Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
When Buhari had the opportunity to serve Nigeria at various level he was diligent, faithful and enthusiastic.
Now God has started rewarding him big time since March 28....

President Mohammad Buhari may God grant you good health, wisdom and strength to execute the task ahead of you even as you are taking Nigeria to the promise land.

..
Bro you don't say that when dealing with the devil oo. Remember gay marriage.

Whynotthetruth:
Sir, were these tests done in your farm or you took them to the laboratory elsewhere?
Do you inject them yourself?
Would you mind adding other miscellaneous expenses incurred so that we have a comprehensive picture of the cost implication?

..
You mean the DOC test? You take some chicks to an animal lab. No I don't inject/vaccinate myself, but I plan doing so with next batch. The expense will be included in my update.

Pavore9:
Well done bro, truthfully, l will be needing serious deliverance before l can become interested in poultry!

..
You're right somehow bc of their delicate nature compare to pigs or fish. But it helps if you start small and grow, learning along the way. Going for training will also help a lot, if it is a good one.

Whynotthetruth:
Thanks so much Sir... you really have a heart of gold...I will PM you anytime I will be coming home Sir... thanks

..
I don't reply my mail fast enough bc my phone can't access it. I prefer facebook (ikeme henry).

I went to min. Of agric, awka today. Among the questions i asked was whether govt hire out land to farmers. The person said no, that the govt give loan and u find land urself. So op, pls tell which agency bc I'm badly in need of cheap land in my state.

Whynotthetruth:
FarmTech, thanks so much for being generous with information and experience here...Kindly keep it up and do break down most of the terminologies for us newbies in poultry farming and reasons for actions as you undertake them...thanks...God bless and reward your efforts boss...

Would you mind allowing me the privilege of visiting your farm anytime that I am home to Anambra?...thanks Sir...

..
You're welcome anytime. Ok I'll try to explain certain terms, but if u don't understand the ones I assume to be simple, pls call me back.

manfred131:
Please oga FarmTech, can I visit your farm??
I stay at Omagba Phase 1.

..
Very close. It's at nkpor. I send u a pm.

Abortion is a private thing and i will not JUDGE.

..
There is a grievous mistake I don't want u to make regarding judging. Read this: http://www.gotquestions.org/do-not-judge.html.

As for now, I don't know anything about crop farming, so I can't really say much. But I encourage those that know to come up with there own analysis.
..
@Op, the govt agencies u talk about, can u name one pls? Is state min. Of agric one?

A long time without updating guys. Don't worry, I'm just compiling them until I recharge my modem. We have given fowlpox and komarov killed vaccines so far.
..
^^Top feed starter about N2700, grower N2250. I don't know about the layers yet. I don't mill my own feed yet. You can estimate feed consumption from the chart at: http://www.farmersjoint.com/blog/livestock-farming/poultry/feed-consumption-plan-body-weight-target-laying-hens/.

Op, we're waiting for clarification.

Jethro, how is the pawpaw plantation doing?

davidzfarm18:
if you notice a small growth then the birds were not protected . if no sign is observed at the point of Injection. then the birds were protected.

..
Incorrect. The opposite is the case.

atuagbo:
So no CURE! The all birds will die. What can I do to save these birds?

.. Revaccinate and give neoceryl plus if you have many birds.

A good biz idea. Thanks for sharing.

I'll also like to know.

davidzfarm18:
The poultry feed industry is facing serious challenge due to increase in exchange rate. increasing cost of local raw materials and the competition(largely on prices
some.
In my area for example. Farmers have complain seriously about drop in production using top feed and vital feed. late last yr , it was animal care when they tried to substitute for soyer due to it's unavailability.
That why we need to come together in this forum and fashion out the most effective means of solving the Fred challenge which constitute more than 70% of our cost of production.
It's time to look inward and tap into the most important potential we have on our inside as a forum.
Remain ever blessed.

..
True talk bro.

How did you sew the folds in the net?

twoMcfemad:
Boss, How has been your experience using Livestock feed? Top Feed has caused us drop in production and small sized eggs, so considering Livestock/Vital Feeds.

Is livestock feed okay and the price competitive?

Thanks,sir.

..
Are you sure it's top feed you used?

generalj1:
nice one guy.

the thing is, in osun state, to get meat and chicken to feed the dogs will be a whole lot cheaper.

if u give a guy in local abattoir meat seller 5k for biscuit bone and meat reminants (ashamo egungun)..what you will get will be so great.

focus on regular deworming them...give them raw meat and multi vitamins.

please ensure you have pure bred...and watch your returns multiply.

the truth is...feeding mutt and pure breds is the same but the result is different.

..
Pls op don't give raw meat bc of dangers of food poisoning such as E. Coli etc. Wild dogs in the bush can do well with raw meat bc over generations, they've learned to adapt to it. Domesticated dogs have not adapted to raw meat. They're bigger bc they eat food free of many germs. Pls dont feed raw food so that if sth is wrong with ur dogs u shud be able to know what.

If you watch emmanuel tv, there is a video where they show controlled demolision and a building collapse. The church's building was a controlled demolition. It may be true that TBJ did not get all the neccessary approvals to build the house, just like 1000000s of other houses in naija, but I have a feeling that this is a setup. Those that did it may have known that the house did not have all the approval etc. One prophet last year said that the nigerian govt will start persecuting men of God and I don't know if it is begining. But my prayer is that the real truth will surface. A lot of people died.

