CelebritiesJim Iyke Praises Timaya, Says He Is A Smart Real Estate Investor by fabinfos(op): 9:34am On Jun 09, 2018
Two top Nigerian entertainers have come out as friends.

Jim Iyke recently revealed to The Entertainer why he always calls Timaya his brother.

Only a few artistes in the Nigerian entertainment Industry can openly single out a colleague as their bestie, that is why the relationship between Jim Iyke and Timaya is often misunderstood.

See how Jim showed encomium on Timaya in a recent telephone chat with The Entertainer.

“Timaya and I are kindred. He is one of the most open-hearted and kindest people I have seen. To love Timaya is easy and he is like the brother I don’t have. Anyone that is in your life and tells you things the way they are, it is easy to love that person. It is when you are afraid of criticism that you cannot make friends with Timaya because when I go wrong, I ask him if I made the right move and he tells me the truth that I did not act right and that I messed up. When I am getting things right and people are criticising me, he tells me that I am doing the right thing. If you look through his history, he is the most consistent artiste of all time.

“He is the most consistent with every tide, trend, competition and level he meets it and surpasses it. People may never term him the number one in the industry but how many people can remain relevant in the entertainment industry for almost 12 years? Why would I not want to be friends with such a person? It is the same thing with me. Timaya understands the business I do, he loves it, calls me sometimes about some of my business moves and I am always happy to explain them to him. We call each other to share business ideas. For instance, if he buys a property and begins to build a house on it, I would ask him the reason behind the business move and he would explain.

Timaya is someone that could call me to inform me about a landed property and predict the value of that property in five years and he is always right. Even when I am skeptical to buy the property, he would tell me that he would buy it but I would refund his money and that is what he would do. If a business idea also springs up from my side, I call him to inform him about it; if he is wasting time, I would buy it for him because I know how I would get my money back”.

CrimeCourt Declares Oyo Judge Biological Son Of Ex-western Premier, Ladoke Akintola by fabinfos(op): 6:58am On Jun 01, 2018
Justice Aderonke Aderemi of Oyo State High Court on Thursday granted the prayers of an Oyo state judge, Justice Ladiran Akintola, by declaring him a biological son of former Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola.

Aderemi, in her ruling, also held that Akintola is entitled to a share of the estate of the ex-Premier, an indigene of Ogbomoso in Oyo State.

Akintola, approached the court by filing a suit against his half siblings; Chief Abayomi Akintola and Dr. Abimbola Akintola, asking the court to declare the letter of administration used by his siblings and the one earlier given to his stepmother, Late Faderera Akintola as null and void.

Aderemi, while delivering a judgment which lasted for about three hours in the suit which had earlier been heard before Justice S.A. Akinteye and Justice N.A. Esan, held that Justice Akintola had sufficient evidence in the matter and entered judgment in his favour.

She then declared as null and void the letter of administration issued in 1968 on the estate of late S.L Akintola by the Western Nigeria High Court of Justice under Faderera Akintola and Abayomi Akintola on the ground that it was obtained by fraud and concealment of interest in a manner that is inimical and discriminatory against the plaintiff.

Aderemi further declared as null and void the letter of administration issued in October 2007 on the estate of Late S.L Akintola by the Oyo State High Court of Justice under Abayomi Akintola and Abimbola Akintola on the ground that it was obtained by fraud and concealment of interest in a manner that is inimical and discriminatory against the plaintiff.

She held that Justice Ladiran Akintola and the claimant’s six witnesses have led enough evidence to his paternity and ruled that he is the biological son of late S.L. Akintola and is therefore entitled to a share of his estate.

The judge further ordered that the two letters of administration declared null and void is immediately revoked and ordered that the Administrator General of Oyo state take up the management of the S.L Akintola estate until a fresh letter of administration that covers all the three children is issued.

Further, she mandated that the detailed account of the estate be submitted within a month of the judgment and gave an order of perpetual injunction restraining Abayomi and Abimbola Akintola from administering the estate of S.L. Akintola or undertaking any activity on behalf of the estate until the new letter of administration is issued.

In the course of the trial, the defendants had filed a Notice of Preliminary Objection asking for an order dismissing the suit on the ground of Section 17 of the Limitations Law of Oyo state, and arguing that the time prescribed by law to contest the estate of a deceased had lapsed as the case was filed 47 years after the death of their father contrary to the 10 years provided by law.

However, in determining the issue, Justice Aderemi noted that the defendants did not plead statute of limitation anywhere in their defense and held that, “defendants are not entitled to rely on facts not stated in their defense before the court. The defendants cannot be allowed to plead issues outside the ones clearly stated before the court”.

