Simulator is NOT real aircraft.

Hawk and Gripen cockpits are very very different.

Speed and mechanical performance also are different.

Gripen pilots trained on Hawk as lead-in trainer, but after leaving the flying school for many years, they have NO qualifying hours to fly Hawk.

The Hawk pilots have NEVER flown a supersonic jet or have tried for a while and stopped, they are NOT qualified to fly Gripen, no hours !

Fool, this man is gonna cause air crashes by interchanging unqualified pilots o !
.
Who spoke of a simulator? Surely, that is not me

A Nigerian and his limited mental capability again. Man were you ever been to America? I guess you should have known the difference between a simulator and to simulate. Those are two different things. I should have used another word instead like the avionics have been "configured" to those of gripens. Simulators do not even fly and the hawks trainer is not a simulator but a jet. It is a training platform for all gripen pilots.

Your judiciary issued a court order and one man violated it, your 200,000 Southie security forces could not effect an arrest !

A slap on the face of South African court system, remember the Nigerian weapons money $15 million that your court sized, you cowards also released that money back to Nigeria out of fear. We bought MRAP and SAMIL trucks with the cash you siezed and boasted to spend for christmas, but fear of Nigeria made 50 million South Africans tremble and handover our money shocked shocked

South Africa fears everybody :

1. Fears Nigeria
2. Fears Seleka rebels
3. Fears Rhino Poachers
4. Fears Sudan
5. Fears everbody.....50 million cowards

Sudan too has slapped the mouth of South Africa big time..... shocked shocked
Bwahahahaha…

South Africans despises ICC.

1.Do you means Nigerians who are kicked left right and centre by South Africans in down town Johannesburg.

2.Seleka rebels who lost 800 souls.

3.Rhino poachers who takes pleasure at butchering animals rather than people. I call them cowards.

4.We will never allow any African be prosecuted by ICC

You have 9 Pilots, and of that number only 6 are actually qualified to fly that Jet.
Bwahahahaha…

Those claims of nine pilots were brought about by certain Maynier of DA. The shadow minister of defence of the opposition party. Mr Maynier is not allowed in Defence meetings as he is a self proclaimed of the so called shadow minister of defence. We do not have such portfolio in out government.

Look here he is contradicting himself. Admitting that SA has over 31 combat pilots.

The truth is now out SA combat pilots. Read.

http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3594&Itemid=350

Maynier says the reply to his question shows that 48% of posts for combat pilots are vacant (29 of
60 posts). It takes seventeen months to train up a combat pilot.

In addition, 58 of 167 helicopter pilot posts (34%) are currently vacant. He adds that it takes
sixteen months to train a helicopter pilot.

Furthermore, 30% of posts for transport pilots are vacant (48 of 156 posts) "and it takes twelve
months to train transport pilots."

Case Closed.

Who says you have more than 9?
It is because we know we have more than 9, in fact, far more than that.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:38pm On Jun 16, 2015
Henry120:
When did you sign the Gripen Contract?

It sure as hell didn't take Czech republic 16 years to raise 9 Pilots for their Gripens.
2015-2010=5, In fact, Gripens have only four years in SA. In Nigerian maths, 2015-2010=16. Bwahahaha…

Good, so you now realize data-link is NOT a weapon but a mere communication network. Cool....it's nothing big thenj.

Hey, before tactical data-link was developed in the year of service, do inbuilt datalinks for each quipment connect and work within their military or not ?

QUOTE : Multi-TDL Network (MTN) refers to the network of similar and dissimilar TDLs integrated through gateways, translators, and correlators to bring the air, land, and sea common tactical picture and/or common operational picture together.

Now the countries of the world who do not use tactical data-links but have data-links on their various individdual equipment, does their army, navy and air force communicate effectively or not ?

#Trap
.
Because a communication tool does not mean is not important. We all know that cellphone is not a weapon but it can facilitate criminal activities to run smooth and so is tactical data link. It is a system that helps all weapon platforms to interact with each other in coordination and achieve the objective perfectly.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has zero tactical data link.

why don't you do yourself a favor and give us evidence that you have more than 9 pilots.

bloody mor0n
That's unnecessary because what you should know is that hawks pilots = Gripen pilots.

In November 1998, the South African Air Force ordered 28 Gripen multi-role aircraft (19 single-seat and nine dual-seat). Denel Aviation of South Africa will produce part of the centre fuselage. The first flight was in November 2005 and deliveries began in April 2008 and will conclude in 2012. Four aircraft were officially handed over to the SAAF in September 2008. The fifth aircraft was delivered in November 2008.
http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/gripen/

don't you have to train an air crew before recieving deliveries of fighters?

we don't take you seriously. you are a liar.

a dumb one at that
We did sir and the manufacturers allowed only six to be trained on the platform and who will in turn train others. We don't know anything about their daily activities as many pilots have already tested the gripen. The hawks are only used as a training platform.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:18pm On Jun 16, 2015
Henry120:
I understand you have challenges, so i'll make this as simple as possible for you.

