Aurora Jolie is a famous american p.orn star and a technical virgin. Apparently, she only does ana.l s.ex and has never been penetrated vaginally. From Wikipedia: Jolie's popularity has emerged from her claims of having been a vagi.nal virgin, though she does have ana.l group se.x in her personal life and on screen. In one interview she had said in reference to her first act of vagi.nal se.x, "I want to wait until it's not a one-night stand, I don't think I want to do it on camera. I just want to wait until I'm comfortable. Once I do that, then I'll do it on camera."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_Jolie Oh wait, just read the whole quote. It looks like she's not a virgin anymore. I hope she got married first. |
shotuns:Very true. Actually, plenty of women are born without a hymen. Or it could be so thin that there is little or no bleeding when it ruptures. Also the hymen can be easily ruptured during sports or during a fall astride (she's crossing a gutter, the plank slips and she lands on her crotch) or even when riding a bicycle. I short, its absence doesn't prove or disprove anything regarding a girl's virtue. My internet connection is dog slow today or I would have found a link for you. |
Elpieda:Not true. Contrary to popular belief, not all virgins are tight. Every woman is built differently and men come in different sizes so to expect a woman's P to be tight just because she's a virgin is seriously misguided. In any case, there's a much simpler, non-surgical way to simulate virginity (just so we're clear, you do this at your own personal risk): It has to be done on the 3rd or 4th day of menstruation after the bleeding has lightened a bit. Just insert a large block of alum 1 or 2 hours before the big show to dry and tighten up the P. Just before, you excuse yourself to go to the bathroom and remove the alum and sanitary pad. Then you make the appropriate noises and faces when your guy is doing his thing (ooh, iiss paining mmeee!!!). The guy will feel a tight v and see some blood after. Of course, an experienced, sharp guy won't fall for this but most will. |
ugo_2u:Blender 2.5 Beta has a completely new U.I. I haven't tried it yet but it's supposed to be a big improvement. And I can't format my system once a month, its just too much stress. |
Here's whats going to happen: He'll be arrested, released on bail a few hours later, then he'll either get a plea bargain or there'll be a short trial. The worst that will happen if he's convicted is that he'll pay the N500,000 fine out of his pocket change and go home the same day. Big men don't go to prison in Nigeria. |
Has anyone tried using Blender? I'm trying to wean myself off pirated software (I'm born-again now) and I don't have money for a legit 3DS Max license. Besides, I hear Blender has much lower system requirements. |
Djcn:I use Etisalat, and I've noticed a definite improvement from about a week after the main-one launch. Its a little faster and you don't need to refresh as many times to get a page to open (This is using opera mini mind you). It's still not fantastic though. |
Battery-life on Ubuntu My 2 year old Dell Latitude D630 lasts 3.5 to 4 hours on Windows 7 (wifi off, lowest screen brightness, low cpu load). But on Ubuntu Lucid, it barely manages 2 hours b4 going off. Given the current NEPA situation, I find this completely unacceptable and it's now the main reason why I still boot into windows. Ubuntu doesn't seem to have any simple, built-in way to reduce eye-candy and clock speed in order to improve battery life like in Win Vista/7. Are there any good power management tools that I can use to do this? I remember that there used to be something like that in Mandriva but I'm not sure if it was a separate program or built into KDE. |
There used to be some yahoo boys selling laptops inside the Cocoa house compound, beside Koko-dome nite club in Dugbe. They had quality stuff at reasonable prices. You should try asking around there. |
msaalli:They offered female substitutes because in their culture, women had very little value compared to men. Why would you risk your precious son being r@ped to death when you can offer your daughter instead? In fact, it wasn't unusual to offer an honoured guest one of your daughters to "warm his bed" while he was staying at your house. Back then, hospitality was a serious business and women were considered expendable. If you don't believe me, try settling down and reading Deuteronomy whenever you're free. Some of the laws in it are so obnoxiously sexist you'll be shocked. vinmol:Also wrong. Homosexuality is extremely common in the animal kingdom. If it was from the devil, why are there so many gay animals? Or did they all line up to eat the forbidden fruit after Adam and Eve? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals The funny thing about Christianity (and other religions) is that they ascribe supernatural causes to everything they can't explain. I don't know how anyone can believe that homosexuals willingly choose to be the way they are. As if you can choose to stop staring at bosoms and buttocks whenever a fine girl walks by. The bible says homosexuality is a sin, but it also says you shouldn't lust after women and that has never stopped me or many of our pastors (except the secretly gay ones of course) before. I like women and I can't help myself. If I ever woke up in a world were being a straight man was seen as weird, I would probably sneak around just like this priest was doing. If people just accepted him as he was, he wouldn't have had to lie. One day, probably soon, one scientist somewhere is going to discover one abnormal gene or missing neurotransmitter or something that explains why these people (and animals) are the way they are. When that happens all the hate-spewing religious fundamentalists are going to look very silly. |
