Beaf: ...Or winsh, or vulture, or hyena, or red-eyed... Lol!If its 100% private, why are you bleeding on about it as an achievement to be realised by Jonathan administration? |
Kobojunkie: um . . . FEIN of companies registered in America is not CLASSIFIED informationDon't mind this goons, sometimes, they believe they are talking to their gullible uncle in their villages. |
Beaf: You are too old for this, sir.You are right on the money boy-oyoyo. I am too old to be easily misled as in many times before with promises. So I can't argue with you on that front bobo. |
manny4life: Kobo and her cohorts are the ones complaining bitterly. Now you are talking like the son or daughter of your father. Don't barrate skeptic one, because, with Jonathan in charge, no promise is sensibly swallowed without having egg on your face later. |
Beaf: You have time to answer kobojunkie? Lol!Maybe in the same vein, next time you put a date to end terrorism (army without face/barracks) you should announce it through VOA because they pack much authority as FBI and CIA, because president Obama always chooses radio Russia to announce his policy initiatives. I am laughing now with you. ![]() |
manny4life: First, to my knowledge of the report, the FG is not partnering with them, perhaps, doesn't have any sorta equity in it.Who is complaining? I am celebrating, with my champagne kept sealed in the fridge just in case it turn out to be one of many Jonathan's fictional fresh air promises, so that I can return the wine and get my money back. |
Beaf: Lol @ kobojunkie doing research on Jim Mansfields innermost details! You wanna do the guy 419?That is what 21st century human beings, especially citizens do when it comes to how their nations money is spent. They dig deep, look for answers, ask hard questions, not just swallow every hook and nail coming. Especially those that promised the end of Boko Haram in June, 6000mw of electricity 2 years ago. I want Jonathan and his partners to build 100 refineries, not just 10 for over 150 million people. The taste of pudding lies in its eating, not its smell. When tens of promises ends up like like a mirage in a hot desert, people bout to be skeptical. tHE SORT OF NEWS COMING WHEN TWO FUNCTIONING WAS is said to be on their last leg. Just bulldozing your little house, because someone promised to build you one. And who said there won't be be another committee (job for the boys) tomorrow to verify whereabout of this good news. |
I don't mind fighting, it depend on what they are fighting for. Public issue with passion running high or personal over who stole the biggest of public money? |
Say you don't give a damn in serious countries and watch within 24 hours how the nation won't give a damn throwing you out of power by all legitimate means. Well, this is Nigeria isn't it? I was busy watching football on the day he said that, but while watching a recorded version with a friend afterward and hearing him said he doesn't give a damn, we looked at each other bewildered. Did I hear him correctly? my friend asked. He could have said worse, I said. That what he meant by fresh (air) way of talking down on your slaves (gullible Nigerians) |
This should not be a time for whining and/or effeminate emotionalism. One would have thought by now, you boys would have been sober. Political expediency should guide the actions of Igbo leaders at this point in our history. Wise and savvy interest groups lobby quietly and achieve much more than foolish people who announce their wishes to the whole world . My advise is free and you people don't have to consider it. Ignore it at your peril. Our people talk say a tuoro omara, o mara, a tuoro ofeke, o fenye ishi n'ohia (If you tell a wise one, he understands; tell a dunce, he runs into the bush.)