When was the Gripen contract signed?
Signing of the contract means nothing because the actual Gripens were not manufactured yet. It takes years to manufacture military hardwares, that's why Nigeria always opt for second hand materials
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:10pm On Jun 16, 2015
stillchris:
sorry we dont take you seriously.

give evidence and stop the mouthfarts
I quote:

RSA Hawk Lead-In Fighter Trainer (LIFT)

BAE Systems delivered 24 Hawk Mk120 Lead In Fighter Trainers to South Africa where they are operated by the South African Air Force’s 85 Combat Flying School at Air Force Base Makhado. South Africa’s Hawks are used for training Gripen pilots and weapons officers. The Hawk aircraft have been configured so that their cockpits and systems closely resemble those on the Gripen advanced fighter.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/rsa/hawk.htm

SO, HAWKS ARE ONLY USED AS A TRAINING PLATFORM FOR GRIPENS.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 11:59am On Jun 16, 2015
The gripens were first introduced in SA airspace in 2010. This is contrary to what the slowpoke Henry insinuated by suggesting that gripens have 16 years in SA.

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 11:51am On Jun 16, 2015
Henry120:
The 9 Gripen Pilots can also fly the hawk. Hawk pilots who haven't been trained on the Gripen cannot fly the Gripen.

SAAF only has 9 Gripen Pilots.
SA hawks have avionics that simulate those of gripens. It is a very easy task for pilots to cross floor to other platform like gripens and that's what they do from time to time.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 11:39am On Jun 16, 2015

dumb he-goat

only those seated at the first two rows

and you did read where he mentioned HAWKS pilots didn't you.

Dullard

thought your initial question was crew attending briefings too
Only those sitting where? Bwahahahaa… look at this black tire. Stop making a joke of yourself. Gripens and Hawks are now made to operate same avionics so as to enable pilots to fly the same platforms. The pilots can fly the same platforms interchangeably depending on their hours.

Thanks, the story says "South Africa wanted to show big power, your court judge ordered the Sudanese leader's arrest, he snubbed your law in your own face in your own country, he slapped J.acob Zum.a in the mouth and walked to Pretoria airport, boarded aircraft, flew out and 50 million South African people, your judiciary, police, president, parliament, and law enforcement agents could not effect a South African court order of arrest inside South African territory."

shocked shocked shocked
I am personally happy that Sudanese President was not arrested. All South Africans are happy for that move.

South Africa is not a puppet of the imperialist called ICC. That's all. Let African problems be solved by Africans. The ICC is just a western machine used to prosecute only Africans when the atrocious mongers like George Bush and Tony Blair are left to scot free.

Dullard

where in that fantacised article does it say you have more than 9 pilots?

dumb he-goat
Look at this handicapped man, so if you count those fighter pilots on the image, they make the sum of nine isn't? Those are not even the total of SANDF fighter pilots.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:29am On Jun 16, 2015
Henry120:
Fighterpilot's comments are always disgraceful! For a person who claims to work for the SAAF, i don't need to look further to see why they only have 9 Gripen Pilots after 16 years.
Bwahahahahaa… what an impudence!!! an utter ignorance exhibited by my fellow Nigerian. You are such a black tire and next time you must make a concise research before you think of putting your dirty fingers on that keyboard.

SANDF received their first batch of gripens in 2010 and this year is 2015. So, tell me since when is 2015-2010=16 years, well perhaps that will be the answer in Nigerian mathematics.

Read this and stop fooling yourself around.

It operates ONLY on Valour frigates, Submarines, and Hawk jets. Not all other equipment that exist in SANDF.

Also NOTHING shows that SANDF has it for the army, only some navy vessels and air force aircraft.

The claim made here was that ALL equipment in South African military including artillery and vehicles have Link.ZA data-link, that is FALSE !

Nothing special anyway, NAF was doing real time data-link of Boko Haram combat situational awareness, command and control from Sambisa forest and other battle zones directly in real time video display 700 km away to Abuja military HQ command centre.

Also, your data-link has NEVER been tested in combat or war, the World Cup is a sporting event for football fans grin grin
.
All of that was in 2010 and as in 2015 it was mandatory for all SANDF equipments to be integrated on the system including the army's ISTAR cytoons. The LINK- ZA continues to evolve beyond expectation.

Tactical data link is not a weapon that will need to be tested in a battle in order to convince prospective buyers. It is just a mere communication network. Your insinuation is tantamount of asking someone if a certain television will work during war or not. Well but that was only an example. Data link does not need to be battle tested because it is just purely a communication network that integrate all the military platforms to work as a unit. I didn't expect such a low, layperson attitude out of you, because you always pretend to know a lot. You see, Google will never teach you everything about military hardwares, rather you will need to go to school.

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has left South Africa, a Sudan minister said on Monday, defying a Pretoria court order for him to remain in the country until it ruled on an application for his arrest.

Bashir, who was attending an African Union summit in South Africa, has been indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) over war crimes and crimes against humanity."

You want other people to post citations for you, yet you NEVER post one citation upon many requests to prove your own claims.

ATR-42 radar is 407 km range. Confirmed for NAF.

You say it's Seaspray radar on ATR-42, I asked for citation, you ran away.....keep running.....keep telling lies...
Gripen's radar range is 500km as confirmed by SANDF.
