Give everyone the chance to be themselves around you. Discrimination of all kinds could be very deadly. |
The kids are just dirty minded. |
Favorolasupo:Sure of? |
Favorolasupo:Yes |
immortalcrown:The case is already against him. I said you phrased it to exclude the age part so I had to rephrase it to let you know how entangled the charges are. This is how you phrased it: Someone as learned and as famous as Ekweremmadu allegedly took a boy to UK for organ donation without telling the boy the reason for the travelWe wouldn't be talking about age if the above was the only charge against him. That is why I had to rephrase to let you see why age is just as important as consent in this case. Hope it's clear now. |
I just saw an Islamic "ruling on watching films" on the front page this morning. And according to that ruling, it is wrong to watch films cause the contents are lies and they normally play music in the background. It makes sense why they might not be well represented in such an industry. |
immortalcrown:@bolded, I didn't say you so. And I never said an adult cannot be decieved. You just phrased the case against him to exclude age, so I'm going to help you rephrase. Ekweremmadu allegedly took an underage boy to the UK for organ donation without his consent. From the above, you can see it is a multiple charge case. I am saying the age is just as important as the consent. From your own writeup here, it's clear you can only disregard age if you can prove the consent wasn't there and you can only disregard consent if you can prove he is minor. None is more important than the other. So getting the age out of the way is an extremely important milestone. They claimed he was 15. If you know how the law works, you'd understand that's a different charge entirely from that of consent. Each of these charges have legal implications on the outcome of the judgment. So if he's not really 15, you can't toss it aside with "let's focus on the things that matter most". It is one step after the other. To dismantle the opponents argument, a lawyer must address each charge squarely. By revealing the age, that is one part down. The focus can now go to the consent. And as at now, there's nothing that proves he knew or didn't know about the plan. The best we can do is to wait for the investigation to be over instead of running into conclusions out of sentiments or tossing aside evidences when they don't favour our prefered outcome. |
Kollins11:So for him not to be a simp, he should never forgive a partner? Y'all better grow up. |
immortalcrown:The age is not amongst the things that matter the most? Dude, everything matters in this case. In fact, the major things that matter are his age and his consent. And I'm sure you wouldn't have made little of this finding if it had revealed that he was actually 15. By sharing this, more light is shed on the issue of age. With time, we'd know more about his consent. Don't dismiss evidence based on your own preferred outcome. |
fourboys:If your assertions are right, then why should the couple be jailed? |
Kizzygentle:It was just a message to the public and I think they did better than those doing nothing even if you don't find them funny. |
Moferere:Lol... you realise you're the one calling him out for being unprepared? |
I'm not following the gist, but kidney donation/sell is legal if the adult donor consents to it. It doesn't mean the donor will die. It's a choice and a lot of people do it either for love or for money. The morality might be arguable but from a legal standpoint, I believe the man is only guilty if the guy is underage or never really explicitly consented to the process, except I'm missing something. We can all gather to criticise him, but I'm certain that most people would rather purchase than donate if they have the resources, especially if they're people willing to trade. Unfortunately, that's practically how life works; you trade what you have for what you want. In Canada, you're asked if you'd like your organ taken by the government when you die. This way, the government keeps an organ bank and freely gives it to individuals based on certain criteria. Sadly, an African man would rather bury the vital organs than donate them at the point of death and thereby making those alive to share theirs. The female egg market is also booming. Bro, this life is a jungle where only the fittest survive. |
Hmm... He didn't call her his sister. He said she had been like a sister to him. Not like it makes so much difference, so you could have reported this correctly and retained your integrity as a vlogger instead of joining the fruitless bandwagon of false reporting. |
Benki003:But he wouldn't be working for a 100k salary if he was wealthy. With that fact in mind, his question is valid, is the 100k worth it? |
Favorolasupo:Tout* |
Ogamysamo:Yeah... late head of State, General Sani Abacha, decreed French language as the second official language of Nigeria. |
Favorolasupo:I see. ![]() |
wiseone28:I think you meant to say hypocritical. |
Vincyman:He created the thread with the second account. |
driand:Same to you, sir! |
He should not discourage people. No one said PVC would save the country, it's just a step in the right direction. Restructuring will not be done by the gods but by the leaders you elect using your PVC. He can either keep singing restructuring with that mic or join others to get his PVC and vote in someone who he believes has what it takes to restructure Nigeria. PVC is your voice not that microphone. |