By wise and savvy you meant deception, conning, not saying how you feel, get one over the other people and we are happy and good enough for us? When people say that they play Nigeria politic well, they may be right but that doesn't mean a complementary way of doing things. You may get what you want by being savvy and wise by the Nigerian standard today, but you will end up hurting yourself in future. Forget about ethnic loyalty and all the tribal things of Nigeria, every southerner or northerner who haven't learnt a thing or two since Jan 15 1970 will never learn again. Using lies and deception to get what you want today or get one over your perceived enemy is never a guarantee for a bright future. If Nigeria ever get a chance of restructuring, forget about your savvy and for once do things with open mind, honesty and the future may be better than what you got today. |
Elueme: It beats me hollow that this same man has the effrontery to comment in criticisms every activity of government led by GEJ... El Rufai in his imaginative thought had positioned himself as Obj's successor, had written Bihari off as a religious extremist who was perpetually unelectable, he has said Obj was the best thing to happen to Africa not Nigeria only... He became power drunk and impoverished thousands of Nigerians with ripple effects.. He confiscated so many lands, gave them out as gift for his friends, well wishers and concubines alike..... If I may ask hell Rufai why has your testimonies on Obj and Buhari changed? Because your wishful thinking was not granted you, Obj and PDP are the evil bedeviling the nation... Pls mr hell Rufai, it will serve your interest well to keep mute on national events so Nigerians can forget your atrocities in a Gifffy cos we forget so easily but the THE MORE YOU CRITICIZE ANYBODY THE MORE YOU ATTRACT SYMPATHY AND SUPPORT FOR SAME COS WE KNOW THE DEVIL CANNOT REPENT, SO STOP ACTING HOLIER THAN POPEIt shouldn't beat you, unless you were born last night. They are politicians, especially the breed that is not ideological driven. Because he called Buhari names while serving OBJ can hardly be a surprise. Vuhari then, a threat to his posh job, what do you expect? That is what politicians do and that should not diminish his opinion of what is happening today, especially having been an insider himself more than you and I. Even in the much more developed democracies where politicians are ideological driven or still had some measure of integrity, they often say harsh things against their opponents in the heat of the moment, they will later embrace and work with the same person. Hillary Clinton won't be holding the highest office in the Obama's admin today if we are to go and dig out what she said about him during their primary campaign within the democratic ticket, because that is politics. You guys should leave politics for the professional politicians like GEJ, EL Rufai and co, because that is their means of living and try and say things as you see it, unless you are one of them. Don't dislike someone just based on the fact that he disagrees with your politician idol of the moment, because tomorrow, they may find themselves in the same basket. And where would that leave you? And where did you get this as a fact that he positioned himself to succeed Obasanjo? |
Alxmyr: I posted this the day I received the news of the death of one of the victims of the wicked acts of Mallam El-Rufai.Pray all you like. El Rufai did his job as the minister for Abuja and not private El Rufai. If he went beyond the mandate of his responsibilty and did your friend wrong, he should pursue the ministry of Abuja as the ministry is still in existence and that is the way its done in many democracies. Instead of invoking your god for revenge that will never happen. I am not saying that you are wrong or your friend wasn't, but one thing is sure about Nigerians, they hate doing things by the book, always cutting corners, even when its free, because they believe that if the worse comes to worst. they will throw bribe money at it and it will go away. But in this case most of them got El Rufai wrong as he was determine not to play ball, no matter what his motivation in doing so is. But the points is, if your house was demolished, did you do everything according to the rule? I am not interested why he did it. You should never give your enemy a rope as present, as he will use it to hang you if the opprtunity arises. |
Alxmyr: Were all the houses he demolished along Airport Road on sewage system?I don't know the answer to your question as I don't live in Abuja, my comment is based on what I saw/heard El Rufai told the committee investigating his job as Abuja minister, why he demolished the houses. And one the reasons he gave them was that some of the houses were built on top of the city's sewage system or some bought their land from fraudulent owners without investigating first if the seller is genuine and the land had to be returned to the rightful owners. If you have evidence to the contrary, then do something about it, not accusation based on rumours or just because you don't like him as a person or he is another northerner, a southerner must not like, Nigeria normal way of life. If you think he demolished your house wrongly, go to court and seek redress, especially now he is no the flavour of the month around the establishment's corridors, you have a good chance for recompense. Write petition to your representatives in both state and national level ands seek their help, that is why they are earning their salaries, to help you in times of need., not making baseless accusation about selling the land to other developers as Nigerians thrive in rumours. |
