![]() Oh Lord! Not another Fayose rice? Are Ekiti people really this hungry at every election? I thought Yoruba always claimed to be politically sophisticated. Is it inclusive of 5kg of rice each time,? |
stebell:Is this not the dumbest question ever? How many men from your village ever hold their wife's hand ever in public in their life time, including you? |
joeyekembele:There are more core north and Muslims inside PDP as in APC. Can you list national officials of PDP and where they come from please? |
kdjd:Wow! For someone that you probably knew only through reading about him or seeing him on TV? This your energy of hating someone you don't know and does not know your existence, can make you are very comfortable happy person, intellectual person if you are to channels it into positive personal thing in your life. |
lawanson44:What is wrong in rearing cattle? Most of you are just ignorant. Only in Nigeria that farming is derided. But go to developed nations, farmers are not only respected but very rich people. I wonder if you eat your computer on Sunday afternoons? And make sure you slaughter your C++ certificates on the Christmas day to eat. |
major466:One was an ordinary teachers called lecturer in a University, of which, no one knew his ex students except Patience Jonathan. And the other, a total bi-product of Nigeria bureaucracy. Very little to choose from apart from, maybe their personal integrities. |
olatunji21:So he has nothing worth mentioning until 2003? Under vacant and undeveloped plots, theHe must be an expert in savings, because how he managed to have saved all the money to acquire all these within four years is a miracle. While before that, absolutely nothing. And he valued a piece of land in Otueke village at over 55 million. Even the same size land in Onitsha cannot match such a ridiculous value. The Vice president’s investment in stocksJonathan gets more gifts than Oxfam, Salvation army and UNICEF put together. His middle name should be DONATUS with the amount of cash even a BMW donated to him. For a public servant to be receiving cash and kind gift is an undiluted corruption. If this is a sample of what they call an asset declaration in Nigeria, then it is purely a nonsensical exercise to me. |
nationwide1:I didn't know that they were brothers? Same mum or dad? |
Can you check again op. Did you say that GEJ spent 8-9 years in primary school education? Again, are you saying that Jonathan started primary school at the age of 4? That may be an error because in those days, the age to start primary education in the East was 6 years, except if your parents are very rich or influential and can use their influence to start you at 5 at least. After the war, some kids started school even at 10 because there were more kids than schools place availability. |
donmalcolm21:Army training at Aldershot is regarded all over the world as the Oxford or Harvard of the military. It's very much equivalent to a University degree. |
![]() A call to duty indeed. |
tempest01:I don't know what his manisfesto are as one ever win or govern Nigeria based on their manifesto if you are honest. If Buhari or any other person can cub corruption even by half, more than half of Nigeria problem will be solved. The main reason why corruption is difficult to tackle is solely because of lack of examplary person at pinnacle of power. A president who is allergic to corruption will make it absolutely impossible to go that way because the minister knew his faith if caught. Not shielding him. No one will have the moral to fight over something those he wants to fight knew he was a pioneer actor. When a leader sets an example, it trickled down the command chain. Buhari or any other person cannot wipe out corruption but some one need to set the tone for the future and if you are corrupt, you cannot do that, that is why OBJ and GEJ failed. And note: corruption is not purely about naira and kobo, but behaviour and attitudes rapped impunity. |
atlwireles:So if they support Wike because he is Ikwerre, not because he is intelligent with progressive programs, what is Ikwerre than calling other groups in Rivers State, mo.rons? Use your brains people. One tree cannot make a forest. |
noblezone:Why read between the lines when I can read between the words? Am telling you that this sentiment that because Buhari is the candidate of APC, so that makes them a northern party and PDP is the southern party, is the most nonsensical invention I have ever heard within this Nigeria politics. When people like you started calling the likes of Amaechi, Ngige or Rochas names, as sell out, why complain if a northern bigot do the same for any northern person that supports Jonathan? In reality, as things stands now, PDP is even more northern in its structure than their APC counterparts. Do you think northerners should start referring northern diehard supporters of Jonathan as sell outs too? That is why I asked you to keep you feelings personal and not public, because you are not doing Jonathan any favours. Jonathan himself was a fool not to have stopped the likes of Okupe and Abati painting his presidency that way, unless he planned to rig the election again? It might cost him. Because northerners that are even around him may decide to work against him behind his back as nothing stopped them jumping the ship if he is to lose. You really think that the likes of Gov Aliyu or Lamido are working for his re-election wholeheartedly this time as they did in 2011? Especially as theirs own positions are at stake in 2011 In 2011 they worked solely for their own interests to stop any sort of CPC momentum which could drag them along. Most of them in PDP both north and south will jump ship even few weeks after this election if they lose and the same for some APC members if Jonathan got re-elected. Political party is just a platform for most of them and nothing more. |
