FamilyRe: My Wife Has Changed Negatively, Please Advice Me. by Finestlex(m): 12:30pm On Apr 20, 2013
Okon.akpan:
My wife and I have been married for about two years now with a son, we reside in Calabar and I work at Eket. I spend some weeks at work due to the nature of my work. We dated for more than a yr before we married but knew and dated when we were in the university for few months. When we were dating, she was nice, respectful, understanding, caring and tolerating.

Things changed when we married, she became hot tempered, impatient, stonehearted, unforgiving, isolates my friends and rants angrily if things are not done her way. She complains whenever I present a gift to her either is too expensive or too cheap (fake). She cannot be pleased or satisfied; its either what I did is too much or not enough. She has issues with neighbours and the previous places we have resided.

She has issues with almost all her siblings, she don't trust anybody not even me, and she suspects anybody when negative incident occurs and thinks everybody around her is diabolic. She is very economical and complains when I spend money on my people but wants me to be spending money on her people and on her. She told me that she don't have feelings for me again which shows in her.

Things became worst when her mother came for child birth visit, she became more aggressive in everything, she nags a lot and would keep on talking for hours even if I decide to ignore her, in-short, the more I ignore her, the more she talks. During any argument between us when I’m at work, she cuts the phone on me and does not answer my calls nor call me for days or weeks until I come back home.

Previously we resolve our differences within a day but this had changed. She wants to do all the talking while I just sit and listen to her, when I speak, she would want to raise her voice on me and as I resist her, she would wear a stony face, snub me and start crying moments later, the snubbing will continue for days.

I need advice from this house on what to do, I can't continue like this. I don't know how my child is; I don't know what is going on in my house as I'm in Off Shore. My wife has changed into what I cannot explain, she want to have the final say in my house and control me but I've refused. What do I do cos, I must confess, it disturbing at work and I don't know the future of our marriage.
. Brotherly, to the best of my knowledge, marriage no be beans. It's only when you get married that you'll know the true colour of your spouse. Marriage is all about "compliments" and not competition. There are challenges in every marriage. Sit her down and trash out the problem. Divorce is not an option here. The vow was and it's still "for better for worse" Learn to manage her. Life is all about growth and experiences. The firewood of this world is for only those who can take heart. Pray about this more often. See your marriage counsellor
RomanceRe: I'm In Love With My Girlfriend, But The Bride Price Is Just Too Much by Finestlex(m): 9:43am On Apr 17, 2013
Anazp: Hello. I have been dating my girl for about five years now. I proposed to her and she agreed to marry me. However after fixing the date from the traditional Wedding, her parents are asking for five million naira as Bride Price. I told my girlfriend to appeal to them to at least reduce it to two million but her parents refuse. They say its an extended family decision like her Uncles and other relatives. I don't understand. I love my girl and she loves me. She's from Orlu, Imo State. I need your advice. Thanks
. Am from imo state and Orlu precisely... Never heard of a thing like this... When my first sister got married, the bride price was 20k only.. Coupled with the drinks, boxes of clothes, food etc.. The only thing that belonged to the elders were the things on the list ie 4packs of cigarette, one pack of maggi, etc.. My dad took only 2k out of the 20k and gave back 18k to my sister's hubby to take care of her daughter.. So which part of Orlu is your shawtry from?

[quote author=Lilimax]Eniola Abiola, a 200L student of Dentistry at the University of Lagos Medical School located at Idi-araba met her untimely death as she drowned at the popular Elegushi Beach in Lagos on Friday the 12th of April 2013.
For the past few years, some UNILAG students have been carried away by the ferrocious waves of the Lagos coast in their bid to relax and catch fun with friends.
Despite this, beach outings remain a popular event amongst students of UNILAG.

May the soul of this beautiful girl that met an untimely death rest in peace and may GOD grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.

