Can a ‘good’ thing come out of a man on Facebook asking women who wants to be considered for marriage to submit their applications?

“Am of age to and I am ready to say I do and am wasting no time. Send in your applications – the most qualified will be married on January 6, 2018. Application closes 12 midnight, 31/12/2017,” Chidimma Amedu on the 30th of December, had posted on his Facebook page, telling his followers that he was very serious.

Soon, he started getting responses but the one from Sophy Ijeoma caught his attention.

“Am interested, just DM me…lols,” Sophy had written, unaware that Chidimma was indeed serious.

Some minutes later, he sent her a message, followed by a Facebook call. Two days after their first conversation, Chidimma travelled from Abuja to Enugu where Sophy lived.

“It was love at first sight. He is the most handsome man I’ve ever met and I liked him instantly,” Sophy recalled the moment she set eyes on him, outside a retail store where she was waiting for him.

Later that day, Chidimma took Sophy to meet his uncle who also lived in Enugu. Chidimma’s uncle gave approval of their relationship after he told him he wanted to marry Sophy.


“When I saw him for the first time, I definitely found him attractive, but what I didn’t know was how serious he was about marrying me. It was after we met the uncle and his wife, that I realised that this could actually happen and I wanted it,”Sophy said.

That same day, the couple visited Sophy’s family and they got the approval of Sophy’s elder brother as their father was late.

Meanwhile, Chidimma was engaged to be married to a woman last year December, but the relationship ended in March. Not wanting the year to end without getting married, he decided to put up the post.

Unbothered about how her marriage happened, Sophy said she went for what she wanted. Until the advert, the couple had been friends on Facebook for more than a year, but had never met or spoken to each other.

They got married on the 6th of January in a traditional Igbo ceremony, and hope to have a church wedding in April.

I've been a diehard Samsung freak till I saw my friend's mi Max 1 and ordered for the max 2. It's the first time I'm using a type c phone. My phone was already on 2% when the charging port got fried (due to my negligence) the 'conversion' was very much needed ASAP cause I was COMPLETELY shutout.

Hey guys. Good morning. I seriously need your help. My Mi Max 2 USB cable had some cuts in several places. Due to negligence, I didn't deem it necessary to change it. Then one faithful evening after work, I plugged it and it didn't charge. Then I started perceiving the odors coming from the charging port. I tried another cable and it still didn't work. Then it became obvious that the charging port was bad.

I took it to computer village, ikeja. The guy searched and searched for it buh couldn't find it, then he opted to 'convert' it to the regular (Blackberry) charging port.

But my friends, ever since then, I've not been enjoying the battery life of my phone cos it takes ages to charge to even 20%. The highest I've got was 73%.

Please guys I'm in dire need of your help. Whoever has the charging port, or knows where I can get it should please help me.

Appreciate the fact that she told you the truth sha, unlike a lady I broke up with earlier this year that made me believe she was a Virgin until I finally was able to go intimate with her. Hi guys. I've got this great passion for music, but unfortunately, I can read music or play any instruments (except the drums sha which I used to play back then in block rosary during Congress and crusade events )

Well, to help me kick-start my learning, I finally got a piano. Then I downloaded loads of YouTube videos on "how to play the piano"

Ive been watching and practicing but I don't seem to get it right. I'm beginning to think that I'm probably wasting my time but I'm quite determined.

I stay in Ogun state (Sagamu) and don't know people whom I think can help.

Is it possible to learn the piano via watching online videos? My major setback is the finger placements. I often times play 2 notes when I'm supposed to press one.

Any help will be very much appreciated.
