Maku or Waku is an apologist of ACF. Who is this clown really?. A polarized christian
H |
Jarus: No big deal. All these fights are not taken personal. And these are the group of men that our dear suffering/smiling Nigerians, especially on NL abuse each other everyday as supporters? Wait the say Jonathan daughter will get married or his mother join our ancestors, whether you will not see all of them hugging and high fiving each other like no man's business. |
paulcr7: i think we should follow what 1timothy 2:1 says.We should pray for this man and not abuse him.our prayers for him will help to order his steps and make Nigeria better for all of us.NIGERIA is going to be greatI don't think nations like South Korea, Malaysia, Japan read or knew anything called 1Timothy 2:1 to have good and honest leaders. God is not a Nigerian and neither is he stupid. Pray as much as you like, but Dr Pepper will never taste like Coca cola. That is a fact. |
edicolove: Exactly what part of the statement is a blunder and how do you define a blunder? From where I stand, you are the one trying to define it as a blunder because you hate him. Every neutral would consider what he said a fact and in order.A blunder politician is one who makes so many mistakes that you knew that the next one is just around the corner. Or should I use gaffe prone, mistake prone, foot in the mouth? The facts remains that, right from his days as deputy governor in Bayelsa, that this guy will not hack it as a councillor if Nigeria is a serious country. Every time Jonathan opens his mouth, you knew he will committee a topic of discussion on the negative that will lead to being thrown out of office in most truthful and decent democracies. I can speak because I had experienced and lived the real democracy for close to 50 years and experience real talented, wise, brutal, honest and integrity politicians, so whenever I see Jonathan, all I can say is this: Only in Africa. I don't hate or love Jonathan as that will be making me unserious person. Why would I hate him? His actions or inaction doesn't directly affect me but it does affect thousands of people I love and many dependent on me for that reason. It must be very difficult for you falling in love with a Nigerian politician like Jonathan? I can imagine how difficult it must be for you, reading all the negatives about him, which you knew right down in your heart that are true, but for a man deeply in love you really wish it goes away but its not going to go away, because Jonathan is assured to come out with more blunders as a man not fit to run public office. Because I don't hate him or in love with him as you do, that gives me the freedom to speak as I see it. How I wish you will free yourself from that yoke of being in love with a Nigerian politician and he disappoints you every minute but its too hard to bring yourself to say so, so you continue to wallow and defend the INDEFENSIBLE. I hate to be in your sandals. |
ifihearam: I see some of you here are foolishIts funny when I read your above quoted, I thought you were being sarcastic, until I start to read you other posts afterwards. Being a supporter of a Nigeria politician must really be tough for anyone that possesses a measure of conscience, because after reading the full content of the thread and many other Jonathan's presidential blunders after another in both utterances and deed, wouldn't your first reaction be: God! how do I defend this one now? Can't he keep his gob sealed for one day, just a week after his Mrs perm sec debacle? But trust you guys, you always manage to find a way around it, really clever bunch! in ironic way. I don't know how you guys does it but you manage to do it anyway. I salute. |
Mark my word, this action will now sets off a new trend for the crook elites, knowing how bad things catches up with Nigerians. Because this is nothing but a new or another way of dressing state pension fraud. So whatever happens now, she will end up with a generous pension, while they're busy sacking venerable family providers from their menial jobs. |
When you think that Nigeria has broken all records of idiocy, they, like a bomb comes with a bang. So courtesy of Emperor Jonathan and a dimwit called Dickson, there is now a honorary permanent secretary award in Nigeria? Not done with an unknown and unconstitutional position called first lady, not done with using a title specifically designated for British women of outstanding achievements in theatre, film and writing called "Dame". This actually reminds me of the Deposed Romanian president Nicolae Ceausescu in the 80s during his autocratic rule, made his illiterate wife a professor in the Bucharest university with a big state fanfare and all the real professors had to attend for the fear of their lives. But we all knew how Ceausescu and his wife Elena ended. |
