wesley80: Sir, the kind of biz Mr Maduka is involved in doesn't require popularity or global approval to be profitable - He isn't selling CocaCola but "exotic cars" that concerns only a very minute number of people and in this line of biz, political patronage could be everything!so you are confirming that this is another angle of corruption by this inept govt. You are saying that coscharis is using their exotic cars to bribe the govt in exchange of a bigger fish outside their car selling business. |
ifihearam: I was about saying same thing to you,bad government you say, please tell me the good government inplace before GEJ came in2 power am waiting oooo. Are seriously waiting or you are just making fun of someone? GEJ govt so far makes every past govt, including Shagari's looks likes like a polished diamond. |
How many people who actually watch Nigerian movies can afford the Range Rover Evoque?!! Could they have given it to like a Dame Jonathan whom 99% of her close friends could possibly buy one?!! ITS called P.R sir... Same as Coscharis sponsoring the All Africa Games in 2003 (COJA).. The P.R they got from that made the BMW 3 Series popularly called COJA a household name and also sold insane numbers of that brand of car... The move was priceless. So this is also business sir.. So whats your point!!
Ethnic politics apart, you are in all honesty comparing all African games that was watched by billions of television audience worldwide to a Jamboree of wives of African dictators? If you are a true business person, you will sponsor an event no one knew about and unpopular event for that matter? That is not PR, its called suicide, because if you have ran any sort of corporate business, you will never like to be associated with anything that is unpopular like this jamboree. Or do you think that many Tanzanians starving from recent drought will be rushing to buy Coscharis car tomorrow because the wife of their president was on a Jamboree in Abuja by brother Cosmas? Just think about it. I doff my hat off for some of you, that defend the indefensible day in day out. For GEJ, a president that rushed off to Brasil recently when his own domain was on fire on the excuse that he is desperate to save the planet is at the same time unleashing 200 gas guzzling car on the streets of Abuja, something a single airconditioned coach can handle, does it make sense to you? |
.
And the monkeys who abused Jonathan Yesterday nko?!! You may want to shut up now before its too late.. Coscharis has always sponsored events in Nigeria.. Example are the CHOGM and COJA events.. They lease these cars out, return them to their show room and wave off 10% from the cost..
Please excuse my ignorance, my questions are this: 1. Is Coscharis sponsoring this event or one of many other sponsors? What do they get out of it, as they profit making business not a charity organisation? 2. Isn't lease the baptism name for Hire? Can they be sponsoring the event and at the same time leasing their property towards what they are equally paying for? 3. If this is not the case, so who is bankrolling the car leasing from Coscharis or is Coscharis paying themselves? 4. If their sponsorship ends with just giving out 200 cars, who is responsible for feeding, accommodation and general welfare of this African queens and their entourage? 5. Who is paying the drivers of this 200 cars or does Coscharis has 200 drivers on their payroll as well? 6. Who is paying for the security of this lovely African ladies? Is it Coscharis too? |
So how much exactly is this costing Nigerian taxpayers and which areas of their budget covered it? Just asking please. |
nifemi01: Meaningless cos he won't be able to function again. D brain can only survive max of 10 mins without oxygen.Who on earth is John Kuffor with a mandate? I thought a certain John Kuffor is alive and kicking with no mandate as Jerry Rawlings? |
Idokojimmy: QUESTION AND AND ANSWERYou don't need a board member to be a beneficiary. Idokojimmy: QUESTION AND AND ANSWERHe doesn't have to ask them before hand to become a beneficiary. Remember Iyamu and Lawrence Anini? Idokojimmy: QUESTION AND AND ANSWERWhat sort of question is that? Did they made a huge contribution towards his campaign? If they did, where did he think they brought the money from? Handling stolen good is equally an offence as stealing, but we don't who did what yet or do you? Idokojimmy: QUESTION AND AND ANSWERHow can he recommend their persecution or not? That is not his job. What do you think they pay the director of public persecution for? If I were you, just relax, go and make your tea, get your biscuit ready and don't jump yet before they start running. This is Nigeria, if you start becoming an un-appointed defence attorney in a case you knew next to nothing about its details, you will soon have raw egg on your face. Lets chill and wait as they spew what they swallowed, then you can go riot with your defence. |
warrior01: do you live in nigeria? If no, then, how do you know that the so called 'epistles' are lies without you being on ground to asses them? I doff my hat for the road constructed from Abakaliki to Ogoja; it was really awesomeSo it means that next time you made comment about U.S and others that you only see on TV that we should stone you to death because you haven't been there or lived there? Only in NIGERIA that people still thinks that road construction, drinking water, constant energy supply counts as an achievement in office. Those are basic or minimum requirement from every govt on any land be it democratic or dictatorship. Some idiots even say that its their dividend of democracy and I asked them whether the good roads in Cuba was built by some angels from heaven or by our democratic Castro and his brother Raul? |
