jaxxy: Bt why do civilians especially in Nigeria feel they have to disrespect or not acknowledge military personnel’s with atleast sm respect like they wud to any respectable persons. The military are not to be overly respected bt neither shud they be looked down on or unduly disrespected.
Yes many of them take things out of hand bt this usually starts from when they feel or observe undue disrespect. It’s not right for them to react that way however bt that’s majorly it.
Abroad when they see the military amongst them they still acknowledge them just that they won’t react badly to any disrespect cos they are more knowledgeable and hv adjusted/evolved to right laws and approach to situations. You are here talking about respect. Within the last month I have seen a soldier almost run over a woman with his bike and another drink water and put it on the head of a man hawking next to him. In this country soldiers act as if they are untouchable and can assault civilians anyhow and it is disgusting. No amount of perceived disrespect can warrant beatings and torture from people claiming to risk their lives for us. They are not better than soldiers abroad but Nigerian mentality will not allow them to act like normal human beings.

When I listen to some of these biafrans and their utter disregard for consequences, I think most of them are psychotic. That's one of the major reasons I don't support them. Rather than think of ways to make their region better in the event of secession the only thing on their mind is the amount of aboki afonjas and igbo 'traitors' they will kill for in an imaginary war. |

slowice: Lagos is a place where where all Nigerians irrespective of tribe converge for investment and business and more, some when Lagos is mentioned in statistics like this it doesn't really imply that the result is influence by yorubas alone, but by nigerians. All this tribal chest beating should stop already It will stop when some certain people stop bragging that they are the only ones who developed Lagos. |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Soldiers Drinking Dirty Water (Video) by Farki: 12:41pm On Jan 28, 2020 |
shogsman: You people no little to nothing about this things, first off they're sleeping that way because they was no supply available as they had to change camp because of a target, most of them are on a recon mission, some Canadian soldiers once told me a story about them having to eat rats when they ran out of supplies in camp, the army is no joke padre, this people are trained to survive anything. Some of them camp inside mud for days just to see the ground from an advantage, so them drinking dirty water is no surprise at all cause even soldiers from advanced countries go through much worse. I've had encounters with soldiers across continents that's why I know better, most of you lots don't even have access to the Nigerian army you just blindly follow headlines. So they had no support and dug foxholes so they wouldn't be shot in a surprise attack like I said. Got it. The thing is anybody with 2 brain cells to rub together knows the military isn't easy but drinking dirty water right from a stream is quite frankly stupid. There's a high chance they will get dysentery or any manner of infections making them another liability. Again there's a massive difference between sleeping in a hole and introducing all sorts of diseases into your system. If they could get phones with data and record this what's stopping them from getting clean water? Even in developed countries they give them adequate water supply (like in the picture you sent) or water purification tablets. It is only in Africa that we celebrate mediocrity. |

Can we pls try to say positive things about them and never forget some of them are also reading these kind of your insensitive comment? It is well. The same soldiers will turn their weapons on unarmed protestors or attack people minding their own business because they wore camouflage pattern. If it were any other country I would agree but not Nigeria I highly doubt soldiers give a damn about the lives of 'bloody civilians'. |

This is where some US soldiers sleep at night. But don't I see bottles of clean water right next to them? We don't need your stupid chameleon support for Nnamdi Kanu or anything that relates to Biafra! just stay on your own very lane, I'm sure you don't wanna get in the way of Igbos and their agenda cos you might just incur fatal casualties of another civil war, this time it will be Igbo vs Yoruba alone..
You hypocrites need to be tamed once and for all. This one is talking about civil war, I laugh in all 300 Nigerian languages. Herdsmen you can not take care of and you want to talk of civil war. If war comes now will you be at the front line or beg one Yoruba person to lead your armies for you like your beloved Ojukwu? I still repeat no single ethic group or tribe can fight the Igbo's unless they join forces with other tribes and ethic groups like they did in the 60s where the north , middle belt and south west joined forces to fight us
Which Biafran army commanded by a Yoruba man , banjo the traitor you mean? His end said it all You Ipobs hold the view that Igbos are simultaneously treated as second class citizens in Nigeria and dominate all sectors of the country. And I don't get your obsession with Lagos, if other ethnic groups treat you so badly why do you keep going into their land? Make Enugu your own Lagos. Yes the landlocked igbos fought alone in the civil war with no contribution from other ethnic groups in the Niger Delta, you're very smart. For all the talk they didn't advance once they killed the Yoruba man leading the Western charge. The same Yoruba man that was giving you victories, for what reason would he betray Ojukwu? If he wanted to he could have killed him or escaped since yet risked his life for his stupid cause. |

Flets: Make no mistake about, it’s only a matter of time before Corona arrives naija. With over 200M people, porous borders and little/no controls.... it’s a no brainer.
What preventive measures have this government put in place to manage this virus when it hits Nigeria?
Have the government educated the masses enough on preventive measures and symptoms?
Which outfits/ hospitals/ groups have been put on notice to tackle this virus once it hits coast?
Of course it’s no priority for the government, Buhari’s immediate focus is to shield and propagate bokoharam and herdsmen while balkanizing the judiciary for political gains.
Not sure God is interested in saving Nigeria otherwise people like Buhari will never have been president. I work in a hospital and let me tell you if it gets here we're screwed. If you think ebola was bad you haven't seen anything yet. |

We will wipe the Fulani's from this country if they single handedly come against us IPOB Logic >Igbos are the most powerful ethnic group yet they are still marginalised. > They can wipe out the Fulanis singlehandedly yet haven't done it and keep disturbing the West for not fighting for them. > Claiming Biafran military supremacy with armies commanded by a Yoruba man. haleymoon: What a park, a zoo where a lion is tantamount to a dog, a tiger to a cat, a crocodile to a lizard, an elephant to a hippopotamus. I laugh because we have not fed well as a nation but here we are having innocent animals in the form of sight-seeing, indeed it is, I really pity for those innocent creatures. I don't think Nigeria has a vibrant animal activist group that will lead a national protest to release those animals from captivity and back in the forest where they are better off. The supposedly zoo will serve its purpose to the highest if some of our politicians will be imprisoned, tortured and serve to the hungry wild animals, only then will we come for tourism, that alone will create abundance of rare opportunities and generate revenue to the economy If the animals were in the forest it won't take long for hunters to turn them into bush meat. Even animals we don't need to eat we kill unnecessarily in this country. Zoos help with conservation efforts because most people won't be concerned with the animals unless they can see and learn about them. |

MrBrownJay1: Sadly the issue here has nothing to do with women, and all to do with the r/ship that Nigerians have with money. In Nigeria MONEY IS EVERYTHING so we can't blame ANYONE for using that as a mean to be in control in their lives....MEN do it all the time, and there is no issues with it, why should it be a problem when women do it?! So many women settle for good for nothing useless men because of money, so many women are used and abused because of the little monetary gain that these men bring to these poor deluded women's lives... No wonder so many dudes out there are quick to say (to other men):" make money and women will come"
We have to be honest with ourselves and certanly shouldn't expect this issue to be a good thing if men have money but negative if women do the exact same thing. That's the definition of being hypocrites. I'm just stating my personal experience. I rarely see a woman actively choose to be with a man who earns less. When such happens there tends to be some resentment because the man isn't 'on her level'. |
