nigerian army new weapon in kaduna city...Grippen Jet Destroyer & Anti-missile Weapon

The Type 90 twin-35mm anti-aircraft artillery (AAA) is a Chinese copy of the Swiss Oerlikon GDF, one of the world’s most capable low-altitude air defence weapon systems. The weapon was designed to engage high-speed, low-flying aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and cruise missiles. A tracked self-propelled variant of this weapon has also been produced and tested but it did not enter the PLA service. The Type 90 replaced the obsolete Type 65 and type 74 twin-37mm AAA to provide field air defence for the ground forces at the division and group army level.

The Type 90 was first revealed to the public during the 1999 National Day parade held in Beijing.

Type 90 is much more advanced in terms of technology and capability. Once set up, the AAA system can be operated by one person. The autoloader make it possible to feed and fire all the ammunition available on the gun without manual intervention. The system’s reaction time to an airborne target is only 6 seconds, and the whole system can be set up or retreated within 90 seconds.

The Type 90 includes a computer controlled electro-optical director for 3-dimensional target tracking in conjunction with the laser range finder. The Type 902 (Chinese copy of the Skyguard) millimetre-wave target searching radar has a detection range of 8,000m. The AAA system can work either in conjunction with the Type 902 fire control radar or autonomously. A typical battery using the Skyguard radar consists of two twin 35 mm gun platforms with a single fire control radar. In addition, the 35mm guns are also highly lethal against ground targets.

The fire-control unit used by the Type 90 was based on the improved Skyguard-II, which differs from the basic variant Skyguard in that it has two tracking systems, first a Type 902 target searching radar and second electro-optical passive tracking director. The electro-optical tracking system uses high-resolution optical/infrared TV for passive tracking

The advantage of continuing tracking without emitting radar signals increases its survivability when facing enemy anti-radiation missiles (ARMs).

agaugust: photo of prince harry son of the queen of england in war zone of afghanistan in public newspapers and free internet. no secrets about faces at war zones unless you are special ops, commandoes, espionage ops, etc. most soldiers on the war front are the'expendable' and form the larger numbers. faces of senior military commanders in hot war zones is all over the internet. no secret except in the categories i stated above.
I have already sent your post for international intelligence purposes to be investigated.

NaijaPikinGidi: Mr. FighterPilot ... now that you can't take the intellectual path ... so you go down low to insults? Spy? In my humble presence you wouldn't dare speak to me like that wearing your uniform. What do you know that I don't already know about the SA Military ... with airbases that can be breached by the highest bidder (like the Guptas)? I remain restrained.
Let me tell you, I am well trained to handle spies like you. You will never surely succeed in fishing information from me. You are just a scout in training. I have long passed that stage