Tennyrank: I,m surprised majority of people are deducing death of mr president n his vice, being d only way electns can b held b4 2015. They hav not averred their mind 2 impeachment as contained in sectnYou shouldn't be at the bolded, Nigerians always tell themselves what they wanted to believe and don't even dare to tell them to think. |
walton1: When last did bakare preach the message of salvation in his church or an anionting service, as a member I rather listen to discussants on tv or radio then coming to church to hear political issues again.I think in Nigeria a message of salvation means different thing from one person to another person, depending on the ethic/tribal cap they are putting on. Because in my experience, once a Nigeria had his ethnic/tribal cap firmly on- white is black and black is white, and say what you like, thats the way it is. If the pastors message was that GEJ will live longer than Nigeria and his only begotten son will succeed him in office, those calling for the head of the pastor now will demand that he be given the grand commander of Nigerian republic. And those defending him now will turn against him on the other side too. I remember that it was the same pastor that was threatening thunder and fire if the same GEJ is not made president, when they said Yar Adua can rule from his grave and Jonathan also appreciated his effort too by giving him $50K for taxi fare home as he probably misread the pastor's original motives of fighting for him. And it seem that the unexpected $50k taxi fare gift tipped the scale between the two men. The pastor now realised that the Nigerian first PHD president is actually as soiled as the rest of them uneducated goons from the past and decided to pitch tent with Buhari to get rid of Jonathan. That is how I believ is the genesis of Bakare's dislike of Jonathan presidency and the return dislike form Jonathan's camp too. |
kolemm: I understand where you belong, let's leave the matter. I am not saying you are a Sadducee. No, Just that we see things differently. No, I try to see it as bible itself said it, not like the fake and counterfeit Roman Christian of the past. God of the bible is not an arithmetic you can see through different angles and still come to the same conclusion. I rather be a Sadducee, at least the sadducees did not pretend to be Christians. |
dedeike: Mr. Thomas, the doubting legend. Even when you have been confronted with the facts of GEJ's achievement as posted by Edicolove, you are still doubting and apportioning blames where none exist. All his quota and federal character ministers and the credible alternative can be you and why not? Unless you think you're useless. |
moderatorr: 2 early to rate himI take it you haven't heard about what is called 1st hundred day in most democracies? There are 7 x 100 day already, minus Yar Adua's left over. |
kolemm: Stop saying what you dont deeply understand, Have you not read it in your bible ...EzIK 33; 7-9 and 14-25, That when a man repents, God relents. Why did Obasanjo call for prayers from Pastor Adeboye, and other great ministers of God, he should have ignored the prophesy. What about Pharaoh, Did he not call on Moses to help intercede that God may take away the plague. And did that stop Pharaoh from afflicting the people at other times? Some of you makes the word christianity/bible sounds very ridiculous. There are no such thing based on bible principle as 21st century prophesy. The word prophesy as relate to the scriptures means a foreshadowed prediction of the future as directly related to God's plan or regards to his kingdom and this prophesy ended with the complete canonization of the bible in the first century and its directly link to the final demises of Jesus direct apostles. At the completion of the bible, God no longer speak directly to humans, as everything they need to know is right there. What has God's kingdom got to do with whether Jonathan is president or not by 2015? You guys are exactly what your scripture referred as those sheep without shepherd, following and happy to be deceived. What half baked christians/bible reader of Nigeria is calling prophesy today is nothing but a current affairs prediction based on current events. Bookmakers has been doing for centuries now, from current issues of sports, politics, weather etc. I had always predicted that every new Nigeria leader will always be worse than the one he succeed. I had always been proven right each time, its not because some god told me so or I am some sort of prophet. It is easy and simply based on having watched Nigeria over a lengthy period and can see the pattern of normal behaviour of Nigerians and the system that produces them and same system under which they will work or rule. Nothing more. |
