PoliticsWhat I Think About Saraki Trial & Vote Of Confidence By Senators by exlink10(op):
Nigerian senators Today, being Tuesday passed a vote of confidence on the senate president, Bukola Saraki, seeking to shore up support for the embattled leader who is facing corruption charges. Mr. Saraki was arraigned last week before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on a 13-count charge of alleged corruption and false declaration of assets which he denied wrongdoing and said the trial was politically motivated.

The senate met Today for the first time since Mr. Saraki appeared before the tribunal, and 83 senators co-sponsored a motion to give him a “vote of confidence”.

I know for some people, this is a bad omen and for some, this is a very good thing because all the saga going on with Saraki have been termed as a witch hunt by the president and many are eager to prove that. I cannot say that Bukola Saraki is innocent of the crimes which he is been tried for but what i can say is that he is not the person whom the APC wanted to be the senate president and therefore they will do anything within their powers to make sure he is thrown out of that seat.

I also want to add that whatsoever I say here, i stand corrected because this is my own view in the whole saga. I do not personally think that Gen. Buhari will change from his attitude and that is why I am inclined to believe that he has a hand in what is happening to Saraki. If you are a Nigerian and you try to deny this fact, please answer this:

1. How many times did Buhari meet with the senate president officially?
2. Why was he not been tried since 2005 or 2007 that he left as governor?
3. I taught Buhari said he is not going beyond GEJ time, what happened?

I am not disproving the fact that he (Saraki) might be guilty of the offense but common, how many offenses would Obasanjo and Tinubu be guilty of? Even Fashola? And you said is not a witch hunt? I bet you, if Saraki did not emerge as the President of the senate, this case would not have seen the light of the day.

WebmastersFacebook Down AGAIN: This Is The Third Time In A Month Leaving Users In Panic by exlink10(op): 6:36am On Sep 29, 2015
Facebook went down again today for the third time this month. The site crashed for between 35-40 minutes at 3pm ET (7PM GMT) – although some users are reporting that it’s now back online.
The social network, which has 1.23 billion monthly users, displayed an error message to users who were trying to log on.

A spokesperson for Facebook told DailyMail.com: ‘We’re currently restoring Facebook services that people had trouble accessing earlier today due to a configuration issue. ‘We’re working to bring things back to normal for everyone. We apologize to those who have been inconvenienced.’

It follows a similar crash on Thursday, which lasted 12 minutes causing the world to go into a collective meltdown. During the difficult few minutes, millions of people all over the world were unable to log on – and many took to Twitter to express their distress. One comedy account wrote: ‘FB users are roaming the streets in tears, shoving pictures of themselves in other people’s faces yelling ‘DO YOU LIKE THIS?!’

Facebook’s error page had an automated message which said the site was ‘working on it’ and would ‘get it fixed as soon as we can’. Another outage took place on September 17 and last around five minutes. The hashtag #facebookdown has started trending again on Twitter, which remained operational. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/facebook-goes-down-again-this-is-third.html#sthash.a8tJDSYU.dpuf

PoliticsVice President Osinbajo Blasts Religious Leaders Over Comments About Boko Haram by exlink10(op): 6:31am On Sep 28, 2015
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo in an event, chided religious leaders over their comments about Boko-Haram. He said this, in response to a comment made by Catholic Bishop of Kafachan, Kaduna State, Rev. Joseph Bagobiri.

Bagobiri blamed prominent Northern leaders like General Ibrahim Babangida for the spread of Boko-Haram. He said Babangida and other Muslim clerics refused to condemn the group's actions, until massive damage had been done.

In his response, Osinbajo said “Muslim and Christian leaders must know something; It is our duty not to pursue wrong narratives. For Christians, it is our duty to ensure that we do not create further divisions by our words. Jesus Christ did not come to establish religion. Men did that."

Adding that “We must recognise that the first order for the church is unity. That also applies for our nation. Our nation is divided and it has been so for long. It is divided along religious and tribal line. The moment we are divided, nothing works. We must speak about the unity of our country as we speak about the unity of the church."

