Culture › Re: Different Between Tribe And Ethnic by ezeagu(m): 11:12pm On Apr 04, 2015 |
A tribe is a small gathering of related people by culture, blood, kinships and so one. An ethnic group are a bunch of people related by culture who have different political systems, like kingships, priesthoods, and so on. For example a family can be a tribe, but a large ethnic group made up of empires and kingdoms is not a tribe. |

omonnakoda: lol .The Nigerian situation .Are Eboes the only Nigerians .Please leave that story for the village ilo. We are not talking of people just scraping a living we are talkling of something much bigger and sophisticated. Clearly for you and your folk "Na makate" and all goes but I say again they gather in vain for the children of others will spend all they gather.
With regard to 1960 Did the Eboes help Nigeria with the Blockade?. Like I said first the action then the reaction. It is one thing to have arms and another to use them. It is only in sport that we have pre match talks and build up. There really is no need for much talk. Our people say When it reaches the time to shitt the anus will open.It will forget how to be shy. When the time reaches it will show how dirty it can be You must think using 'Eboe' is insulting, but all it enforces is the western literary heritage of Igbo historians from 1789 onwards. What were your writers calling your people in the 1780s? Anyway, all these things you're writing amounts to nothing. We still have many people from all over the country doing worse things than drug trafficking, are the Igbo drug traffickers funding Boko Haram? Just that the drug traffickers have weight. No pun intended. I want to see how you will handle a tripod of mayhem if there are a group of Igbo militants who start up, because you surely already know about Boko Haram and if the east starts then the militants will see road, can't you see? It's the east that the militants are looking at for the go ahead. Boko Haram has left the norths hands and ISIS have adopted them, they've mutated from an internal Nigerian political conspiracy to an international one, unfortunately for Nigeria ISIS had arisen in time for Boko Haram. Don't ask for something you won't even be involved in handling. |

omonnakoda: You sound prod of the drug business when you should be ashamed. I pray yo are not one of them. The drug lord s may make their money but their household will surely become a desolate place and every trace of them shall be wiped away even after the fourth generation justice will overtake them suddenly. For us there is no industry in criminality it is vanity and what they gather will be as dust in the wind I have no comment on that, it is the Nigerian situation that has driven towards that so I don't have anything to say for that. Only that I'm telling you the facts on ground. This is not 1960 when Russia was influencing half of Germany and Israel was fighting Egypt, when Islam was not weaponised and seen as a threat by the powers that be. The arms run like water now, and I don't think Ijaw people will help in your blockades (which is what killed Biafra) since they are already mobilising their people right now. I don't like war, I would not want to fight a war, I don't like bloodshed, but people should stop taunting and war mongering people O! I don say my own. |

omonnakoda: Well it would be a REACTION to an ACTION so naturally the action would have to occur first. It does not have to me me there are plenty of people in the Yoruba house with lots of ideas on how to neuter insurgents . I reckon yo must know about the Nutrition Restriction Scheme of the 60s and the property redistribution scheme of the early 70 you could be an agent of education. Do not worry there are many bright minds with many brilliant ideas on how to cut recalcitrant populations down to size Before you realise that a quarter of the Igbo drug lords in South Africa alone can give you something to sing about, it would have already been over. Carry on. You, Egypt and the USSR, surely are in the 1960s. |

omonnakoda: The reason the militants were not stopped was because of PDP . The PDP governors were in bed with them @ Nite and this includes Jonathan. That will end now.If they start the solution is simple declare a state of emergency and EVACUATE (yes you read that right) Evacuate every man woman child goat or fish of Ijaw origin. EVERY ONE (Palestinian style) and REPOPULATE with Kanuris from Gwoza and Baga. We will relocate the Ijaws to Borno State to continue fishing in Lake Chad. That is what I call the Amalek treatment Go and ask the Palestinians Good idea. I would like for you to initiate this please. |

baysol: It is palpably clear that these socalled compatriots in Igbos and Igboids(Deltans) have no interest of the nation at heart since independence. They always work against the nation and effort of well meaning Nigerians. I think it's time to eschew sentiments and pay this ignoramus back their worth. The last election shows that Igbo are indeed evil people and never mean wells. They pervade themselves all over the country in other peoples lands with their Rat mentality sucking parasitically on the resources of other peoples land to the detriment of the indigenes only later to ungraciously claim the land the are guest in is no mans land (Lagos) that they are more than the indigenes. They end up producing children that are poorly trained and educated like rats add no value, that they claim they do, to their host communities. Instead they bring their vices from the east with them; 419, kidnapping, dealing in fake and low quality products, get rich quick syndrome, ritual killings, Drug peddling worldwide, eroding achievements other well-meaning Nigerians in foreign lands, the list is endless......I think its high time this people are moved back to their unclave of Biafra before the really devalue are collective franchise, Nigeria which them alone have been able to singly give bad names to, all over that world. There is no single good in these people with exception of very minute insignificant few of them that have grown up in civilised society or the society did not allow them to practice their evil trade as they would love to. So the oil money is now Igboid as well, right? Guy, if you can't compete with 'foreigners' in your land, that is your problem and not theirs. A lot of these comments sound bitter and jealous. Igbo people aren't just in Nigeria, they know of their names in Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Congo, South Africa and so on. Somebody's industriousness shouldn't be a thorn in your flesh, it should encourage you to enter a healthy friendly competition if nothing else and study and train such a group humbly. All this other shit is nonsense. People are talking about the presidential election now as if Buahri will elevate the northern people at anywhere near the standard of living of those in the south east, which is not going to happen, so the best thing is for the rest of Nigeria to study south eastern Nigeria. There's no aspect of human life that isn't better in south eastern Nigeria or among people from the delta, so I don't know where you're getting your idea about low-quality education from. |
