juniorsworld:I am sorry about how you feel. But what you call false hope is actually "waiting", and waiting comes with uncertainties. Yet it doesn't mean what you want will not happen. You just have to wait more until it finally happens. That's better than giving up, considering all the sacrifices you have made. |
Curious2020:How do you raise the deficit? Apply to the 11 schools that offer application fee waivers. No do pass your power. 11 schools are more than enough for you, considering the fact that you're going to settle for just 1 school at the end of the day. Most applicants going for undergraduate degree apply to 3-6 schools at most. 11 is just more than enough. If you insist you must apply to 20 schools, sit down and plan how to raise the application fees for the remaining schools. All the best! |
No need to rush anything, so you'll not make expensive mistakes that you jeopardize your chances. They just opened the site, and I am sure that before the end of the day, those who need dates will be able to book. The 6-day slots are more than enough for all F, J & M applicants in Nigeria. I am sure that during normal operational hours, the U.S embassy interviews more than 100 applicants per day. So, if that figure is close, that is like 600 F, M, J applicants for the entire slots. Guys, all of you will have date! Relax. Also, I think they only want to interview in Lagos, which I think is fine. If date is not showing on your appointment-scheduling profile yet, give it time, or wait 7PM or tomorrow. The dates will not finish. |
OtemAtum:Yet, Jehovah still love you, because He designed you by His very own Hands. How marvellous!!! There's nothing you can say to bring His wrath on you. At the end of the day, you will see His Hands in your life, starting from today. And you will live to talk about His power, not against Him. Amen ![]() |
Friedpotato:solihp has been there before, so I believe she's telling you from personal experience that worked for her as for everyone else. So, go ahead. Have you made specific travelling plan? No. Once you choose that option, another column will show asking for information on when you'd like to travel/arrival date. Just select a date up to 1 week to your program start date (as on the i-20) there. 1 week should be enough to settle down before class starts. All the best. |
solastar2:Your school used SEVIS-designated term for your program on the I-20. It's not always the term used by your school for its programs. "Engineering, General" is the available term in the SEVIS system, and under which "Chemical Engineering sit. Fill in the DSFORM the program you're admitted for: Chemical Engineering. During the interview, give your response around Chemical Engineering, the Consular will understand. |
Shuayb0:You can fill another form, but make sure the new dsform ID is updated on the appointment-scheduling site. |
Sharon8:Your school in the US. This means you have to get updated i-20 for the admission term you've been admitted, let's say Spring 2021 or Fall 2021. Contact your school. |
Pefuele:Exactly what I was saying; I see things differently and I have to, because life and things have many colours, and people see these colours from different angle. It is people who idiotically assume that they're better than others that want everybody else to shift their views and bend to them. I think this guy has phychosis and obsessive urge to bully people online, and make fun out of it. A married man who has a healthy social life and mingle with diverse people from different backgrounds would never be comfortable attacking people's views here and there on the internet. |
TWoods:Indeed, the education you received was a waste of precious resources that the school and your parents should have invested on someone else. For you to have reached that conclusion about a person you do not know says a lot about your personality. It's obvious you're a choleric, and you see the world in your own way and wants to force everybody else to see it that way. It's a pity your parents did not inculcate in you how to be a fair and reasonable adult. Don't forget: You are nobody to dictate how to see things! I will not stoop to your level and use any more words on you. Keep being the bully that you are. |
TWoods:You're just an ignorant person. I wonder what type of education you recived from the U.S! That post was almost 2 months old. We have all moved on from it, and I was only clarifying on a subject, and the original commenter did not object. It was brought up by the user who said he needed help. Must you ignorantly object to whatever I write that you did not like? Se won ran e simi ni? I have warned you several times to avoid me on this thread. We are two different people with different views on certain things. You're nobody to puzzle on my comments, and it is none of my business however you feel. Deal with you idiotic manner! I am not here to please you or share views that matches your own. The same avoidance on posts you were advising me with could have been followed if you're an intelligent person. You simply never need to mention me or quote me on this thread, never ever. Avoid me, okay? The distance between me and you is as far as the West is from the East. Please stay away from mentioning me. The next time you do it, I am going to use some very strong words on you! |