“The North East is where I have traveled to. I have seen the dead, wounded and the sick. These victims are in their hundreds and they were Muslims and Christians. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/vice-president-osinbajo-blasts.html#sthash.nFCLGEL9.dpuf

CrimeICPC Saga: N120m Bribe Scandal Hits Agency by exlink10(op):
The matter came to light, when the aggrieved petitioner sent another petition to the Presidency, accusing the anti-graft agency of bias.

Reports say three staff of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), are being investigated for allegedly collecting N120m bribe from an accused person.

Daily Sun reports that the three staff were assigned to investigate a petition sent in by a staff of the Federal Ministry of Works, who alleged that some personnel in the ministry stole N1billion from the ministry’s capital vote.

Instead of investigating the case, the ICPC staff allegedly cut a deal with the accused person, and collected the sum of N120m, which they shared among themselves. The matter came to light, when the aggrieved petitioner sent another petition to the Presidency, accusing the anti-graft agency of bias.

CrimeNigerian Man Who Returned From Brazil For Wedding Arrested With Cocaine In Lagos by exlink10(op): 7:28am On Sep 25, 2015
The suspect, 39-year-old Okpue Ernest Ifeanyi came to Nigeria from Brazil for his traditional wedding, but was arrested by operatives of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for being possession of suspected wraps of cocaine.

Ifeanyi confessed that he was paid N400,000 to take 59 wraps of cocaine to Nigeria. He said that he decided to take the deal because he wanted to add more money to his already planned wedding.
The groom-to-be said that he suspected someone cast a spell on him, for he could not understand why he jeopardised his planned traditional wedding and dashed his betrothal’s happiness because of N400,000.

Ifeanyi, who has lived in Brazil for a year, said: “I work in a restaurant in Brazil.
I sincerely want to get married and have a family. In the process of trying to make more money, I was given 59 wraps of cocaine to take to Nigeria for N400,000. Now I realised I have made a big mistake. I pray my woman will find a place in her heart to forgive me. I feel I’m under a spell.” Arrested along with Ifeanyi are Okonkwo Daniel Anagor, 26, Lawal Monsuru Ademola, 33, Ogbonna Donatus Chigozie and Okoro Chibueze Augustine.

The Head, Media and Publicity of NDLEA, Mitchel Ofoyeju, said the suspects were caught at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, for unlawful possession of 10.255kgs of narcotics hidden in garri (West African food made from cassava) and luggage. He explained that Ifeanyi and Augustine were coming from Brazil with cocaine, while three others were going to South Africa, Dubai and Pakistan when they were arrested.

The NDLEA Commander at the Lagos airport, Mr Ahmadu Garba, said: “Anagor was caught with 2.810kgs of Tramadol on his way to Dubai. Ademola was arrested with 3.310kgs of methamphetamine on his way to South Africa, while Chigozie was caught attempting to smuggle 610 grams of cocaine to Pakistan. Two other suspects, Augustine and Ifeanyi were caught with 2.575kgs and 950 grams of cocaine from Brazil.”

PoliticsMayday Mayday Mayday Facebook Crashes Across All Platforms by exlink10(op): 9:19pm On Sep 24, 2015
Facebook, the world's second most popular site and social media giant, is unusable to everyone across the world and on every platform.

The social network, which prides itself on never going down, seems to be broken without explanation.

Users of the application would be experiencing difficulties on every platform, ranging from desktop, mobile, Android and iOS versions.

Facebook's error page said that the site was "working on it" and would "get it fixed as soon as we can", though that message appears to be automated.

"Facebook is down mayday mayday" — Andrea Garcia-Vargas (@AGVwrites)

For some users, the site seemed not to be appearing at all, for others, Facebook's now slightly old-style error page was brought up when trying to access the site.

Facebook's own "Platform Status" page, which is used to communicate when the site is broken, why and when it will be fixed, also seemed to have been hit by the problem and was inaccessible.

