profjustine:Yar Adua was chronically ill, Buhari looks 20 years younger than his age and seems very fit. Yar Adua died despite being relatively young, so it's not about age that determines your time of death. In fact the average dying age in Nigeria is 45. |
What is they change their name, what will happen to your your so called identity? |
Dear Mr Okupe. I think that an average person knows what treason or mutiny means and also understood when they are encouraged or committed. |
chukwudi44: Wow!,That's your scientific way of explaining it? You guys cracks me up at times. How you can, even with a straight face explains the importation of snow into Saudi Arabia. |
I found out this fact over 30 years ago and never celebrated Christmas ever again as a Christian, especially when I asked a bishop here in England about it and he admitted that it's true but what matters was we got to choose a day to have fun and celebrate his birth was his response. No one has ever allowed a random date chosen as theirs birthday by someone else who want to have fun without even consulting the person. It was a shocking response for me, that for centuries, many had believed this as fact only to find out that the Romans just made it up and changed a pagan celebration into Christ birthday. A celebration Christ himself never did neither his followers through out the first century until the Roman pagans executed the real Christians and hijacked the faith as the super power of the time. Now I do not even go to any church because it seems most of there teaching are not scripturally based but old medieval European cultures. And the Evangelical ones only preach materialism and circular nonsensical thing and all things centered around celebrity figure of the owner calling himself or herself man of God. I might try Jehovah' s Witnesses. They seemed to be very different from others from what I can see about them over the years. |
chukwudi44:So in your opinion, every one vote by their religion? ![]() Did some of you know the full implications of this ethic and religious politics for Jonathan if those in the north carry the same sentiment? |
atlwireles:Mr Connected: Why would he win Kwara and lost Katsina or Kano? ![]() |
Nigeria and their wasteful rulers has not seen anything yet. Wait till they discover how to power anything using water. |
chukwudi44:Bakare wasn't a politician and just like Osinbajo, both has no political clout or fellowship or money needed for Nigeria cash and carry politics. The difference in 2015 to Bakari of 2011 being that Osinbajo is the candidate of the establishment, they will do anything for him to succeed because of the personal and general interests of those that nominated him. Only diehard ACN supporters bothered voting for Ribadu knowing he got no chance of winning in 2011. Tinubu and his group wanted coalition with CPC and as pre conditions, they wanted Buhari to substitute Bakare for their own choice of VP in 2011. However, Buhari refused because he said that he cannot go back on his own words with Bakare. Tinubu and co then went to Aso Rock and struck a deal with Jonathan. Even many elements within the PDP met Buhari in Lagos asking him to take Okonjo Iwuala as VP and they will switch their support and money to him and again, he refused, believing that he can do it alone. A former governor in the South East who was in ACN in 2011 told me this in 2012, I never believed him until I read Bakare's interview recently and both accounts were exactly the same. All these guys are all the same, they want power or close to power. I think, Buhari has finally realized that fact. That's why he now agree on anything his party says, because his past tactics does not win elections in Nigeria. That's why his supporters may be disappointed if he wins because he is no longer the same Buhari of high integrity. |
Whoever made the above predictions is either been smoking what he shouldn't or in some sort utopian paradise. Even the most diehard APC member will laugh at his fantasy. |
ajoguegbe:If all the Christians vote Jonathan and all the Moslems voted Buhari including Sambo. What will the result be? And what is the connection between Otedola and Buhari story of yours? People like you are making Jonathan chances more difficult. |
I thought Jimi Agbaje was meant to choose Igbo person as his deputy? So why were they so sure of Igbo vote before in the context of Nigerian sectional politics? |
oshyno:And where is Mbu now? Where was your military, police, NCSD and Customs when you needed them at Sambisa forest? |
ndcide:Don't be so sure. If this election is rigged as in 2011, there is no guarantee that it won't happen again. Election rigging anywhere create violence. We have seen that in Kenya, Ivory Coast. It was the 60s election rigging in the West that laid the seed that led to the coup, counter coup, the igbo civilian massacres and finally the civil war. |
noblezone:I want Biafra more than you but if you think that rigging an election is how we want it, you are totally wrong. The day Biafra will be realized, it will caught everyone by surprise but not on the altar of election rigging. |