vinmol:Actually, if you settle down and read the whole story, you'll realize that you're wrong. In Genesis 18, when Abraham met the three strangers as they were passing by, he immediately had his wife make them cakes of fine meal, and he killed a "fine and good calf" for them and gave them butter and milk. In other words he treated them very kindly. The same happened when they met Lot. But when the men of Sodom met them, they immediately formed a mob. And I doubt they would have stopped at r@pe. They would most likely have robbed them first and maybe even killed them. Genesis 18, 20-21: And the Lord said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will knowYou see, the bible never specified that homosexuality was the sin that led to their destruction. All it says is that there was an outcry against them. But the contrast between Abraham's and Lot's treatment of their guests and that of the men of Sodom (as well as the way the bible took its time to emphasize it compared to the fleeting mention of homosexuality) says a lot. Unfortunately most preachers like talking but hardly ever settle down to read what they are preaching about properly. And people find it so hard to let go of their preconceived ideas that they end up missing the point of the story completely. |
wtf is gang-despoil? Sorry o, I meant gang-r@pe. This nairaland sef! |
Evil Brain:Found it. Judges chapter 19 and 20. Actually, you should start from ch 19 verse 10 and read down. Very interesting stuff. |
eloii:Actually, the reason God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't the homosexuality as is commonly believed. Homosexuality was pretty commonplace in the ancient world just as it is now and was not considered such a big deal. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of the awful way they treated their guests. Instead of offering them food and board, they tried to gang rape them. Lot (and his family) was the only one showed the proper hospitality (even offering the men of Sodom both of his daughters to "do what you will with" in place of his guests). Unfortunately, the two guests in question just happened to be angels of the most high god. And God doesn't take kindly to being threatened with gang-rape, hence the rain of fire. There's a similar story in Judges (I can't remember the chapter, sorry) involving the men of Benjamin trying to rape another guest. Instead, the guy gave them his slave girl whom they proceeded to rape to death. The following day, the guy cut her body into 12 pieces and sent them to the other 12 tribes to let them know what happened. I can't remember the details but it lead to a big civil war between Benjamin and the other tribes. Tens of thousands died and the Benjamite cities got burned down. |
tripple_x:Thanks. Do you know any decent download managers? I'm downloading Fatrat now but I'm hoping there's something better. And whats the best bittorrent client in your opinion? 4llerbuntu:Thanks a lot. That's very reassuring. |
Afternoon people. I've been running various versions of Ubuntu/Linux Mint on my desktop for about 3 years now, but i only just installed Ubuntu Lucid on my laptop (my main computer) last week. The thing is, I'm dual booting with windows 7 (for gaming and photoshop) with most of my data on the NTFS partition. Now I've read that Linux is not very good at writing to NTFS and that using it could seriously @#$% up your data. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have a lot of stuff that I really cant afford to lose and copying everything over is too stressful and a waste of space. Also, what are the essential programs I need to download? I already got banshee, skype, thunderbird and google chrome. What else do you recommend? |
kabukabu:Guy, what are you saying? Gun ownership deters crime? Then the US must have really low crime statistics, wait, that's strange, they have the highest rate of gun crime of any developed country. Worldwide they're third after Columbia (aka cocaine country) and Guatemala. South Africa allows citizens to carry guns an that country is now a crime riddled hellhole. They are now number 2 worldwide for assault and murder. One of my friends over there once told me at by 6pm he runs inside his house and hides under the bed. Its that bad. People can't carry guns legally in the UK and thats why even gang wars mostly only lead to non-fatal stabbings. And criminals avoid using guns because they automatically attract police and media attention. Because of this most police don't need to carry guns therefore far fewer people get killed by criminals and by the police. If guns deter crime, why is it that the countries where everyone has one have so much, crime? You need to stop watching Fox News and use your brain friend. Have a nice evening. |
The sweetest thing about this news is that Main-one is an open access supplier, meaning anyone and everyone with the money can get bandwidth to use for whatever they want. This will ensure the fairest market price and prevent potential shylocks like Glo from jacking it up or creating an artificial scarcity. What happened to Glo by the way? Their Glo-one cable landed over eight months ago and still we haven't heard anything. They must feel really $tup!d to be beaten to market when they had such a huge lead. |
From The BBC'nuff said http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8777118.stm |