Ozmar:Hmm! They have been many people, especially from this thread, some of which I am no no longer in touch with since they got their visas in 2019. There are currently two ladies on this thread that are bank branch managers and head of her bank department. For privacy reasons, I cannot mention their usernames, but if you tell me what you need help with, I can ask them if they can help. What do you need help with? |
Zzor: ![]() |
tmphoto:I think you have not been following up. You need to read other pages of this thread to grasp things. Since I have some minutes here, let's see. 1, take your international passport to GTB to make the visa payment. They will tell you how much is it when you get there. Indicate you are paying for Academic, F1. 2a, Fill DS160 according to where and how it applies to you. Print a copy of your application for your record. 2b, Create account on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?country=Nigeria 3, SEVIS FEE can only be paid through Western Union and money order, but since you are in Nigeria, your best shot is Western Union, and you have to find someone in the US to make the payment, or send the $350 to someone in the US, add transfer fee, or as they request. Otherwise, go to benin Republic, but this is not so easy. 4, it doesn't matter who you have as sponsor--so long this person is your actual sponsor and has the financial strength to carry the load while you're in the US as non-immigrant. My only concern is, what is his income and how much is your total cost of attendance? You need to read this thread. Start from page 1 for full understanding of what you're getting into, so you'll not mess it up. All the best! |
DonnyE:For admission, yes (however, let each statement be in separate PDF). For embassy, yes. You're to take both copies for your interview. (as given from the bank, not photocopy or scanned). |
Beblessedbaba:Baba o! ! You saw this one. Chai! I was about sending you a message on WhatsApp.Thank you bro! |
goodmorning40:Zzor said the truth about me, and I am not a woman. ![]() |
Zzor:Awww! Rose! Thank you very much. I feel honoured, and I am happy to have told you about me and my ideals. God bless you! |
4Play:It is not new. The U.S has always issued 2 years visa to F-1 applicants, even when your program is for 4 years. F1 applicants are expected to renew when the initial visa expires. But most students don't renew. So with this new policy, I think they will be forced to do that! I think this is a good policy. |
Walspring:Oh, please share the link when you find it. Thank you for the update. I trust you're doing well? |
uche06:It is possible, if embassy opens. The possibility hangs on if the US embassy resumes operation this year. |
RukayatAkanji:The U.S embassy is closed at the moment, so you can't book appointment for F1 interview. I'd advice you relax and follow US Embassy on Facebook or Twitter. That way, you'll know when they annouce to resume visa applications. All the best! |
dollynnn:Because this subject requires a fair assessment. More so, it is complicated. But I'd still love to share what I think about it with you. |
stanliwise: ![]() What is supremacy theory? |
A youth for that matter!! complaining of two-paragraph texts. Learn to communicate with diction and concisely. This is not one of the high caste qualities of classic men that red pills seek to inculcate in young men here. And learn to mind your business in a matter you do not have knowledge on. Regex: |
bobowaja:Do you see why I said there are many young men on this thread? And you just displayed the attitude of a young man that has yet to learn how to relate with people and understand them. It also shows your focus is chronically on women. If you think I have a simple mind when you don't know anything about me, what does that says about you (as the so-called alpha) or redpiller? I don't have any mysterious card over the girl; I am too old to be playing games known with small boys who are looking to get girls laid. When I want a girl, after I have assessed her admirable qualities (not merely look), I go after her. It is men who are not fit that plays card; evolved men don't do it, because they have a long list of women they can pick from, without being manipulative or playing some stupid cards. That way, these women become submissive and soft in their arms. That is the category I belong to! Mind you, the girl is in her early youth, and still young and learning. Explaining was intentional, but you wouldn't know that because your mind has been programmed against women. I am sure the mentioned thread was opened to seek attention and read diverged opinions, but if she meant it, that is her wish...I have nothing against it. Hypergamy--the search for a superior class male over the inferior ones--is allowed. As a young man that you are, you're the one that should understand yourself, your purpose, your talent, and groom yourself so that women see you as a member of the high caste, rather than inventing mysterious cards to play on women. Evolved men don't chase women, except the ones they find too rare and one of a kind. Women come after this type of men because they are so personable, powerful in their niche, and are considered "better" over other men. Next time, read objectively and understand that not everyone on Nairaland is your mate. |