This is so sad... I really sympathise with her family for the great loss.. RIP miss Eniola
Jobs/VacanciesRe: On Interview, How Do I Answer The Salary Question? by Finestlex(m): 6:30pm On Apr 15, 2013
Ibekwe7: Tell them what you have in mind,I went for an interview and I was asked this question and i told them that the coy shd ve a stipulated amount they pay for the post I applied for dat I wish to go with the amount,LO and BEHOLD I failed the interview,I met the Hr and he told me I failed cos of what I said, dat I look cheap. He advice me to always say the amount I want and boldly no matter how big the amount is .
. First degree CV is now common, every tom, joystick and harry has one.. Companies always look at what cv do you have that your co-job seekers don't *rating* Before you enrolled for the interview, you should know the kinda company you applied to for a job.. Number one quality of a good product is "price" a good product (finished good) should have a price... If you think you're good, don't be scared to name your price... Be bold to say 150k, 200k, 350k etc (depends on the company's worth and "your worth" ie packaging). The next question the interviewer would ask is, why do you think we should pay you what you named.. This is where the rating comes in.. Defend your quotation by Simply replying " because you've been trained and got certificates on ----- your CVs are the packaging of yourself (name the CVs you have) to be on the winning side "ensure you have at least 4CVs ie "bsc or HND and safety" compulsory.. You should be computer literate maybe niit (very necessary) and one other one (maybe nims, ican to show you're a professional) etc depending on your field.. Tell the interviewer that you're well trained and you're good at what you do and your efforts in the company will prolly maximise their profit.. If the interview time is 9am, be there by 8am.. Punctuality shows sign of seriousness.. Mode of dressing counts, boldness and being audible when you speak is necessary ie speak as if you're in control with (good English).. Relax yourself.. Don't be scared, nobody will beat you.. Have you done the course "Anger management" some interviewers can intentionally piss you off just to know if you can control your anger.. Smile always and be polite in your answering.. NB: the value of time is money.. If you're going for a job interview and you're not putting on a wrist watch, you've started failing already... Goodluck in your next interview..

FamilyRe: Man Impregnates Wife’s Friend 3 Months After Wedding by Finestlex(m): 5:24pm On Apr 15, 2013
bobbyruffy: A randy husband Edwin (surname withheld) at the Junior Staff Quarters, Asaba, Delta State, has put his wife's bosom in the family way three months after wedding.

Reports said Edwin's wife on Thursday last week moved out of her matrimonial home when it was confirmed by the husband's personal doctor that her friend was pregnant for her husband.

Edwin's wife and her friend, were course mates at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ill- Efe, where Edwin, who was then doing his youth service in the area, met her.

It was gathered that, Nneka, as she was identified, made herself useful to her newly married friend who had become pregnant, a situation she allegedly took advantage of by making herself useful in home chores and helping to prepare meals for the man, who is reportedly a senior banker in one of the new generation banks.

The victim, who did not want her name in print, said: "I never knew there was something fishy as I was not suspecting my best friend. But there was a day she told me she was going to check her parents in Ibadan. A day after she left, my husband told me he was billed for an official assignment in Lagos, and would not be back in four days time. My husband returned to Asaba about the same time Nneka came back from her Ibadan trip.

"Two months later, a lady in our estate called me and asked if I observed that Nneka was pregnant. I called her one day to ask her. She opened up, telling me she had actually wanted to tell me but do not know how to approach the matter.

"It was then she opened up, telling that it was the time she traveled to Ibadan, my husband came to meet her and they both slept together for four days."

toofine765: Hi nairalanders, my bis sis who has been married for eight years that confided in me that the husband usually makes love to her every night, that he never beleives that she can be tired. She works and has little kids she is taking care of. She say when ever she compains of tiredness, he gets very angry and leaves the house only to come back after midnight. I could not bring myself to tell her he definatly goes out to sleep with other ladies. My only advice to her was for her to give it to him any time he likes it but I have been veryu unhappy since then. Why will he not understand with her when she is tired? Why does it only have to be about him only? He is just selfish and it makes me sad. She does not want a divorce either because of her children. But I still feel this action of his can still lead to her death one day. Please house members, what do you think is the best advice for her because she is so dear to my heart.
. Its only a jobless married man that can act like this..What does he do for a living if I may ask.. Secondly, Is your sister's hubby a graduate..? She should try giving her hubby sleeping pills sometimes to knock him out..
RomanceRe: Why Do I Seek Dominating & Abusive Men? Is It Normal? by Finestlex(m): 4:26pm On Apr 11, 2013
Mindependent: I am very attracted to guys that are very er...dominant and in a way, bad. Say, abusive, treat you like a posession, jealous, aggressive- IN and OUT the bedroom.

