FlyboyZee: İ took of the tint at the rear glass of my Civic at Olu Obasanjo Road in PH. İ hated tints on car and has consistently refused to buy any car with tint for the same obvious reasons you posted. But, this car was a pre-order and the merchant delivered it with the tint and thought that he was doing me a favour. İ pulled the damn thing off even before inspecting the car and he was like WTF? İ then drove the car to PH where some guys came with a certain fluid and a pack of razor blades and scrapped off the gum residue while drabbing it with the fluid. İ paid İ think N1,500 for their services, but there was still residue tint/gum on the lower sides of the glass where their hands couldn't reach. Flustered, İ left the f**king thing like that. The glass is very clear now and works perfectly and the residue left is no obstruction as İ don't even see it when driving. see pix attached.

nurey: Op you have started again, 2.2m will only get you a kpangolo trim of Rx330, or best still a Nigerian used luxury trim Rx330, those cars are common but they don't come cheap.
@flyboyzee, when buying a liability, before you look at anything, reliability should be your first note a first generation toyota sienna of year 1998 which is a #2.50K sachet water would last longer and more reliable than a luxurious highest trim 2012 range rover sport which is a carefully distilled wine. Pure water cars in Nigeria doesn't mean cheap, it means Affordability, reliability, peace of mind so you want the op to by bottle water and go bankrupt. Not as if he's gonna use the car forever. Car Talk › Re: What Are The Common Problems That Acura Tl 2004-2006 Do Have. by FlyboyZee: 7:13am On Jan 16, 2015 |
Like every Honda car, the Acura TL comes recommended with APİ 5w20 graded engine oil boldly and clearly written on the oil refil cap. For mine, İ used to service the car (both oil and filter change) at every 5,000 km since it was an everyday's car with 1 gallon of Milemaster engine oil which İ'm still using for my other Honda cars till date.
İ never changed the ATF while İ was using the car, but did servicing of the gear before handing the car over to my brother, İ used Honda DW 1 which comes in 1litre containers, you will need 6 units of that.
As per the coolant, it is boldly written on the refil cap what kind, type or class of coolant/mixture you are required to use. İ never had any reason to change the one that came with the car and as such never bothered myself about it.
The recommended brake fluid on the refil cap was either dot3 or dot4, İ can't really remember, but İ bought Mobil dot4 Brake Fluid all the same and that's what İ used to top up the brake fluid when İ had a little shortage.
All these things are clearly written in the owner's manual and you can get them from Jumia, Konga or even your local spare parts shops now, not like then when it was like rocket science just asking of the oil alone. lol.
Other Advice: Online communities/resources like Nairaland and Acurazine were very helpful since İ was the first and only person to own a TL back then in the town İ live, where its either you are driving a Toyota or something is wrong with you. But, all of that as change now as the car has become popular and has been re-christened 'Acura Baby Boy'. lol. My '02 TL shared a lot of parts with the Baby Boy V6, so my mechanic said, but İ never had the opportunity to test his theory.
The TL is the most comfortable car İ have ever used for any journey, İ left Yenagoa by 6am and arrived Makurdi by 1pm and İ was feeling as fresh as if İ just woke up from a deep and fulfilling slumber, yet everybody was like what flight did you take? lol. Welcome to the Acura world. Happy motoring! my dear. |

The car is still in my family, as my brother is still going strong with it counting over 3 yeqrs and heading to the fourth now. İts a car thats fun to drive and would really be appreciated by speed demons. İf you are not a speed person, my take is go for a Toyota and leave the TL alone as it would be such a waste to have all that power under the hood and never get to use it. Just ensure that you use the recommended fluids (engine oil, ATF, coolant, brake fluid, etc) and do your servicing on the go as at and when due and İ bet you would fall in love with that car. İ still miss her till date, especially when İ need to really drive. Wish you luck and happy TLing. lol... |

Politics › Re: İs This The Change We Clamour For? by FlyboyZee(op): 1:02pm On Jan 14, 2015 |
İMHO, the change being clamoured for is that change that would take us back to the old order. Whether we like it or yes, there are a lot of things that have changed under GEJ and the old brigade are not happy as new oligarchs are emerging. They want to keep holding the nation by its jugulars and as such would do anything to ensure that they take us back to an era where ''P is 'F', and 'T' is 'Z'. The crux of the matter is that they are using youths who do not know their history and the damage that this old brigade have caused before the emergence of democracy.
İf you observe very well, most of those preaching this APC change were either not born or were too young to know anything as at 1983 and as such they believe there is an Utopia that would be achieved by a Buhari Presidency. As per the others, they are those that felt that their apple cart have been upturned and as such would want to get it back by all means and as such promoting GMB for their own percuniary gains.
İn all, İ pity the youths most, who do not know what those guys are driving at and trying to achieve, using anticorruption as bait even though they (APC politicians) are more corrupt and inept than what prevails now.