This submission, unfortunately will end up in a shredder very quickly, if it is not already there. When will my Igbo people and leaders learn how to play the political game properly instead of showboating in a manner which will achieve nothing? Instead of the glory seeking announcement of this submission, these old coots should have been working quietly with the chairman of the National Assembly Joint Committee on the Review of the Constitution, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, who is in the best position to have their interests reflected in the new constitution. SMH
You are right, it will end up where others before it ended up. most recently PRONACO and in the past Aburi accord. I want you to reason as a reasonable person you are not project it as something from the Ndigbo, as tradition, should not be accepted. How is some persons or group of person's opinion on how they see a possible better future in their opinion be show boating? The usual Nigeria way is that few people should be privilege to see certain thing and make all the decision, therefore it has to be in secret. What makes you think Ekweremadu opinion better represents Ndigbo than me or Uwechue, just because he call himself a senator? Constitutional issue is opened to every body and shades of opinion, irrespective of individual public position. Scotland may have their chance in 1914 whether they will go alone or continue with GB and so far both pro and against has launched their campaign including both low and mighty in open debates, its not give to exclusive people in government. Let other group produced theirs, just as PRONACO, OHANEZE has done and let see and compare, debate, agree and disagree on various issues/points raised. If by this kind of sentiment you allowed the likes of Ekweremadu to decide who gets what and who belong where, you will end up with the old ways, because their first concern is to protect whatever their statu quo are |
macjive01: Nice points, but i dont subscribe to STATE OF ORIGIN - what will happen to Igbos , for example, born and breed in Lagos ?The same thing that happen to Ukrainians, Georgians, Estonians etc born in Russia during the Soviet era will happen to Igbos born in Lagos and if they are so desperate, they can apply for citizenship of their host nation just like Nigerian Brits, American, Germans, French of today. Middle belt, your so called 200 ethnic group in Adamawa or whoever should go back where they were before 1914 or rejoin their kin in Cameroon. Anybody who claim not to know where he comes from or his root is not worth existing. |
@Musiwa I warn you about spamming this thread with any map. We all knew about map of NIGERIA. Your obsession with maps is a bit disturbing, whether its a mental health issue related I don't know. |
I can heartily say that I am neither anti or pro of any politician and Goodluck Jonathan is of no exception and Nigeria will be the last place I will even think of supporting any politician no matter where they come from. The opium to a longer and peaceful life, I had been thought from childhood is to say things the way you see it, not the way you see fit and tell the truth at all times irrespective of how it will be received. Someone under this thread made some statement that Nigerians hates all their leaders as part of their way of life. I had to say that is not actually the truth. Nigerian crooked politicians don't know how lucky they are to be ruling a country as apathetic as Nigeria where you can do all you like and no one will bath an eye lid. So you can say that Nigeria from day one are blessed with nonentities as leaders, and one thing you are guaranteed with them is that a new one will be far worse that the one he succeeded. I had doubt about Jonathan right from his days as deputy governor of Bayelsa. That he is an "oh yes" kind of person, who is quite comfortable and happy that he has found himself among the big guys (Owners of Nigeria). You see people like him right from your days at school, at work and in business and they are called the boy-boy of the establishment. As long as they are okay and belong, they are okay. They say little but dangerous in private. Only a fool will expect Jonathan to solve all the problem of Nigeria even if he is given a whole 30 years, but if he makes a start with one single issue and succeed in it, I will not complain, but the fact that he in power, just for being there and he is neither cold or hot but rather