@Fatherof2,

Hmm, mind yourself ooooo!!!.

Always put a caveat at the end of your stock picks ' this advise is my personal opinion; if you require professional advise ,consult your stockbroker'.

or else, some people here will take it hook line and sinker ooo.
I assume you're NUMBER 1 on the LIST.

@ Fatherof@

3 Months but I would want to make as much profit on it as possible

Thanks
You're a strong man.And its good.
My own real FatherOF7 used to tell me "No venture No success".
Now, i love Banks.They're guaranteed money. I advice you split the cash in two (N750k each) to spread your risks.
I'll recommend UBA and Oceanic for the very very short term along with FCMB for the (shortmedium term).
For UBA and Oceanic, just wait a little bit till about wednesday/Thursday or Friday.I'm expecting a small drop from both of them before we enter the month
of December.Debtors will make their interest payments and will like to offload something before month ends.History tells me prices are always high during the middle of the month.If UBA can make a drop to about N51-N53 and Oceanic to about N28.00 to N29 at least, then go for the attack.Fair values for UBA and Oceanic post announcement of Fullyear results are N67 and N36 respectively and these amount to 25% gain on the above listed entry prices.

@ Fatherof2,

I greet you my bro,

I need some cool advice here and it is urgent.

I just got a loan of N1,500,000 from a bank and expected to pay back as soon as possible.

I want to use this amount for high speculation in the market.

Too many things going on in my mind and I need serious advice on how to benefit as soon as possible.

What options of stocks do you have, looking at short turnovers and taking into consideration entry and exit windows, timings, rumours and news.

Thanks a lot cause I know you'll help out.
@ololufemi,

What's the repayment time frame?. Answer ASAP.

The man is a guru, You say it is expensive. Their 1Q eps is 70k, Ow much do u think FBN 1Q is. Just wait until u see the prospectus.

You know the guy owns cellcom and i sense he might just be putting it up for sale to Zenith or the bank might just buy someting real good. Most of these banks are raising money now because we don't know the next policy that will come. Perhaps there will be embargo on all PO's.

Will buy it Big time.

@Father of 2
Most times its difficult to get stocks on the floor during TS. Tried that strategy but got onli little of them stocks except u get cross deals.

So Ow do go bout this
It surprising you say you can't get on the floor during TS.I know this can't be possible in the last few months. Go to proshare daily and read the dealers perspective.You'll have insight into net bids and offers and you'll see right now,PHB,Zenith,Wema are on offer.FCMB used to be on offer,but its now in transition and heading for bidding gradually.It'll be lifted soon.

@ Everybody

I entered Lasaco @ 3.00 earlier this year. I've watched it moved up and down. With the bullish trend in the insurance sector at the moment. Is it advisable to still hold on to the stock till the next quater (March) or do I cut my loss right now and move on to a better sound stock. Thanks everybody

Also, Do we all know when Dangote Flour will be listed?
Don't waste the money.Since you've waited this long,just wait for the next cycle of Lasaco.You'll get something good out of Lasaco in a few weeks/Months time. Did you read your financial standard today(sunday) or Sunday Punch .

@ wanajo , would you advise entering FCMB from the floor. at 17.45, one can actually get 50% appreciation from the stock, with a forecast eps of 0.96(assuming oversubscription) it can get to 25 quite smoothly. whats your take on that because there don't seem to be any juicy offers at the moment.
Sorry people,my internet link has been down.So i've been out for a while.I'm trying to get a new VSAT link in my residence so i can be on full blast.
@ Shigidi,

I've never bought any of these PO's except Union Bank which i sold last week.With this new e-certificate thing, my new strategy is to go in about a week or two before some of the good banking stocks come out of TS particularly when the interim results will be released like a month after TS is lifted. FCMB will be coming out of TS in about a week's time and i bought N2,500,000 @ N17.45 last week on the floor. I noticed the stock was on high demand even on the floor.Total transactions were about N9bn for less than 60 deals for the whole week.That's not usual.There's some mopping up taking place.Watch what happens after TS and results coming out. You can scrape like 25-30% from it while others are waiting for their e-cerificates in 6months time.
FCMB is top on my list now.To confirm what i'm telling you now,see NAHCO today. Offer price was N22.80,it came out of TS and 3weeks later results came out and its at N28.I'm safely out of NAHCO with my 23%.Moved into Access after TS and results expected soon.Already have my 25% on that one.Gone are the days when a rally is guranteed for a stock that has been on TS for donkey months.Now most stocks are on offer even up to the day they're lifted from TS.Things are moving faster now with this e-certificate so no need to tie your money for months with TS,just wait a week before TS is lifted.
Same strategy will be adopted for BankPHB and Zenith.