The network's last major outage was earlier in January, during a problem that was claimed by hacking groups but appeared actually to be due to an error by Facebook.

The social media network that only recently revealed that it would be adding a 'dislike' button to its collection, now seems to have bigger problems as their error page looks stale.

Stay with us for further developments on this issue. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/mayday-mayday-mayday-facebook-crashes.html#sthash.sCwdVX4k.dpuf

Nairaland GeneralDaily Actions That Will Improve Or Boost Your Self-confidence by exlink10(op): 9:00pm On Sep 24, 2015
Self-confidence comes from inside out and takes a lot of effort to maintain. Self-confidence is one thing everyone should have all the times. It's not a thing of appearance but a thing of the mind. Self-confidence comes from inside out and takes a lot of effort to maintain. To keep your self-confidence in check, daily practice is required to feel more in control. And as they say, practice makes perfect.

According to Entrepreneur, here are 6 ways to boost your self-confidence daily:

1. Be assertive not aggressive: People listen more when you sound confident rather than fighting to drive your point home. Watch your favorite speaker deliver a speech and you'll know what it takes to be assertive.

2. Dress smartly: You feel better when you look good. Your choice of clothes and accessories should suit your work setting. Looking smart also does a lot of good in boosting self-confidence.

3. Develop a positive energy: A positive mindset can do a lot of good for your self-confidence. Your positive energy rubs off on others which in turn makes them accept and listen to all you have to say.

4. Confident body language: A person's body language can show two things, a lot of self-confidence or a lack of one. You'll only be treated the way you present yourself to others. A self-assured body language makes you not only in control but people will have much more confidence in you as well.

5. Always be prepared: They say luck is when preparation meets opportunity. You prevent a lot of things from going wrong when you are well prepared for eventualities.

6. Don't be inactive: Being active gives you a lot of courage than you'll normally feel.

You can add yours. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/daily-actions-that-will-improve-or.html#sthash.yulD5ACs.dpuf

RomanceSex Robots: This Robort Can Give Almost The Same Sexual Pleasure Like Human by exlink10(op): 8:38am On Sep 18, 2015
A leading robot ethicist has warned that ‘sexbots’ could seriously damage human relationships. Experts hope to use artificial intelligence to create lifelike machines that can talk and have sex like a human. However, Dr Kathleen Richardson told the BBC the technology is ‘unnecessary and undesirable’.

‘Sex robots seem to be a growing focus in the robotics industry and the models that they draw on – how they will look, what roles they would play – are very disturbing indeed,’ she told the BBC. She believes that they reinforce traditional stereotypes of women and the view that a relationship need be nothing more than physical.

‘We think that the creation of such robots will contribute to detrimental relationships between men and women, adults and children, men and men and women and women,’ she said.

Dr Richardson, a robot ethicist at De Montfort University in Leicester, wants to raise awareness of the issue and persuade those developing sex robots to rethink how their technology is used. Previously experts have warned that human relationships with robots are set to become commonplace.

A sex scene between a man and a robot in Channel 4 thriller Humans may have shocked audiences, but sex between humans and machines may soon become the norm.

As humans spend more time in virtual realities – including online gaming and social media – intimate relationships with androids might even improve our mental health, according to academic Dr Helen Driscoll, a sex psychologist.

And our physical relationships will come to be seen as primitive in the near future as humanity embraces machines as partners. Sex mannequins that you can order online already exist, and rapid advances in technology will enable them to ‘come to life’, according to Dr Driscoll in a blog post for the Huffington Post.

Robophilia – the word for a sexual attraction to robots – seems like an alien concept to us now, but could become the norm as our attitudes catch up to the technology.

‘As virtual reality becomes more realistic and immersive and is able to mimic and even improve on the experience of sex with a human partner, it is conceivable that some will choose this in preference to sex with a less than perfect human being,’ said Dr Driscoll.