This is terrible news. Pure political grandstanding by GLJ and it shows that he has neither maturity nor common sense. The government interfering in football matters will achieve nothing other than a long and punishing FIFA ban. If The president really wanted to clean up the NFF he could have quietly intimidated/blackmailed Sani Lulu and co into stepping down and organizing fair elections. He could have launched a criminal investigation into the NFF or threatened to withdraw funding. There are so many ways of effecting change without drawing FIFA's attention. Now, because of this single foolish act Nigerian football will be set back years. As if things weren't bad enough. And at the end of everything, the NFF will still be as corrupt and useless as ever. Sometimes I wonder if the people in Abuja have a single brain cell between them. |
beknown:Sim cards are not registered in America or the UK. A handful of first world countries including France, Germany and Australia do it but its certainly not widespread. Notably, non of the countries with this type of scheme has reported any significant impact on crime. nigerfine:Here's a 2006 study on the subject (it's a PDF). Feel free to educate yourself. http://www.sfu.ca/cprost/prepaid/docs/Gow-PrivacyRightsAndPrepaidCommunicationServices.pdf violent:Listen to yourself. You are arguing that a bunch of thieves are interested in fighting crime. Sure, maybe the government isn't interested in who the evil brain is calling, but I'm sure they won't mind knowing who Atiku and Buhari and Ribadu and Tinubu and Femi Falana are talking to. Whats to stop them from monitoring their political rivals' call histories or even intercepting calls? Do you think that people who steal billions will think twice before tapping someone's phone? If Gani was still alive, you think his phone wouldn't be tapped? If you give them this power, they will abuse it. You need too stop being so naive. |
My god! Am I the only person that sees what a stupid idea this is? So the government is going to register sim cards to prevent crime? But whats to stop a thief from stealing someone else's phone and using it to do whatever? And what kind of stupid criminal uses his personal phone to commit crime? That aside sef, whats to stop me from telling MTN that my name is Nelson Mandela or Oliver DeCoque or something? How are they going to prove that I'm not Nelson Mandela? Hardly anybody has a passport in this country, and the equally stupid national ID project only targeted those over 18 years (less than 40% of the population according to UN figures) and many of those either were never registered, never got their cards or got them and have since lost them. What percentage of the people in your village (or even in Lagos sef) have any sort of valid documentation, birth certificate or whatever to prove who they are? And whats to stop these criminals that are so dangerous that you have to inconvenience tens of millions of law abiding citizens from simply forging something Salisu Buhari style? And how is my grandmother going to travel from the village to the nearest Glo service centre God knows how many kilometers away to register her phone? How many hours/days/weeks is she going to queue for. It took me over 6 hours just to reclaim my line when my phone was stolen a few years ago because of the crazy queue at the Glo office in Challenge, Ibadan. What's going to happen when the whole country is rushing to beat the deadline? And what about the privacy implications? Don't I have the right to make a phone call without our useless, corrupt government knowing about it? What if you're cheating on your girlfriend (not a crime) or plotting to escape from an abusive husband (also not a crime). Is it not your right to keep your secrets secret as long as you're not breaking the law? This kind of rubbish is exactly the reason why Nigeria is so backward. Because we are too complacent to fight for our rights and freedoms and we're too stupid to notice when the people upstairs are sh!tting on us. Nonsense!!! |
People, come on!!! I don't understand how anybody who saw the last two matches can fail to see the clear and definite improvement in our performance. The eagles of Angola '10 played patternless, confused football but these guys finally playing with purpose. The defense is better organised, the passing and movement are far better and there's a more sensible approach to set pieces. And even though I don't always agree with Lagerback's selections, its very clear what his game-plan is. For Gods sake, even fat Yak is playing better. We haven't gotten the results we hoped for but there's no doubt that a competent makes a huge difference. We keep on having the same stupid argument about local vs foreign coach and ignoring the obvious truth that we don't have any good local coaches. Siasia is the only decent coach we have and even he is untried at the highest level. Anybody who thinks Amodu (or Chukwu or Onigbinde) is a good coach clearly knows nothing about football. I wish Jose Mourinho or Arsene Wenger were Nigerians and if they were, I'd say sack Lagerback and hire them but they aren't. The natonal team is no place for learners. We need to face reality. |
Suarez jobbed the keeper and he fell for it. But there was contact and the keeper didn't touch the ball. Foul in the box, last man, and denying a goal scoring opportunity. Definitely a penalty. Referee had no choice. The FIFA people scrutinize every decision after each match and I'm sure the guy doesn't want their wahala. I hope SA fans don't kill the poor guy sha. |
seriously overpriced Plus you need professional counselling before and after the test no matter the result, so you shouldn't do by yourself. |