Zzor:Hi Rose! It's been a while. I know this is a thread for young men that are trying to educate themselves about the woman nature, forgetting that those who did not know and understand themselves cannot understand others. The knowledge of the woman nature begins with and ends with a man who understands himself and his purpose on earth as a man. I have never seen a man who knows himself that is not able to handle a woman like a real man. He is called the "evolved man", and he is not common at all. In my opinion, some of what is being shared on the thread are important as education against manipulative women (who are increasingly sprouting at every corner of our society due to loss of values and ideals), but I'd expect the emphasis on the nature of man himself, and not on the woman. Most of the young men on the thread don't know themselves and what a great man embodies, which is a huge subject area itself. Having said that, I am not a redpiller! But pansophist is really an enlightened human being and I resonate with some of his expository comments Nairaland-wide, which is why you saw my comment under his comment. And I've been good. How are you doing yourself? |
chinasajudith92:You're welcome |
Alistervibes:I replied. Thank you! |
Beautifully written! You're indeed exposed. The bold sentence is damn accurate. ![]() pansophist: |
ItsTerah:Oh! At this age, my dear, focus on self-development. Mom and Dad will not always pay bills to meet your needs, so focus on education and career, so that when your parents say they have done their best, you'll be capable to take it from them. |
ItsTerah:My dear, the bold sentence above is what makes some Nigerian ladies "Olosho", as they're so-called. What is the difference between sexually attracted to a guy and having feelings for him? Are these two different thing like East and West? This is the first time I'm reading this. What is the difference between feelings and sexual attraction? If you don't know that sexual attraction to a man is an embedded part of having feelings for the same man, then how are you even going to know the right man for yourself? You don't sound like an enlightened young woman to me!! You need to look around you for women of substance and deep life experience and pick one as a mentor and role model. It appears you lack one right now. ![]() Anyway, this is my advice for you: 1, You are naive and haven't experimented with self-control. You need to be very careful as keeping the guy who you said is physically appealing is going to cause you more trouble than you can handle. Guys like this damage ladies and I promise when he's done, he would have taken you out of your innocent and bright world to a dark world, where there's a likelihood to be lost forever. You'll become a sex machine, lose your original boyfriend and you'll be emotionally damaged (this is when a woman is unable to bond with just a partner; you find moving to the next guy for the sexual experiment a necessity to sustain your imbalanced sexual emotions). Stay away from him. 2, How do you want to live your life? Starting off like this will cost you more than you can pay for. As a young woman, humanity is calling you to stand for something, as a good force. If you are craving sex, give it to your original boyfriend and let him know you are here to stay. Develop reasons to love him. Good men are increasingly becoming scarce. By good men, I mean guys/men who are truly into their women and would stick to her no matter what. Most guys these days are fuvk boys, sleep with you, gift you with temporary things, and dump you like a rag. Is that what you want? Stay with one man and make bettering your life a priority. Whoring will damage the stable and beautiful emotional potentials still locked within you for your future husband. 3, Learn contentment. Most ladies these days are not contented. You guys have failed to emulate your mothers, who settle down and love your fathers wholeheartedly. Develop contentment. If your boyfriend doesn't have six-packs and you want him to because it appeals to you, then tell him to hit the gym. One of the reasons guys hit the gym is because they want to look appealing to a potential babe; I am doing it myself in addition to the health benefit. What do you like about the guy you are sexually attracted to? His beard? or na because he appears to have money? Encourage in the guy that truly loves you the qualities you admire in other guys you're sexually drawn to. Be content, or let go of this guy who has committed himself to you. Free him and don't suffer his heart. 4, Be different. At the end of the day, you'd choose between whoring and becoming a sex object that every sexually appealing guy you see can get laid OR become a woman of substance, education, virtuous, intelligence, mannered, and headed towards a life of honour and respect her children would be proud of years ahead. Which do you prefer? 5, Say NO to Oloshonism!!! |

I'm always puzzled by the propensity for Nigerians to genuflect to others based on societal status.
