agaugust: Pilots walking on the ground is not same as pilots flying in the air, does your Gripen operate on the floor where those men are walking?
2012 is three years ago, your pilots have lost their combat qualification, they need 150 hours flight each per year, they get just about 12 hours each.....TOTALLY DISQUALIFIED from combat.....SAAF Gripens will fall to even Ugandan air force Su-30 Flankers !
BTWN.....99% of your combat pilots for Gripen are white, and some old men whites ready to retire....Soweto Black Mutant brains CANNOT fly a 4th Generation jet fighter......same story we hear about your Valour frigate and Submarines, one set of crews for each vessel, 1 Frigate 1 Sub is all SAN can deploy to war.
Bank loan can buy you weapons but CANNOT buy you black/coloured btains to operate them . No matter how high a bird can fly it will always come down to roast. |

DictatorZAR: Ok the monkey got a cheap phone now he thinks he can argue with humans.
What was the percentage of access to basic services pre 1994 less then 30% of the entire country.
Secondly how big was the economy in pre 1994 compared to now.
Its funny how you fools talk about load shedding yet you have less then 20% of South Africa's entire electricity production even under load shedding you still have less power only stinking generators.
For over 60 years Nigeria still don't have a functional railway nor even a world class airport. Now please go to your romance section, and while you at it go fetch water from your bore hole its getting late, my little waterway sh@it.

Henry120: If you actually understood English, you wouldn't really be asking me this question.
-Radar difference is 10km in favour of the Gripen, just slightly better than the JF-17 block 1.
- JF-17 block 1 has a range of 1350 KM, much much better than the Gripen
- speed Mach 1.8 to Mach 2 in favour of the Gripen C/D
- the JF-17 has a better radar down look detection.
- the JF-17 has 7 harpoints to the 8 on the Gripen
- the JF-17 is way more manoeuvrable than the Gripen
- the Gripen has a slightly better thrust than the JF-17.
- the G limit is 8 to 8.5 in favour of the Gripen.
If these specifications do not represent an Aircraft that is just as good as the Gripen, and provide the bang-for-the-buck, then you mental limitations not mine.
Aircrafts cost
Gripen: $68 million a unit
JF-17 : $25- 30 million a unit. Despite all that you say, Gripen remains the best fighter of the century. |

France's soldiers ran away from German army, it is human beings that show cowardice, NOT tanks and armoured vehicles you fool !
100% Russian troops defeated German army, NO SINGLE AMERICAN soldier helped Russia in Stalingrad.
When you argue about the bravery or cowardice shown by men at war, weapons inportation has nothing to do with it.

agaugust: We are talking modern war, here dude. Not world war II era.
WW1 and WW2 were NOT South African led wars, they were European-American wars, Nigeria too fought against Germany and Japan in those wars, did you see me list it here ?
Korea is an American/UN war, and ended in near victory for North Korea/China leading to stalemate, how is that a South African victory?
Glory thieves art thou, Soweto burglars !
Angolan border war was a near victory for Cuba, leading to a stalemate, Cuba too claims victory.
Show us a South African led war with South Africa having UNDISPUTED VICTORY in your country's military history. . SA has a rich military history that thrives way back when Nigeria was not even existent. Nigeria has never challenged a fully fledged military on a battle stage other than poorly armed rebels. They are still fighting rebels to this day and have as well called upon three countries to help them defeat Boko Haram, A poorly armed Islamic rebels. SANDF led a UN peace enforcement intervention brigade in Congo and have successfully defeated rebels. |

lezz: Now your brain is as low powered like eskom power plant that has turned your cities into candle lights.
Since when did the Anglo dutch spared coloured meat? Since when did a racially minded white country regard the coloured man as his equal?.
You, my boy are more or less a spear wielding Zulu of which my ancestors ensured they left those caves and trees into civility.
The average Zulu is out of touch with the world.
You have also a false sense of your worth.
You mean Zulus are the most sophisticated blacks in Africa? Lolz, a group of people whose culture is to murder foreigners in cold blood? And loot them blind?
People who rape infants in a superstitious belief it cures HIV?
People who were the last freed slaves on mother planet? Who lost all their father's land to 7% white settlers?
People who are 80% of the population and left the economy to 7% whites.
Sophistication must mean something entirely different in zulu-dom. Look here you black tire. Nigeria is permanently on load shedding. Your power stations are permanently on low capacity to supply a population of 180 million. So, what do you know about electricity? You depend on generators which cannot even run the whole day. Even if we suffer constant load shedding, that would happen only once or twice a week and that would only be for three hours. You dont have electricity at your home and just admit that Zulus are far sophisticated than you. What is this thing you call colzulu? You are just a rat. You bush smelling black tire. Many of you in Nigeria including yourself will call me a white man just by looking at me not even noticing I am a mixed blood between the Malay cape and Irish. |

agaugust: War is war.
Britain and France are world powers, they are two powers that lost to one power.
Why did Russia not lose to same Germany the way 3 million British and French troops ran away and abandoned the whole nation ?
Great Britain and France were world rulers at that time with colonial empire spanning from Africa to Asia, yet they lost France to Germany in few months of Combat.
War is war, France lost it's entire country fighting at home.
If Nigeria is to be blamed for 'losing' 2% of it's land for 6 months, France should be crucified for losing their whole nation for 4 years even with British help in battle . War between government troops is totally different to that of fighting lightly armed rebels. The war between two governments usually result in a huge collateral damages. |

patches689: This argument is ridiculous
Rag tag rebels defeated your army and caused them to flee in womans clothing
The most powerfull military in the world at that time, a military so powerfull it took an alliance of over 17 countries and 20 MILLION dead Allied soldiers to defeat defeated an unprepared France and England.
Your army was defeated at home by rag-tag rebels - over 46 bases were overrun! men were forced to flee in womans clothing! Civilians abandoned! over 500 soldiers fled into Cameroon for safety! And yet you try to say SANDF are cowards?

