I don't believe that karma works. I believe that if you offend people, they are likely to offend you in return. If you are able to do something bad and nobody knows about it, I have no doubt that you have gone scot free. You are left with just your conscience.

It's a good point. I guess it's just the psychiatrist and a few others that care what a person believes himself to be.

The classy thing sounds like an over compensation for all the teasing to me. Virginity is not the ideal "trait" to call classy tho. I don't think many people find priests and nuns classy.

What i wrote is common sense. So many people will agree with me on this one cos all men have a "sense" of God in them. Only a fool who has been indoctrinated with lies and nonsense will think otherwise. It is sound reason and very logical if we say that the whole universe was made by someone infinite cos a finite being cannot create everything( including things existing before him) it is preposterous! God's infinite nature is beyond what your finite brain can grasp. I can reason that God exists infinitely and never had a beginning but i may not have physical evidence cos its impossible to but the whole universe and everything that i see point to the fact that there is a God.

It is precisely because God is so infinite that he requires an even bigger explanation. If you require an explanation for how my finite brain came to be, then you must require the mother of all explanations for how an infinite brain came about. Perhaps an infinite explanation is even what is actually required, which would explain why there is no end in sight to the explanations for God.

And for the record i never stated common sense leads to God. If you had read my post well you will see that i said it is lack of common sense to think God does not exist in spite of all evidence around. You are being dishonest if you say there are non.

Is that really common sense? For you, the "well organized and tidied room" is just this universe. For us, it also includes any proposed God. With God, a room is even an understatement. What you have is a stupendous car assembly plant (since God is infinitely great! according to you people), and that stands in bigger need of an explanation than a well organized room. Its faith that leads you to God, not common sense.

I dont expect the rapture to take place tomorrow, I'm not saying you should lock yourself in your room and hide under your bed, I am saying the end time is approaching and the signs spoken of in the Bible is slowly coming to pass. Recognise evil for what it is so that you will not be decieved.

Even then it still means that the end time began less than one or two days after Christ brought the message of salvation.

Even among the apostles of Christ there was a traitor. Yes, not all who call out Lord Lord are true christians, this has been true since the beginning of christianity, however it is much worse now. Before we had true missionaries who were willing to go into the jungle to preach at no profit to themseves, christians who were willing to die for christ if it came to it. can you say the same of today? 1. The breaking of the church into denominations. Some people think this was good so as to make the gospel spread farther. I say a house divided on itself cannot stand.

If you count the catholic church as a denomination, then the first christian denomination was formed about 400 years after Christ died. That's 1600 or so years ago. A bit too early for the end times, if you ask me.

If you don't include the catholic church as a denomination but rather consider it the original church from which others came, then the first christian denomination was formed in the 1500's, which is still rather early for your end time, no?

2. Materialism in the church. Constant seeking of miracles instead of salvation, praying for a brand new car this year instead of purity of spirit, praying for your enemies to die instead of praying for them to find salvation. Tithing to make your pastors wealthy instead of tithing to help the people of God that are needy. Seeking positions in church for worldly recognition instead of looking for people who have a genuine thirst for the conversion and reaping of souls for the harvest.

I submit that you do not know of a time when people went to church solely for salvation/purity of spirit. The congregation have always been that way. Its not a recent development.

3. The sexual revolution. Sex is suddenly nothing to be 'ashamed of'. Sex was never meant to be something to be ashamed of, but it wasn't meant to be public either. Sex is designed to be a private affair. The private parts are hidden by pubic hair and clothing because they are private. Now the more sexually perverse a person is the more he/she is considered to be exhibiting his/her 'freedom' . Pornography is everywhere, in our books, magazines, the internet, movies, even our kids are being corrupted with lewd images in their 'innocent' cartoons. Have you ever wondered why p0rn is so easily available? Its virtually free to browse and download millions of megabytes of porn movies now, not even clips. So much so that many of us cannot even recognise indecent behaviour when we see it in real life.

Stop being a prude. Pourn is easily available is due to the internet, and the nature of the market for pornographic material. Pornography has been around for longer than you can imagine.

