size40:What are the chips that you going to put down and running away from what exactly, from you? Nnamdi Kanu should also know that most of the place he refers to as Biafra land has nothing to do with the Igbos or Biafra. All these heat speech, inciting tribes against each other will lead to genocide and war which Nnamdi Kanu himself cannot stand. If you have actually listened to the so called radio. Why not list out the hate speech you are referring to? Or are you mindlessly jumping on the bandwagon? The same thing Ojukwu did in sixties and ran away to Gabon from there to Ivory Coast leaving millions of Igbo's to their faith in the guise of going to purchase arms for the war. Only for Ojukwu to run away for many years. Ojukwu came back to Nigeria in the Early eighties after negotiating State pardon for himself because of the slogan of "No victor, No vanguish" of the Nigerian govt which made it possible for Ojukwu to be accepted and reintegrated back into the society.Don't tell intelligent people, some history you knew nothing about? Since that day to the day Ojukwu died, Ojukwu never mentioned anything Biafra again in public. Except he did that in his parlour or village meetings.I guess you were in the Ojukwu's sitting room, while it's all happening? For those of u who will think am Yoruba or Hausa, am not. Am a full fledged Rivers man. Ikwerre to be precise. Obio/Akpor LGA. No skin pain here. What tribe in Africa is called Rivers? What significance is Ikwerre or Obio/Akpo to Nigeria and what significant will it be to Biafra? Who gives a rat where you comes from? |
nerodenero:When has PMB become the Supreme court or the Nigeria law makers? |
He has saved Nigeria massive sum normally would have been paid the oversized Nigeria ministerial occupiers and their legion of hang-ons for a month a least. Lol Get out your calculator: 36 x Nairrrrrrrrra= millions (excluding their hang-ons) |
Don't you love it when politicians are desperately trying hard to convince themselve with their own story and with their own words. Lol In life short term gain can result in a misplaced reasoning. Winning a battle is different from winning the war. Because my Igbo ancestors would have told Saraki that " A man whose on his journey defecated in the middle of the road, on his return will be welcomed back by a haze of buzzing dirty flies. |
chuna1985:Myself or anyone from Biafra do not have to reliquish a pin. We are living in a modern world with international laws. Your investment in not tied to your nationality or passport you carry. Because Nigeria got the British out and asked for independent does not translate that henceforth any Nigeria with Investment in Britain shall forfeit it to Britain. Britain did not deport every Nigerian residing in Britain just because Nigeria demanded for an independent and got it. Those that tried it in the past like the Nazi Germany were forced to pay reparations to their victims. As we speak, how many former British colonial nationals are living and working in Britain including Nigerians after they supposed to have got their freedom?. Whenever I heard all these Igbo got investment all over Nigeria nonsense, it makes you want to shake those dodd opinions into reality. |
DollyParton1:What we're the so called hate? List them. I will bet my fingers that you probably haven't heard the so called station ever, but just jumping on the bandwagon as always with the ill informed. |
gbl01:Who is fighting who? What has Biafra independent got to do with the war you seems to be an expert on? |
hopeforcharles:That's my point. |
lygn19:That's my point, you are against Biafra. That's your choice and right, but do you respect the choice and right of those who may like Biafra? I hate it when one's personal choice translates into the choice of the entire people. Your love of one Nigeria is commendable but respect the love others may have had for one Biafra. That's how a civilized person sees life. You have the right to speak for yourself but do not speak for me or anyone else and where you come from is totally irrelevant. |
It's funny neither NBC nor the Biafra phobia Nigerians had said what the offensive messages were. If you don't like what they are saying, why tune in to the station? People shout about democracy but never understood the real culture of democracy. Those screaming that NBC should do something about it , are in reality calling for brute force to be applied in order to stop an alternative opinion. Why is a modern thinking person shout about civil war every time an aspirational independent for Biafra is mentioned? As sophisticated as Britain is, allowed Scotland a free choice to leave the United Kingdom union only recently without any threat of force but a reasonable convinction to stay in the marriage of nations. The Basque and Catalonia people are openly preaching independent without molestation in Spain. Why do non Biafra Nigerians get jittery whenever they heard a sniff of Biafra? Quite a typical African mentality of love of using force to silence up an opposing arguments instead of applying a sound counter argument. But the same folks