Johndoe100: Eziachi, I forgive you, as you are far away. Let me enlighten you, each state has staff in Abuja, yes even up to Perm Secs (short form of Permanent Secretary). She was a DIRECTOR in our Ministry of Education. As a Director promotion to Perm Sec is normally expected. I do understand that their is nothing we can do in our states to please your Ibo azz, but please have the decency to stay out of our affairs, nothing we do in our states with our money is of the slightest concern to you. If there is a story about omo-na, then we will look to you for your snide comments. You need prayers in order to forgive yourself first before thinking of forgiving anyone else. Many of you has gone beyond redemption. I take it Mrs Jonathan goes to her job as Bayelsa civil servant every morning in Abuja and so hardworking in her job it earn her a hefty promotion? And the last I checked she was touring all over the world with her husband doing her civil service job, while in Brazil attending her earth summit for weeks? Sorry! how can I forget? she is on garden leave for the last 13 years. Now its all about your state's affair and I should stay away because your so-called bloody state is living in isolation? How does people like you sleep at night? But how can I be surprised or amazed at your level moral bankruptcy? afterall when Alams returned as a woman, you and your state gave him a heroes welcomethen with Jonathan himself as the cheer leader after screwing you up like fools. I take it people like you had never done a day job in their lives, no wonder you people are so poor and retched in the midst of plenty. |
TalkingBird: We have civil servants in the East, West, North and South whose manner of speech/ intonation/accent is affected by their mother tongue. English is not our first language in Nigeria.Human beings like you are wonderful species, they will defend the indefensible with some daft excuses that deserves death penalty. Next you will tell us that she goes to work each morning from Abuja to Yenagoa to earn her monthly wages and this super promotion?. English is not your mother tongue, even though it was used to teach you from nursery school to Mrs Jonathan attainment of haul of unexplained university degrees. And the worst being that she was even credited to be a teacher at some point, probably she was teaching her students in Okrika or latin. |
iykak47: Is it illegal or immoral to appoint Patience as permanent secretary? Its neither illegal/immoral if she has a job that she goes to like every other worker like Mrs Odilli, but for the fact that she hasn't turn up for work for 13 years, but still receiving salary and now got super promotion doesn't just made it illegal/immoral but gobsmacking. When I predicted that Jonathan and his wife will be the first in their position in Nigeria to be jailed for corruption, not because they are the biggest thieves but because they are turning out to be the most gullible thieves ever, people thought that I was joking or crazy. But It will happen. |
WTF!!
I take it you no longer think its Saharareporters made up story? I am sure you will think of something else. I can't wait for your brother Abati's spin on this one. ![]() You bloody Nigerians haven't seen anything yet. I think this nice humanitarian gesture from generous Bayelsa government is step one of Jonathan declaring his asset. |
OmoEziokwu: Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir is a fool. We are doomed with the kind of people who rule usHow do you make out that this guy is a fool? A fool because he is a minister doing is job of telling you what the govt position is, of which he is just a servant? The bucks stops with whoever he is serving a.k.a Goodluck Jonathan, also knowns as the commander-in-chief of the Nigerian armed forced and president of Nigeria. You are leaving the anus that farted, to knock on the head. |
ALTRUTH: The truth is that it would be good for the south (Igboes, yorubas & south southerners) to stay united and brake off from Nigeria. It is true that we have our differences but those differences are not as bad what we have all come to see that the Hausa/Fulani is capable of. These people have a history of carrying out gruesome killings against southerners/Christians. It is now obvious that the Hausa/Fulani is the problem of Nigeria. Take Sudan as an example. The Sudanese government is beginning to feel the impact of the breakaway of the south and have introduced austerity measures that sparked off demonstrations in Sudan. Let Nigeria split to North and South and let us see which part will suffer for it. It is time for southerners to unite, forget our differences and pursue a common course. I bet you that Southern Nigeria will develop much faster than it is doing now if we break off and stay united; we can always resolve our political differences. The Hausa/Fulani are drawing us backwards in this country; they have nothing to offer but bloodshed and destruction. They have ruled this country longer than any other ethnic group but will still not allow us have peace. If the middle belt decides to be a part of us, we can welcome them too. It wouldn’t even be a bad idea to build a huge fence separating us from the Hausa/Fulani no matter the cost.Whats your definition of being united? If being united means having another one single nation with Yoruba and Igbo or Ijaw in it together, then forget it. As siblings we grew up, go to school, get a job, marry and live our own family lives and our sisters get married to their new families, it doesn't mean that we are not united again or enemies, just because we no longer inside the same house. Before the British started their experiment, Ndigbo has more contact/marriages with present day English speaking Cameroonians than the Yorubas and the rest of Nigeria and that is a fact. |
I hate it when you hypocrites talk with your two mouths. How many of you really want to go back to that gully-stricken region ?
