FX: Pls can someone help me with a very affordable community college in USA where I can study to get an associate degree and work while am studying.
The total fees must be very very very cheap cos am just a guy that wants travel to beta my life.
I can study in any state provided I can work there.
Community college I-20 wouldn't get you a visa. Search for a university then you could transfer when you get there

creme001: Hello house, pls i would like to find out if we have a database of schools members of Nairaland have passed through. If we do, please i would like to find out if we have anyone in Oregon State university, if we don't, i suggest we create one. It will help us network better. Secondly, could i get GRE Materials from the forum? and finally, i have a friend who finished under grad with a 2.7 CGPA from a private university. Is it possible to get into a university in America to study Networking/ computer engineering with that grade?
Thanks House!!
Most schools wouldn't admit with that grade. But google would help you more. Do more research. In between which one is this "My friend". I thougt the style has been dropped here a long time ago. No one knows you here so feel free to share your problems

smithremmy: @ bigfrancis please I have issue to pay dis sevis fee where do I pay it cause I have receive my I-20 I since 22 April have try all my best no way please help me with Sevis fee and Appointment that's time has gone and they want me to arrive US on 5th August
You've had your I-20 since April 22 and you've been informed ever since then that you'll be resuming August 4 and you don't have an appointment date yet? Wow! What have you been waiting for all the while?

Reading through your posts, I see you're kinda new here. I see you've applied for visit visa twice and you're married. Are you going for graduate or undergraduate studies?, Which school did you apply to? Did you take any standardized test? Answers to these matters a lot.

Regarding your Sevis fee, You say you sent money order through UPS and it was rejected. Where was it sent from and was it a genuine one? Sevis fee can either be paid at Eco bank Contonu or you get some you trust overseas to pay through Western union.

Appointment dates come mostly at night or early in the morning. I'll suggest you try at exactly 10am every morning. And I doubt if you'll be able to get one before your resumption date August 4. But just keep trying.

Ricky Rozay: I have a strange filling that you may have gotten urself into trouble.. I hope u didn't use a FAKE bank statement..

Because you seem a little nervous and just trying to defend this Verification of Bank statement of a thing just to make urself happy by any means.

Because this is the way I picture it, in a clearer vision here about U....
Seconded!

risher ris: huhif an applicant is on a life ban,the passport wiLl definately be stamped or some stuffs written at the back of the passport just like a minute•and the denial section is entirely different.realy,I don't think they confirm ok
They don't need to stamp anything on the passport, cos they already have the applicants thumb print.... Like I said earlier they can verify statements if they want to. You just read someone's interview about the VO holding his bank statement. She obviously wants to verify the authenticity of the account that's why
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by fittty(m): 12:49am On Jul 04, 2013
risher ris: Yes they can confirm for uk or canada becos when you fill application forms, there is a section where you tick that talks abot verification of document.once you tick and sign, that mean you have granted acess to your account.that does not work for u.s,the bank can never supply your account information to any one without your audacity.not even your identical twin brother....lol
You'll be amazed that they can if they want to. I just hope you haven't been using one as it attracts a life ban and the applicant gets to waste lots of money on visa fee re-applying. Not knowing he/she has a life ban

risher ris: i know you wont believe me, i have help some pple in securing this f1 visa in question but i really dont know what is wrong with me,i even have a friend in ghana, met him online though,he ask me lotta questions and i give him possible answers.God sees my heart even agents contact me to ask me lotta questions but i really dont know what what is wrong with me but i will say im always nervous about interview
How old are you? Cos I see you're going for undergrad studies. And which school did you apply to? Both matters a lot. Schools with names like "University of bleep" or "Bleep state University" will give u higher chances of getting the visa. But community colleges or "VIU's" will get you no where....... If your age is up then u should be ready to explain to the VO what you've been doing since

1. Security!: We feel secured with fences. Remember nigeria isn't like the US where u pick up the phone, dail 911 and the cops will turn up. Here in Nigeria no police man is even ready to take that call. (That's if we even have a number for that)

2. Privacy!

risher ris: the point is .....during my very first interview, i was very nervous.the consular did not even request any docs from me.he asked a few questions that i did answered well but he still denied me.the second interview, my interviewer said he s not in the position to issue me a visa right now that he s not the one that denied me that was last spring and this fall again i was interviewed by the same guy that interviewed me the very first time he asked a few questions too and did not request any document from mebut he asked a question i did not answer really well,he said why did i choose that very location?and i told him i have not being to the united states before and how will i know what what and what is in the location...and he asked some few questions afterwards and i did answer well but this time around he gave me a separate denial form still under section 214b that says i should re apply at any time by submitting a new application, photo and pay visa fee to be interviewed by a consular........thanks
You need to give a detailed break down of how both interviews went. Not this way, but the exact way others type theirs. And include every question and answer, Else no one will really be able to tell what's went wrong....

ogakpatakpata: really?!!! l thought is a recent incident......whatever, it is still a sad news, some Nigerian's are making things hard for genuine travellers.........
Yes its really sad the way some Nigerians are making it difficult for others to live in malaysia. Just early this month my friend was driving and all of a sudden a lady hit him from behind with her bike. He came out of his car to check the extent of damage and the next thing he saw was a Malaysian guy from no where with a stick accusing him of the damage and then a group of Malaysians with sticks and weapons approaching the scene.

He was lucky enough to run as fast as he could to the nearest police station to report the case. When he got back with the police to the scene the bike lady said she tried to calm the mobs down by telling them it was her fault but they weren't listening cause he was black! Now imagine!

Ifetex: my friend leave that word of encouragement you are giving to your self, just pray for them that dea papers are up2 date to avoid nt to be deported, and check if you knw any of them in Malaysia then try their number now if it going 2ru to comfirm if they are included
YOU CAN TRY TO INQUIRE FROM OTHER SITE IF YOU ARE NOT CONVICE
You're such an ignorant soul!!! Now tell me the source of your news and where it states this happened on sunday night? And don't tell me your source is http://m.naij.com/news/38401.html which has "0" I repeat "0" comment on the topic. And don't also tell me another source is those dead bloggers that get their news from Nairaland.com and run posting it on their blog

FYI i have a childhood friend that schools in Malaysia who was among the victims. He was released on the ground that he had a genuine valid study visa and is a registered student in his school. After the incident he had to rent another apartment away from where there are high concentration of illegal immigrants to avoid such occurring

A professional photographer understands what you want if you mention it's for US embassy. Hope this helps.
