See how people transferred aggression to property that is meant to be of use to the general public. Why not march to the government house! The fire station was near the market but it couldn't do anything because their equipment wasn't working. Yesterday and today the fire station is still as it is... useless. |

Ttalk: Why are you confusing yourself, if awonlin sounds like Awori, and they are the original settler, how come you claim Eko belong to Egun? I didn't claim that, I said Yorubas are the original inhabitants of what we now call Lagos. Egun people migrated to Lagos after Yorubas. The Bini empire conquered Lagos and named it Eko. |

The eguns fled what is now Benin republic because they were constantly being attacked and settled to Yoruba land. I would know this because I'm Egun. The Binis conquered from East to West but who did they meet when they settled at Eko? Please stop this nonsense how can I be grabbing my own land? |

Dmen1219: I Live in America currently, and I can give you a summary as to why this foolish practice is so common. If it is too long, I'm sorry this is the best I can summarize due to it's complicated nature.
1) The media over here loves to bash Trump, because the people who work for the large media companies (including social media companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.) are left-leaning and wanted Hillary Clinton to win. But because she didn't win they have all been on a crusade to remove and belittle Trump as much as possible. The media is also what is used to inform (or rather brainwash) ideologies into people, so there's one. Twitter is a HUGE echo-chamber of left-leaning politics (besides Trump's tweets) that have had major problems with political bias over the last 4 years.
2) These companies catered to people who refer to themselves as "woke", and these people are extremely prevalent on Twitter, Facebook, etc. even as employees in higher positions of these companies. The "woke" crowd love touting how "ethnically diverse" they are and how the rest of the world needs to cater to their often changing definition of "diversity", and thus Trump being a white man is demonized for being such.
3) These "woke" groups often argue and compete against themselves, as like I said earlier they have an often changing definition of "diversity" which they hold dearly when they identify themselves. For example: If you made a film with a black woman, they will cry and moan for days because the black woman wasn't a lesbian. And if you then made the black woman a lesbian, they would cry and moan again that it isn't diverse enough, and that you should make her a 'transgender woman' instead. This process of making characters more and more "diverse" leads to racist and sexist arguments between themselves despite saying they are adamantly against those things.
4) to bring it all together, these woke people fueled by big-tech companies and media outlets often engage in social contests. They keep competing on how much they hate white people or how much they love minorities of every kind, and it sometimes leads to extremes. Though a lot of times these brash claims are just them talking big for the sake of talking big, while other times they actually act out their grievances and make groups like Antifa. Before Donald Trump became president almost every celebrity out there in the U.S. vowed to "move to Canada" if he won, and lo and behold they are still here complaining for attention.

Cyberterror: Let's be honest, Lagos is a smaller version of Nigeria. Majority of us Igbos live in Lagos and 70% of Igbo billionaires made their wealth in Lagos. Even when Igbo leaders want to do Igbo summit, most of them fly into Enugu or Owerri from Lagos unlike northerners and yorubas. Cardi B even chose an alternate Igbo name, Chioma B, as Lagos has become the home of 50% of Igbos in Nigeria. Ah a majority of 50 million igbos live in just Lagos state!? The number is even bigger than the whole state's estimated population without adding other ethnic groups. This one pass Lai Mohamad. |

I am a strong fun of this forum and I read a lot of stories in nairaland in fact I have be so addicted to reading articles in nairaland, though I don't believe all stories.
My issue is this, I have read a lot about relationship issues in this forum as a result of that I fine it difficult to trust ladies especially the ones that has to with ex. Sometime, I just feel it is better to remain a single, I don't want anybody to break my heart. But to be frank and sincere after reading those stories I just feel relationship is a big scam but man can't remaining a single forever... Am just tire of the whole thing maybe I should just stop reading stories about relationship in this forum
Please don't get me wrong, I am not in any way saying ladies can't be trusted. Read about Briffault's Law and see how it applies to your life. |

It's hard to see Igbo business men coming together to fix infrastructure decays within thier village and her environs bit they can build heavy mansions in the villages and turn a blind eye to infrastructure decay which if fixed would help the poor villagers around. They prefer to be the only shining light in the midst of darkness. I pray you become rich so that you can fix all the villages in the East for them, since it's paining you so much. |

Romance › Re: Reason Why You Should Never Take Womens Word Serious. by Farki: 5:40pm On Jan 04, 2020 |
holymarlian: only God can understand women even women do not understand themselves.there is girl in my compound I have chyked her but she keeps forming Porsche worst part of it she thinks she is smart every time she borrows my phone to listen to music because she doesn't have a phone at the moment so she usually calls her boyfriend with my phone when am absent but I don't care because I have up to #6000 airtel bonus on my phone.i didn't bother since she is not using my airtime but something happened that shocked me to pieces our street did their carnival on the 29th and her boyfriend came my God! if you see the rugged looking and dirty guy with black igbo lips and yellow eyes this pretty girl calls her boyfriend Damn I am far better in looks, finance and social class I asked her friend once again if he is really her boyfriend she usually calls at night with my phone she said yes I was shocked I laughed so hard I had to leave the carnival right now I give up on chyking this girl because am disappointed. I cannot come and eat leftover from an agbero.
women are truly illogical as people always say in this forum they are not worth the stress because they don't know what they want and always end up making the wrong choice.. You simply played yourself. She has a boyfriend but is using your phone and credit to call him, you are taking her out yet she doesn't care about you, who is the illogical person in this situation? All the insult for her boyfriend is just you trying to preserve your ego. In the end his 'black Igbo lips' are the one's she is kissing. You better learn self respect before one girl makes a serious mugu out of you. |

BedLam: I honestly don't know what people do in the USA if not for seeking employment and business. I find it revolting that people go there for holidays or anything other than economic gains. The world has developed to a point where most things available elsewhere in the world aren't in the USA. There are now better living in Asia, Europe and middle east than you could find in the USA. Even south American countries are coming up.
Meanwhile WAKANOW is a fraudulent establishment, stay away from them! You are both right and wrong. When I went to Chicago I honestly was very bored, aside from functional infrastructure and mostly clean environment there wasn't anything I could do there that I couldn't already do in Lagos. When I came back I was quite sad because if we made our cities presentable and fixed the electricity and road troubles there wouldn't be much difference. But not every place in America is the same depending on the location and season you can be very bored and have lots of fun, but as always it comes with a price. |