I understood what Amaechi is talking about. Don't forget that he was among the inner circle of the PDP who knows how election are won by magic figures. He was there when 98% voters turnout was realized and how that impossibility was achieved. Because we all know that PDP apart from the 1999 do not believe in one man one vote especially in presidential election. Their theory has always been: Rig yourself in first and let the victim go to court for God knows period of time, where he got no chance after they removed Salami. People like Amaechi, Silver, Umana, Rochas, Saraki etc must have told their new convenient friends what happened in 2011. If you are in doubt, go and rewatch that film of a lady caught on camera thump printing a whole ballot box content by herself in Rivers State in 2011 but the election still stood. If opposition has any chance in any African election, they should be willing and able to match the ruling party pound for pound on everything. Good guys do not win elections in Nigeria. Rochas was able to match PDP for whatever they come up with in 2011 especially in Oguta and Ngor Okpala. While Fayemi was no match to Fayose and he lost. If they give chicken- Give a turkey. If they give 5kg of rice- Double it If they brought 100 thugs- mobilize 150 If they snatch 1 ballot box- Snatch 4 If they give INEC official naira- Match it with dollarsand Pounds sterling. If they present one agent- Double yours. PDP is like NPN of the old days. They don't believe in free election, even when they are the only candidate. |
donmalcolm21:The biggest act of blood spillage is rigging election. You think that your god will take so kind to those that take what does not belong to them? And expect you to go to court where they buy the judges. The only judge (salami) who had the gut to be able to led others to upturn rigged results, they blackmailed him and forced him out of work. |
menabadoo:You have to be a bit more realistic. 1. CPC isn't APC. CPC has no single incumbent governor with their cash in 2011, how many governors has APC got in 2015? 2.CPC has no real polling agents in the SE/SS in 2011, but in 2015; they are capable of fielding loyal agents in every single polling station because they can afford it. 3. Whether we like it or not, politicians like Amaechi , Rochas, Umana whose futures are endangered, won't be a push over and are ready to fight dirty if need be. They all worked for Jonathan last time and today they are for his opponent even to prove a point. 4. In places like Kaduna, people like El Rufai were not there in 2011 and in 2015, not only they are there, they got stakes too. 5. Places like Kwara last time was all PDP, this time the reverse is the case with Saraki and his gang with a huge stake. 6. APC are now incumbent in places like Nassarawa unlike in 2015. 7. In the south West, in 2011 the big boys like Tinubu weren't interesting after meeting with GEJ and never bothered to work hard for Ribadu, except the Osun governor, hence Ribadu's good showing in Osun. But this time, they all have a huge stake to fight for and protect. 8. In Kano, the Lamido and Kwakwaso effects was not there in 2011. 9. In Anambra, the present governor is not as keen as Peter Obi was in 2011, using the state apparatus to work for GEJ. 10. As an incumbent, you made enemies, disappointed many, let down some expectations compared to your first election. So Jonathan is more likely to lose the vote of those that voted for him in 2011 than Buhari losing those of his own 2015. It's a normal logic. These are some of the factors you will consider. If this election is even relatively free and fair. The outcome is very evenly balanced for both candidates in my opinion. |
sirugos:Sorry, let's just leave it at that. Nothing personal, I just love my privacy. I hope you understood and not offended? Well, we are both old boys of the same school. Small world. In the 80s I bought the a beautiful yellow/white set of Adidas football jersey for their senior team, that was the last time I was there at BSC. |
sirugos:Am from Orlu zone local council but not from Eziachi. My best friend at Bishop Shanahan college in them days was from Eziachi. We both enrolled into the Biafra army the same day and was posted to the same division. We were side by side when he was killed at Ogoja. I was the one that has to tell his mum (a widow) that he won't be coming home at the end of the war when I made it home because no one told her officially. The guilt I felt being alive and telling her that her's isn't, has always haunted me. He was two years older than me. |
Billyonaire:Gosh! You've changed your tone? So an even older guy is now tested and can be trusted all of a sudden? ![]() I thought you are allergic to older person in political responsibility? Ali of a'll people can be trusted just for your convenient? This is not even funny but I cannot help it, honestly. |
sirugos:Congratulations, some good news at last. I hoped you have had some good night sleeps before hand because it's going to be very rare commodity now, unless you will be a typical old fashioned Nigeria dad. Hope not. All the best to you and your madam. |
Am not a Yoruba, but as an Igbo man I must say that am embarrassed with new trend of giving the masses a little gesture of tin of milk there and a cup of sugar there recently. This is not how social welfare is done if this is what it was all about. Make and organized a way people can be paid any sum either weekly or monthly and make it legal through a statute. People can then use their money to buy whatever they want, not Fayose with camera on one hand spoon feeding a couple of people with the other hand and now some hungry looking law enforcement officials. Police should be one of the front image of every nation but here being embarrassed in front of the world by some politician handing out some chicken to them. He should as well buy them the pot to cook it. Give them salt and pepper too. I was told Ekiti has more population of professors than one can count on this forum by Yorubas. So does the personality of Fayose reflects that? |