On the issue that Justice Ladiran does not have the locus standi to sue as a beneficiary in the matter of the estate, the court also ruled that he had locus standi.

The court further held that the refusal of the first defendant to testify after the defense had opened its case is tantamount to an admission of the claimant’s allegation, adding that it is wrong for the defense to withhold a proof that it had earlier said it had, even when the claimant asked for same.

CrimeMother Of Missing Baby Narrates How Nurse, Woman Stole Her Baby In Kogi [PHOTOS] by fabinfos(op): 5:21pm On May 31, 2018
The mother of a new born baby who got missing shortly after delivery at Peniel Maternity and Clinic, popularly known as (Mummy’s hospital) in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Mrs Laruba Drisu, has accused the nurse on duty (when the child was born), Rebecca Amina Sanni, of masterminding the sudden disappearance of her baby.

The incident happened on Sunday, 28th May, 2018 and the child is yet to be found.

The aggrieved mother of four who spoke to DAILY POST in her village, Okafaga (II) in Ofu Local Government Area of the State, said she will not give up until her missing daughter is found.

Mrs Drisu alleged that the body language of the suspected nurse showed that Miss Rebecca knew the woman that stole her baby from the maternity.

According to her, the suspected thief was a female dressed in hijab.

Mrs Drisu said, “On Sunday, I was caught up with labour at about 7am. Me and my husband went to the hospital and it was confirmed that it was time for me to give birth. When my husband went home to bring some of our belonging needed for my delivery, I have already given birth.

“When I deliver, it was Mummys (proprietress of the maternity) cloth that was used to wrap my baby. When my husband came back with his mother to the hospital, he was very happy to see our new born baby.

“After delivery, I noticed that I started bleeding. So mummy checked me and gave me injection. Later, she put drip on my body before the bleeding subsided. When the bleeding subsided, mummy told the nurse ( Rebecca) on duty that it was because the baby was big that was the reason for my bleeding.

“So mummy told the nurse to look after me and the baby so that she could go and have her bath since all her body was soaked with blood. When mummy left the room, she did not carry bucket . When mummy left there, the nurse checked me as instructed.

“In the process of checking me, she told me that I should turn back so that she could clean the blood. When I turned back, the nurse went inside the room where my baby was lying down. My room is different from my baby’s room. When I turned back, I saw a woman entering inside the room were my baby was kept, wearing black Hijab and the nurse was inside the room with the baby.

“Since I wasn’t having much strength after losing so much blood, I thought it was a woman who wanted to speak with the nurse when she was inside. Few minutes later, I heard my daughter was nowhere to be found. When we discovered that the baby was missing, my mother in-law who the nurse sent on an errant alongside my husband asked her about my baby but she could not give any explanation.

“She told my mother in-law that she should go to the room where the new born baby was kept or can’t she recognise her own baby? My mother in-law ran to the room and discovered that all the new born babies that were there had been dressed. She told the nurse that her granddaughter was no longer in the room. Immediately she responded to my mother in-law saying, ”the woman that came with her wearing black hijab took the baby.

“She told the nurse that it was only her and her son that came to the hospital. My mother in-law started shouting when they could not find the baby. When my mother in-law and mummy started shouting overthe missing baby, Miss Rebecca was still inside relaxing. She was just pretending as if nothing was happening.”

“My husband’s sister also asked her of the whereabouts of my child and she responded that nobody should ask her anything. She started abusing my mother in-law and my sister in-law before she was arrested by the police.”

When asked if she saw the suspected woman with hijab coming out of the room with her baby, the resentful mother who according to DAILY POST findings gave birth to her two other kids all less than four years old in the same hospital where the incident occurred responded by saying,” I did not see the women with Hijab when she was coming out of the room but I saw her when she was going in.

“I was very unconscious so suspecting anything at that time will be difficult. It has never happened in this place before. All I want right now is my baby and nothing more. Let the nurse give me my baby. I suffered for nine good month carrying this child. She knows the woman that took my baby, so let her call her and let ey have my baby”.

Also speaking about the sad incident, the father of the missing child, Damudi Drisu added, “On Sunday, my wife met me and she complained of stomach pain. Immediately, I assumed that it was time for her delivery, so she picked one of her cloths and we went to the hospital.

“When we get to the hospital, mummy checked my wife and confirmed that it was time for her delivery. She told me to go home and get some of the baby clothing. Immediately I came back, my wife had delivered and I handed over everything they demanded for at the hospital.