"İ cry for my beloved country", even though my father said "weep not child". |

İ saw this write-up on Facebook and thought İ should share it here. İts pretty long for those who are still owing their Primary Schools fees and also for those who received lessons under the mango tree in their secondary school days. For the discerning, please dissert this write-up for the knowledge chasers to learn from. ONLY THE INTELLECTUALLY DISADVANTAGED ASK FOR A "CHANGE" THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ITS CONSEQUENCES
"..It is only a fool that will prefer a Whirlwind sandstorm to a rainy weather for fear of not wanting his Christmas dress to be soaked by the rain". In as much as I have restrained myself from doing a sincere classification of some Nigerians to the classes they really belong to, but it has become necessary that I do so. Nigerians have proven to be the biggest destroyers of themselves. Most of those that will always claim they are upright or decent are either the biggest hypocrites that ever existed on earth or the most intelligently handicapped. If they have any reasons as a defense to that classification, then they are outright fools. It is either they have been fooled by a more intelligent and smarter Nigerian, or they have decided to be fools by lying to themselves. I will therefore give an advance apology for referring to the hypocrites as fools and will do so by tendering an unreserved advance apology for calling those that are fools, hypocrites.
Let me first address those that have addressed themselves as intelligent and patriotic. These are the ones that are requesting for change. The phrase "Return power to the north by all means" has now been re-translated to the word "Change". It has also become the new watch-word being used by even the greatest criminals that Nigeria ever had. Anyway, lets move forward, If truly you seek these change you are asking for earnestly , what would you want to change to? Would you not sincerely want to assess what and who are the agents of these change? would the agent of change not be the first considerations you should make? I may call you a fool because it is only a fool that will pay for the services of a change agent when there is too much rain and not minding if this agents of change is an expert of stormy winds and brimstone. It is only a fool that will say as long as the rain goes, he does not mind what is coming because he is too foolish to know that he could be better off with the rain than a sandstorm. That brings us to assume or believe that the need for the highly publicized change will either be malice, hatred or vendetta, for these are the only factors that can obstruct the ability of any man from thinking correctly or seeing reasons.
If you think am wrong, please can you in your honesty consider the agents of change you are appending your support for? What do you want a change from? Corruption right? And your best choice of the agent of these change is Bola Tinubu? You must be kidding me. In all honesty, do you believe Bola Tinubu is the right agent of change when it comes to corruption? That is where you are either a hypocrite or outright fool if not better being described as stupid. Now consider Major General Muhammadu Buhari as the agent of change. What are his pedigree in fighting corruption? What is his understanding of Justice for you need justice to fight corruption? If you truly are against selective and impended justice, then why advocate for a master in selective and vindictive kind of justice. Does that not make you either one with malice, a hypocrite or a fool? Are you honest in the first place? You want civilization to flourish in a country you claim to love being the patriot you say you are, yet you have appended your signature to bring in a malicious, ethnic and bitter ruler to replace the liberal because the liberal one did not kill who you wanted dead.
Let me remind you a few things I know you have heard severally, General Buhari has ruled Nigeria before as a Head of State {Same as President}, and in his days, there was no clear development in the land, Not even a single road was tarred, rather, workers were retrenched in their numbers down in the south {Ask your parents that were in civil service then}, yet a lot of today's past heroes who were not from his ethnic group were discriminately served jail terms that led to some of their deaths. Let me name a few of them; Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Alex Ekweme, Professor Ambrose Ali, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and some great Journalist that have remained as today's icons. These men and many more were serves jailed terms in scores of decades for crimes of not being from part of a section of Nigeria. Their counterpart that were actually corrupt were served a few years in a guest house. {figure that}. Now, that defines "selective and vindictive justice" How can corruption be said to be fought when there was never justice? Now is that the agent of change we need in the 21st century?
Maybe you may say that there is insecurity in the land, and you want change to a secured Nigeria. if you are from the southern part of the country, that makes you the most stupid human being to have ever walked the earth. Your memory needs to be checked for there is a likelihood that amnesia may not be too far from you and your generations to follow. I say so because if you were in this country not quite four years ago, there was a clear declaration that this would happen, that the country would be made ungovernable for a southern President. And if you do not know that that is exactly what is going on, then you need to visit the temples of the Olympian gods for revivifications of your remembrance ability. And even when your remembrance ability failed you, the proponents of change in that direction told you they will stop the insurgency (ungovernable to governable) in 3 months when power has been returned to them, and you still require a prophet to prophesy to you that he that released the butchers for a purpose will call back his butchers when their services has produced the desired results. For further questions, please contact your Shakau that said that it is Haram for a Christian to rule over Muslims.