zap2:Guy, Don't be retarded. There are many cheap and easy ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy but drinking salt water is not one of them. You can try using condoms (by far the best way esp. if you're not married), oral contraceptive pills, depo-provera injections, the diaphragm, cervical caps and when all else fails emergency contraceptive pills (postinor). You can get most of these from your local government health centre. If you use salt and water, you're just deceiving yourself. if u already av salt in your body, y do people claim andrew liver salt works?Seriously? Andrews Liver salt contains Magnesium Sulphate which is not the same as Sodium Chloride, your common table salt. It has totally different properties and does totally different things in the body. And it can't prevent prevent pregnancy either. You might want to refer to your secondary school chemistry notes. |
oge4real:Its part of his gimmick. Plus it keeps him in the public eye. Big TV preachers need constant attention or they die. |
kaypound:Seriously man, don't be silly. So you can now tell just by looking at the car whether or not anyone could have survived? Maybe you should get a job with Lagos State ambulance service so you can warn them before they waste their time on hopeless cases. FYI the following are some of the major factors that determine an accident's survivability: 1. Was the victim wearing a seatbelt? Kanye was, Dagrin apparently wasn't. 2. Did the airbag deploy? 3. What kind of injuries did he sustain? Dagrin had severe head injury while Kanye escaped with only a compound fracture of the mandible, a few missing teeth and some bruises, hardly life-threatening! 4. What kind of first aid did he receive at the scene? Within minutes, Kanye was being attended to by trained EMTs and was in a world class hospital less than an hour afterwards while for God knows how long, Dagrin was at the mercy of "good samaritans" who might have done more damage than the accident itself. I don't think he even got to LUTH until 1 or 2 days after the crash (please correct me if I'm wrong) 5. Economic factors: At the time of the accident, Kanye was sitting on a huge pile of money (his Roc-a-Fella signing bonus) and probably had catastrophic health insurance in country where there is a proper mechanism for recovering debts. Dagrin was in Nigeria, His people probably had serious cash-flow problems during the critical first few hours to days when the money would have made a real difference. Healthcare is very, very expensive and Nigerian hospitals are strictly pay as you go (they have to be because Nigerians never pay their debts). Kanye would have gotten the very best care no questions asked while Dagrin's treatment would have been stop and start. I could go on and on and on. The two situations are not even close to comparable. Oh and by the way, if you think that Ben Carson, the neurosurgeon, (that means that he opens people's heads and cuts up their brains) doesn't kill people occasionally, then you really don't know anything. Writing a few sugar-coated books doesn't make you a good doctor except in the eyes of the gullible public. Good doctors don't call attention to themselves like that (ask Dr. Abalaka). |
With that said Doc, don't you think it is the right of the relative of a patient to know what exactly is happening to their beloved one and what they are doing to correct or treat the problemOf course, relatives have the right to know whats happening but in reality, doctors are stressed, tired, over-worked, under-paid and frustrated. Most of the time they just can't be bothered to talk to relatives when they could be resting, sleeping or saving another person's life. Imagine if you had been working non-stop for 48 hours and just when things are getting quiet, someone starts pulling your shirt that they want to talk. You'd better ask me very nicely or its not going to happen. Its a very difficult job. Doctors and Nurses play with people's lives and i personally will take any Doctor's life God help him or her if this were to happen to my loved one.Another problem is that people feel that its o.k. to transfer their frustration to anybody in a white coat. As if you'd still attend to a customer that comes into your office and threatens to kill you. You think your doctor doesn't have a family at home? Who wan die? Yes your wife may be in labour, but tomorrow she will have delivered and you'll be smiling while the poor doctor will be busy dealing with another crisis. This is the reason why people think doctors and nurses are heartless. If you had to watch people cry and panic and bleed and die all day, every day, you'd either find a way to harden your heart or run completely mad. A doctor that can't stay calm under pressure is a dangerous doctor. Like I said, Its a very difficult job. The problem is that many people are selfish and won't spare a thought for those who are trying to help under difficult conditions. Its easy to assign blame and to demonise health workers. Don't worry sha, we're used to it and we do our best anyway. |
We are looking from different angles. . .You're right of course, but the problem is there are no websites of consequence hosted in Nigeria right now. Therefore virtually all our traffic has to go through the bottleneck at sat-3. Main One means a much wider neck= higher speeds. The kind of speed most Nigerians are dreaming of is well within the capabilities of EVDO or even gprs (even 50kbs is considered fast here) but I've never been able to max either of these out. So the problem for now is not the last mile though that will change when all the new cables come on line. |
