Abuklaw:I'm not disputing whether they are a violent group or not, that os hardly the issue here. We want to establish if the killings were justified in any way, maybe as a form of self defence or an act of multiple homicide. It is a ver simple question I asked. Before or after? |
dapsonlou:Very correct especially if it keeps reoccuring without check. Unlike dullar.dinho, Obama's government or any responsible government usually arrests such officers and they are tried. This incident is not gonna be investigated thoroighly, so yes it is his fault, you understand? |
rusher14:Well said bro. Well said. |
Abuklaw:Did their shooting start before or after the massacre? |
The Nigerian army seems to have caught the APC lying bug. Lies everywhere, from 107 soldiers not missing, to them missing their way to them returning to their bases...and not one family member has heard from them. Now this hatchet twitter cover up of an unneccessary massacre? |
dapsonlou:Funny how you people can blindly defend the indefensible. Who os the CIC? Under whose watch is this happening? Who appointed the COAS that is carrying out these killings? If we dont blame him, na my papa we go blame? |
alabilomo:Enough with all these threats sef. Freedom of spech hasnt ended has it? How many people did you threaten or caution when heaps and heaps of insults were rained on GEJ and Obj? Hypocrisy! So now, its buhari's turn and all of a sudden he has become superman and would hunt everybody down? Ni.gga puleeez! Give me a break! |
sisisioge:Running sef is not easy. He still needs their sponsorship. Sometimes they just need a little tugging to get in line. If he can talk to them with all humility and sincerity, everything will be ok. But he has to take it to God in prayers too. |
sisisioge:Funny how people think that once he is done with school, he'll be done with them. Hahaha! I laugh because that is short-sightedness and foolhardiness. The issue needs to be confronted headlong until there is a resolution. He needs his family in his life even if he doesnt see it now. Diplomacy works when deployed tactfully. |
minasota:Comments like these leave me in awe. Demonic attack? First off, you know nothing about what the op has been through all these years. Secondly, some parents can be downright difficult and seek to correct their own life's mistakes through their kids. Everything doesnt have to be a spiritual attack you know. From the op's comments, he has not been disobedient nor disrespectful to his parents and that is why he heaps a huge portion of the blame on his existence. Different people have different ways of handling and processing things. The issue with some people like you is because they feel they went through similar or worse and came out hardly scathed, everybody else should. Situations differ, variables are dynamic and there is no universal template for dealing with these things. |
@op, chillax a while longer, things will be ok. No need to get suicidal. A change of environment is what you need now, away from the depression. Depression can have life long debilitating effects on your self confidence and that is the last thing you need to happen to you in this life. Who do your parents listen to or respect a lot in the family or pastor in church? That is the person you need to go to. Bare your heart out to the person so he can appeal to your parents' conscience. Let them know that their paranoia with religion is only pushing you away from them and their faith. You sound like a good kid, you just need to be stronger and focused on your life's goals. That is what will keep you going against all odds. The suicidal thoughts and self loathe are just you giving into your weaknesses. Rebellion may come much later as a last resort when all else has failed but for now, I don't think it is the way to go and neither are you equipped for it at the moment. If there's no one they listen to, then it may be time to man up and wake them up from sleep one early morning for a talk. Tell them your mind but be very respectful in your approach. Let them set aside religion for once and tell you how you have been a bad kid. Be bold, no fears, but dont be arrogant or disrespectful. Do not fail to let them know how they are pushing you away with their threats, but do it subtly. Modified.... Above all pray to God about it and trust in him to salvage the situation. Do not lose faith in him on account of your parents. |
Ginaz:The op is not mature for this line of advice you are giving him. Rebellion would only make matters worse at this time. IMO. |
lookandlaff:Brother, you dont have to go gutter like he is doing. Just school him and move on. Meanwhile, fuel subsidy dates back to 1992 during IBB's regime. He introduced it in April 1992. http://www.themaceonline.com/house-of-reps-news/241-fuel-subsidy-removal-the-challenge-before-house-committee-on-petroleum-downstream |
OreMI22:There's hardly anywhere in tne world I know where govt concessons roads it already built to a private entity. What they do is they ask you to build entirely new roads with shorter routes or new roads linking new communities and then you toll only after you have completed the construction. When our govt imports foreign ideas, they tend to twist it to serve themselves, because the average Nigerian hardly knows better. |