If you want to give yourself a reason and say you want PDP to be dislodged, then you are a fool of the first order and in its entirety to believe that those that were aggrieved in the PDP can now form a change from PDP. Have you been so blind to see that all the major agents of this your needed change from PDP are products of PDP until recently? Am sure Chief Timipre Silva that earned his chieftaincy title while in the PDP is your best choice of change from the PDP. Or is it Governor Kwankwaso of Kano State that only got his ropes back as being a governor with the umbrella after being dislodged that is your best instrument of change? Or maybe Senator Bukola Saraki a frontliner that just left PDP a few months back is your perfect bet for change from the PDP. Or would it be Atiku Abubakar that served 8 years as a Vice President in the PDP, later left for the change abracadabra and came back to the PDP, fought to become President but was not strong enough, then deemed it fit to pay a whooping N5bn to be readmitted into the change abracadabra again with a condition of using the platform for his goal that will give an address to tell you that PDP after 16 years has not caused the needed change? Is that your change agent? Then you may need to visit your village oracle to advise if you may or may not require a psychological check up.
Let me still help your dull brain by tabulating it in simple form for your easy understanding 1. Change Agent Olusegun Obasanjo - Ruled Nigeria for 8 years under PDP and PDP BoT Chairman for 5 years) 2. Change Agent Rotimi Amaechi - Change Campaign director, former HOA Speaker for 8 years, governor for 7 years - all under PDP) 3. Change Agent Atiku - Change Chieftain - former VP for 8 years under PDP 4. Change Agent Akume - APC Chieftain - former PDP governor for 8 years 5. Change Agent Bukola Saraki - Change Chieftain - former PDP governor for 8 years and 2 years as a PDP Senator 6. Change Agent Timipre Sylva - Change Chieftain PDP governor for 5 years 7. Change Agent Audu Ogbe - Change Chieftain - former PDP National chairman for 2 years 8. Change Agent Aminu Masari - Change Chieftain - former HOR Speaker for 4 years under PDP 9. Change Agent Chris Ngige - Change Senator - former governor for 3 years under PDP 10. Change Agent Aliyu Wamakko - Change governor - former PDP governor for 7 years 11. Change Agent Rabui Kwankwaso - Change Chieftain - former governor for 7 years and Defence minister for 3 years under PDP government 13. Change Aminu Tambuwal - Change Chieftain and Sokoto Guber hopeful - former HOR Speaker for 3 years under PDP 14. Change Agent El rufai - Change Chieftain and Kaduna Guber Hopeful former FCT minister for 4 years and BPE chairman for 2 years under PDP.
Take a second look at yourselves and tell yourself that Tinubu is the change you require. Is it Professor Osibanjo that has stood as the defender of the Jagaban monarchy in his corrupt practices as governor in Lagos state that will be your best bet for change? One thing is certain, you don't need change in the sense you present it, not for the good of the country. You have either certainly made enemies and you think the best is to fight your enemy or you have been fooled to take another man's enemy as yours. That makes you more stupid. Again, for these reasons, you may need to visit your village oracle because you must have walked into a curse unknowingly. And you need to be cleansed.
Next phase; Why do you need this change. Can you categorically point out to one reason? If you are from the Hausa/Fulani north, I will pardon you because you have been told that since the economic, academic and commercial power of Nigeria is in the south, that your birthright lies in leadership. But that makes you a bigger fool, because you were lied to. So your ignorant request for change of power back to the north may be understood. But for the regular southerner, or Middle belter, I would have loved to hear from you what change you really need. But start by telling me what you had before that you have been deprived of. Or is it the constant fuel queue that you missed? Or did you miss the old roads? Oh, you must have missed the port holes on the Lagos-Benin expressway. What did you miss? Did you miss the constant Plane Crash of those days? Or you missed Nigeria's position as the 2nd most corrupt nation? Or the coming of the trains are evil to you. So why don't you start by pointing out one road that was properly maintained in the previous administrations that has gone so bad? Or can you point to one infrastructure that was so good, yet got bad because of these administration. Or have you suddenly taken General Obasanjo's struggle for relevance as a yardstick? Has a level of your freedom been taken away from you? Please tell me one if there is any. How daft would you be to wish for a man that never found it necessary to allow you freedom of expression of speech and movement to replace a man that allows you to criticize him in all spheres of his government? Is that not you being "IN THE QUEST FOR YOUR SLAVERY"? And now combine it with a master of corruption that has silenced all those that ever worked with him. Yes, am talking about Bola Tinubu, if you doubt, please find time to ask Babatunde Fashola. He spent 8 years enriching Tinubu with Lagos tax payers money.
There are a particular set of Nigerians that are outright fools, and they don't pretend about that. It has been their custom to join every bandwagon that appears to suit their benefactors. Those ones have agreed that it is the will of god for them to continue in slavery while the offsprings of their masters continue to wallow in affluence of riches. For those ones, I will forgive their stupidity. It did not start today and it will most likely not stop in another 10 years. I took my time to turn off the intelligent fools from reading this article as it will sure make no difference to them. Having said that, I will also pardon some others that have decided to play the fool, just as long as it pays. Yes, it is understood, but while they are in the game, let them also know that while it is not only hypocritical for them to accuse another man for a crime they eat and drink everyday, it is one of the biggest sin a man can do to himself, filling his stomach at the detriment of that of his children and generations to come. |