NEVER MIND WHAT I WANT, WHAT DO YOU WANT? Through the utterance of the likes Junaid Mohammed and actions of group like Boko Haram, you can see the picture of what the north want, it now down to you to tell us what you too want? The days of talking in riddles as Junaid Mohammed put it is long gone. Say whatever you like about northerners, at least you can trust their "Yes" to be yes and their "No" and their no to be no, even if you don't like or agree with them, but at least you knew where you stand with them. |
namfav: i do not know if kidnappings will attract investors, good luck anyway with your biafraYou never know, it might attract security investors, while you will be busy managing and dealing with political assassination in your land and the investors that will attract. Nice one. Now up you come with more negatives, landlocked bit is exhausted I think. |
Jikan Hauwa: You are my HERO! So intelligent. Forming a new country wont solve a thing. Borders will still exist btw the different countries 2 b created, and I can assure you,the prospect of war btw the countries wil not b ruled out. Is all about power and power..personal interest and greed. They wil wake up in their Biafra 2 find out dat nothing has changed. Beside, they really knw nothing about how western world and so called international community operate..Yes we may wake up and realise that nothing has change in the new Biafra but the difference this time is, its our fault and its no one else's and no more Hausa, Yoruba, Abuja etc to blame. If we fail, its because we failed, not because of the design and machination by somebody else's motives or by accidents not out fault. We will now live within and among our own flesh and blood as rulers, not rulers on paper, thousands of miles away in Abuja or governors taking orders from Abuja. We hold them accountable as we down president/secretaries of our powerful town unions who annually handle millions in money for community development but never has a penny gone missing, because they will never live to enjoy such money and sleep soundly with us side by side every single day. It has been done before by the old nations of the Soviet Bloc and they are not planning to regroup into the old Soviet either again. Ukraine has successfully co-hosted Euro 2012, but during the Soviet era, they regarded as second class humans to the Russians. Never had any good business, journey etc built on your negative outlook of what could happen. If such is life, no man will ever use his one and only residential house to borrow money to start a business. Life is full is full of constant changes and risk taking. And those stagnant to put it into effect always get left behind. Such is life. |
bisiaet: I dont really want to comment much on this thread because declaration of state of biafra is like a joke I mean a real joke. You are asking who will lead it? Whats wrong with you leading it? You got two balls as everyone else. Are you too old or too young? |
Yorubas dont need it cuz we've outgrown that.