I have been in an abusive relationship and even though I know its wrong and dangerous, It used to excite me when I was threatened or attacked.

I know its really bad, but its the only thing that seems to excite me, like if a guy i like just grabs my wrists or pulls/pushes me against something or tells me what to do it really turns me on (outside the bedroom).

I also have dreams where Im my partners posession and he has full control of my life.

I get really bored of 'normal' guys if they dont seem to have this controlling/possessive streak. I dont know how to break the cycle and its hard to seek out these sorts of guys as its not really something you admit is it.

Is this normal?

Ive also always had a fear of men since I was very young (though im not sure why) but i used to be terrified of older men.

The email...
I understand you are a blogger and the essence of what you do is to report juicy amebor. Unfortunately the last bullshit you posted about my man was not only fictitious but slander to him and our relationship. The nonsense you posted about him being in a "relationship" with that Mbaise prostitute, Chinenye "Beverly Heels" Ukegbu nearly severed my relationship with Flav. It is evident that the Bleep shit you write is not credible. Do you not check your source? I suppose not. If you did you would be fully aware that Chinedu Flavour Okoli is in a committed relationship with no one other than ME. I most likely seen me with Flav whenever Im in Lagos. Regardless of the fact that I am based in the US (Silver Spring Maryland), I try to spend as much time with him in Festac, Nigeria or South Africa. In fact Im currently in Enugu helping him with his new music video for Ada Ada.

Flav and I have been together for over a year now. What we have is unbreakable!!!!!!!!! I am fully aware of that prostitute who self proclaims herself as Flavour's fiancée *rolls eyes*. According to Flavour she's nothing but a hoe who is trying to get a record deal on 2nite enter-10-ment. She does all this shit for publicity. What do you expect from a hoe who lacks talent? She is non existent in his life. He made a mistake and I forgave him when I traveled to Nigeria in February for Valentine's Day. And the makeup was MAGICAL! Anyways sha, I am warning you to stop posting bullshit pertaining to my love Flav or our relationship. AND CORRECT d nonsense you posted on your "blog" about my Flav last month.

RomanceRe: I'm Going To Marry A White Man by Finestlex(m): 9:44am On Apr 11, 2013
Subomi-luv:
I have come to a realisation that it would be best to marry a white man. Ever since i was younger i always felt this attraction to white men, there is just something so sexy and a lil taboo abt white men that i just cannot get out of my system. But its not only physically but mentally too.

White men do not have the same complexes and villager mentality as some of the blk men do. They really know how to make a women feel special and carry their weight around such as helping the lady with chores lovingly, just the way they are also on top of the corporate ladder.

The Alpha males. They strive to be the best and they uplift you and empower you instead of insulting and accussing you of feminism. I was watching a youtube video of britpopprinces with her white husband and the way this guy is damn no blk man would do the same as he does.

Even white men do not have any mishaps abt blk women wearing weaves or being darker or lighter. They see you for yourself. I guess in the past i was shy to admit it. Scared what would ppl say or think. Scared of the stares etc. So i have missed out on some good white guys in the past because of this plus i thought that all just want blk women for one thing. But things are changing, ppl are different.

Dnt judge a person based on hearsay and stereotypes. So women this is now 21st century. Do what you need to do. Date who you want whether white, asian, black, nigerian or non-nigerian. You have only one life to live and be with someone who will make you happy and fit your personality. I love white men and i cannot lie.

FlirtyKaren: After the fatal gang rape of a 23-year-old student on a New Delhi bus last December, 3 Indian engineering students may have found the solution to protecting one's self from rapists.

The students designed this camisole – dubbed Society Harnessing Equipment or SHE – which has pressure sensors sewn in around the bust area to detect groping hands and send out shock which can be up to 82 electric shocks.

