IamD18:I've seen it. Last December in Umuahia this soldier came with one young girl to the bank, ignored the queue and walked straight to the machine, then told the girl to use the machine once the person using it at the time was done. The soldier did not ask anybody on the queue anything or even look at their faces. It's the girl that tried to apologize even though she still went ahead to jump the queue. When people on the queue challenged the both of them, the soldier either subtly threatened them or ignored them. No apology or remorse. This kind of thing absolutely happens. |
Make everybody dey wear wetin them like biko. Who the black suit don help? No, seriously, what's the deal with wearing black or dark colored suits? The rule is so arbitrary and lawyers are supposed to be able to reason dispassionately and analytically. On a careful approach, I really don't know the meaning of the rule. The justification I've been told for it is that a lawyer is supposed to look sober and decorous (the legalese for it is "fit and proper" ), which is fine but which is also true for many human beings generally, not just lawyers. People like Kanye West are excused, of course. A loud blue suit like the one in question looks fine to me. It's true that we have to draw the line somewhere however in 2019 the line should not still be at black or dark colored suits. The outrage some lawyers express over things like this is odd too. The profession is decaying because people wore bright colored suits to court? Okay. We need to recognise that the line is completely arbitrary and that it's going to be crossed a lot by many fit and proper lawyers because why not? Sad less and happy more pls. The image and quality of the profession suffer less from what colour of suit a lawyer wears to court than from what is widely seen as endemic corruption in the judiciary. |
Many Muslims see this tragedy as a good opportunity to push an agenda of firmly associating Christianity with terrorism and protesting the negative but not completely unfounded stereotype that contemporary terrorists are typically Muslim. Muslims who are silent when Boko Haram kills other Muslims in the northeast have now crowded my Facebook wall to decry the loss of Muslim life and "Christian terrorism against Muslims in New Zealand". I see through your struggle brothers. I think the bereaved should be allowed to mourn and the rest of us allowed to feel our empathy or apathy before being dragged into this discussion about whether the killer was a Christian terrorist, whether the killings were an act of terrorism, whether western media is quick to label mass killings committed by Muslims as acts of terrorism or whether they don't care so much when Muslims are killed en masse. The timing of it is really inappropriate. |

The voter turn out for this election was way less than that of the presidential election. Some PU's actually had periods where all the available voters had voted and they were waiting for new people to come and vote. I wasn't expecting up to 1m total votes and these people have gone and counted 1.8m. Even more than the total for the presidential election despite the low turn out. Congrats to El Rufai anyway for outrigging Kudan. |
Walahi this topic is just pure clickbait. No V8 can keep up with any of these cars? Really? Is that in terms of fuel economy or what? |
I have tint everywhere except in front. I find it difficult to judge speed and distance of oncoming cars through my sideview mirrors when I'm trying to get onto the road at night. The tint brings not just darkness but also blurryness, especially if they put the film on carelessly. You can cut a hole in the film so you can see your side mirrors better, or you can wind down your windows whenever you need to see what's in the mirrors clearly. Reversing at night was tricky at first cos you really can't see as much as you're used to seeing without the tint and your mind puts obstacles in those dark spots. Lol. Whenever you can, check for obstacles before you get in the car and start reversing. With my tint, using the rear view mirror is not an option so I wind down and use the side mirrors. It'll likely be the same for you. Despite all of these I intend to tint every car I buy. Good luck and happy tinting! |
They are not mocking Buhari. They are making fun of the idea that Buhari is a clone, which, if you think about it, is a very funny idea. A body double is relatively more believable, but a clone? Lol. I actually thought Nnamdi said Jubril is a body double. |
I'm curious, is there any pick up that isn't part SUV? |
They are now black man wigs bro. We wear them because we want to. It is irrelevant to the discussion of whether the wig and gown should be done away with that they were introduced by the British. |
46O1CE:No sir. Think in terms of driving comfort. A very clean Camry is packed with enough options to make it feel like you never left your room when you drive one. For example, the suspension is not as hard and unforgiving as that of the Lambo, you can have a proper entertainment system in the Camry with head rest screen and maybe a nice JBL audio, the 8 way power, non racing, heated and probably also air conditioned seats are designed to cuddle your body, and you have a list of safety features and driving assists longer than I wish to type. The Lambo is definitely more luxurious in terms of its performance, but I think I got that covered under "sheer driving pleasure". |