like a look warm tea in the mouth, very unpleasant. Another of Nigeria emergency and unprepared for leadership rulers, every single ruler of Nigeria from day one had always been accidental and few other that wanted it and prepared for it, irrespective of their flawed personal characters were never allowed. Azikiwe, Awolowo, Olu Falea, Abiola, Maitama Sule are few Nigerians that wanted leadership than been begged to be one but for some accidents of history never gets it. Today, Buhari is another guy that wants it but you and I knew he has more chance of winning American Idol than getting it and the trend continues after Jonathan. Why can't Jonathan hug and ally himself to the masses that are looking for a real leader and discard all the crocodiles around him? What has he got to lose? Nigerians are crying out for a real man leader who will be on their side once for a change, but every sign has shown that Jonathan is not the man. He loves the statu quo, the opulence and extravagance you expect from a normal Nigeria leader and embrace it with an open arm. Those that had been on this forum few years back could remember when I use to be called Mr Biafra as I was the sole voice then telling guys here that Nigeria was designed to fail from the start and no amount patch up will ever fix Nigeria. And any time spent doing so is a time that could have been used to start building new nations out of it. But events in the last few months has made people to change their tone and ways of thinking, especially those of Yoruba leaning, who use to see the word Biafra/Ojukwu as unpalatable goose. How I wish that Jonathan will man up and give everybody the right either to continue in this charade called Nigeria or not and write his name in the stone of history. Its a single act that can wipe out Boko Haram and other problems out in an instant. But he has got the will, boldness, gut and intelligent to even think about it, let alone do it. |
Musiwa2: .Please this thread is exclusive to sane people only and no google map spamming is allowed. |
No more expensive and unworkable American presidential system, that encourages abuse of power and elected people behaving like emperors. Parliamentary system is cheaper and manageable. The prime minister or president and the regional premiers of governor general will automatically becomes the leader of the majority in parliament. All they have to do is to win their constituency election and that will curtail tribal/ethnical vote pattern to choose the national or regional leader. And from among their fellow members of parliament, both the president/prime minister or regional premiers shall choose their ministers, who are directly answerable to their fellow parliamentary members. It mean to be a minister, you have to be first be a member representing your constituent duly elected. Main Opposition party too will have a leader and will have shadow ministers to the ruling party. In the event of change of power, you already knew who becomes what according to their shadow ministries and not those chose the leader, just like in the presidential system. This will help bring down the cost of running affairs of govt. Once or twice in a week, the leader will face the leader of the opposition to debate the affairs of the state and this will curtail the manipulation of the public media by the ruling party because they now had equal access through their parliamentary debates. |
pcicero: You seem to know more than you are telling us. Was he ever a governor? In what way and capacity was he executing the 'failed policies'?\ Why must all homicide crime in Nigeria has to be connected with ethnic strife, religious strife or Boko Haram. So a business gone wrong can't be a link to murder anymore? political enemy can't kill anymore? family/friends don't plan evil anymore? Even your own wife, child or husband can get you killed for personal gain. God! hired/contract killers in Nigeria must be the happiest in the world as there is no chance of them been caught as everybody will be looking at Boko Haram. |
Johndoe100: Sour grapes perhaps? It is not GEJ's fault that you had to run. We had no reason to run. I always find it amazing that it's the people who failed here that are the most vocal in their denigration of our great country.Success in your garden of Eden Nigeria often mean death penalty in places like China or life in prison in most places, so if that is what you meant by failure, please exclude me. I don't like repeating myself but I will try and say it again that, your Nigeria is not great and never has been, unless the true meaning of the word "GREAT" has changed to something new unbeknown. |