3 Nigerian youths have been charged with the murder of 17-year-old, Marcel Addai. The youths have been identified as Sodiq Adebayo, 22, Akeem Gbadamosi, 21 and Eugene Ocran, 19. Marcel was stabbed in the chest on September 4 after being chased through St John's Estate in Pitfield Street, Hoxton, London on September 4.

The 17-yr-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 40-year-old woman, who did not want to be named, said she saw the victim being chased before falling to the ground as she watched from her nearby flat.

"There was a big chase," she said. "They ran through the estate, some on bikes, some on foot. By the end of it when he died there were about 15 people around him. I just heard the screams, the cries - a primal scream of death. I could really hear it. I don't know if it was one of his friends who realized that he was dead but it was the most echoing, crying noise"

CrimeAbia State Polytechic Graduate Commits Suicide In Aba After Sunday Catholic Mass by exlink10(op): 5:29am On Sep 16, 2015
A young man in his late twenty living at Umuobe village, Ovom 1 and a graduate of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his family house.

According to the reports, the man whose name was yet to be ascertained allegedly killed himself on Sunday after attending a church service in one of the Catholic Church in the area.

The young man who was said to be an orphan, The Nation was told, would be among the next set of graduates that would be shortlisted for the compulsory one National Youth Service Scheme.

Until his death, many who knew him said that he was doing tiling job and was feeding well as he has customers and was making a lot of income from the business. They however said that they were yet to point out the reason why he should end his life through such a deadly mission on that fateful Sunday.

Though the family members were yet to be reached, a source in the area who confirmed the incident said; “he returned from church on Sunday after attending one of the church services and nobody suspected that such a thing was going to happen. It was around 5pm that the bad news broke.

“The mother and the dad we learnt are all dead. I think he is the breadwinner of the family. It is very unfortunate. We learnt that he will be among the people that will be going for NYSC soon because he schooled in Abia poly. We are yet to understand how the incident happened. The boy has a handwork which was fetching him money, so I don’t think that it was hunger or out of frustration that led him into such action. I learnt his girl friend and a few other persons were around, though I learnt that the girl friend was said to be in the kitchen when the incident happened.

“According to the people of the area, the incident is a sacrilege and that they have to perform some rituals before his body could be touched and buried. So, it was on Monday that they (villagers) after performing the rituals took away his corpse from the room where it was lying,” the source stated.

The source said that fiancé to the deceased was later invited to the Azuka Police station in whose jurisdiction the incident happened. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/abia-state-polytechic-graduate-commits.html#sthash.RTcVAEOK.dpuf

PoliticsLaw School Saga: Students Make Case For Open University Law Graduates by exlink10(op): 9:39am On Sep 15, 2015
The Abuja chapter of the Law Students Association of Nigeria has called on the Council of Legal Education to consider Law graduates of the National Open University of Nigeria for admission into the Bar Part II of the Nigerian Law School.

LAWSAN President, Mr. Moses Danladi Dairo, made the appeal during the Law Week of the association held in Abuja. Dairo also appealed to stakeholders, including the National Assembly, Body of Benchers, the Nigerian Bar Association as well as President Muhammadu Buhari, to intervene in the administrative conflict between CLE and NOUN/National Universities Commission over the non-recognition of the institution’s law graduates.

For more news on politics and entertainment visit http://www.exlinklodge.com

According to Punch News, he gave the authorities of the CLE the assurance that Law graduates of NOUN would not constitute a preponderance of students of the Nigerian Law School who would fail their Bar Part II Final Examination, if given the opportunity.

Dairo pointed out that the open university educational system had been all over the world, including the United Kingdom, India, China and South Africa. He noted that Nigeria could not shut itself out and refuse to be dynamic, especially in this era of change.