“The nurse on duty, Miss Rebecca now called me and she started telling me that the thing they used when my wife was under labour, I should go and buy it. But I responded that, it was Sunday so I won’t be able to get it that day since it wasn’t week days and many shops were closed. I begged her by lying down so that she could see reasons with me. I understood that what she said I should replace in the hospital that was used for my wife during child birth cost N1500. Since I was very happy over the successful delivery of my wife, I gave her N2000 to buy what was used from the hospital on Monday.

“But she refused to collect the money from me and she sent me out to get those stuff after refusing to accept my appeal, that was the same way she sent my mother out. She told my mum to go out and look for hot water for the baby. When I came back, I was told that my child was missing. I asked the nurse where my baby was, and she told me that she could no longer find the baby. ”

Mr Drisu while demanding for justice also insist that the suspected nurse knows the whereabout of his missing child.

Meanwhile, the daughter to the proprietress of Peniel Maternity and Clinic, Mrs Yusuf Victoria while expressing sadness on the incident noted that the hospital since its establishment had maintained standard in health practices.

She confirmed that her mother had been under the custody of the Nigeria Police since the incident took place four days ago.

Mrs Yusuf , however, countered some of the claims of the complainants.

According to her, ” The patient delivered at about 9:03am. So within nine and ten that was when we noticed that the baby is missing. Before the incident happened, it was noticed by some people in the hospital that they saw somebody but was not known to the management familiarizing herself with people at the hospital.

” She later went in there to greet the mother that delivered the baby. So after greeting her, she communicated with her and they exchange good relationship. The proprietress went inside to record her delivery and left the patient with her baby inside to rest before transferring her to the other ward.

“We learnt that the suspected baby thief wearing hijab greeted the mother of the missing baby and she responded before heading to the room where the baby was lying down. When this was happening, the mother failed to raise alarm.

” All she could tell us was that, she saw that woman wearing long hijab. It was when we came back to check on her that we now noticed that the baby has been stolen. We started raising alarm, shouting whether we could see the person but all to no avail.

” We have 100 percent security both day and night. That day was Sunday, we gave our security officer little time to go and worship because his church is a stone throw from the maternity. We never had this issue before so we thought it was normal, so we gave our security officer the permission to go and worship.

” We have never had any rough situation like this before. On that day, the woman whose child is missing was the only one that had normal delivery while the other two didn’t have normal delivery. Up till now that I’m taking to you, all others that gave birth in our hospital on Sunday are still with us and their babies are intact.”

DAILY POST findings, however, revealed that the prime suspect, Rebecca Amina Sanni was employed into the maternity about two months ago.

Also at the maternity, our correspondent gathered that the ward where the baby was stolen and that of the mother still remains vacant as at the time of filing this report.

It was further gathered that, in other labour wards, two women that delivered on the same day the baby was stolen are still receiving medication from the maternity.

Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relation Officer, Asp William Aya said the case has been transferred to the force headquarter as the prime suspect Rebecca Amina Sanni and the proprietress are currently under their custody.

Peniel Maternity and Clinic popularly known as (Mummy’s hospital) Anyigba in Dekina LGA – Kogi State was established in May 2015.

CelebritiesSinzu: “I Wrote Over 300 Songs In Jail…” by fabinfos(op): 12:11pm On May 31, 2018
We’ve heard of different people going to jail and how much of their life gets wasted while locked up, but it seems the story is not same for Nigerian rapper, SauceKid, popularly known as Sinzu, who just returned to the Nigerian music industry after spending two years in Jail.

The rapper revealed that while things are no longer the same in the Nigerian music industry, Jail hasn’t been all that bad, truth is, Jail has actually been quite productive.

The singer stated this in an interview with Ovie on NotjustOkTV, saying that his to years in jail hasn’t been that much of a waste of time as he had invested every time he had in his music and writing great songs.

Opening up about his experience in jail, Sinzu stated that the experience has been quite a humbling one with him working in Jail and being paid $16 per month. But not dwelling on the financial rewards in prison, the rapper had focused on his craft, telling us that in the first year in prison, he wrote over one hundred and eighty songs and over one hundred and twenty songs in the next year, hence in the 20 months he spent in prison, he wrote over three hundred songs and has recorded about 17! (19:30-20:25).

That is a lot of songs to last a long while.

He went on to state that he can presently release about five songs if he wants but then we know with his new deal with Davido, we are definitely going to be hearing the rapper’s track sooner than we think.

He further revealed that he’s planning on working with FalztheBahdguy and can’t wait to hear what they sound like together. We can’t wait too!