Pure driving pleasure: Lambo. Luxury: Very clean Camry. Resale value: Lambo. Ease of maintenance: Very clean Camry. Practicality: Very clean Camry. Wow factor: Lambo. Ecofriendliness: Very clean Camry. So the Camry is ahead. I'll take the Lambo thanks God bless you and God bless me. |
At least seek for medical attention first. You need to be able to rule out physical causes. |
Driving school! You can't learn to drive in 2 hours. This is even more true if you're learning to drive with a manual. There's just so much to learn! My friend first taught me how to drive before I went to driving school and I appreciated the driving school more. At driving school, you don't have to worry about damaging the car or fueling it for the many hours of driving you need. The instructor is also likely to be more patient with your mistakes than your friend who thinks you should graduate two hours after he starts teaching you. You will really appreciate having a patient instructor, trust me. Watching your fellow learner drivers drive during your driving sessions is also a good learning experience. I think it teaches you better than watching an experienced driver. Plus, if one of the learners is worse than you, you get a confidence boost. From driving school you can get a learner's permit and also be halfway to getting your driver's license. If you don't go to driving school you'll still have to pay for the certificate when you want to get your license. The additional hours of driving you'll get from driving school mean that when you start driving alone you can drive your car with more confidence and less fear of catastrophe. That sort of confidence only comes with plenty practice and you don't want to be doing the practice with your car. As others have mentioned, at driving school you'll probably get to learn how to use the road too, not just how to operate the car. It's important to know both. If I were you, I'd go to driving school. Which ever one you end up choosing though, godspeed! |
nurey:Alright. I can just overcome it with the radio then. tokunbo price I have no idea but if my knowledge serves me right olx can give you a working price rangeGot it. I've checked and I have an idea now. Thanks! |

hammer6F: In other words, while you say that you don't believe there is a god you simultaneously declare that you are a god? Haba now. He loses compassion and empathy and becomes dependent on Logic and reasoning. All of us humans are dependent on logic and reasoning. You are dependent on logic and reasoning and at the same time you are compassionate and empathetic, hopefully. Emotions drive and logic guides. To say a flesh and blood human being is purely logical and rational to the exclusion of compassion and empathy is to talk nonsense. Atheist are not guided by any principle and are possibly the most dangerous set of human being on earth. Please shed more light on this danger. In what form does it manifest? How often does it occur? Who are the victims? Are atheists the only ones capable of producing this danger? I hate Atheist people. You need Jesus. ![]() hammer6F:Where did you meet an atheist who claims that God exists and the said God did not create us and the rest of existence? Whether God created anything or not is a topic I can address after I've come to the conclusion that he exists. You know this but you are too pained that's why you simply had to call us wicked and misrepresent what atheism is in order to appear to justify your claim that we are wicked. Try to be more open minded about what atheism is. You will enjoy your theism more once you do. |
raptex:Other than one of my sisters, none of my family members knows the extent of it. All they know is I'm not religious and have never been. My sister who knows is irreligious too, I think she's agnostic but we haven't spoken about it in that much detail. My family members are generally not so religious so I don't think I'll ever have to tell them the real deal. My friends don't know the extent either, except for three of them, two of whom happen to be evangelical Christians who won't let me be unaffiliated in peace so I had to spell it out for them. To their credit they took it in stride and now pray that God will touch my heart some day (they have not accepted that God is not the same as Jehovah). The third friend is something of a humanist and from a Muslim background. He tries to create the impression that he is a practising Muslim, for the sake of his political career, according to him. We exchange looks of understanding from time to time. All my girlfriends have been aware and it has never been an issue for them. From time to time the issue comes up and I have to re-explain how I can get by without believing in any deity but that's about it. I haven't dated any very religious person so I guess that has helped. |
. This thread has been fun! Real show of force. See OP running helter skelter trying to escape. Say na "thread closed". Indeed! ![]() |
