Fahdiga:So one person can just wake up and post something in Twitter and that would mean "the school don cast"? People pay for admission in all Nigerian schools, that we know. But then again, this could be a scanmer for all we know. |
This is sad. Rape is extremely ugly. |
Better. They will call you names now, but if something happens to you, then will still ask "why did she remain with him?!" |
Praxis758:You're already leading the unnecessary fight. You guys should be calming down on this platform. If tribalism could help us in any way, we would have been better off by now. |
DSS may not be able to maintain this level of grip. They should let some things slide. |
This isn't consistent at all. What of the passport shared online? What of the letter the senator sent to the embassy? Why on earth didn't the embassy conduct a visa interview? Isn't visa interviews meant for cases like this? Based on what did they grant visa to a 15 year old with no academic qualifications, no job offer, no university admission, no tangible ties to home country, no ties to destination country, etc.? 'He was provided with a medical travel visa saying the purpose of the travel was to provide medical treatment for the defendants' daughter who was undergoing dialysis in relation to a number of health issues. He was given a visa stating the purpose of the travel was to provide medical treatment? Is he a doctor? Please, you guys are tiring. |
Not practical. |
Scientists issue warning - Westerners: *takes precautions* Africans: Don't mind oyibo! They want to decieve us. Disasters befalls Africa - Africans: Ah! We said it! They want to wipe away the black race! Westerners: ![]() |
MMWandali:Like garri nah ![]() |
OP, what do you mean by "when I know they have"? You don't judge people's financial status from your standpoint. A supposedly rich person may not always have some idle cash waiting to be given away. When someone says "I don't have", it doesn't always mean they don't have the cash. It could mean they don't have any to spare. A man building his first house may not have 20k to spare. A man expecting his first baby may not have 5k to spare. There are a lot of less obvious things that would make someone not to have enough cash to spend at the moment. Again, do you think you're the only one asking the person for help? This is Nigeria, anyone that appears to be slightly well off has a handful of "leeches" constantly pestering them for help. Most times, they ration it. So if it's not your turn today, it could be next time. But if you decide never to come back, even better. |
Lol... as if they were going there. |
hkidola00:Lol... You don't seem very intelligent. So you think it's buying and selling I was referring to as cheating? I said market where people cheat. And you're telling me people don't cheat in markets. Your reason being that Allah allows as trade. So because Allah allows trade, there aren't people that cheat there? Why not also tell me that people don't do abortions in the hospital since allows medical care? Why not tell the OP that hotel isn't bad since Allah permits business trips? How does genuine business in a place means they aren't people that do other bad things there? Dude, please. |
He's been managing or he managed, which one? Is he still managing the account today? Half information is dangerous, we need to hear the whole thing. |
hkidola00:Selling fake products at the price of the real ones isn't cheating? Or that doesn't happen at market places? Or ALLAH also permits that one? Which one? |
perfectionist:That was my opinion nah. |
You guys are funny. You like to make everything about you. If someone laughes too much in faraway Australia, you'd definitely find a way to conclude he's laughing at Nigeria. Anyone who has left the shores of this country would know the world does not revolve around Nigeria. It is an annual report on religion freedom, what exactly where you expecting to read? Support for one religion over another? The US declaration of fight against Islamophobia has nothing to do with Nigeria. It is just the country trying to live up to its reputation as the leader of the free world. The same US said the killing of Christians won't be tolerated and you all smiled and couldn't care less about how the other religions would interpret that. Today, they're saying no to Islamophobia and suddenly, they're mocking Nigeria. Is Nigeria made up of Christians alone? Does the US belong to Christians? Y'all should stop this sentimentality and be a bit logical. US this, US that. If you don’t like the US, leave them alone and face your country. |
OP, where is this place? What kind of building? I need to make a mental image of the setting cause I'm struggling to understand how you got so entangled with street kids to the point that they now call you names. Do you share a common space? What kind of activities do you do together? What led to the name calling? The moment you fight any of them, you've lost. This is regardless of the outcome of the fight. When people below your level drag you, the goal isn't to show their superiority. The goal is to bring you down to thier level. So the moment you fight them, it doesn't matter who gets beaten, they've won. I suggest you ignore them. If they're really teens like you said, they'd eventually get bored and leave you alone. It's one of the disadvantages of living in such a place. So let it be a motivation for you to work hard and move out. Sorry. |
