They simply try to plead their cases using the requirements and provisions of the law to exonerate their client.

Telling lies in court is perjury and any lawyer that is involved I such would lose their licence to practice.

Even if your clients are innocents and should be favored based on the true-facts that bounds them, a good and a successful lawyer to be must go extra meters to add more salt to the already truth just to make the whole show look more favorable!.......

I don't think you've been inside a court room before, judging by the misconception you have about lawyers.

I'm sure you realize that a lawyer can resort to lying only when the facts are not in his/her favour. Therefore, you cannot lie when the facts are in your favour. It is not correct to say that lawyers always lie. You have to choose your clients carefully. A lawyer cannot bear false witness anyway, since it is the litigant who gives evidence.

If you've heard of appeal, you'd know that a lawyer would have to lie his way through at least three different courts and 8 different judges in order to completely win a case. It is difficult to lie your way to total victory in court. Lawyers also depend on their reputations a lot; if you're a known liar, judges tend to be wary of you and it becomes harder to get away with stuff, meaning less success for you.

There are quite a number of lawyers, SAN's even, who are good christians. You have the likes of Ozekhome or Izinyon in this category.

A born again christian lawyer should not define career success in terms of money, instead it should be defined by the positive impact you have on the resolution of particular disputes and on the legal system in general. Generally, any person that sets out to make all of the money would not qualify as a born again christian. Money is said to be the root of all evil.

You don't have to be a trial lawyer. There are so many other options available to you that don't involve advocacy.

A lot of times, litigants think lawyers are telling lies because they fail to grasp that legal requirements for evidence differ from their personal requirements for evidence.

So yes, a born again christian, what ever that means, can be a successful lawyer, just as he can be a successful business man. There is nothing about being a lawyer that requires lying.

Everybody said so, including you. It depends on which God. I'm sure you cannot say yes to all of Yahweh, Allah and Zeus, among others. You have to say no to one of them, in which case you are the one who said there is no God.

What it means is that God is very clever.

You see, God wanted a son and ordinary man would not do, even though we are called children of God. We all know that the only way to get a son is through childbirth. So God did the virgin and got himself a son.

Now, after the birth of Jesus, both man and Jesus needed to know who was more important to God. So God came up with a plan to sacrifice Jesus for man so that man would feel important, and to have Jesus take away the sins of man so that Jesus would feel important.

We all feel important now and everybody is happy.

As long as medicine is not from the devil, hospital first. Also rich people tend to go to the hospital. We should emulate them. One can always pray from the hospital.

All it takes for the nuclear war to happen is a single nuclear strike. It can happen "accidentally" (like through ISIS) at a predetermined date. Once such an "accident" happens, the blame game will start like we've seen in this year (eg. MH17), but in a much more intense way - takes only one day for a full scale war. This is also the reason why no one except those who are spiritually not blind will see this coming.

You are right. A single nuclear strike is sufficient for a lot of things. Are we to expect the strike in 2014?

There is no doubt that improvements in car safety have led to the loss of fewer lives as a result of car crashes.

One can say that following improvements in car safety, God has chosen to intervene more often in car crashes and save lives

or that God gives the engineers the knowledge necessary to improve car safety

or that God has no hand in car crashes and the improvements alone are responsible for the lessened loss of life.

The first option sounds absurd, to me at least. I'm sure somebody somewhere can run with it though.

The second option is cool but one implication of it is that God delivers the knowledge necessary to improve car safety in bits (gradually) and that every death in a car crash as a result of inadequate safety features in the car is caused by God not delivering the necessary knowledge on time.

The last option is self explanatory.

To me then, God may be thanked for any life saved in a car crash. He can equally be blamed for any life lost.

One can also thank the Honda engineers for putting their knowledge to use or instead thank God again for allowing the engineers to put their knowledge to use.

So both madam and her critics are probably right.

It depends on things like my mood at the time, how well he can explain his behaviour or otherwise how well he can grovel, whether somebody intercedes on his behalf, his antecedents, the necessity of what he intends to buy from shoprite, his order of birth etc etc.

The Christian message is not a religious one. It says that once we accept Gods love and mercy, we're saved. Irrespective of our actions, we're declared righteous. The other messages preach do good, get good, do bad, get bad. But the fact is that no man is good. But through Jesus, we are counted as good and righteous, as our imperfections are washed away by his blood.

The Christian message is also good for good, bad for bad. If it were not every sinner would enter heaven. You only succeeded in defining "good" on man's part to mean "accepting the love and mercy of God".

I'm tempted to agree. I just consider that it might be possible to worship the white Jesus as God and still not defer to any white person. I get the hint from the anti semitic sentiments directed at the people of Jesus' ethnicity, sometimes by Christians such as those in 1940's Germany. We also have present day Christians who have no interest in Israelis. Such persons have no difficulty separating their deity from people who share his ethnicity.

Brother on the thinking thing if you thought it out you would know that while on earth allah approves the killing of none muslim people and enforces treating them like as outcasts. But Jesus on the other hand treats both non christians and christians as one while on earth but on getting to heaven 'burn it up' is the song that's played for them.

The issue is whether God loves the people he commits to hell. I say he does not, not in the slightest even.

I think the problem, if any, is beyond religion.

If heaven is the goal and everybody is equal is heaven, what is the point of distinguishing yourself here on earth with your relatively fleeting life?