He said, “Nigeria should not remain an island in this emerging global best practices, especially given the resolve that with the Vision 2020 policy drive, the country is expected to eliminate all forms of illiteracy and provide education for all by 2020. Law programme, certainly, should not be the prerogative of a few privileged people.” - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/law-school-saga-students-make-case-for.html#sthash.n2SqbZyf.dpuf

CareerLacasera Company Workers Protest Over The Sacking Of 700 Workers by exlink10(op): 6:03am On Sep 15, 2015
Workers at Lacasera Company Plc staged a protest on Monday in Lagos, moments after about 700 workers received their sack letters, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. The company, however, described the protest as an invasion of its premises by “hoodlums.’’

NAN reported that the crisis began after the workers arrived at the company premises in Amuwo Odofin Industrial Estate, Mile 2, Lagos, and found the gate locked against them and a notice of disengagement pasted at the entrance.

The notice dated September 14 and addressed to all members of staff, stated that “as a result of the unwarranted invasion of our business premises on September 11, we cannot guarantee the well-being of our employees from hired hoodlums and their collaborators.

“As a result of this unprovoked act of vandalism, we are unable to continue operations under this circumstance. “Unfortunately we regret to inform all our members of staff of their immediate disengagement.” But the workers, under the aegis of the National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees, condemned the act, noting that some of them had worked for between five and 15 years.

Some of their placards read, “No more slavery in this country by foreigners (India); “We are against xenophobia from India” and “We can never be slaves in our fatherland.”

The Head of Education Department in NUFBTE, Mr. Mike Olarenwaju, who spoke for the workers, said that for 12 years the company had denied workers the right to unionise. Olarenwaju said that when an in-house union was about to be inaugurated, the management of the company sacked the chairman, which made the NUFBTE officials to visit the company on September 11 to address the workers.

“We were surprised today (Monday) that the company locked the gate and sacked the workers. “Meanwhile, the case between the workers and the company over unionisation is currently at the National Industrial Court.’’ He said that until the workers were re-absorbed, the union would continue to picket the company.

The state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr. Idowu Adelakun, told NAN that the act of calling labour officials hoodlums was wrong and vowed that labour would not allow the company to function until the matter was resolved. Lacasera is a beverage company owned by Indians which started operations in Nigeria in year 2000 -

Owoseni said the police would ensure the release of the director’s wife, as well as apprehend the robbery gang.

PUNCH Metro gathered that at about 2am, the robbers stormed Baale Street, Ago Palace Way, in the Okota area, breaking into houses and dispossessing residents of their valuables.

It was learnt that the robbers also entered the deputy director’s apartment and robbed the family before abducting Steve’s 40-year-old wife, a mother of four. Our correspondent gathered that the robbers thereafter escaped on a speedboat through a canal in the area.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro, Steve, who noted that the robbers scaled the fence into his compound, enjoined the police to ensure the release of his wife. He said, “It was a robbery incident. They also got to other houses. The robbers came into my neighbour’s house through a ladder abandoned by a house painter. Then, they scaled the fence into my house.

“Let the police help to get my wife released.”

Our correspondent gathered that a suspected member of the kidnapping gang had got across to the family, demanding N100m. A resident in the area, who gave his name simply as Felix, said, “The robbers stormed three houses in the area, shot for several minutes and dispossessed the residents of valuables.

“The robbers then entered the director’s apartment. They stole valuables from the house. But when they were not satisfied, they took away the woman right in the presence of the family members.

“The robbers later escaped at about 3am through the canal at the Amuwo Odofin area.”

The Commissioner of Police said the police were intensifying efforts not only to rescue Toyin, but also to apprehend the suspected robbers. He said, “The area is still an active crime scene. The police have been there and realised that the robbers gained entrance through an abandoned ladder.

“Apart from my friend’s (Steve) apartment, two to three other apartments were robbed. It was not a stand-alone incident. The robbers then escaped through a boat. There is an element of error by neighbours painting their houses, one of who left the ladder used by the painter hanging there.