agaugust: 100 Nigerian peace keeping troops used AK-47 and light arms to fight 1,000 heavily armed Sudanese rebels and we refused to surrender, we did not wait for any mandate to shoot, we apply the UN universal law of peace keepers self defense.
SANDF have right to defend themselves and fight in Sudan if attacked, you fool ! You failed BSc Military Science exams right ?
Why is it that everytime SANDF faces a combat challenge the story ends with excuses of why SANDF refused to fight, all time it's excuses and excuses and excuses and excuses evrytime, so how do we test your SANDF capability to rank you among the strongest military in Africa?
You cowards want to be ranked top military power in Africa by displaying photos on Nairaland ? You cannot fight real war
By now fully armed SAAF Gripen jets should be on stand by for any emergency in Congo DRC by now as a warning to Sudan.
Even Nigeria that has Alpha jets refused to have Ivory Coast attack our citizens while we looked, we flew jets into Abidjan ready to fight !
SANDF....SAAF....Excuses all the time....Excuses of why your military CANNOT rise up to any challenge, even in Kruger Park you lose at home !
. Thanks, You have just said poorly armed Sudanese rebels and not heavily armed Sudanese government troops. That's a huge difference You better use your head next time. |

agaugust: 3 million British and French troops abandoned the whole nation of France in battle and ran away by sea in 1940, they lost the whole nation of France in battle to Germany. Same British and French troops came back 4 years later in 1944 to fight again and won back the whole of France by defeating Germany. That is what Nigerian army has done with the 2% of our land 'lost' to Boko Haram, we came back to fight and capture everything back 6 months later and we wiped out the Bokos in 45 days world record of combat. Israel and Egypt is praising the Nigerian army today, but who is praising South African army ? Nobody . I guess that was a high intensity conventional war that involved two countries, not some poorly armed rebels chasing fully fledged government troops out of their own country of birth. Egypt and Israel are not praising Nigerian military, they both all facing the same problem, that's all. They both know that they have armies bigger and more capable that cowards found in west Africa called Nigerian army. |

agaugust: Show us source that says Nigerian troops at the UN Base surrendered to Sudanese rebels.
Here, sources clearly say South African troops decided to surrender to Sudanese fighters once the shooting started
Pretoria - More than 800 terrified South African soldiers in Sudan feared the worst when their camp was surrounded by Sudanese troops.
"In order to save lives, we would have surrendered if they stormed us." a South African soldier told News24."
http://m.news24.com/news24/SouthAfrica/News/SA-troops-in-Sudan-feared-the-worst-20150617
. Agaugust, peace keeping force is not a combat force. The number of the weapons they are carrying is decided on by someone. It is only makes sense to surrender to government troops when you have only a limited fire. However, is only cowards who would attack peace keepers. The person who reportedly uttered such words of surrender is not a commander and it is only the commander who concede defeat. That guy was only speaking his mind and his words meant nothing. Same as in Bangui, the French had veto to decide howany weapons we bring in the country since our mission was to train government troops and the French had to reinforce peace. |

lezz: my Zulu butt scratching gorilla, what Nigeria gave anc is worth over 60billion dollars, you Soweto maggot. I have posted that source when you were on a pap break.
Zulu south Africa is an embarrassment to Every breathing black man on the green planet.
A place where 7% whites own 85% of the economy and run 80% of your ancestral land. You are a living, walking , breathing failure unfit to be counted among humanity.
You are of the very lowest of the Human specie with no heritage. You live for the fulfillment of your sensual pleasures: rape, xenophobia, drug sniffing (which we gladly supply you), looting of foreigner's property and homicide.
Slavery, economic dependency, incompetence, destitution and illiterate military personal are all a byword for Zulu in the 21st century.
WE FREED YOU. That $60 billion is worth more than Nigeria today. Dont tell me about the GDP because it is not a concrete money it is just an estimation in monetary terms of how much potential the economy of one country has. The ANC has never had anything above that in its over 100 years of existance and even today they have no such money. Nigeria on the other hand as well does not have that sum even if I can request it, there is no even one single institution in Nigeria that would ever offer me that much. If that sum is so difficult to organise at this present I would wonder how difficult it must have been to raise during those yesteryears when Nigeria was as poor as Ethiopia during draught. Biafra was even worse with children dying from malnutrition. Our comrades they once told us that there is no greater liar on the continent like a Nigerian. They told us that telling lies is part of the DNA of a Nigerian. |

lezz: hahaha, that's like saying you are a slave to shaka the zulu
And like the Russians were slave yo Lenin .hoho try again.
The Anglo dutch made sure you were confined to trees and caves. Your most luxurious assets were Zulu bush hut. I am a coloured and have never suffered any wraths of apartheid. My family is mixed from whites (Irish), coloureds of the Malay cape and Zulus to a lesser extent. Apart from what I have just mentioned, apartheid was not as bad as it was said to be. Whites never restricted Blacks to caves. They still offered them free decent houses, electricity to those who could afford to pay for it, telephone lines as a pay user. SA Blacks were the most sophisticated blacks in the whole of Africa at the time. In fact, the only discriminative part about apartheid was the crafting of law that sought to separate amenities. The law that divided SA into various cultural and language groups. That as a result created whites only areas that received much of the attention in terms of development. Still, the whites only areas where not further away from what we know as townships which were predominantly black. Another thing is that do you know that slums were not allowed during apartheid. There were only few of them and were restricted to that number and elsewhere in the country, there were zero slums. |