lookandlaff:I know you are negotiating a different point, but what I'm saying is this. This proposal has all the trappings of the lekki scenario. This is even worse, as they want to toll already built roads. Probably gonna concesion the maintenance to someone who'd do a wish-washy job of resurfacing the roads and then mount their tolls. Please what are they doing with our taxes? This is akin to asking us to pay electricity tax while they build the dam that would supply the electricity someday. |
lookandlaff:It was someone else's point, not mine. Fashola terminated it after he was dragged to court. Lagos state house of assembly then approved N7.5 billion to buy back the concession. To think that a concession of N7.5 billion barring maintenance costs would have taken them 30 years to recoup. 30 years!!! And anybody thinks this new situation here is gonna be any different? Draconian policies like this need to be met with stiff resistance as it is conceived on nothing but dubious intent. Modified... Only in Nigeria would you have a government toll a road that is still under construction. Praytell, how did they arrive at the duration of the concession without test run samples? That road sees nothing less than 20,000 vehicles daily and I say this with all sense of conservatism. I'm just being very economical with the figures. Do the math. |
lookandlaff:Fashola did not terminate the agreement, the courts stopped tolling on that section of the road. Whether the agreement was done by Tinubu is irrelevant as Fashola saw it to fruition. It is a bad deal, so the blame heaps on both of them espesially on Fashola. Secondly, you dont toll an already existing road built with hard earned tax payers money. If FG wants tolls accross the country, let them build new and shorter routes as it is done in SANE countries, that way the people have alternative routes. What Fashola is suggesting is borderline criminality. Let us be truthful for once. With thevolume of cars plying that Lekki road on a daily basis, the total cost of building the entire road would have been recouped in 6-8 months, but for sheer dubity, the road was concessioned for decades. Now that is a rogue move by an inept and corrupt government and only sustained to keep the pockets of his paymaster lined up for generations. At some point, mother nature will intervene, it is inevitable. |
He learnt from these.

Rolandken:You would require a visa to go to US, wont you? You cant travel with such amount of money on you. Even your mastercard has a paltry daily limit on it, so somehow you might have to transfer the money into an account overseas. |
abbey621:Very attractive. They buy salvage cars and knock them down for spares. US has a huge car market you know. |
mamagee3:Mehn! That guy did a number on you and I think you like him, that is why his opinion really matters to you and is hurting you deeply. I bet he is not the first to insinuate that. Moveon babe! Anynody that blackmails you into submission is definitely not worth the effort. Rise above him and shine. You should care less. Do things and go to places that make you feel good. Dress fly but decent and awaken that awesomeness in you. You are pretty. Check out Oshiomole and madam Oby and you'd know what ugliness is all about. Still these people feel fly as fvck. Stop seeking people's approval, it gets you nowhere but lower self esteem. Be happy, radiate happiness regardless of how people try to pull you down. |
talkintruth:That is how low some folks can get in defence of their erroneous judgements. Why were they not robbing all the while GEJ/Fashola were in power? Ambode is busy taking selfies. The burden is overwhelming for him now and can only abate if FG wakes up. For now, Lagos state and FG are in synchrony which is what they have been clamouring for since but this time it is synchrony in docility, complete state of Inertia. Nigerians need to apply Newton's law of inertia. |
bushdoc9919:Be fair in your analysis, not everything os about GEJ's shortcomings. GEJ tried to empower the youth via agricultural reforms and all what not and we all saw the impact. What is happening now is that PMB is inept and hasnt done anything since assuming office. Companies are owing staff, some are laying off workers, thriving businesses are folding up and young businesses are having it rough or packed up already. All because of the present government is in a state of inertia. When is he going to hit the ground running? SME's are really folding up as trade is at an all time low. Importers and exporters cannot transfer money abroad for their trade due to draconian CBN regulations, neither can they travel with it. There are further threats to devalue the Naira. This brings to mind the Austerity measures the same Buhari introduced in 1984-5. Nigerians suffered their most severe hardship during that period. His doomsday economics has always been his method. IBB took over and all of a sudden austerity disappeared. Let Buhari bring home the bacon already, nobody expects magic from him but at least 6 months is enough to start seeing tangible moves. To be reasonable, I dont expect him to fulfill his campaign promises as most of them were made out of devious intent and a far disconect from the realities of the Nigerian situation, but at least he should start somewhere. The strategy of labelling any critic as an enemy or wailer should have been outdated by now as almost every Nigerian is groaning under untold economic hardship at the moment and it would be foolhardy to dismiss that with a wave of the hand. It is only natural that crime would increase in a situation like this. Supposedly gainfully employed people are being owed salaries and are expected to survive? On what if I may ask? Air and water? The masses are experiencing minimal income due to trade blockades and dearth of DFI's and PHCN is announcing plans of an increment in rates? Nigeria is back to 1985. What is even progressive about the appointments so far? 5 months just to name Amaechi, Audu Ogbeh, Lai Mohammed? I could pick a better cabinet in 2 days. I can only imagine the loss of foreign trade Nigeria would have experienced by now. Economic opportunities lost. Let us not blame GEJ for everything please, PMB is now in the ruling party, not the opposition, so he should stop acting like one. |