I hope you will remember this your chest beating- "You don't need it" when the time comes I was reminding you this fact, because of you guys obsession of drawing Old Eastern map that got nothing to do with you but forget that you have a bigger problem of your own in Kwara and Ondo. You guys tend to forget that what is termed old east had lived together for centuries before the contraption called Nigeria was even dreamed of. |
991: Why are the Yorubas always afraid of disintegration of Nigeria?? you see them defect whenever the issue of Biafra arises some of them even vow to fight for one nigeria, well, if you choose to harbor the hausa/fulani in the name of one-nigeria, plateau state should be a lesson to you.Its a pattern I had noticed and learned since I joined Nairaland. If you are to change this thread's topic to: GROUP TO DECLARE A STATE OF SOUTHERN NIGERIA REPUBLIC, their tone will immediately changes, you will see some designing the flag, others constructing the coat of arms and composing the new national anthem. But mention exclusive Biafra from around the Niger River- the next you will hear is- you are landlocked, your property and business etc as if they care more than you do as the owner, who even maybe doesn't give a damn about bricks and mottar, which you can easily rebuild if there is life, freedom and independent to do whatever you want and how you wanted it. |
That is why I said a referendum should be conducted in all the areas of the defunct eastern region since most of them were never part of the secession process in the first instance !
Hopefully you will prescribe the same method in Kwara, Ijaw oil lands area thrown in by Ayo Irikife as part of Ondo when the time comes? |
afam4eva: Eastern minorities were included in Biafra by default because they were part of the old eastern region. Right now, things have changed and they have every right to decide where they want to belong. Is it because this guys don't know what you just said? No! They seemed programmed to derail anything associated with Igbo, Biafra irrespective. Why? because that is how they are brought up to think, behave and act. So when it come to ANYTHING associated with Igbo, Biafra, all their reasoning jump into the Eko lagoon. Some of them will declare Ewedu as poison if someone is to say that it originated with anything Igbo. |
chrisxxx: No need of declaring a republic. Leave it in the hands of BH extremists. They will do it for you. But a food for thought would you leave South-South out of this?Which area was called south south in your geography lessons? There are no such thing as south south or do you mean places like Asaba, Anioma, Aniocha, Ndokwa? Nobody is forcing you to leave paradise Nigeria, thats your choice. You are a burden and Biafra can't be leaving a burden called Nigeria and then hang out or to be saddle with another new burden. |
olatomiwa: Stupid noise makers. Did it occur to them that they do not need to make a declaration before recalling all their people from the North? No strategy! Recall your people from north and south west. Advice them to relocate their businesses, instead of making declarations that will make a lot of people loose their lives and properties. Msheeew!Mr wise man, how do you recall your so-called people in their own supposed country Nigeria? How many scots and their businesses are being recalled now from the rest of Britain just because Scotland wanted an independent? Tribalism has screwed some of you. |
@ Topic.. The gods did not sanction this move... It will surely fail.. I advice all the good people of Igbo land to stay away from the path of these BZM people.. They are the proverbial 'man whom the gods want kill, they first make mad'.. Be warned, if they do not desist from this action, there shall be blood.. And the blood shall be ours.. The gods have spoken...
I bet it was your spiritual prayer that started the blood river going on now in the north, Mr prophet? I kept asking this question, what does people like you want? no Nigeria, No Biafra, just sidon dey look? Probabaly your god of blood will do something one day. You people always thrive as spoilers. That is why you fielded Nuhu Ribadu as a presidential candidate but never voted for him/your party because he is not one of you. You led Buhari to believe in an alliance until the last minute when you pulled the plug. And you secretly voted for Jonathan to spoil-spoil but couldn't get yourself to support his lukewarm leadership and government. Everywhere you look, you are criticising Jonathan but it was actually your vote that tipped the scale for him. I can't really get you people. Everyday it becomes clearer that you guys prefer this chaotic Nigeria because that how you thrive, just like a pick pocket who doesn't like orderliness, rather chaotic environment because that how he thrives. Ohaneze people, just few days ago produced a paper of how they see a future and better Nigeria through a constitutional reform, you guys jumped in with you usual tripes of anything Igbo must be hated, Biafra option is mentioned today, all you can contribute is your usual Biafra is landlocked and at the same time can't support owners of Nigeria like Jonathan for the continuation of Nigeria. What the heck do you want? |
Ibos are not only in the north but also in the SW.will you leave yorubaland for a landlocked biafra ?