Had to relocate to another nearby villa dis yr while the court cases go on on the former 4 plots above.

Below my newly constructed broiler pen. 25 by 60ft by11ft, with farm house.
Elders in d house, hope am on wright course? Planned that it will take 1000 birds at full capacity. Thank you all for the valuable information I hv garnered here.

GGfadar:

Reduce the picture's size. You can also set your phone to snap pics with smaller dimension.

U are v correct. Even the pope can't give a direct answer. I wonder what they're afraid of. Is it all about retaining members or what?

Hello House.....my new batch of birds dropped their first egg today at age 20weeks. Help me thank God cos I need the golden eggs badly.Am grateful to God alone.

..
Finally, congrat.

Can u post pictures?

AMERICANS ARE USING THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SELL THEIR LAWS TO US. Some people can't even see that. For those supporting abortion, you're all antichrist without even knowing! So you want mass killing of innocent babies to be legal in nigeria? I see you have no conscience.

potoki:
Sir can u spend 6.5m? If yes,I will give u my breakdown analysis how I arrived at d above figure. Thank u.

He's talking about barb wire fencing which won't be costly. In onitsha, a 100m barb wire goes for about N3500.

otunbaakin:
On behalf of my family, I will like everybody to permit me to write this here. I want to thank everybody for their immense contributions to this issue on ground. I am not a nairalander but I got registered because of the issue at hand. Having read from page to page, I am impressed. I am not here to defend Ibijoke or Jide, but to point out some important issues here.

I am an uncle not only an uncle, a father to Ibijoke. She is my neiece, a daughter to me. Jide is also a man I have met and know well. He once visited my home. I'm aware of how my daughter started her business. She is a hardworking vibrant young lady with goals and determination to succeed in life. Right from her days at access bank and then her relocation to join her husband in the north. I remember so well days she earned penny. A graduate who was not ashamed to hawk kunu and days she carried bag of onions within lagos with a baby at her back. She kept on pushing it till God placed her where she is today.

I am not here to type out long stories but to point out some important things to Jide and everybody reading.
Both parties are hurt and at fault.
They both worked hard as mentee and mentor without proper agreement
The first business transaction 55,000 naira or thereabout didn't go too well as the price crashed. It didnt happen to Jide only but Ibijoke and two of her friends too. They were both witness.

Ibijoke had wanted to pay back the money when Jide once asked but he asked her not to pay. Though Ibijoke got angry because they both knew what happened to the transaction. She insisted on paying but Jide asked her not to pay and promised not to ask of it.
I want Jide and everyone to know that Ibijoke meant no harm to Jide. She had always talk of good plans about him. The same way your mum prays for her thats the same way we pray for you.

Ibijoke and her husband made Jide the manager of the company and according to them, they had finalised and agreed on that hence there was need for the staff of the company to open a salary account. Jide led the staff and he did open a staff account in mid may. If my daughter had nurse any evil plans, all that wouldn't have happened Jide.

Ibijoke never accused you of stealing her money but instead she complained that you left the office and never returned. She kept on dialing your number but was switched off. She kept on calling her staff to check if you ever came to work but you never did. She was so worried and sad about the stock sold and money not remitted, which you both know belongs to customers if I'm right.

Ibijoke as you said is never a coward but her silence is in obedience of our instruction. She has done more than enough and we want her off nairaland and the social media for peace sake and to avoid all sort of distractions.

My daughter doesn't hate you so you cursing the day you met her is un-called for. Her request to know your guarantors or relations was from me. To avoid problems, I instructed that she knows any of your relations or guarantors. It has nothing to do with money or power.

Jide you were not under Ibijoke yoke. There is no yoke in the first place. My daughter is not evil. She is a good christian from a good home.

I want you to know that I blamed my daughter for not paying for your service. To her, the two of you never agreed on that. She prepared your salary, she expected you at work but you never came back to work.

Jide, there was no need for threats or coming out publicly. There were persons you should have reported to. The elders in front of the office, her parents, mentors or even I myself. Ibijoke husband even told me he calls you often to talk to you. So there wasn't need for all this.

As her uncle and father, I stand on behalf of the family to say this matter will be resolved amicably. Do as the lawyer said. There is no need for all this childish drama and I want it to stop. Think of the good time you shared together. Think of the day you came to my home. No man is perfect. Like I told my daughter and I also want you and everybody reading that all that happened has been pre-destined by God.

Because of tomorrow and no man on earth knows tomorrow, I advise both party settle amicably and move on. I've spoken to my daughter already.

To all Ibijoke followers, thanks for your contributions. We will ensure the matter is settled as soon as possible.
Thank you.

..
I just hope this matter is settled amicably, and I just hope Cartered4 will come back and continue from where she stop. I talked with her on FB and she told me what you just said. But what I don't is whether she latter gained back access to her NL account to deactivate it.

davidzfarm18:
I give multi vitamins 3-4 days every other week to complement for missing nutrients in the feed because I self mill. I give vitamins for 2days after any medication and b4 and after vaccination.

..
For me, I always combine it with any medication. Do you think your method can fully complement nutrient deficit in the feed? What is you peak percentage like?

davidzfarm18:
Glad to see that the birds are doing just fine. you need to apply caution increasing the egg size. However. you may consider photo stimulating them for the egg no increase.whatever vitamins u are using for now.don't use more than 80% of the recommended dosages to avoid prolapse.

..
How often should multivit be given to chickens

Great site, her sister is fao.org.
