Romance › Re: I Don't Know What My Problem Is With Men And Dating by femi4: 10:12am On Dec 03, 2019 |
Harlequeen: I opened this account because my main one is pretty popular.
I've had this issue and don't know what's wrong. I can't seem to get into a new relationship. I am now 25, about serving, working a normal job
My dating history is not too rich. I dated just one guy for 2 years, i became sexually active with him, we enjoyed each other, but things didn't work out. I tried to be better, have moved on, and he has too. This was mid last year. I have been celibate since then not because i don't like sex, but because i had time to think, i read a lot of books, listened to a lot of relationship counselors on YouTube, reddit, Nairaland and so on. I decided to approach dating differently, with my head and not my heart . i would vet men out who were not in line with some basic standards, to avoid fuckboys and meet high quality men. He should be well spoken, either with a career or into trade, accomplished, way older by at least 10 yrs(no i don't have daddy issues, i just like mature guys because i think like a mature person) he could also have plans to leave the country, because i plan to do that also.
Here's the issue, the men that express interest in me do not fit this criteria. They seem to have no plan for their lives. I get this impression that they are broke, they recycle the same lines all the time, i usually see their bull sh1t tactics a mile away. some are in the army(i can't date men in the armed forces, they lifestyle is not what i want for myself, cannot date doctors either for the same reason)others are artisans, some are plain hustlers who just do whatever to eat. I have a soft spot for ambitious men, and i have not seen a lot in the area that i am in. I have been advised by my friends to try highbrow areas like lekki or VI or go to church, but i don't believe in religion.
But whenever i see these men, i am not attracted to them. I have even tried online dating with some male nairalanders, but i get disinterested easily. I get turned off when someone asks for my normal pics, it is quite frustrating. There's that fear that some of these men could use my pics to masturbate or one other creepy purpose. I block them if they ask for nudes. But the issue is, it is quite exhausting to keep chatting with someone without seeing them in person and some of these guys just want to smash and run which i won't allow. No man will have access to my vagina and womb without investment and commitment. Eventually it becomes hard to keep up communication and we just fizzle out like that.
I am not under pressure to marry from my parents, infact my dad says he won't allow his daughters marry until they clock 28 and i am the first. He wants us to have a career and a life before moving with a man. I just want to know if what i am doing is right?
To be honest, i just want some words of advice and encouragement, you can ask me questions if you want. This approach of mine? Is it the right thing? Am i being too smart for my own good? Am i afraid of commitment? Too many criteria up there ......unfortunately you attract who you are. You don't do religion yet you want trustworthy and ambitious person, your wants and your believe doesn't add up. Drop your guards and let your man find you....and yes He won't possess 100% everything listed up there |

Farmerguy: Update!!
This morning, I had to deliver eggs to one of my customers, I loaded the truck and i drove off.. I was on the drive when a strange number called and it happened to be the guy's aunt. She said she was calling to ask for my account details just like my guy instructed her to do.. So I texted her my bank details and I've gotten an alert for 2.5m so she called back and said that was how much he asked her to transfer to me and if I was skeptical or something I could ask him directly... Now that's funny..
But I'm happy he paid back.. By the way, my farm is in ogun, its pretty big and this December, I'm gonna share eggs and some cash randomly.. It's been another good year with sales on the farm, I might not be popular, but I'd still give back.. Now that's my style you are now popular ....please hope you planted rice, that's what I want from you. Don't need eggs or your money |

Career › Re: Should I Recommend My Best "Team Member" For A Higher Position Off My Team? by femi4: 8:07am On Dec 02, 2019 |
AlexDeedat: Please I want you to judge me but, while you do that, please be sincere. I will make it brief. Please dont mind the typo errors or any errors as we have many English teachers on board.
It all started about 3moths now, I works with an FMCG Multinational Company as a Field Sales Manager and I was newly transferred to one of the northern state from Lagos.
I arrived this state as a Johny Just Come (JJC) and I can barely speak ordinary 'Wa kin pa o' (come make I kill You), I am a Yoruba Man. I met an existing Sales team which I inherited from the previous manager. One of the Sales people is Mr X. Oh my God! This guy is just so exceptionally intelligent, smart, hardworking, dexterous and has the qualities to be a great Manager. He is still an Open Market Sales Rep despite the years he has put in the Business.
Mr X took me round the Territory, helped introduced me to existing distributors and we were able to recruited more. My line manager was so surprised that i was able to fit into the new environment easily and met 72% of my target for the first month within that shortest time. This particular Mr X has so much channels he can singlehandedly do 50% of the entire secondary sales while the remaining sales rep struggled with the rest.
Now this where I'll need your advise. There is a new vacant slots for the post of TSM, three (3)northern states and one(1) south eastern state. I have opportunity to sloth Mr X's CV so he can be called for exams and possibly interviews. I am more than sure this guy will get the job with my help and his effort.
The problem is "I CAN'T LET MR X GO NOW" I decided to work out ridiculous incentives for him to increase his pay and he was so happy about it this month. He received 2x of what he always received monthly for the last few years...but yet, my conscience wont let me rest till now as it is about 48 hours to the close of submission for CVs.
I need this guy on board so badly atleast for like 4 to 5 months when I'll find my feet on this ground..I have looked around the remaining sales team atleast for a replacement but the rest are just.......This environment still looks like I am being pushed here to suffer..If you have been to core north, you will understand.
**I know God pushed him to me and I am very grateful. I'm I being wivked or self centered by holding on from sending his CV?
**I'm I going to be so stupid for allowing him Go now.
Pls advise me on what to do.. He ll eventually leave one way or the other. Put one or two people in his team strictly to understudy his method of operation Loose him! and let him go.....if he eventually found out about opening and your reluctant to recommend him, his output may eventually drop drastically |

jesusjnr: Lol! Even if you disagreed with my opinion, there is no need for you to cancel it.
How many temptations have you been able to overcome with discipline?
I'm speaking from experience, and you should know the power which comes from prayer, and could also be called annointing which helps you not to fall In temptation or to obey God's Word.
Matthew 26:41 (KJV)
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. I have the right to rule you out when you write things contrary to the scripture Anointing breaks yoke, brings miracles and healings. From the scripture you quoted: "Watch and Pray" has nothing to do with annointing Anointing takes you to the top but discipline keeps you there |
Christianity Etc › Re: 5 Things That God's Anointing Cannot Do by femi4: 12:50pm On Dec 01, 2019 |
jesusjnr: You're very right op, annointing cannot prevent temptations from coming your way, [s]but it can give you the capacity to overcome temptations[/s] which come your way.
Annointing is good but it should never take the place of God in someone's life.
That's very important and why many annointed persons have ended in hell, because some of them started well and their focus was on God, but when the annointing came, and the people, they forgot about God who gave them the annointing and their attention shifted to the annointing God gave them and the people that came as a result. And the rest as they say, is history.
King Saul easily comes to mind.
God bless. Discipline gives capacity to overcome temptation |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Difference Between God And Lord? by femi4: 10:31am On Dec 01, 2019 |
johnmba: Have been wondering if there is a difference between the two. My reason is this: we believe that Jesus is God and in St. Paul's letter he said " Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ"
Also Elizabeth filled with the Holy Spirit said " who am I that the mother of my Lord should visit me".
So people is there any difference. God is Lord but every Lord is not God. You can make anything "Lord" over you Lord is an appellation for a person or deity who has authority, control, or power over others acting like a master, a chief, or a ruler.E.g NL is Lord in some people's life |