Zonefree:Not everyone wants thier health conditions made public. Health status of a non politician is considered "private information". The senator told those he could rely on and they helped him get someone, nothing wrong with that. The publicity of the demand or lack of thereof has little to no bearing on the judgment considering the fact that everything was disclosed to the British government in the visa request form. All these wouldn't have happened of the British embassy had conducted a simple visa interview. |
Since you're on a butchery spree, why not add: g) Kill yourself |
Haha... but a hotel is just a lodge with restaurants and bars, not a shrine. If you were a priest or a pastor on a business trip, would refuse to stay in a hotel because it's an unholy ground or would stay in one despite that knowledge? When you look at that way, the question would be, where is not "unholy"? A hospital where people do abortions and plastic surgeries? A market where people cheat one another? Bro, the world is already unholy enough and the church cannot keep running away. If there's anyone that needs the sermon the most, shouldn't it be those "unholy people" in the hotel? If the hotel is not one of those defaced by prostitution, I'd say there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, the pastor just took the battle to thier doorstep. Imagine hearing the words as you're about to remove your boxers. Lol |
DeltaFire:I was pointing out the limitation of your communication skills and your response here only goes to buttress that. If you had any writing skills, you would have known that describing NINAS in a few words should be a crucial part of the body of a write-up about NINAS. Also, a question like mine should have been an opportunity to sell the point even further. You don't just take people on a blind trip to other websites. And you can't get anything with this aggression and arrogance. You'd only end up making things worse for other Igbos. This thread is all about joining NINAS and not even a skill word was said about what NINAS is? You somehow believe people will blindly click on your links just because you provided them? Maybe the reason why some black men don't read is because some black men can't write. Enjoy your NINA. Sorry for opening your thread and asking questions. |
Golan007:This is not even the issue. Anybody can decide donate an organ. It's legal and people have been doing it for ages either for money or for love. A consenting 25 year old man is certainly not an exception. The two major issues are age and consent. If he's underage or wasn't made aware of the purpose of the trip, then the senator is in a serious problem. Also, the embassy that did not conduct any interview before granting him visa despite receiving a detailed letter regarding the plan should cover thier face in shame. |
What is NINAS? |
The way he's aging, I wonder how old he'd be when this is over. |
Jolene201:That's the northern pole or, as some would call it, the end of the world. Lol |
Ejix4:She's from Togo. |
Jolene201:The main difference between a province and a territory is that, while provinces maintain thier own constitutional powers/autonomy, territories only have delegated powers and, therefore, under the Canadian parliament. The territories were initially totally governed by the federal government, but over the years, they've been establishing thier own government using delegated powers. They're still largely funded by the FG though. Fun fact: The three territories account for 40% of the entire Canadian landmass but just 3% of the population. |
Emma2Seconds:Android, Windows or iPhone? |
If you had these reservations about her, why didn't just turn down the offer? Now, you want to waste that large chunk that she gave up for you. I hate nonsense. You can't even prove she actually took a bite from the chunk she gave to you. Your eyes are only seeing things your mind wants them to see. Anyway, if you have doubts, get rid of it. I'm surprised you had to create a Nairaland thread for that. Get rid of it for your peace of mind, and so that you won't blame the lady if anything goes wrong in your life tomorrow. Just make sure she doesn't see it cause that would be hurtful. Next time, just say "no, thanks". |
NwaNimo1:He said "don't flash it". Most good phones today won't allow you access till you "flash" them, and this would wipe away any video you think he might be hiding. So if he's pleading with them not to do that, he probably honestly needs his contacts. My contacts are backed up. But assuming they weren't, I'd also be devastated to lose my phone. |
ArewaNorth:Maybe that's true, but this has no bearing on my response. I explained the reason they aren't well represented in the industry today could be because of their religious belief (as was shared by them on the front page). Whether the industry started in the North wouldn't change that theory cause Nigerians had no say in what happened in the country before 1960. The films made in the North then (just a couple of them actually) featured more of white people and pushed thier own narratives. The North was chosen cause of the scenery and the landscape. The films didn't even have the linguistic characteristics of today's Kannywood, a predominantly Hausa movie industry. There's a difference between Nigeria and British Nigeria. The British made films anywhere they wanted to with little to no regards to culture and religion and thus the supposed birth of our movie industry in the North. Today, they have the right to promote only what appeals to them. This is not a debate or where the industry started (I couldn't care less). This is a question of why they aren't well represented in the industry today. I didn't manufacture the reason I gave, it was shares by Muslims on a front thread where they clearly stated that watching movies isn't good. So if you need to challenge something, it is that thread, not me. |