Reyginus: I know. The truth is that this man wants GEJ dead. The occupy nigeria protest should tell you moreDon't get me wrong, but where did you get this pattern of your reasoning or conclusion from? The article you read like me or something else? Personally I am not in the business of Nigerian churches CEOs prophesies, but to say that the guy wanted Jonathan dead because of occupy Nigeria protest is not only nonsensical but absurd. What some of you Nigerians shows with regarding any critic of the government is that you're still deep rooted in military psyche and mentality. The old and probably still the way for most of you is that-any govt/person in power is a mini-god and is always right and its a sin to say otherwise. This Bakare guy may even love Jonathan more than you do, believe me. In this world, your worst perceived enemy could actually be your best friend, while the one that kisses your backside for breakfast could be your worst enemy. This Bakare guy stood tall and risk his own life, when most those Jonathan is romancing now tried all they could to prevent him becoming president and on the same breath, refused $50K taxi money from Jonathan. It shows a level of consistency on his part. |
Abia waste, is that another name for Theodore Orji? How quick can the recycle plant be? |
jmaine: Was there a PDP primaries which produced Jonathan Goodluck ? Yes/NoYes there was primary that produced Jonathan but like I said you seem to have a very little inclination about democracy. Election or primary doesn't determines a true democracy, you can hardly called the process that produced Jonathan within the PDP and other parties as a true democratic process? It was a simple cash and carry process, where often the incubent person holds both the yam and the knife. What they did is an exercise that is demanded of them to be done by their own flawed rules. I can assure you that conducting a one way traffic Nigerian political party primaries are not the opium of a true democratic process. I am a card carrying member of the British labour party for the past 35 years, never had my present seating MP ever goes through primary election within the labour local constituent. So often the national exco of the party chose a candidate they felt will be capable of effective representation and acceptable to the electorate. Most of the chosen candidate may not had even ever lived or knew where the constituency is situated in the country. Obama will not be going through any primary this years before the U.S presidential election in November with his own party, so does it mean then that the democrats are not democratic? Election is just one percent of democratic process. In fact you judge how democratic a nation is based on the behaviour/independent of its public media like the NTA, press freedom, transparency of the system, right of the minority opinion, consistency of the political opposition to have equal access to the democratic process. |
jmaine: Really !!!Sarah Jubril was offering her gender Atiku was offering worthless Naira Jonathan was offering Dollars That what happened. So when Gender-Naira-Dollar goes into war, its obvious who will comes out trumps. Has nothing to do with true democracy. |
Billyonaire: Meanwhile, PDP remains the only truely Democratic Part in Nigeria. The facts are there to see. ACN is run by Tinubu and Tinubu alone, he anoints candidates for office, The board of trustees in ACN has no voice, the only loud voice is Tinubu. CPC is also regional party set up by Buhari for the sole aim of contesting for Presidency, its that same reason that he solely annoints himself and contest for Presidency every 4 years and may continue to do so until he is disgraced to retire like his colleague IBB. APGA is also regional, they clearly call themselves Igbo party, an attempt by a Northerner to convene a meeting of trustees met a parallel meeting in Ojukwu's compound with Gov Obi and Ojukwu's wife running things. What party again oh....hen en...ANPP, this was a major opposition in the early days of democracy, it was sort of national until greed tear them apart seeing most of the members swimming into PDP and some in limbo. So, PDP remains the only national democratic party with nominations openly done at Eagles Square. PDP leads, others follow. If PDP fails, Nigeria will actually shake. I cant trust Nigeria in the hands of Tinubu's regional party or Buhari's regional Party. They both are entrenched in regional jingoism. If PDP is your greatest idea of what democracy means, it means you haven't got a clue about democracy. PDP is anything but democratic. A collection of individual withouts any plan for good governance or ideology, but with a sole aim of holding power and distributing public money, contract, appointments and patronages among themselves. PDP will rig an election even where they got no opposition, because they are so addicted to rigging, they don't you can win without it. That is no democracy. Give all the parties equal cash and equal access to the public media, election without rigging and watch as PDP disappears. Any party in Nigeria is as strong as the public money it controls. Its funny NPN use to make the same boast for some of you too old to remember or knew and we knew what happened to them in the end. |
afam4eva: When i say they're not fighting for anything, what i mean is that what they're fighting for is not achievable and any sane government will not pay attention to them let alone think of dialoguing with them.Don't count your chickens yet. How do you know its not achievable? Everything is a achievable in Nigeria-trust me. If you can get or achieve the highest position in the civil service without turning up for work in 13 whole years, nothing is impossible. By the way, Boko Haram nephews are now in charge in Mali, this time last year, probably most Malians thinks its unachievable too. So be a bit cool on the optimistic side that its not achievable yet. |