4. Cartoons corrupting our kids. This might sound laughable to you but keep an open mind for a moment. Look at the cartoons our children are being shown. Cartoons like 'adventure time' for example. Have you ever watched it? Of course not, you say; its for kids. I advice you to take ten minutes of your time to watch one episode and your will realise it is downright demonic. How about 'the adventures of bill and mandy'? Innocent right? Have you seen the recent episodes? In an episode of SpongeBob squarepants worms are seen coming out of his eyes! What's funny about that?

It does sound laughable. I've seen adventure time, I find it weird and trippy, but not demonic. Billy and Mandy is innocent, though a bit mature. If your kid sees maggots coming out of the head of a dead rat/road kill etc, have they had a demonic experience?

5. Evil is now good while good is evil.
There are new cartoons now that paint heroes in a bad light. Jack and the beanstalk---jack is now the thief while th giant was a friendly giant. Cinderella was actually full of pride and the evil stepmother was simply 'misunderstood'. Here's one that will touch you Disney watchers...remember frozen? That wonderfully inspirational movie that got every girl crying and chanting for female empowerment? The original story os from 'The snow queen'. And Elsa was no 'misunderstood' ice princess. She was a villain, a queen who would freeze little boys hearts and remove all love from them. 'Hans' represents the boy whose heart was frozen but now suddenly in this movie he is the scheming bad prince. Hmn.

There's a movie where angels are depicted as evil overlords and humans are supposed to rise up against them. Hmnn.

Same example can be seen in maleficient, Dracula untold etc etc. They are making it look like evil must have had a good reason for becoming evil. They are making a case subliminally and people don't even know it.

The story teller can choose to write his story however he likes. What you fail to mention is that good tends to triumph over evil in these cartoons. Its not only a matter of who used to be the good guy or who was the bad guy. We all love a happy ending.

6. Identification numbers. Yeah, if we really need them why do they keep changing them? We have social security number, credit card numbers, bank account numbers; and now suddenly the idea that the numbers are too many is beginning to spring up. Why not one universal number for banks e.g BVN number? Have you done yours? Why not a number that will identify you uniquely as an individual and will help you transact business, receive medical care on emergency, help you get a job...it sounds reasonable right? I mean, its not as of some illiterate shepherds from 2000 years ago wrote a fairytale book predicting this exact same thing happening as a sign of the end times...any of these beginning to sound familiar?

What prophecy is this?

I think what you're doing is that having concluded that there is in fact an end time for which there will be signs, you are forcing these insignificant facts to fit your expectations.

Depression and anxiety: If a person is already an atheist and they are not depressed or anxious, these are not reasons to believe in God. If by anxiety you mean worry for ones fate in the afterlife, you should know that people that have hell as an option in the afterlife tend to worry more.

Acceptance: You would have a point here if every person other than an atheist worshipped the same God. As it stands however, BH does not accept you and your belief in God, just as you might not accept Satanists and their God. Belief in God doesn't guarantee acceptance.

Politics: You don't have to actually believe. You only have to pretend to.

Can God even experience awe? Being the creator of everything, I don't think he can find anything captivating. If the greatest mind in the universe cannot be awed by anything, you have to wonder whether there is any thing that is truly awe inspiring.

I've wondered about this for a while now, whether nature is actually wonderful. I can't shake off the awe but most times I just conclude that my brain is playing tricks on me as usual, and that there is nothing to it.

Well an ultimatum is not the ideal reason to marry. If you were already going to get wedded to her anyway, then the ultimatum is not the reason you married her. What of the billionaires who have it all and still conclude that this life is empty and meaningless? Happens more often than not tbh, so try not to look to them for model answers to your questions. What if we just accept that life is illogical, and live through its byproduct of consciousness with a more positive outlook. It's yours for the choosing.

Nobody is certain of what happens after death. Some have faith but this is not the same as absolute certainty. Some theorize but again, this is not certainty. To find real meaning in anything is to search for something of substance for its purpose. Life is wonderfully substantial to me because we were born as thinkers into a physical body that is able to interact with the earth. Thats enough meaning for me, but not for all. We, as thinkers, have the power to create our own meaning. Beautiful, no?

If life is a waste of time, what else does this universe exist for? Surely, hosting life is time better spent, even if illogical? Would you agree? Many men who approach this topic of logic with guns blazing end up with mental health issues; so were we born to think, but never to know? Possibly.
