middlebelter: What an argument. In elementary geography there is what is called the pull and push factor for population? The pull factors such as economic attractiveness, peace, infrastructure are not as much in the other Yoruba lands as Lagos, nevertheless you go to nearby Ogun state which is not Federal project as alleged by you and tell me if there are no considerable Igbo population as you claim. Now, imagine if they stop selling land to your people because of such comment as yours, you will be the first to run outside shout marginalisation. Let us put behind us all these unprofessional sentiments and move forward. They need the 'Igbo's ' money.. They can't just stop selling their lands cos they sell expensive to the igbos |

Have you visited Dugbe, Mokola, Ring Road, Challenge and did not see Ibo people selling their fashion wares and motor parts, or at Gates, selling their building materials?
Where are the Yorubas and the Hausas given the same liberty to sell in Enugu and Onitsha? If they try it, overnight all their stores will be looted by robbers supported by the whole indigenes.
Ibos want access to other people's lands while they are denying other tribes access to their own lands.

etiumo: ADVICE FROM A FOREX TRADER PERSPECTIVE: FOLLOW YOUR MIND. In business, you dont put all your eggs into one basket. Every business is risky be it farming, transport, bet9ja, forex or any kind of business. So, MBA is not immune to risk. Invest with amount that if you loss, your life will still continue. However, as long as MBA makes its money from forex trading, it will survive and continue to survive. This is because in forex we make money when the price of currency goes up and when the price comes down. Note that COVID 19 has already killed a lot of businesses. Yet MBA is still standing. To play safe you can invest just 50% of the intended amount on MBA WISDOM |

After hearing some women around me brag about using men's affection to their advantage my mind completely changed.
It's a good thing he has learnt his lesson on time. Good. No one says being nice is out of place. But why kill or stress yourself over a lady or guy that brings little or nothing to the table? He or she has got nothing to lose should the relationship go south. So painful to see such person walk away with ease |

Dantepet3000: First and foremost most girls don't realize that most men spend more than they earn. All in a bid to enhance affection towards them.
I dated her for two years until that faithful day she found my salary voucher on my bed. Tho I do other side hustlE that enabled me pay her bills I've always known that when she discovers the amount I earn in my company, she will be scared of the future between us. I remember the days in shoprite that I was only able to afford bread. Oh my God, I don suffer. Anyway I had plans for us despite my 45k salary of an MSC holder. There is no financial hole I did not help her block. Infact I did what guys who earn more than me couldn't do.
She started misbehaving towards me ever since she saw that pay cheque. What she didn't know was that I did not use my other professional qualification in the company and when she left me.
I decided to forward other qualification to our management. Like play like play my salary rose to 75k after 3months 100k after 6 months 120k, now I am a site manager and I earn 360k. I believe the whole graduates in her family don't earn what I now earn combined. I am not proud or beefing anyone. Am just reminiscing. By the special grace of God I will even go higher...
PS. Now I am spending my money on my mum and family. I thank God for another chance. Bless You knew she was a money monger ,yet you continued. God saved you the day she saw your payment voucher ..if not that your 360k won't have even been enough for upkeep in the house. I dont still understand why you guys kill yourself just to impress someone. Is it inferiority complex or what? It took the lady leaving for the scales in your eyes to fall off. It's well with you.. Bragging about spending or should I say wasting money on someone just to be her 'slave'. |

Lekan239: thanks very much. I'm doing everything in my power and waiting patiently for this lockdown of a thing to be over. My days in school are numbered that I surely know off all I'm just thinking about is getting a petty job which I could engage in after I withdraw. As for my dad, I will follow your advice PLS ABANDON YOUR FATHER FOR NOW IF NOT FOREVER AND USE THE SCARCE RESOURCES YOU HAVE FOR YOUR MUM AND SIBLINGS. I TELL YOU, YOUR DAD LL REMAIN A COST CENTER /SHELL PIPE THAT HE HAS ALWAYS BEING. TRUST ME YOU LL FEEL USED WHEN AND IF THINGS TURN AROUND IN HIS FAVOR. HE CANT AND WONT CHANGE. WAYWARD LIFESTYLE DON ENTER HIM BODY. SO DONT EVEN BOTHER YOURSELF WITH SUCH UNNECESSARY BURDEN.. People like him dont understand or feel any form of remorse for their actions. They believe they are simply doing you favour. And so treat them they way they ought to be treated like 'TRASH' Then only ll they return to their senses if they actually ll and as for you , emotional hurt ll sieze. NO HARD FEELINGS. THAT'S LIFE. Goodluck |

Femsyn: This is a very typical story of many Nigerian homes. Later in the man's old age, when children and wife ignore and treat him like trash, one stranger, in the name of a fiance, who has no idea of their history, will become judgmental and share blames.
Another uncle will encourage other women to endure abuse, just because his own mother barely survived a marriage with an egotistical and insensitive man.
How you treat this man later is completely up to you and your siblings, as we all have different tolerance levels, and no one has any right to question your decision. Good or bad. However, I will suggest not to pay evil with evil, as these people have a way of getting hooked in our conscience, especially after they die.
In cases like this, I wonder if women deny their own families, as soon as they get married.
OP, where are your uncles, aunties and grandparents? Trust me they must have warned her but she refused to listen. |

And have you engaged her why she keeps putting up with your dad? I think you need that answer to intelligently take a step. Maybe her siblings cautioned her earlier. TheGreatIYANU: Just focus on getting your mum into full recovery. Do whatever you must, as far as it is legal and godly.
Dont be ashamed to hustle right now... carry block if you must.
Once she is better you and all your siblings should really round and take her (forcefully if needed) to her peoples place pending when one of you can get a place.
Dont completely abandon your father, cater for him to the best of your ability but ensure your mother is fine.
That should be your sole singular focus right now. Cater for which father? Pls Op shouldn't waste a single dime on him or else he ll SURELY regret it.. THEIR LITTLE RESOURCES SHOULD BE USED WISELY AND NOT ON A WAYWARD MAN THAT LL THROW THAT RESOURCES ON THE NEXT AVAILABLE GIRL RIGHT INFRONT OF THEM. MEN LIKE THAT ARE EVERYWHERE IN PH.. |

24SEVEN: NGpatriot, you are one of those Nigerians who fail to understand realities. If Oil is to become worthless, whatever IGR you feel Lagos has will crumble in your very before.. Do you know the sheer number of other businesses and financial transactions/obligations hinged solely on oil business. If oil fails, they fail.
FYI, Gas industry is the next big thing. Rivers is primely positioned to it's fullest advantages. I've said it severally in this forum that Lagos has nothing on Rivers, except hype. When shit hits the fan, Rivers will stand strong. We got Seaports, NLNG, petrochemical facilities, Airports, Refineries, landmass etc. We can only get better. Our first step to getting there is right leadership.. People/businesses will always follow the money, and the money is in Rivers state.
for example if Nigeria should split now, what will sustain Lagos?? You people should think objectively. Lagos is just an example of living a fake life with someone else's resources. A day of reckoning always awaits. EXACTLY |