So it's 30 billion this hour? Few hours ago Princewill claims that it $800 million and just yesterday, Wike claims that it was 19 billion. Figures has really developed wings. |
Sibabasibaba1:If you been reading what I had been saying, then you should not be asking about the above. How many times did I say to you about the role Abiola played in the overthrow of Shagari's government after they told him, the presidency wasn't for sale? So what is your point? Why shouldn't he mind New York Times? Because the link burst your lies? Buhari expelled foreigners from Nigeria. Fact. Your argument should be whether the foreigners were legitimately expelled or not. It is such true lies of Buhari supporters that make me detest their character. Why should he mind New York Times? What happens to Nigeria daily Times, Tribune, Chronicles, Champion or Standard+? So when an American wanted an authentic history of his country, his first port of call would be quoting an article (not a news report) written inside Vanguard Nigeria? Am telling you what many of us lived with when it happens and you are quoting New York Times to me. I don't even get this argument of Buhari expelling illegal immigrants. When does that became a bad thing for any government to do, when civilized society like Britain runs a detention centre for illegal immigrants? I still don't see the merits of this illegal immigrants saga now or you guys has nothing else negative to say about Buhari, and you decided to invent a non event to keep fire burning? |
$800 million? Wow! if this APC was a lady, she must be a very high maintainance lady to take care of or fund, as last week, Wike said it was 19 billion. ![]() How is he, Princewill funding his own campaign/party? If he was patient even after the 2011, he would had probably been the APC candidate in Rivers State this time, but his penchant for changing party like underwear is his undoing each election season. |
Amanwulu1:This government set up an enquiry led by a retired judge to find out what happened after the election and their report was submitted to Jonathan after they concluded with their findings, where was that report's white paper till date? Who were governors in the north after that election, is it not mostly PDP governors? who supposed to have won popular votes, where are they and their teeming supporters when the minority was rioting? What was governor of Bauchi's response to the death of some corpers in his State and what party does he belong to? But you are claiming that Buhari that was in Daura was responsible? Let me not remind u dat he truncated democracy, meted out injustice n has lost touch wit modern day governance since 29yrs ago? Dose who do dis are dey not fools? So he woke up one morning, brushed his teeth and went to the Dodan barrack and truncated your democracy all by himself? I have heard you say that David Mark truncated democracy or try to remind yourself first. During that truncating of your democracy, who were the Ministers, Commissoners, Special advisers, local government chairmen, is it not the same politicians, he supposed to have truncated? Where was the judiciary and the judges? Where was Nigerians whose government he supposed to have truncated? |
Collynzo22:Please do not insult Mr Chukwuma the Innoson guy by attributing his achievement to any Nigerian government policy. Even a simple gesture of using Innoson SUV cars as official car especially when abroad, can Jonathan do that? Innoson has been around for God knows how many years, planning, hardworking even when Jonathan was still a school teacher. So what you are seeing now is not one of Jonathan's or OBJ'd overnight rich people but product of many years of hardwork and visionary business plan. |
This guys is really as his critics said. If Nigeria is a place where whatever you say is scrutinized during the election, this statement alone can cause him the election. But what do I know, when even his victims will start defending him in the next seconds. Your have created few crooked millionaires and created millions of hungryniers in the same process. |
Yes we heard you man of god. But if Jonathan is to arrive at his church tomorrow, he will surely treat him better than Jesus. But very good essay though. |
Onyiridike:I don't know whether you have actually ran a real business, because if you had, you won't have the same sentiment as above. Yes a manager who had managed small, medium size and huge business in his CV is not good enough for you, so what sort of manager are you looking for? When you came out of school how many years of job experience did you have before your were given a chance of a job? David Cameron was an ordinary backbencher before he became the prime minister of world 4th biggest economy. If we are to based it on your argument, many people both in public and private sectors all over the world should not be doing the jobs they now occupies, thats including Barrack Obama. |