CAMEROONPRIDE: So who wins? SA or naija?
Do you even ask who wins? That trash that agaugust has written is not even a simulation.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:57am On Jun 03, 2013
agaugust: open faces of Nigerian soldiers and other countries soldiers in combat zones are freely available and visible on internet, televisions, newspapers etc including prince Andrew son of queen of England in combat zone of Afghanistan, no secrets.
I don't blame you, you know nothing about intelligence.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:53am On Jun 03, 2013
agaugust: You actually have almost zero battle field tactics in your h.ead sir, I know a competent combat soldier when he talks...by their fruits you shall know them.
That which you have written and fraudulently claimed it to be a war simulator above is a clear indicator of your ignorance and that you know nothing about military weaponry. That was just a sign that I would clearly be dealing with a small boy instead of knowledgeable chap. I will never sell my country for just a mere ignorant civilian like you. There are many spies who now and then peep in this forum.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:38am On Jun 03, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Mr. FighterPilot stop your nonsense! I've had enough of your condecending attitude. You continuously fail to show better reasoning. With what Agaugust has put forward not even a dint of Nigerian Military strategy or information has been compromised. Hiding behind your lack of war simulation ideas and shiny weapons will not win you any battles. Sometimes, the real wars ever fought and won are "wars of the minds". Clearly, you must be living in a cocoon at Thaba Tshwane. Show your intellect!
Go away, I will never betray my honour. Only fools will fall in your trap you bloody spy!!!!
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 12:13am On Jun 03, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Mr. FighterPilot I honestly can't believe your response! Rather than shrink from the challenge of a counter war simulation, an intelligent person with supposed military training and experience will squarely rise to the occassion to show superior strategy. For your information there isn't a war between Nigeria and South Africa and the chances of one occurring is almost zero, hence the fear of divulging strategy is unfounded. Do you understand the word "simulation"? If truly your "position and that of Agaugust are completely different, since he is just a mere civilian who educated himself about military through internet" would it not be up to you as a "military guru" to clearly show what the differences are? You assume that Agaugust's military knowledge is limited, yet your views remain confined to a knowledge-base much more limited than his. When did you actually join the SA Military Force?
Agaugust has never been a soldier and so he would have been briefed about espionage. This is a media forum and surely is not a platform where we should be deliberating about military strategies of our countries. Not even in soccer will the other coach of the opposition divulge his game plan to the other team. I will only excuse aguagust because he has never been trained as a soldier that's why he would reduce any war to just the tunes of a chess game.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 11:53pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Mr. FighterPilot, can the same be said of the images of faces of SA Army personnel posted all over this thread? Just asking?
Most of SA photos shows equipment and military exercises rather than soldiers posing before the camera.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 11:40pm On Jun 02, 2013
Henry120: Nigerian army
@Henry- What you doing has the potential of endangering the security of those that you are openly showing their faces. I will advice you to stop showing people's faces, because it's very risky. Be warned that intelligence exist everywhere.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 11:29pm On Jun 02, 2013
agaugust: @Fighter Pilot, you are NOT a combatant soldier...by their fruits you shall know them, your duty is just administrative paper work.
Agaugust- officer is ofcourse carrying out administrative work and has a vast knowledge about art of war and military law. Officer's formative/training is different to that of NCO's which is more into combat but that does not mean that officers cannot carry riffles and assist comrades in arms to fire. We are leaders in any combat and assist in planning defensive as well as offensive approach. Your performance of trying to display your military knowledge is rather immature, satirical and full of childish rantings. Do you even know what is war simulation before we touch everything else? LMFAO!!!

YOU ARE SUCH A DISGRACE!!! Military prowess of any country can never be limited to the borders of a page of a book. Hahaha!!!
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 10:47pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Mr. FighterPilot ... it is obvious who is ranting! Of course war planning in the real world is very complex ... requiring both PHYSICAL and ABSTRACT approaches. The ABSTRACT is the precursor to the PHYSICAL, otherwise defeat is waiting in the flanks. A military school graduate of your acclaimed calibre should be able without much stress and thinking to offer a counter measure that is superior in planning and execution to at least rubbish a your so-called "school boys" attempt at a Nigeria vs South Africa war simulation.

