daddytime: You saw them with your two korokoro eyes you didn't accost them or intervene on the assaulted guy's behalf.
How in Pete's name do you expect us to know the guy we never saw sir?
You were best positioned to intervene while the assault lasted. I was in a moving bus and also in my NYSC uniform. Do you think Nigerian soldiers will listen to someone like me as they are beating someone up? |

Crime › Help Me Find This Man Assaulted And Carted Away By Soldiers. by Farki(op): 3:55pm On Feb 03, 2020 |
This afternoon at 1:40 PM around Agungi bus stop Lekki-Epe expressway I saw two soldiers mercilessly beat up a young man and force him into the back seat of their car. The car is a blue volkswagen with plate number GLA-788-DA. The car was driven by a man wearing blue polo and jeans with another soldier in the front seat aside from the other two. I'm not sure of their reason for beating him up but it is most likely because he was wearing a designer camouflage top.
If you have any channel I can forward this complaint to or assist in finding this person please let me know. |

Thonee: Lagosians agree to ban ke, people that are not suffering from the ban are the ones writing rubbish. They're bikers operating in Oshodi-Ladipo-Mushin dis morning. Bottom line is that the people that are suffering from the ban are more than those enjoying it. I always said it that blacks hate themselves more than any other race. |
Politics › Re: LASG Hails Compliance With Restriction Of Motorcycles And Tricycles by Farki: 9:51am On Feb 03, 2020 |
eduman365: While I totally agree with the ban because of the sanity that obviously had to be restored on Lagos roads, I think the government should have provided small buses or cabs than can reach inner city roads where these keke and bikes normally ply, before effecting the ban.
Lagosians, especially those who don't own cars, are being made to suffer as there really isn't any means of transportation for short distances apart from the keke and okada...
I wonder why we always take actions without proffering solutions first... It wouldn't cost Lagos state anything to introduce mini buses and cabs for joint taxi rides to cater to inner city roads and intra-city transportation.
Those in Alausa didn't do their homework well, as usual!
LASG should also consider the following:
1. Fixing damaged roads aggressively and creating alternative routes. 2. Reviewing the ban on organized bike services like Opay, Gokada, Max etc. 3. Creating bus parks to eliminate traffic on the roads...
Another solution would be to create a functional railway system across Lagos. Other countries that are hyped for not having Okada and Keke they have good railways that keep the population from crowding the roads. |

Deepthoughts: Nigerian army behaving like a cult, they don't like to be questioned or criticised even when it's clear they are wrong like the case with borno state governor at near jimtilo, the army will give you a million reasons why they are not performing but they don't appreciate the value of other security bodies, nothing is now heard of the soldiers that kill policeman in taraba but if you get reverse we're to be the case they will go on rampage, with all these unconvincing attitudes they still expect all citizens to support them without questions all the time,I just wonder how that's possible. Some of them still have a military rule mindset. They think being a soldier is all about beating, harassing and oppressing defenceless civilians and threatening them with weapons. If the civilians get weapons and start fighting back they will change uniform and run. I'm just waiting for foolish Nairalanders to come with tales of how the army keeps us 'safe'and how they are the reason we can sleep at night. |

Sunnycliff: Buhari is not serious in this Boko Haram fight. How big is north east that a thorough combined military force of all our armed forces can't bring to a halt Boko Haram attacks? He can use all his strength to close border but to surround Borno and exterminate Boko Haram even when they know their location is a problem. |

Retrography: As a Roman Catholic, all what you've have raised are not issues at all because following what is written diligently in the Bible and based on ancient practices, such issues does not qualify as *controversial* For instance: Abortion is simply murder. How can semen which is alive become dead? When the Bible says: even before you were formed in your mother's womb, I knew you.

Whatever at least saner climes don't have NYSC, once you are 18 you leave your parent's house, so are you still sleeping under mummy's bed right now or are you self made? In saner climes at least minimum wage is reasonable to live on, the main problems are the cost of housing, medicine and childcare. Also in saner climes their own version of youth service is military service, I know in this country we won't do that because the people could then revolt after decades of nonsense. Plus if you think at 18 everyone leaves their house abroad you must not have left your village. |

1 usd is 36k+, If you are not into yahoo yahooo -cyber fraud , even Oyinbos consider it a big money , so when a corper receives 33K salary upped all the way from rarely received 17K and you still have mouth to say it's peasant's money , then , You are a bloody ingrate and you shouldn't be allowed to pro-create
Jonathan sold crude oil for 180$/B and allawee was not paid frequently let alone paying this value the borrower of loans paid this and now you are still not happy No foreigner's don't consider 97 dollars a month big money stop deceiving people. Why should we be grateful for receiving our expected minimum wage while top politicians receive jumbo pay, allowances, and pensions on top of just 4 years in office while still looting? The only reason they increased the money is because of the minimum wage bill; if corpers still got 19800 when minimum wage is 33000 everyone would know NYSC is a scam and less people would register for the scheme. |

solmus: yeah thats true i noticed that, but what is the standard procedure in case of multiple patient, do you have a way to quarantine them and forcefully ristrict them to a safe location.. like the case of doctor Adovah and Patrick sawyer the stuborn ebola guy If they test positive most large hospitals have a room for them to stay away from other patients, if they have existing underlying conditions treatment might be challenging. Also yes doctors can keep you in the hospital if you pose a health risk to others. My current concern is the sheer volume of people who could get infected but not treated due to space. There might be a home curfew if that's the case. |

I don't think this man works in a hospital right now. Hospitals are already crowded as it is, doctors are leaving the country and hospital staff have a history going on strike, we simply can't cope with the sudden surge of patients. If this virus as serious as it sounds lands in an unsanitary, crowded, immunocompromised place like Nigeria we are in for a really bad time. |
Health › Re: Police Arrest Five Over Coronavirus Hoax In Abuja by Farki: 12:11pm On Feb 02, 2020 |
solmus: i hope so oo, in this naija that we sabi fear.. just a scream of coronavirus in the hospital ward followed by loud crying and wailing everyone would make way for the door, even the mortuary would be empty This is why we keep test results and folders away from patients before they start causing commotion, when they see big grammar they will start panicking. If there is a positive report from the hospital the doctors will just quietly isolate you or move you out of the area. The big issue is that we can't know every single person who is potentially carrying the virus so we might not have the facilities to take care of all of them. |

And that was like 5km in total. By the time I returned to my base, I already lost some weight. I loved it, and the breeze was cool too. Only problem was there was no good walkway. Good for you, I guess you expect the rest of us to trek from the end of Badore to Ajah every morning for work. |

Nigerian Army gets ambushed daily yet you dont want them to investigate the information leak
Only Army, Medical Personel and Journalist have access to theater of war, yet Armies and Medical staffs are being ambushed while journalist get full access to record Leah's naming ceremony and CAN chairman beheading
. This statement is misleading, journalists have been with soldiers recording since the start of the crisis, when terrorists such as ISIS release threatening videos they have their own online channels. If you want to see who's been leaking information about army movement why not ask the 'repentant' terrorists released back to their communities and the soldiers who suggested such. |
