeting now out of cultural appropriation.

If you depend on Google to argue Chinese grammar with me, tell me so I can stop wasting my time.

If I am any right I don't think how was your night is grammatically correct because it's a totally vague question in the first instance how was your night and how was your noon mean exactly the same and the answer is my night was my night not yours and vice versa, subtly put why come up with such a vague question when u can use hope u had a restful night which is a much more of a direct question in my opinion.
I believe you know what it means for a statement to be grammatically correct. So tell me, what is wrong with the grammar "how was your night?"

Being vague or not is debatable but that does not make it grammatically wrong except you're telling me it should have been "how is your night?" or "how are your night?" or "how were your night" etc...

Point is, the grammar is correct. It may be vague to you but not vague to the society that uses it.
Education › Re: Stop Asking People 'How Was Your Night', It Is Wrong English by etrange: 9:28pm On Aug 15, 2019
First, "how was your night?" is grammatically correct and therefore cannot be termed "wrong English". Having said this, it's apparent that its use or otherwise is subject to regional differences.

Some greetings are used more frequently in certain parts of the world than others due to cultural differences and provided there's nothing wrong with the grammar, there's nothing like wrong or right here. While an English man would rather ask about the weather, a Nigerian man would prefer to ask if your night went well.

However, you might want to use the form of greeting more popular in your immediate location.

Do you know a Chinese man asks "chi fan le?" as a form of greeting? It simply means "have you eaten rice?" or more literally "eaten rice?". And no, it's not wrong.

What are you saying
We should see someone arrested for just nudity and do not talk?
They should arrest the management of BBN then?
. Trash talk everywhere
Just nudity?

You do not know the Nigerian constitution, stop embarrassing yourself.

"A person who intentionally exposes his or her genital organs, or a substantial part thereof with the intention of causing distress to the other party, or that another party seeing it may be tempted or induced to commit an offence under this Act, commits an offence termed ‘indecent exposure".

What Tekno did is both illegal and indecent. If you don't see anything wrong with it but carry placards against BBN (which isn't illegal by the way), then you've got both ignorance and hypocrisy to deal with.

it's normal thing for a boy of your age to have such sexual urges... I bet your cousin puts on skimpy cloths and you sometimes see her Indecent.
I experienced same... never try raping her because you'll end up disgracing yourself....
I wouldn't advice you to stop Cox u can't
See how you successfully lifted the blame off the boy and dumped it on the girl who's the potential victim here. You don't know the girl but you're already making excuses for the guy's anticipated crime. As if boys are objects with no sense of self control. Sincerely, we cannot fight the rape culture with this chauvinistic mentality.

@OP, it's true you're simply experiencing intense sexual urges due to puberty but it's also on you to understand your body's weaknesses at this point and take control of it. It's all in your head. You know what to do.

99% of the guys in modelling and Mr this and that are gays. Same with guys that are in the business of tying gele, make up, hair do and event hall decoration. Heaven is my witness. Do your research, ask people in their neighbourhood and you will find out the fact. Even this so called young singers and instrumentalist in many of these new generation churches are gays. I'm not saying this to discredit anybody, I have facts.

You may see them hanging around with girls, don't be deceived, their real affection are for their fellow guys. They are either inserting their rod into a fellow guy hole or they are using their hole to collect another guy rod. This is the sad reality. If you have a young male relative or friend who is a model or into make up, hair do, singing in the church choir, a good actor in the church drama group, gele tying, taking a course in baking or cooking etc watch out. Be close to him and guide him aright. When a young guy becomes so conscious of how glowing his skin is, how smooth his face is, always with the mirror etc watch out. I'm talking with hard evidence.
Trash everywhere...

Everyone has to have smelly armpit like you to be called "man".

alBHAGDADI:
If you are talking about a born again Christian, then know that heaven is certain for such a person. But this doesn't mean they won't get punished here on Earth for their crime. The only time they won't have a y punishment is of the destruction of the person goes in line with the Bible e.g stoning an adulterer or Homosexual.

Some folks might be quick to say I am wrong for advocating for stoning of adulterers because they think Jesus abolished the law on such when he said people without sin should cast the first stone. They need to read the passage carefully to understand that Jesus didn't abolish the law. If he did, then it means he's a false prophet. Thats exacrtly what the pharisees wanted to test him for, to see if he would contradict the prophets. Jesus knew their thoughts and that they were testing him, and he also knew they were not fully following the full tenet of that law of stoning adulterer. That's why when he gave one of the requirements for them to meet before the stoning party behind, they all fled because they were found wanting. No where did Jesus abolish the law.
Has anyone today met that requirement?

what did you know about me before making stewpid assumptions?

What many of you asslickers have failed to know is that when your so called celebrities post things online, they expect reactions from people. Boy, the reactions will come(both positive and negative)..but when the 'negatives' come, you don't Tel people to mind their business ...cos when the positives come, you enjoy them.
I don't care about the celebrities. Not sure I've seen this particular girl in more than two movies so it could as well be any other actress or musician. It's the reaction that I'm discussing. I don't know what you mean by positive and negative reaction cause what the celeb might receive as a positive reaction may end up as negative from my POV. So instead of getting personally attached to any individual, I'll posit you stick to the issue at hand which is I why I called you out. Attacking my person instead of my point or stance is simply fallacious. Let's get back to base.

You found something wrong with her sharing her sick bed pic on social network and I ask, why? What is wrong with her sharing her own pic on her own profile which she didn't force anyone to follow? How is everybody sharing their pics online better than herself or any different? Is it only happy moments that are meant to be shared online? Why exactly is it wrong?

You even went ahead to mock her marriage. What has that gotten to do with the pic? So because she married an old man, she has lost the right to be active on Facebook or other sns?

That celebrities expect reactions does not mean the reactions should not in turn expect counter reactions. If you like, leave the topic again and kill the messenger.