had no qualms with Radio Kudirath in the Abacha's dark days. Biafra aspirations, whether now or in a thousand years is reality that will never go away, especially with intimidation or force. So deal and live with it. If they irritate you that much, why not call their bluff and democratically give them independent referendum just like the UK and Scotland and let the so called majority Igbos with Investment who doesn't want Biafra shut the minority Biafra crusaders up forever through the ballot box? If such a vote is called today, I will personally vote for a Biafra independent from Nigeria with my one vote and so too many Biafrans with their own choices to make. Does it mean that I hate Nigeria? Absolutely not! Aspirations for independent Biafra does not translate into a doomed wish for Nigeria or those that love one Nigeria so much. 2015 Biafra is not equal to civil war or any other war. Biafra independent is not scenanimous with the destruction or liquidation of Nigeria. Nigeria can live, survive and be very successful without Biafra and vice versa. So stop foaming in the mouth any time the word Biafra is mentioned. It's not a threat to you as a zealous Nigerian. |
mankand:Lol. If he relaxed at one place, you people start announcing his obituary or that he is too old and sick to move about. If he is on the move, you claimed that he is touring. Make up your mind. Which one is it? |

chesterlee:Welcome to the 21st century, where you don't need to be tied down to your desk in order to work. |
Please can someone remind the dishonorable member that politics is a service and not a career, hence there are folks that choose to do it without any pay. Comparing himself with qualified professionals and career people is not only moronic but totally ignorant to say the least. If he wants a hefty pay, he should go and look for a proper job that requires professional qualifications. The worst was his boast that if he get N40m in ten months, that he will resign. That's a scandalous thing to say. It shows he is in politics simply because of money. If not why resign after that pay? So you got your target and why hanging about than to take your booty and disappear. We knew that they are in it for money but being brazen to tell it to the Nigeria masses is crass in the extreme. It shows the overall attitude of a typical Nigeria political class. |
Blackfire:Speak for youself, religion does not spin my head, not even cocaine can. |
Of course you did. And that humanity is called David and the God is known as Mark. |
oshyno:What is driving me as an African man is my allergic reaction towards sit tight African despots like Mugabe. It's an affront that he travelled miles to attend an inauguration which sounds like treason in his own country. You Africans toleration of the likes of Mugabe, Obiang or Nguesso, all in attendance in name of courtesy and respect is the reason Africa is saddled with them. What sort of respect or cordiality does persons responsible for the death of many Africans, some are dying painfully in the Sea trying desperately to escape from their mis-rule? To real Democrats and decent people worldwide; the highlight of that inauguration was that single act of demisifying Mugabe right on Africa soil by fellow Africans and millions of Zimbabweans are very grateful. I have plenty of emotions and am prepared to used it against evil. So feel free to remain a stone. |
slimghost:Please maybe you should define professionalism for me. Asking uncomfortable probing and embarrassing question is part of serious journalism. Most of you are use to NTA sort of journalism, that kiss the back side of despotic geezer like Mugabe, all in the name of usual African mantra of respect. |
Nairalandinfo:You have to feel sorry for our people's mentality. I cannot explain why poor people and poor nations tolerance misgovernance and corruption more than rich individuals and nations? Poverty mentality? No wonder Africans are desperately the biggest supporters of Blatter knowing very well for years how he turned FIFA into a mafia organization. Turning blind eyes to national association crooks in Africa and other poor nations who 're-elect him every five years. Isa Hayoutu had ran CAF for God knows how long with the support of Blatter. FIFA threaten any government that ask serious questions to it national association with a ban and sanctions. Just like they did to Nigeria government just recently and they have to cave in. EUFA can stand-up to Blatter because they had worked hard to make their leagues profitable, that they don't need hand out from FIFA in order to support corruption. Even the president of the United State is answerable to someone, but FIFA or CAF can do whatever they like without question asked. They blackmail nations with hosting rights, blackmail national government with sanctions of their national teams. FIFA need a total overhaul, where the election must include all current and present professional players, not just few rogues parading around football as national association administrators. |