@youngdoc

To your question, BankPHB will give your great returns by 09. Francis Atuche the MD has promised great things,including 6months earnings for 08 of N57bn. And i know these guys,they're bankers to my company and they milk money.So i trust he'll deliver.

aiico's figures look good and they are reliable (as much as any ins coy can be)

it may be difficult to get on the floor now they are on TS but your broker could always check.
my experience is that they just say its scarce, whatever that means!
Aiico is a good buy.You can surely get it on the Floor.It ain't scarce.People who are scared of TS are lining up to sell.
They don't know Aiico will bounce after the offer.

@Fatherof2,

Noticed the movement of First Bank, inching close to full 5% soon.

AP is also doing a rebound, up by almost 5% and crossed N100 . This means people who sold at a high of over 114 and re-entered at 83 would soon be cleaning out very soon and have their cash registers ringing.

What's up with this market. I don't even understand it anymore and I'm scared next year might be a great boom with prices skyrocketing.

Makes me happy though.

Thanks a lot bro. Very grteful for the access tip

I've got this friend who just got a facility of N2 million and he wants to trade short term with it ( 2-3 months).

Got any bright ideas on which stocks to buy for him.

I would appreciate it.

Thanks
@Ololufemi,

   I just dey.Watching closely.
For your friend. My laser beam is currently on FCMB. Year End is April.
So we have May,June,July,August,September,October (6months).  I'm expecting results at least by December.
He can put N1m there.
WAPCO is also good for the next 3months.But let WAPCO fall to about N64 to enter. A suitable time should be just before christmas weekend or a day after boxing day.Some people will be travelling to village then and they may need some money to share for village.Price will be cheap then.He can give WAPCO the other N1m.Besides WAPCO is even due for some BONUS (I suspect).

If I'm to sell now, which shares do you advice i buy, for the short-term. a beg advice.
Don't do anything to your GTB just yet. Lets see what the price is on the 12th of December.I'll advice you generally hold on till FY end.Keep profits going,only cut on losses.Most Banking stocks are guranteed cash.

First Bank has taught a lot of people sense.

Meanwhile, I believe the Market will be depressed in December - lets wait it out for 2 - 3 weeks and see what unfolds.

Abeg @all,

Anyone dealt with GTB registrars lately? I need to verify my GTB shares, and its giving me a bloody headache. Its in my maiden name and i don't have any I.d or Bank account in my maiden name.

Afribank, N100BN
BankPHB, N75bn
Zenith, N130bn
Total, N305BN
Add  135% Oversubscription(Conservative), N412Bn

This is one good reason the bears will send us our Christmas gifts this December.That money will have to leave the Secondary market to the primary.
Meanwhile did anybody observe that on Tuesday, FCMB had just  22deals, 348000000 UNITS worth  N6.6Bn.
My take on this is that their stock broking arm is doing some mopping up to ensure FCMB rallies after TS is lifted.
So much money for just 22 deals . shocked
FCMB is on my buy list.6 months results will be due very soon and they will deliver on projections.

I seem to be in the wrong stocks, MBenefit, NASCON. Still waiting for Access to perform, no certificate out for oceanic. pips i need to diversify. With MBenefits result, they would probably not hit the 1b target so what next. my average entry was 3.68 embarassed
My dear Nigerian Brother,take heart.It seems to me you let your heart move you to buy stocks.You seem to have rushed to buy into those stocks.Those are high prices.How did you get 3.68 for mutual benefit.Was it yesterday?.Just be patient with all of them.You will soon run into profit with them,but you need to wait a while.Nascon will come out and so will Mutual.Just be patient,don't hurry to sell because you hear others are making money elsewhere.
I remember when i just started back in 04.I bought one bad bank (Chartered Bank).It was the very day i bought that the stock started dropping to N3.I lost a full N1.I waited for a full calender 365 for it to rise back to N4 and took my money out.But i swore it will never repeat itself.

Excellent results from Mutual Benefits!!! Clearly exceeded expectations. On course for PAT well over 1B Naira.

Costain is in on course to meet target. Good result but not beyond what was expected. I need to get my hands on the PO prospectus. I suspect it will be very interesting.
Lower Profits from Mutual Benefits doesn't look excellent to me.
When there was no money they did better,now they have money they're declaring lower results.
It will take a hit for that as evidenced by todays slight drop.
Good one Costain.Your rights will be fully taken.

@ CAPUCHI

Lets see what happens to Oceanic by next week.You could still get 20% or more on it if you buy at N29.The price could slide down next week because we would be coming to the end of the month and all those who took loans to buy, would want to sell to credit their accounts for the interest payments.You can then re-enter oceanic.Results are due this December.