noblezone:So tell me the difference between you now and that deputy governor? Jonathan downfall is maybe at the door step of many of you. When you kept referring Jonathan opponent as a jihadist because he is a Moslem, how do you expect the same Moslems to vote for Christian Jonathan? If you kept telling northerners that they illiterates, cattle rearing bunch, mallams, almajiri etc, how in turn do expect them to vote a southern person who thinks he is better than them? When you amuse yourselves that somehow, PDP is a southern party and APC is a northern party and maligned southerners in APC as sell outs in multiple ethnic society, how do expect Northerners to view PDP otherwise? When you kept telling the world that Buhari will not get 1% in SE/SS how on earth do you find it surprising when a northern bigoted person said the same about Jonathan towards northern votes? There is nothing southern about PDP neither anything that made APC northern just because of the presidential candidates ethnicities Keep all these your feelings to yourselves and stop blabbering it, as you may be doing Jonathan a disservice if northerners are reading all these things. |
yungryce:There is noo need for your news flash, cos am in the least or nowhere interested on who you voted for last 2011. Even if you voted Dele Momudu, that is the least of my problems. Am only saying to you that that at least you got few weeks for you to get to know the guy, if that was your objective or even subjective concern. Experience is a plus in any job but not overly important. How does one gathers experience if they never get the opportunity to do the job? Experience comes from work. |
chukwudi44:And you conducted the census? |
PhockPhockMan:This use and dump seems to be the new trending words. Only a fool allowed himself to be used in the first place before the talk of being dumped. |
PhockPhockMan:Excited, really for the most meaningless position in Nigeria politics? What does a deputy do? Who is Amaechi's deputy now? What about Odili, who was his deputy? How many deputy governors will succeed their governors come this February? That's what you are excited about? |
I laughed again. I thought Olisa Metuh wanted an issue based election campaign? But since then, never stopped peering into the bedroom of the other side. Why can't he concentrate on the positives of his own ticket. This could be the most unintelligent and unarticulated statement I have ever read as it doesn't make sort of sense. Why would how many days it took to choose a vice be of any issue? How long did it take OBJ to choose GEJ for Yar Adua? How many months did it take Jonathan to acknowledge what an unborn knew, that he is running in 2015? But somewhat has problems with someone else 6 days before choosing, in a coalition arrangement? Hilarious. |
ochejagabriel:We need all these might at Sambisa forest, they are not for election. |
yungryce:It depends on how you define ignorance. You have from now till February to know this guy if that was your concern (not knowing him). I agreed with you that you shouldn't continue to act in ignorance because as you said it does matter, but in the same breath, I can vouch that you probably was ignorant about Sambo in 2011 and even now. |
yungryce:Don't be a hypocrite, what do you know about Sambo in 2011 before you voted for his ticket and do you even know anything about him now in 2014? In Nigerian political context, VP and deputy governorship positions, absolutely meant nothing. Even a powerful Atiku tried to make it relevant but was cut down by OBJ. If Yar Adua had lived, do you think Jonathan would had succeeded him? If this ticket win, will this guy succeed Buhari too, not in a million years, that is, unless Yar Adua-Jonathan scenario happened again. (highly unlikely) If Jonathan and Sambo ticket was to succeed, will Sambo succeed Jonathan? I don't think so either. How many deputy governors now will be succeeding their governors next year? That is why people shouting about Amaechi being dumped knows nothing about politics of Nigeria. Amaechi is better off on the wing for other positions than being a VP. If you doubt me, ask Alex Ekwueme. |
manck2:I bet that just like me, you haven't even heard that this guy existed, just two weeks ago but now you are ready to write a book about him. ![]() All because of politics. |
ibson99:You should say that the guy is relatively unknown, not unpopular. Unpopular is someone well known in the domain but doesn't have followership. |
Their excuse for rejecting the bill is very logical and can be understood. But it point to the 6 years Jonathan was in power and never made any attempt in restructuring Nigeria especially towards the issue of resources control. If there was resources control who needs to be recognized as an crude oil producing state because there no such debate about palm oil producing states. What happened to his conference? |
![]() Gosh this picture is so funny. Buhari can dwarf anyone anyway. Nigerian politics is just a comedy central. Never fail to disappoint. |
PerfumeRepublik:In Nigeria no one dies without being killed, even walking corpses, health wise. |
There is nothing wrong about finance minister presenting details of the budget she articulated. |
ceejay80s: ![]() They are not voting for PDP but Jonathan. I still recalled that sales pitch. How time flies. |
So who did Mimiko voted for in 2011? as I cannot remember any Labour party candidate in 2011. |
Funniez:Some of you guys a very transparent. So it now Buhari/Rochas that will do it for you? ![]() Given that same ticket, you will find a way to find a hole in it. There is no crime, neither do you owe anyone apology if Jonathan is your preferred choice. But some of you should stop insulting our intelligent with your known unrealistic choices for an excuse. |