Need I mention again that intellect and intelligence will never fade/give way for insults!? Debate and show your real worth! You still don't get it.
Generally what you are asking of me is impossible sir. Talk less of war games we are not allowed to divulge our war strategy to enemies. My position and that of Agaugust are completely different, since he is just a mere civilian who educated himself about military through internet. His knowledge about military is very limited and can only deceive those who have never set their foot on military base.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 10:11pm On Jun 02, 2013
@A4Naija-can you please give us any source which reported that South African soldiers were running away?in my case I can cite for you many sources which will point out that SA soldiers fought viciously and overpowered over 3000 rebels to the extent that they raised the white flag.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:56pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: SELEKA boys were poorly equipped yet SA Army had to run on their heels? Interesting! Rebels without the compliment of Navy, Airforce and Special Forces still fight wars and defeat/hold-off organised armies! Talk with some intellect please ...
Hello!! I got the first hand information from those who were there. My base is where soldiers took off and land after deployment. Those are just the lies that I don't know what source you found them from. Our soldiers remained in their base until they received the signal to leave CAR. The rebels were the ones who were running around crying like babies looking after mummies. Heaven knows that those who raised the flag first were the rebels and surely not SANDF. Our force had an Airforce back-up on neighbouring countries after the battle, in case the rebels wanted to strike again.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:39pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: At the level of the arguments here on this thread, what is your counterposition to professionally show or reveal Agaugust's unprofessionalism and satire? A discerning mind would look at that simulation and provide a better counterplan even if for satirical reasons (according to you). Your comment quoted above is an example of the typical demeanour in most South Africans when it concerns any engagement with "non-South African Africans". I am struggling to restrain myself from using the information at my disposal. But you must keep laughing ... it's healthy for your current state of mind.
What makes me laugh is that simulation is something that we cannot experiment here. Is a complex phenomena which requires more of a physical than abstract approach. That which agaugust has done above is unfortunately tantamount to rantings of a school boy who is still undergoing adolescent stage.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:25pm On Jun 02, 2013
One country's force is well armed than rebels and insurgents and has a licence to buy weapons legitimately. Rebels in most of the times are poorly equipped and find it hard to procure arms since they are classified as militia and have no licence to trade arms other than by smuggling. Moreover, rebels are not fully established force with Airforce, Navy and special forces brigades.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:05pm On Jun 02, 2013
andrewza: the war in angola
Thanks Andrew. Nigeria has never fought Country vs Country war. What is so difficult for these people to understand? One country's force cannot be reduced to the level of insugents, pirates, rebels and civil war.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 8:50pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Let's have some intelligent military talk and debating here!! Can someone please offer a South African counter simulation? AndrewZa, DefenceWeb, FighterPilot ... anyone one there in Mzansi?
Is that the work that you are so much bragging about? Your aguagust still has a lot to learn? I promise you, aguagust with that mindset will encounter a lot of boobytraps and elements of surprise. Wow this is unbelievable!!!!! Is that what you call simulation? Do you by any chance comprehend what war simulation is all about. That which Agaugust has done above is unprofessional and satirical. Hahahaha!!! LMFAO!!!
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 8:06pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Mr. FighterPilot, your response begs the question regarding Agaugust's Nigeria vs. South Africa war simulation that I pointed to! I'd like to remind you here that the essence of debating is not about hurling words at random just to duck an opponent's views. I gather that you are a member of the SA military and would therefore expect that you'd use your "knowledge" of military and warfare tactics to propose a Nigeria vs. South Africa war simulation that trumps Agaugust's. You'd need to "impress" readers here by flaunting a "bit" of your special military intellect, moreso by way of a counter war simulation. Kindly give us the readers something to marvel about your military qualification.
I'd only be a fool to disclose our military tactics since that is an information that should be meticulously guarded against landing in the wrong hands. Our inventory is however not a secret to anyone and there is no doubt about it that it has an upper hand over that of Nigeria. I have vast intelligence about Nigerian arsenal and is really disappointing. That country really need to invest a lot in their defence.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 7:42pm On Jun 02, 2013
Wow!!!Even the shadow minister of defence of South Africa from the opposition party noted it before his party. Opposition parties even want to score cheap points by claiming that we are the intruders. They asserted that we employed our imperialist tendencies encouraged by greed and invaded the space of other country and only to kill scores of people.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) which is the biggest opposition party in South Africa noted the Killing of over 800 rebels in CAR after the ambush of SA soldiers. Read the full story below;

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 7:24pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Initially, the official South African figures of their military casualties was pegged at 13 men. At the time also the South African figure of SELEKA casualties was put at about 300. But we now note new discrepancies of 15 SA soldiers to 800 SELEKA men? What more has yet to be declared factually? An independent Red Cross, AU, or UN account of casualties will be a tenable estimate/account.
The figure was thirteen and one Sergeant later passed away from injuries while he was nursing at home after he was discharged from 3 Military Hospital.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 7:18pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Please, Mr. FighterPilot, on what indices has your assumptious comment been based? Until the SA Military shows the level of past and current war experience and results that the Nigerian Military have garnered under their flanks, you are only showing the very nature of hopless ignorance I had highlighted ealier. In fact, "young and upcoming" are words synonymous with the SA Military after their embarrassing SELEKA routing in CAR!
South Africa was never embarrassed and not by any inch. We stand firm and resolute with a great relief that we managed to knock down hundreds of them without any hardship until they finally begged down with us to stop fire. The message is simple. "SANDF IS NOT A TOY TO PLAY WITH"
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 7:09pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: Sometime back, Agaugust took out time to share a Nigeria vs. South Africa war simulation which I think he did fairly well. Sadly, I waited and am still waiting for a counter simulation that thwarts or defeats what he layed-out! That should be the level of engagement we should have as debaters on this thread ... using factual data and figures to buttress our arguments. All the preposterous ranting and raving about non-issues can never be an acceptable substitute for ignorance and lack of imagination necessary to craft a credible and intelligent argument. Education can be paid for but commonsense appears more expensive these days!
One thing that Aguagust surely forgot to mention was the kind of weapons the two countries use and the modernisation of their weaponry which SA undoubtedly has an upper hand. South Africa uses one of the latest home-made technology than any country in Africa.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:48pm On Jun 02, 2013
andrewza: Do you under stand a real war, has nigeria ever had there command and control system shut down by hostile EW operations. Somthing SA is well trained in doing. Has nigeria ever fought a combined arms battle where both side used combinded arms. Has it ever had to fight a real modern army not some rebel force.
NIGERIAN military is very much inexperienced. From the first time I joined this forum I have been singing this song that they are young and upcoming.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:36pm On Jun 02, 2013
NaijaPikinGidi: The lack of knowledge and the unwillingness to embrace new knowledge remains a problem for most South Africans posting on this thread. Having monitored the arguments and counter arguments here for over two months now, I am forced to throw my hat into the ring ... not to insult or trade abuses and falsehoods but to force people to be a lot more empirical and objective with their views and opinions. Such willful and poor show of intellect by most (if not all) South African debaters here, has so far been amusing and irritating at the same time.