onatisi: GEJ again?what has he got to do with this?nigerians very soon every accident on the road in naija we will blaming GEJ .na wah ooooBecause GEJ is not you or me, that is why he is called the commander in chief of all Nigerian armed forces and that has something to do with security of the dead fella. The Barclays Bank chief resigned last week over what the various staff of the bank did and you think he was their by himself holding light for them as they do it? Some of you still haven't really grasp the full concept of real democracy and how aspired to be leaders should be treated, what is expected of them. taking responsibility over an issue doesn't often mean direct involvement over such an issue. If Nigeria has a true democracy, most of this clowns clowning about and calling themselves leaders will ran miles from leadership because it take a lot to be a true leader, lots of sacrifices, unlike Nigerian ones. |
BENZINA: Old Ifeci stop dancing naked in the market place;is Yar*adua more reliable than Jonathan? Evidence so far is pointing that even a dead Yar Adua ruling from Saudi is more effective than lively Jonathan. The first move of Yar Adua as president was to declare his asset in public. Jonathan's first move was to take delivery of a brand new aircraft to add to the already big fleet and increase his feeding money by a couple of millions, that I wonder whether he has diamond for breakfast, Gold for lunch and Angelina Jolie for lunch. Now over to Aso Rock 40 computers for attack, I am already wearing my helmet. One-two-gooooo! |
Stallion77: if you were in President Goodluck's shoe, what would you do? Elaborate with details and lets see how gud u would fare as a leader of this great nation.Nigeria is not great and never has been and hence the reason someone like Jonathan of all people is leading it. |
Few months ago, the booming business in Abuja was the govt prayer business. All the so called men of God are landing upon each other, fighting over who will say the loudest prayer to the most Nigerian inept government ever and then wait for brown envelop of dollars for taxi fare home. They told Jonathan that god has assured them in an email that Boko Haram will disappear in June and Jonathan himself came out in public and gullibly told his fellow gullible Nigerians so to in affirmation. And the month of June came and went unfulfilled as the gods were asleep, so prayer warriors were sacked. So, a new business model came to live and its called committee business. No day passes now without a new committee being setup. The only committee am interested in is the one to verify that I told you so that Jonathan will be crown Nigeria worst ruler ever and I am saying it now that he may be the first to go to prison for corruption. Not because he is the worst offender, but because he is everything but smart, gullible compared to others before him. |
Super1759: Nigertians and badmouth eeee.tufiakwa.wetin dem go do 2 make una happy.abeg make una comot 4 road make I sit down.lets hope and pray dis one works.I believe shaaKeep praying! Prayers without work is meaningless. |
Billyonaire: How do you impeach a PDP President, when PDP controls the Senate. I didnt have to read the thread to know the writer is not a politics savvy. How? Maybe you should ask Paraguayan MPs who impeached President Fernando Lugo over his handling of a deadly land dispute, forcing him from office and Vice President Federico Franco was sworn in to replace Mr Lugo and they are all from the same party. It should be your nation first and not the party. Now who is politically savvy? |
princenayo: I wonder why people like El_rufai should still be walking around the street of Abuja after inflicting such pains to Innocent Nigerians.I don't consider demolishing a house you chose to build on top of a city's sewage system as inflicting pain. Its a self inflicted pain buying the and acquiring the plot illegally to start with and thinking once its built upon, that is the end of it. That is the problem of Nigerians and their wolf cry against corruption, they seem to hate action that will stop corruption. |
Beaf: This is just another silly shot at cheap publicity. Was it not the same Dino Melaye who danced in public at the news of Farouks misfortunes? It seems that your pen always ran out of ink each time you are doing the criminal census before you get to the gate of Aso Rock? Where Jonathan is presiding over the most corrupt, inept, deceitful government in the history of Nigeria corrupt record breaking governments. |
kennytidistar: melaye is a clownA clown he may be, but this time, this clown is saying the truth, that what should matter to you and not his clowness ![]() |
folex101: Hon. Dino, why do you like to always gain cheap popularity by pulling down the Government......you were once a member of the house, what did you do to better the lots of the country and people from your immediate constituency....Why do you prefer expensive popularity than a cheap one he is pursuing? What do you expect a member of parliament to achieve if not to make law for the executive to provide those things? I don't know the guy and not interested in knowing him as is for the pleasure of his constituents, but that doesn't diminish the truth in his statement. As for your appropriate time that is coming, I think you must have been in some sort of dreamworld to have come out with that. Since when does Nigeria ever persecute anybody? unless the person doesn't want to play by the rule of their game.. |