oshyno:It depends on the kind of sane climate you live on. Not the normal one because she would have won an award and a promotion in real sane democratic climate for what she mustered courage to do against a living despotiic geezer. This is the same hypocrites defending a phantom Buhari ban on AIT, now they are Mugabe's guardian angels. Lol Very bloody hypocritical and transparent Nigerians. |
san316:Why not move to Zimbabwe and enjoy his saintly rule where you need 50 million in cash to buy a loaf of bread because the currency is worthless. |
OREMUSSANCTUS:Am sure you are. It may be you that is rather shallow, if you doubt me, please check Zimbabwe's social media and newspapers online and see for yourself how they reacted to what befell Mugabe in Nigeria, a week after Zambians did the same to him. Some of you are still smarting over Jonathan defeat as Sahara Reporters are seen by most of you as one of the architect of his defeat. instead you hiding behind sympathysing for one of African greatest enemies, who not only hate but disrespectful to Nigeria at every given opportunity to get over your annoyance for SH who are doing a superb job, which is alien to corrupt and hungry African journalism |
noblezone:What did Shagari do to be in prison? We knew what Ekwueme did. And you forgot to mention the one in a crates. Umaru Dikko is not from Nnewi but a fellow Hausa/Fulani. You conviniently forgot that. What business of mine is where Ekwueme was kept , just because he is Igbo that cares less about my existence? |
Who takes EFCC seriously? Why drop the case? Does it mean that he is now clean all of a sudden just because he is in the party in power or was he innocent all along but they decided to do the bidding of the past government? These people are not serious. |
If I was one of those he was advising, I will kindly ask him, why his brilliant method did not work for him in Imo State against Okoro-ocha? They should have swallowed their pride and accept the free lesson on opposition politics Mr Lai Mohammed was offering them last month. Propaganda and blackmailing without rich facts is equivalent to suicide. Does he know what the word blackmail means? It's a criminal offence to blackmail anyone.lol |
9jatatafo:I knew nothing about watches, so am not an expert. Unless you are , between you and hundreds of others that had responded, how many of you knew the difference between a Seiko and Rolex if you see one lying on the floor? Do you honestly know such a watch exist until read the story? That's typical Nigerians, jumping on the bandwagon for irrelevant stuff. My only concern is whom Buhari will choose as ministers and their first attempt trying to revamp the economy and not what someone told you his wife was wearing. Even if it's true, you can wear the most expensive gears without having to buy them. Am not saying that is the case. |
BackDatAssUp:Your money and you still take oversea aid from other nations. Niger is a neighbouring nation with huge economic tie to Nigeria. Almost all their sea freight come through Nigeria and that's a lot of revenue for Nigeria. How do you think the goods get to Niger? By forest? Sometimes I wonder the age of most of you. |
Midastorch:Did you watch Sepp Blatter's last press conference? If you did, then you might change your mind because Mugabe got an easy ride, especially what he had done to Africa. |
searchcorp:Why would any decent African with marbles screwed on like Mugabe? He should never had been invited. It's like inviting a vegetarian to a meatfest. |
I was hoping that PDP will knuckle down, take stock and ask themselves where it all went wrong. Then give a APC a first class and modern democratic opposition politics. But if this is what they think playing opposition means or the way to play it, am afraid they may be in the wilderness for a very long time. Have they ever thought to themselves that there are even Rolex sold for $20 dollars on eBay Hong Kong? I got myself an iwatch recently there and it cost £5.99 inclusive of postage. They should may be ask Mrs Buhari which Alibaba shop she bought her million dollar watch. |
BackDatAssUp:What is wrong if they had extended relatives in Niger? Who does not know that Hausa fulani is the biggest ethnic group in West Africa, stretching to Mauritania before the Europeans cuts them like cake?. What will be wrong if we are to have Igbo brothers in Cameroon? Despite no historical lineage Igbos still have strong attachment with the people of Bamenda and Manfe in Cameroon. What's wrong with that? The best road in Igboland, ran from Enugu into Manfe. The famous Prince Nico Mbarga whom many people thought is Igbo is from Manfe with an Igbo mum. Many Germans had relatives in Austria, many Scottish people come from Ireland, many people of Andorra comes from Italy and still had relatives there. You guys should desist from all these obnoxious hate campaign as we peacefully and intelligently get ourselves out of Nigeria through a modern Biafra nation independent quest. Respect other people, so they can take you seriously. |
So 48 hrs after flaunting a huge car as his official car with a crested number plate? Where did his official car comes from? Lol |