size38: Who is senator Waku? Senator waku should understand that d diference b/w him and oritsejafor. Oritsejafor is a complete man of God who will always tell the truth no matter what. Whlie senator waku is a nigerian politician who always tell lies even when the truths are there looking at him. Senator waku or whatever ur called, pls leave oritsejafor alone.I do get confused with Nigerians and this toga of "man of God". What makes a person a man of God exactly? Is it if you are the CEO of a certain christendom church or what? Or does this god email to tell them? I really will like to know. |
afam4eva: I don't know what his position was when MEND were causing havoc and i'll do a research on that. But we can't compare MEND to bokoharam because unlike BK, mend was fighting for the freedom of the Niger Delta which was a neglected region for a very long time, even though they went about it the wrong way. But what is bokoharam fighting for?You know what they say: One man's freedom fighter is another man terrorist. So now that MEND seems to be in some deep *freezer, does it mean that they have won this freedom you said they are fighting for? What is Boko Haram fighting for? you asked, I thought they said that they are fighting for all of you infidels to become moslems and for sharia to replace Nigerian infidelity laws or on the conspiracy theory angle, GEJ and his supporters said that Boko people were fighting to stop GEJ building Ore-Benin-Onitsha road etc? So you can't say that they are fighting for nothing. Can you? That is why I think, they are not interested in being flown inside GEJ's airforce 1 for some stupendous Egusi/Pounded yam lunch at Aso Rock and then a handsome $50k cash taxi money home, but I think MEND, the freedom fighters love all this niceties as man does not live by freedom alone. |
omenziate: I have always known u to b worse than filth, el-rufai, so u enjoy wat ur allah says to maim and kill christians. May Jesus have mercy on u. Blood sucking demon.Did you ever remember Jesus mercy when reverend King of Lagos was roasting people or was he doing in behalf of christendom? |
afam4eva: I think we need more people like Pastor Oritsejafor to say things the way they are and not try to paint a picture that all is well, when opposite is the case. Are sure, he "always" say things the way they are? How did he say thing or did not say thing when MEND were the bride/news makers? Did he call them freedom fighters or terrorist? Can you check? Cos am not sure. |
centje: one of d things that makes a man is nt to allow sentiments overshadow his sense of judgment. No matter hw u hate someone stil make effort to read meanin into his or her statements. Wat gudluck said hs some element of truth,if it were nt d way pdp waz structured gudluck an ijaw man wont be president. Pdp is d only party in nigeria wit nation wide coverage. Acn is regarded as yoruba party, apga igbo,Anpp is to d north likewise cpc.we may nt be able to see d true colour of Some of these parties until they handle presidency. Nigeria waz in a severe political tension b4 d return of d present democracy, gradually that tension is coming down all bc of how pdp hs bn handlin power. Tho error waz really made in gudlucks case buh it waz necessary otherwise wat is happenin in d north wuld hv been happenin in some states of d south south region and it wuld hv had more disintegrating effect on d country than wat we hv now. So i stil insist pdp controls a great percentage of wat stil unites this 'failed state' called nigeria. The bolded is what they programme you Nigerians to believe and as long as the sentiment persist, no matter how bad they are and how awful their record in governance are, you gullible Nigerians will continue to choose them as your leaders. This is the same PDP the American diplomats termed as non political party of no ideology but a congregation in individuals with common interest of holding on to power and sharing of public purse. PDP and Jonathan will become regional like the ones you mentioned if they no longer has monopoly of public money both federal/states, juicy contract as reward and patronage, no monopoly of NTA/FRCN. In the last election Jonathan has three presidential jets at his disposal 24/7, while the other fellas can only made with hiring on hourly bases, of which they cannot afford. It means, if GEJ chooses he can visit each state 5 times before the poll and others will be lucky to cover the 36 states once. Plus the fact that all those made billionaires by PDP will be competing falling over themselves towards money for their campaign for re-election. Even the most irrelevant political party in Nigeria today, if you given the same opportunity as PDP to control the centre even for ONLY one year, they will equally become national spread as PDP now claimed to be. And my people has a saying that " The man carrying the palm-front on his head is the one all the goats will be following" If PDP or ACN is to win Ondo in their next election, just give six months the so called Labour party will no longer be state wide spread, that how it works in Nigeria, its all about who control the source of money. Ask yourself this, how national spread was PDP at its inception in 1998 compared to 2012? |
You're very much on point. It's a long-term progress. Nigerians will appreciate our President's good works soon though some can't be pleased.