I'm starting to think all these "lost" and "found" monies at airports are proceeds of crime or evidence of attempted crime. How does someone misplace N2m please? |
Apparently I'm now a Muslim. As a Muslim let me tell you that the adhan in my office premises is sung and is evil. According to the Prophet (SAW): ﺍﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﺻــﻞ ﻋﻠٰﯽ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﻭ ﻋﻠٰﯽ ﺁﻝ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ، ﻛﻤﺎ ﺻﻠﻴﺖ ﻋﻠٰﯽ ﺇﺑﺮﺍﻫﻴﻢ ﻭ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺁﻝ ﺇﺑﺮﺍﻫﻴﻢ ﺍﻧﻚ ﺣَﻤِﻴﺪٌ ﻣَجيد. ﺍﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﺑﺎﺭﻙ ﻋﻠٰﯽ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﻭ ﻋﻠٰﯽ ﺁﻝ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﻛﻤﺎ ﺑﺎﺭﻛﺖ ﻋﻠٰﯽ ﺇﺑﺮﺍﻫﻴﻢ ﻭ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺁﻝ ﺇﺑﺮﺍﻫﻴﻢ ﺍﻧﻚ ﺣﻤﻴﺪ ﻣﺠﻴﺪ. hopefulLandlord:You are not God. |
Afoochekk1914:What I'm trying to say is that God has the power to do and undo and he applies it as he sees fit. Whatever God does is good. He is a merciful, just God and we are expected to have faith in him and trust that whatever he does in our lives is done for our overall benefit, individually and collectively. Blaming him for the occurrence of what you consider to be a misfortune can be interpreted to mean that you are equating yourself with God which is why you are calling his wisdom into question. Your heart may no longer trust that you have received the best outcome for you as ordained by God. When you feel this way you have to remember that God will sometimes correct his children for being wayward. Just as we sometimes allow our children learn by not protecting them from the consequences of their actions, God may truly leave a bitter person to the elements so that they can see for themselves which is better. |
I think if you truly appreciate God's personality and the extent of his power you will be inclined not to badmouth him. |
I had the same problem on my Tecno W2. I had to install malwarebytes, an anti malware app, and it identified something called "triads" trojan. What I saw on the internet about triada made me lock the phone away and get another one. http://securityaffairs.co/wordpress/61467/malware/triada-trojan-android-smartphones.html https://www.kaspersky.com/about/press-releases/2016_kaspersky-lab-discovers-triada-a-mobile-trojan-invading-android-s-brains |
The number of years of driving is not relevant. If you have enough confidence behind the wheel you can do it. The things that will increase your safety during the trip are 1. Making sure you're car is in good order before you start. Don't drive on worn out or over/under inflated tyres. Ensure your headlights and horn are working. 2. driving at a moderate speed (120ish or lower if you're more comfy with that) particularly when the road is busy. On long trips on busy roads if you drive at a high speed you will likely become fatigued more quickly due to the extra vigilance required for the higher speed. Fatigue is not your friend. At the lower speed you will have more time to react to things like potholes and other errant drivers. The car is also more stable if you have to swerve to avoid anything. 3. Correctly judging how much space you have to overtake in on the single lane portions of the road. You will have to overtake a lot of trucks and trailers and other slower moving vehicles so your judgment will be called for so many times. You may get frustrated after you find yourself behind another convoy of trailers which you have to pass for the 1000th time. Keep your cool and plan your passing well. Try not to linger beside the car you're overtaking either; overtake swiftly. 4. Scanning the road ahead as far as you can see. Also try to be aware of what's happening behind you. Use your mirrors often. Road awareness is easier to manage if you're not thundering down the highway at 190kmh. This is the little I've managed to learn from driving long distance to my own village. It's not different from your regular city driving except for the incessant overtaking and pothole avoiding. Its tiring so you're entitled to one Trophy on arrival (not before). Have a safe trip. |
I can't decide. The Roadster's price is so seductive compared to the Chiron's. I prefer ICE cars though. I don't like the look of Tesla's dashboards generally. The Chiron looks much better on the outside too. I like the noise the Chiron's massive engine makes, at any rpm. Also Tesla's are not known for their handling, whereas Bugatti are. If I must buy a supercar it will be one with superb handling. I suppose with the Chiron's budget I can buy the Roadster and a Porsche 911. Or a Chiron. When I have the money I'll think about it more. |
![]() God is more wonderful than this pitiful sandcastle and he came out of nowhere. If marvellous God can do it in no time, I think the pitiful sandcastle should have done it in even less time. Evolution is not 'atheist logic". |
Any idea where I can find Honda ATF DW-1 in Kaduna? |
I endorse your method, OP. Restrict your evangelism to praying for lost souls. It will be even better if you don't announce that you are praying for lost souls so they won't see it coming. Just do it, privately. |