Explaining their design, co-inventor Manisha Mohan said: “A person trying to molest a girl will get the shock of his life the moment pressure sensors get activated.”
She explained that she and colleagues Niladri Basu and Rimpi Tripathy decided to put the wiring into the clothing after a survey showed most women were first groped on their breasts. The women are protected from the current by polymer insulation in the bra.

The makers are currently fine-tuning the design - hoping the garment will be on sale by the end of this month.

bright87: My GF was in a relationship when I met her and she admitted it to me, but I was able to dislodge her BF, but she admits that she still feels some little love for her ex- and that I should help her forget her ex-, she feels bad because her ex- didn't do her anything wrong as the guy already knows about us, but she admits that she does love me sincerely and I can conform to that by her actions. So now my question is this, does she feel true love for the both of us ? can it be said that she is in love with two persons at the same time ? Please lets debate.. Mature minds only.. Tnx.. Any reasonable advice on how to help her forget her ex- would be appreciated, she wants me to help her forget him ( I don't need advice on SEX please )

RomanceRe: Where Did I Go Wrong Here?- A True Life Story by Finestlex(m): 12:08am On Mar 27, 2013
Shakslayer: Hello Nairalanders, what am about to relate here just happened over the weekend and it got me so confused, i told a friend of mine, who then asked me to join this forum and narrate my ordeal, i might get useful answers. So here i go.

A few months back, i met a lady on a social networking site, she is a Pharmaceutical student in one of the Universities in the South-South. We got talking, trying to psych up each other's intellectual prowess. i discovered she is a very good communicator, well read and highly versatile in almost every topic (politics, sports, social events, religion etc). She knew a bit about almost everything, and i too, am also an all rounder. So we took a liking to each other.

With each passing day, as expected, the issue of s*ex came up, i told her that i can never put pressure on a woman for s*ex on a first date, no matter how much pressed i am. I'd rather suffer in silence than do that. She said it's a lie, all men are the same, they appear nice and cute on the outside, but the moment a woman come into their life, the demon in them come out. I told her, am different, that the moment am focused on something, am focused, and unless the lady makes me believe she wants s*ex, i'll never ask her for it (on a first date). We both laughed and forgot the issue.

Just last week, i was sent on a strategic training session in her State, and i called her on Friday evening, after classes. She came to my hotel, we hugged, laughed, and said all sorts of nice things to each other (being the first time we're meeting), and we decided to spend the cool evening in a romantic resort. At about 8pm, when it was time to go, i called a cab to take her to her hostel and then take me back to my hotel. She told the cab driver to take us to my hotel first, that she'll pick a cab from there back to her hostel. I agreed. We got to the hotel and she changed her mind, said she would spend the night and go back early Saturday. I was curious, but didnt argue, we both watched SkyNews till about 10pm and decided it was time to sleep, she went to take her bath while i went downstairs to get a recharge card. When i came back, i saw her wearing one of the sexiest, silky pacific-blue lingerie, she was arranging her hair in the bed mirror, immediately, i knew i was in for a huge test, so i complimented her outfit, got my blanket out and made to sleep on the couch. She looked at me with the side of her eyes, mumbled some incoherent words and got into the bed. My mind was heavy and i couldn't sleep. After a while, i heard her faint snoring and immediately knew she has slept, so i forced myself to sleep too.

Early the next morning, she woke up with a chip on her shoulders, i greeted her, she brushed it aside, she made to the bathroom, brushed, took her bath, and in less than 15mins, she was on the elevator going back to her hostel. I was shocked, dumbfounded and too scared to even follow her, i tried to BB her, she has deleted me, i called, she wouldnt take my calls. I came back to Lagos yesterday, still tried calling with the office line, as soon as she hears my voice, she'll drop the call.

So guys, thats my story. Where did i go wrong? I think am attracted to her as much as she is to me. Matured responses would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks
. NEYO- year of the Gentleman.. Kudos man... I hate it when every chick sees every guy as same.. All men can never be the same.. Its all about individual differences... Its not all about bedmatics..