Its funny when it comes to issue like choosing leaders on merit, not by ethnic bias, election rigging, good representation, you guys tend to remember that democracy is a long term thing. But no such long term luck when it come to your presidency trying to match the likes of American president on opulence based on public purse, the size of presidential fleet of jets. At this stage in the American democracy, their presidents probably still rides bicycle to work, there are no white house, no airforce 1, endless mercedes benz for one man and there was no junketing the world looking for non existing and elusive investors. |
hakeem4shi: I served in Owerri in Imo state,I am a Yoruba man. If u see how dis Hausa/Fulani guys are been treated by the igbos,u will know dat hausas are very tolerance. They abuse dem, take their market and will not pay all becos dey are minority in the state, there was an issue where two cattlemen were beaten and were robbed and chased out of the community, nobody reported dat issue. But wen these guys take up arm to resist cheating, some biggots come to social media to vent their anger on issue they knew nothing about or maybe they even read the headlines alone. We don't bother to know the genesis of the issue, wat lead to the fight and if it was as a result of fight. Cos u guys will not ask urself why some few herdsmen can overpower a community. please, always check ur facts b4 commenting on issues, its not compulsory dat u must comment on every issue biko! How on earth did you escape this earth shattering maltreatment or did Hausa/Fulani tattooed their tribes on their fore head, while you didn't? Or did you slice off your tribal marking ON YOUR FACE and took up Owerri English accent? I think I knew where you served in Owerri- Its called the Owerri prison. Its not fare to call all wicked prison warders in Owerri Igbos. Just be fare. |
kaeto: just last month he had a secret meeting with gov. Amaechi, the head of governors' forum as regards 2015 on how to oust GEJ,the cat was let out and they both denied it, its been big sh.it since then but never publicised. As long as the northern generals are alive power should never be entrusted to their care because their blood flows greed and evil untold.I will take it that you are the third person in this secret meeting for 2015? |
manosteel: Suffice to say that it is only men considered honourable by US Congress are invited to present a paper or speech. Ever since he stood before the powerful US congress, out of envy or jealous, many have lashed their tongues against him especially the Bokoharams sympathizers. I read the paper he presented, it was not targeted at anyone, rather it was a true reflection of what is happening in the country. He even blamed US Govt than he blamed Nigeria goverment. Come to think of it, what image is there again to protect? Is the world blind? All the evils taking place in Nigeria, the Killing, Bribe scandals, robbery, internet scams etc are all there for every to see all over the world. If i may ask Mr Waku, have you ever heard any good news about Nigeria from Aljazeera news network? Can you prove those things to be lie? How about the people listening to those broadcasts from around the world? Just travel outside the country, you Will realize that the name Nigeria has a stigma.Really!! You mean Honourable men like Sen. John Edward or those that sanctions war after war? |
TroGunn: This Waku person should shut up already. Is what CAN said more divisive than the rubbish Northern elites like El Rufai and Buhari have been spouting endlessly? Have ACF been speaking against Buhari's constant call for acts of violence? You guys are hypocrites. You tend to see things in black or white based only on who said it and where the person comes from. Buhari called for a direct action against future election riggers was termed a blasphemy by some of you but when Tinubu used the same tone or even worse during the last Ekiti Gub's election, it was alright. If Tam David West said that GEJ IS AN INCOMPETENT president, no one will bath an eyelid, El Rufai criticise the same person with detailed figures, you said he hold lamps for Boko Haram. Pastor Ayo is a hero for singing war song all the time, if a northern mullah is to say the same, you will call it treason. And don't let me even start with Edwin Clarke's version of diplomatic utterances and contributions towards Nigerian peace. How many of you have approach your senator/rep member to demand that you prefer not to belong to the same nation with this northerners? Non! May I remind some of you that your fathers fought and won this one Nigeria with blood of many people and the same one Nigeria you supports now half hearted because your fellow southerner happens to be on top of the tree. Nigerians are very predictable. |
rolchi: Did Ayo Oritsejafor say anything that is not currently happening in Nigerian and known to all, including you? How many times have Joseph Waku called out against BH by differing that all Nigeria cannot be Islam...who in the Muslim world of Nigeria has ever condemned that fact that BH keeps calling for all Christians in Nigeria to become Muslims. If you are a Muslim, do you not truly believe in your heart that all Nigeria will be Islam?Pastor Ayo can speak mind from his comfort zone in Warri or his nice posh 5 starts hotel in Abuja, not from Damaturu. He should tell us whether Boko Haram Bombs and AK47 discriminate between Christendom and Islam faithfuls? 21st Century Pharisees and Sadducees. |
Maku or Waku is an apologist of ACF. Who is this clown really?. A polarized christian
How can he be an apologist of a club he is the vice chairman? ![]() |