Facts are stubborn and will never go away no matter the amount of lies, propaganda and coordinated media bias regarding the true status and capabilities of the Nigerian Military forces. The true strength of a warrior can be very well guaged by the number of recent battles and fights he has encountered and won convincingly. A war-tested General and his troops are a more credible proposition to me than an arm-chair General and troops who have not been in a recent battle even with the "best" weaponry and military arsenals. Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cote d'ivoire, Mali, and even Togo bear the mark of Nigeria's military efforts in Africa to restore peace and democratic rule in the past 10 - 15 years. Ask questions about these efforts and you'll find answers of shared valour and commitment to pan-African peace and socio-economic progress through strength as a Nation and our connectedness as African people.

Like it or not these are facts that can never be wished away by South Africa or any other country on the face of planet earth! To the South African debaters (AndrewZa, FigterPilot, SAEngine, DefenceWeb, ZetDee, and the others who left recently out of exhaustion) I'd advise that you drop the irrelevancies in your arguments and employ your intellect where necessary by citing reliable sources and proofs that can withstand the counter sources and positions that Agaugust, Henry120, HomeRac7, Patriot4, All4Naija, Fynline, SoulDust, LtShangy, Sambos994, and many others have provided. That is the mark of intelligent debating.

Going forward, I will gladly challenge any ignorant posts from South Africa with factually superior arguments backed by impeccable citations and sources. My global experiences and professional background at this point is not relevant, but I have the "access code" to South African information that should help educate you South African debaters. So many people perish for lack of knowledge. And so far, South Africa's cummulative knowledge of Nigeria and the rest of Africa is so jaundiced!

Until proven otherwise, an unknown quantity "x" will always equal zero.
I do not blame you to stand for your fellow countrymen. Your statement above is very biased.

Augustine Again: ..

was your south african political party on ground right inside the battle zone of the seleka rebels vs south african army fire fight ? even your south african army ran away for their lives, so which one of you south africans actually counted the number of dead seleka rebels ? simple common sense...tell us the name the person that did the counting of the dead seleka rebels on the bloody battlefield where soweto's soldiers ran away.

"General Hassan Ahmat, commander of the 558-strong Brigade Rouge, said in Bangui this week that he and his seleka rebel men had killed at least 36 South African soldiers and captured 46, releasing them soon afterwards."

weblink source http://www.dispatch.co.za/rebels-claim-more-sa-soldiers-died-in-car/
It doesn't matter how you put it with a view of feeding your frenzy. The fact is this matter was even tabled before our parliament by various political parties trying to score some cheap points by asserting that we have invaded the space of other country only to kill their people. Believe or not, we do not force you to fall for it. I have people that I know who were also deployed to CAR.

If you were clever enough you would have known that Dictionaries and encyclopedia make use of any words even slangs. In South Africa words such as Eitha (Hello) which is Tsotsi(slang) language are even found in dictionaries and encyclopedia today.

I wouldn't blame you because English is not your mothers tongue, that's why you would rather prefer pidgin like a Chinese trying to spell pigeon which makes a lot of sense. We English speakers we generally refer to that Pidgin or Pijjin simply as pigeon English.