“The police had visited the crime scene, and I assure you that we will deploy all human and material resources to liberate the victim. We will also get the hoodlums.” - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/the-suns-deputy-mds-wife-abductors.html#sthash.rXLeeIv4.dpuf

PoliticsIncumbent Kogi State Governor Idris Wada Wins PDP Primary Election by exlink10(op): 4:44am On Sep 15, 2015
Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, has won the People's Democratic Party's primaries in the state ahead of the gubernatorial election on November 21.

Wada is rerunning for the seat of the governor in the state.

The results of the primaries, which was held at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, shows that Wada won in 20 of the 21 local government areas of the state. He only lost in Yagba West Local Government Area, where one of his opponents Isah Echocho won. Echocho came second in the primaries.

The third running mate, Moses Ametuo came last in the poll. This may mean Wada would retain his seat as the Governor of the State as he is unlikely to lose to candidates of other political parties in the November poll.

PoliticsAlamieyeseigha Reveals Why Obasanjo Picked GEJ As Vice President by exlink10(op): 4:33am On Sep 15, 2015
Barely four months after the exit of President Goodluck Jonathan from power, indications have emerged on why former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, picked the former Bayelsa governor as vice to late President Umaru Yar’Adua.

Revealing the intrigues that led to the choice of Jonathan as vice president in his country home in Yenagoa, former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, said it was part of Obasanjo’s grand plan to stop Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from succeeding him in 2007.

The former governor said from the discussions he had with Obasanjo, he knew that Jonathan was going to be the vice president of Nigeria as far back as August 25, 2005.

He said Obasanjo’s fear then, was that Atiku had secretly endorsed Alamieyeseigha as his running mate and had perfected plans to succeed him (OBJ) at the expiration of his second tenure.

Alamieyeseigha said the choice of Jonathan as vice president was to frustrate the emergence of Atiku and himself as PDP flag bearers in 2007.

He expressed regrets that his impeachment, imprisonment and travails in office were part of the plot by Obasanjo, who he described as “devil incarnate” to stop him from becoming Atiku’s deputy.

His words: “For Goodluck, I knew that Jonathan was going to be vice president of Nigeria as far back as August 25, 2005. Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, told me that since Atiku and I wanted to take his job, that it would be over his dead body; and that unless he died, Atiku cannot be president of Nigeria.

“Obasanjo said since Atiku had picked me as his running mate, he would make sure that he dealt with and disgraced us. He said he was going to use my deputy to rubbish me before everybody. So, I knew.”

On why he picked Jonathan as his deputy, Alamieyeseigha said he needed an establishment person and somebody who was not too ambitious.
He described Jonathan as humble and a man with strong character, who could be relied upon to handle a position of responsibility.

“I needed somebody that, if I travelled outside the State, I could sleep well. It was a combination of these factors that made me to choose Jonathan as my deputy then.

‘I set out an objective criteria on the qualities I needed and when the late chief judge of Bayelsa State recommended him (I did not know him before), I entered my car and drove to his residence.

I asked him to resign and come and be my running mate. I was already a candidate. He was then in OMPADEC quarters”, Alamieyeseigha said.

RomanceMy Wife Has Finally Abandoned Her Children - Emeka Ike by exlink10(op): 7:21am On Sep 12, 2015
Emeka Ike’s Wife Suzanne Rejects Reconciliation Offer, Insists On Divorce, Actor Says Children Missing Her.My Wife Says She’s Not Coming Back, I Told Her Children Their Mother Has Abandoned Them.

In this exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, Nollywood actor Emeka Ike says his children are now asking after their German-Nigerian mother, Suzanne Rero Ike who abandoned them and packed out of her matrimonial home few months ago.

When asked if the children are asking after their mother, the actor said:

“On many occasions, they ask me about their mother and tell me to ask her to come back home but she would say she is not coming and there is nothing I can do. They cannot help it; they miss their mother every day. At first when they asked me, I lied to them telling them their mother would come back and that we had made up. Then the media blew everything out of proportion, the news is all over the internet. I cannot kill myself so I try to explain what is happening to them,”.