Beremx:He is still posing for paparrazzi. A-pee-cheat at the state level, A-pee-cheat at the center. Unison in docility! Unfortunately, Ambo doesnt have a PDP predeccessor to blame, so he is mute. Bu-bu on the other hand will blame GEJ even when his sh.it is constipated. Change? Sure! |
Durentt:E.g. A lot of Ijebu first born sons. They always have comma, |
And if dating should turn to marriage, woe betide you if her parents die. Responsibilities will kill you not only during funeral, but after especially if her younger ones are still young and in school. YOU NOW HAVE A NEW ENLARGED FAMILY WITHOUT EVEN TRYING. If the parents are the struggling type, they'd only be so glad to let her go so she can contribute to the family economy and help raise the younger ones. It wouldnt matter much to alot of them parents if you are not so much of a good guy, so long as you bring home the bacon, all is well. If the parents are the comfortable type, then your 'high jump' is even higher as you will be scrutinized under a microscope and her pops wuld likely raise the bar so high you'd feel like giving up sometimes. She is the beacon others would try to follow and if the beacon doesnt shine bright enough, then others may falter. Happens in a lot of cases, not all though. First borns, and lastborns are over rated each with their own baggage. |
Meek millz takes it. When you wear a shirt with concentric converging motifs around the neck like that, you have to button up thoroughly to nail the concept and that was what Meek mills did. He closed the loop whereas Kcee failed that part and he over-accesorizes all the time. Gold chains+gold belt buckle+gold shoe buckles+gold wristwatch? Screaming for attention if you ask me. Wearing chains on unbuttoned shirt is not cool. wearing a necklace however is better. Kcee should have just buttoned up. Meek millz on the other could use one or two simple accessories. |
u wan sell car for this hardship? Issorite |
Why remove Kachikwu from NNPC? Since it has been recognized that he is such a profesional, why is he being pulled only to be made junior minister? A notherner would now be put there as NNPC GMD to work directly with Buhari while Kachikwu would be there as mere 'PA' to the minister Buhari. The northern oligarchy is back in full swing and the south is too disunited to see it. Divide and rule tactics. SMH. |
My personal opinion I dont think Tinubu lost out at all. I think he may have just gotten all he wanted. Lets lOok at it this way. From the onset, it was obvious that each group would try to outdo the other. I think Buhari fell for Tinubu's smoke screen. I think he intentionally Created the impression that he is at loggerheads with Fashola and Fayemi to get the Daura man to play ball in his direction. He is powerful and knows that it would only be a matter of time before attempts would be made to clip his wings. If he really wanted to rubbish Fashola, do you think it would be mere borehole and website controversy that he would whip up? I think not. He set the ball rolling early enough so no one would suspect anything. He has just suceeeded in planting his moles in the new govt without much fuss. Fashola is a loyal spineless man that lacks the tenacity to stage a revolt against his paymaster. If Buhari had chosen Falana and co, it still would have been a win win situation for Tinubu. Tinubu is only schooling the old soldier on strategies of war. If I was in Tinubu's shoes, I wouldnt relax and hope my wishes wohld be granted knowing fully well that my influence in the run up to the elections was extensive and even the dullest of presidents would be very wary of that and seek means to mitigate such powers. This is just what Tinubu has done. Appear to cower in the face of ostensible defeat and appear to be disgruntled albeit subtly. That man is Marchiavellian. But I believe that even Fashola may not be given the AGF position. Malami might get it. Buhari cannot afford to entrust any sensitive posts to southerners and that is where Tinubu stands to lose. He has demonstrated that already. If buhari gives the AGF position to the north, then the entire judiciary would be in the hands of the north. AGF, Court of appeal, supreme court, CJN. Even Amaechi and co that appear to be against him are all playing his game. All na wash. At the end of the day, I believe that Yoruba solidarity would always play out. It would be foolhardy of Tinubu not to have anticipated all these and more to come and the truth is that man doesn't come off as a fool to me. But hey! It is just my opinon and it may not be worth squat in the scheme of things. We are watching. |