Everything is tribal bashing for some of you, that is why you decide to make some of this statements that doesn't make sense. There are are more Igbo people living in Cameroon/Equatorial Guinea than outside Igboland in Nigeria put together and that dates back to the 50s. |
gegee: Make them leave ijaw territories out of this 1 o wats d use of exchanging ur minority status in nigeria for a minority status in biafraWhich territory is Ijaw territory? No sane Biafran want Ijaw in any new nation. Be on your own or you can continue to enjoy wonderful one Nigeria. Its your choice. Ijaw territory my a**. |
You can never tell only if this new group is craving for attention.the big question is''how many ibos really want a landlocked biafran state'' ?
You hate Biafra simply because it has to do with Igbo people, if not I can't see any other reason. You don't and can't embrace Nigeria and also don't want Biafra to succeed. So what do you want? Let Biafran worry about your so called landlock in the 21st century when the time comes. Somalia is surrounded by water and I can see them going to the moon with it. Is not what you got is the problem, its what you do with it. If landlock is the problem of Biafra, then it has no problem as there are successful nation of this earth better than Nigeria that are landlocked. |
afam4eva: Territorial boundaries will pose a serious problem.I don't think so, anybody who claim not to know where he belonged is a liar. When the time comes Biafrans will identity themselves, It won't be by force. Even being Igbo, Annang, Efik or Ibibio doesn't make you a Biafran. You can choose to become whatever you wish. Period! |
Nigeria police will take care of them.
I bet you love that, just as they took care of subsidy demostration in Lagos and I couldn't see your white teeth then. You don't love Nigeria, you hated the Biafra option. What do you really want? |
Stop digging yourself into a deeper hole. Everyone has a stake and should be involved, at least through his/her representatives in NASS, in the process of enacted laws, bills, and constitutional amendments. You get involved by trying to influence the outcome through your reps, via lobbying or other means. Must I break it down to this level to you? nwanne, cut your losses and stop responding. I am seriously restraining myself because I respect your sacrifices as a veteran. Please don't make me call you olodo - such words are reserved for onlytruth and his likes.
Don't let me stop you please. You are free to call me whatever you fancy, its only an internet forum to me, it doesn't bother me. And seriously, you don't owe me any respect, veteran or nor veteran and I never solicited for one. You don't have to response to my opinion, just ignore it and the same goes for me too. We are talking about a brand new constitution for a new start, not amendment of any sort, so it got nothing to do with the so-called NASS, which many like myself do not recognise. When the time comes, each interest group will send their representation through any format they see fit into to be set up specified constitutional conference, not through political party representatives. |
Your mindset and those of most of these so-called Igbo leaders need to be revamped. This is not a Nigerian thing as you stated above. Stop trying to deceive us by implying that you do not understand that lobbyists in your country of residence do not go around posting their interests all over the internet while presenting same, to lawmakers for action. Tell me, what does Ohanaeze stand to gain from this showboating?
There is a big different between constitution making and a certain law that concern a certain sector of life, that is where you lobby those involved, who may not be familiar with that sector but will play a huge role in passing a law regarding it. I am a member of British medical association, we spend millions each year lobbying parliamentary groups over issues concerning our sector. In constitution, everyone is involved, you can't lobby a person who doesn't agree with you neither you, neither will you waste your time lobbying who is in the same boat with you, because constitution a matter of public opinion, who will decide in a referendum unlike parliamentary legislation, where you lobby just the law makers. |
Kobojunkie: I don't cross my fingers anymore on issues Nigeria. I am still trying to recover from the cramps from the Obasanjo years. lolYou still remember how Nigeria wiped off her debt and now ready to borrow Ghana some money? How much are they owing now to the Chinese alone exactly? I beg you to Keep your leg crossed too, not just your finger. |