Emeka Ike wife abandon children

The actor added: “God is our strength; He is the blessed assurance and the one that consoles a man in my position. We do all we can to make sure the children get the best. I have an assistant in the house, a male house help and a chauffeur in the house and they all take care of the children when I am away attending to work. I make myself available as much as I can because I am their father and mother right now. It has not been easy acting the role of a father and mother to my children but it has made me to love and appreciate them the more. If I am away from them for more than an hour, I would not be at peace so I have to call home to check on them at regular intervals.

As I speak with you, I am on my way to work but I make sure I always call them regularly because I am bothered when I am not with them. But a man has to work to fend for his family. I hardly hang out with friends anymore and immediately I finish from work, I rush home to be with my kids,”.

How can a woman abandon her children just like that?? There is more to this story Emeka is not telling us.

What do you think?

PoliticsI Have Never Hated President Buhari - Ayodele Fayose by exlink10(op): 11:52am On Sep 11, 2015
Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose says contrary to popular belief, he does not hate President Buhari. He said this while receiving the state labour leaders, led by the Chairmen of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Raymond Ade-Adesanmi and Trade Union Congress, Ayodeji Ladeji, in his office in Ado Ekiti yesterday September 10th.

He said:

“I consider the anti-corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari as mere propaganda. If you want to fight corruption, you have to do it by example. President Buhari must start from his party men. He should probe how his campaign was funded because he told Nigerians that he is a poor man. Whatever I say about Buhari should not be mistaken for hatred, I don’t hate him. But, he has to desist from fighting corruption with political face. I differed seriously to his anti-corruption war because he has been protecting other former heads of state, except President Goodluck Jonathan, who contested against him.

What is happening to Halliburton’s scandal and other corruption cases perpetrated before Jonathan’s government? This is what I expected the labour to do. They should ask questions, rather than mere protests.”he said

Fayose accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly displaying signs of corruption.

“The commission has been evading the payment of N10 million it ought to pay me over appeal court judgement when I sued EFCC for harassing my wife. Is this not corruption. I stand to be corrected, I am the only governor who calls the labour leaders to Joint Allocation Account Committee and Federation Allocation Account Committee to decide how the state allocation should be spent. This is to tell you that I have nothing to hide and nothing to fear.”he said - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/i-have-never-hated-president-buhari.html#sthash.O8hea0yW.dpuf

PoliticsDokubo-asari: APC Cannot Win In Ijaw Land (bayelsa State) by exlink10(op): 11:08am On Sep 09, 2015
Leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujahideen Dokubo-Asari, has vowed that the Ijaw nation will not allow Governor Henry Seriake Dickson and former President Goodluck Jonathan to be disgraced by losing the December 5 gubernatorial election to the main opposition party in the state, All
Progressives Congress, APC.

Dokubo spoke on Tuesday when Governor Dickson formally declared his intention to seek re-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“We Ijaws don’t run away from our enemies. Jonathan did a lot for all those who have turned against us. Nobody, wherever he is, can move the Ijaw nation. We’ve never been conquered, the British knows this fact. This fight is beyond Henry Seriake Dickson, it is beyond you and me, it is for all. He will never be disgraced on December 5. They have boasted that they have control of the Army, INEC, Police, Navy and SSS. But we will meet in the battlefield on election day.”

While speaking at the occasion, Governor Dickson vowed that his government will wind up the APC on December 5 when the election would take place.

In his declaration held in Yenagoa, at the popular Samson Siasia Stadium, the governor said even though the opposition is relying on federal might, security agencies and and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to assist them to rig election,”Bayelsa has no room for APC.”

The governor’s declaration was attended by senior citizens including ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan; former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan; former governor of Bayelsa State and Governor-General of Ijaw land, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha and 12 PDP governors led by chairman of PDP Governors Forum and Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko. - See more at: http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/09/dokubo-asari-apc-cannot-win-in-ijaw.html#sthash.GE6jwYjS.dpuf