driand:I don't get this anti-knowledge attitude in Africa. The picture is just an illustration of what to expect at that time. It is a projection and it is very common in space science. If you don't know something, just ask. Do you pay tithes to Western scientists? Why would they leave their jobs to come and lie to you? |
Lol... Not bad. He's not aligning with the parties but the individuals. After, political parties in Nigeria aren't defined by ideologies but by common interests. |
So they shouldn't debunk an obvious lie because they signed deals? The way some y'all just download RT and start typing based on thier reports is just amazing. Yes, the EU is feeling the impact of the gas supply issues but that's not what this news is about. Russia slashed gas supply to Germany by 60% and blamed it on maintenance repairs for the Nord Stream-1 pipeline, saying needed equipment had been held up in Canada because of Western sanctions. I don't have a problem with Russia fighting back, that's exactly what they're meant to do. But when they fight back, let them be bold enough to say it instead of continously dishing out petty lies that reduce international politics to a child's play. The West boldly and mercilessly sanctioned them. They can do the same. The world is watching and these petty lies make it difficult to believe anything from Moscow. Now the German economist has told Germans that, unlike what Moscow reported, this isn't any technical issue but a political decision, and here is RT news taking the speech out of context as usual. Right from the onset, it has been one lie or the other from Russia. The reason they invaded Ukraine is still a mystery today even to thier supporters. Is it really because of NATO or for peacekeeping as Putin claimed or just to break off some parts of the country as we're seeing today? They're just making a mess of international politics and this has been the case long before now. It's extremely difficult to have agreement with Russia given this kind of history. The West isn't full of angels but they're far more straightforward with their position probably cause they have a reputation to protect. Just take a lot at RT news. They don't even know how to be "pretentiously" biased like other news outlet. Even biased CNN still tries to sound logical and sometimes calls out thier own government, thanks to thier alignment with a certain political ideology against the other. It may not be ideal but it's a dividend of democracy. RT, on the other hand, is just an extreme version of NTA. They exist to praise Putin's government and discredit the "enemies", that's all. When people say they don't listen to CNN but conveniently share news that come from RT, it becomes obvious they're not truly against the media bias but just interested in pushing thier own narrative. Y'all shouldn't bother quoting me, I'm having a long day at work, please. |
Favorolasupo:Great, I guess. Thanks. ![]() |
Favorolasupo:We don't have states in Canada. We have provinces/territories, cities and towns/counties. Quebec is a province just like Ontario. Montreal is a city in Quebec. Quebec is francophone. New Brunswick (another province) is bilingual. Then we have some bilingual counties in the province of Ontario. The capital of Canada, Ottawa (which is a city in Ontario) also has a huge French speaking population. Other provinces are anglophone even though they have francophone communities in them. Fun fact: Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. Some of the provinces are larger than Nigeria. In fact, Quebec is about 67% larger than Nigeria. The country also has 6 different timezones! |
patrickcollins:OK... OK. You're from a shit hole, that's fine. Enjoy. |
Whenever two ladies fight: Nairaland people: They are fighting over a man!!!! |
Favorolasupo:You're most likely going to find it easier translating to a language you feel more comfortable with. In other words, if you're more comfortable with the English language, you'd likely find it easier translating French to English. This is because you get to pick your words from a wider vocabulary range. |
Favorolasupo:Je fais la navette entre deux provinces: l'Ontario et le Quebec. I shuttle between two provinces: Ontario and Quebec. |
pansophist:Dear brother, I asked you a question you conveniently missed. Which country should he go to that will offer him better opportunities that the US? Relocation is a serious matter, so if you have to advise, it should be detailed. People are in the US for economic reasons and no country offers that better today. Even though your predictions are debatable, I am not arguing against it, I am saying the next generation might come and pass before it happens. So there's no justification to tell this man to leave the country if he's really benefitting from the system. You're talking about a grand economic change that takes decade's to happen. Besides, even if the US falls from this first position to 5th in the next 50 years, that will be the position many countries are in today and, therefore, it will still be a viable destination. I was born in Africa. I have worked in the Middle East and Western Europe and I presently stay in North America. Many of these countries are not what they used to be, but I can confidently tell you that none of these places comes close to what the United States has to offer in terms of economic gains, and it will take long before they do. None. I also complain about many things regarding the American system, but I will never tell someone I wish well to leave the US because the country is gone. That will be wicked. |
