Sometimes I just wonder how or what Otedola's daughter, Temi Otedola see in this guy to take him as her boyfriend. His dressing sense is wack and him no come fine join am. No be say I dey die for another man matter but the guy dey provoke me jor.

Social crusader and son late High Court Judge, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly boy, on Wednesday described pastors and politicians, who own private jets as “bastards.”

The veteran entertainer and convener of OurMumuDonDo made the remark while frowning at the sorry state of Nigeria Airways. In a post via his Twitter handle, he shared some photographs juxtaposing other countries national carriers with the dead Nigerian Airways.

He wrote:

#EndSARS Peterside Accuse Nyesom Wike Of Championing Campaign Against SARS

APC kingpin, Dakuku Peterside, Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, has alleged that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike was behind the current campaign for the scrap of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, #EndSARS of the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking in Lagos State, the former All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Rivers State said SARS officers in Rivers State were doing well. According to Peterside, rather than disband SARS, the agency should be strengthened to function better.

Peterside said;

“Rivers State is number one in high profile crimes of murder, kidnapping and robbery and the state government may have become uncomfortable because of its inability to influence and control the police. “Some people are obviously benefiting from the criminal activities that SARS officers stand against. I support the good work of SARS and I wish the agency could be re-organized and strengthened to function better.

“It’s a campaign championed by Governor Wike. In every society, without the police there can be no law and order and consistently for the past 18 months, Rivers State has occupied number one position in the area of violent crimes.

“Several have been beheaded especially in areas like Omoku and Ahoada. “Recently a lady lawyer, Mary Obe was killed because she was pursuing a case on those who killed her brother. Her brother, Edwin Obe was killed earlier in Eleme part of Rivers State.

“I believe nobody will deny the fact that SARS has been very potent in tackling crimes in Rivers State. They have reduced the crime rate and given confidence to the people.”

Recall that Dakuku Peterside was pictured earlier this year being shadowed by SARS operative and was criticized so much because the SARS operative was also holding umbrella for the former Rivers State governorship aspirant. See pictures here

Woow and another woow. A Ghanaian woman, Madam Comfort Adwoa Okorewah, a former fetish priestess who has converted to Christianity at Akwadum in the Eastern Region, celebrated her 108th birthday over the weekend in a grand style.

Madam Comfort has 10 children, 50 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. She started as a fetish priestess at age 13 and practiced for 75 years before she found Jesus Christ and became born-again.

A simple birthday ceremony was held for her at Akwadum, a suburb of Suhum. The memorable ceremony was graced by the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Margaret Darko, chiefs, queen mothers and other residents in the area.

Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, Rev Dora Boateng, a leader of Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry (CEM), who is Madam Comfort’s last born, explained that her mother had a dream and was directed by the Holy Spirit to convert into Christianity in order to gain salvation, which she did.

Good a thing that the IG of police has said he was going to reorganize the SARS dept of the police after series of Innocent citizens who went through hell in the hands of these SARS officers started shouting out. TODAY I and my sports colleague travelling to Lagos for AG meeting of the Nigeria Cricket Federation was robbed by these so called SARS officers along Asaba to Benin expressway.

The CP of Edo should look into this matter and find this group of police officers who continue to disgrace the police force. For 2hrs we were held hostage with handcuffs not minding that I identified myself as a Commissioner in Imo State. Every money found on us and in our bags were taken, my wrist watch was taken, my pepper spray was taken, other valuables were taken too.

So many times during this ordeal guns were corked and we were told that they will shoot us dead and nothing will happen. Our Phones were taken away from us, so that we can’t make any call, the place was so lonely and they forced us to park where their hidden car was parked. A brown Camry written police by the two sides of it. From that point were we are, you will not see a passing car approach till it vooms past. You will imagine when they eventually told us to go and I reminded the one they were calling commander that we had no other money with us, the six of them started debating how much should be given to us, after about 10minutes one brought 3,500 out of over 40,000 they took.

As we were still with the one who brought the money, another officer came with an extra 1,500 and added. We were now been forced to drive off. Even when we noticed that oil was dropping from our car and wanted to check. They refused and told us to go to somewhere else and do the repairs. If at my level and status, I got such treatment, I wonder what our innocent citizens are seeing out there. IG Sir, pls some of these bad eggs should be carefully removed from the Police force to bring sanity. Nigeria must be better.

EFCC Set To Appeal Appellate Court Ruling Rendering Them Incapable Of Prosecuting Sitting Judges

Recall that yesterday, the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal ruled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC does not have powers to investigate or prosecute serving judicial officers except where such officers have been dismissed by the National Judicial Council.

EFCC in a statement yesterday stated that they have set in motion an appeal for the capricious ruling issued by Lagos State Appeal Court.

The statement reads in part;

The EFCC will appeal today's ruling of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal, which held that the anti-graft agency lacked powers to investigate or prosecute serving judicial officials except where such officers have been dismissed by the National Judicial Council.

The Movement Against Corruption and United Against Corruption movement has commenced this morning and the massive turn out is impeccable. This is to send a message to the government that the people are tired of the official corruption that is systematically killing Nigerians.

According to reports, all most every concerned citizens came out en masse to join in this noble walk of justice and below are the pictures coming in from PortHarcourt, Rivers State capital, Gombe State, Uyo an so on.
