sultaan: If you are used to you 92 Civic I will not suggest you go for a 98 V6 Accord coupe fuel cos on you mind will not be affordable. If you really want to upgrade get a newer Civic like a 2001-2005 Civic.
Some will say it is not reasonable to suggest another Civic as upgrade but a I-4 Accord could cost him N5k/wk in fuel. OP is used to a smaller car did not give any reason for a bigger car so instead of weekly cost going to fuel he may also spend the money on a newer upgrade but maintain his weekly budget I agree with you. It seems the OP likes sporty cars. Since he is upgrading, I feel he should have something with more power than the Civic that can give him some excitement. However, there will still be marked difference in the fuel bills for the I4 & V6 Accord models as there will also be marked difference between the Civic and the I4 Accord... |

Why drop all that cheddar just to sit in the kids corner and have a high school driver move you around town? That would have been a lot cheaper in a Highlander why will anyone pay some much for a car they won't like to drive? Lol @ Highlander. Make Lomomike catch you first. Like seriously, if he's gonna need a driver, no need to buy any of the 2. The usual Toyotas (Prados, 4Runners, Land Cruisers, Lexus LX & GX) would do. I can't imagine myself buying a BMW or Range Rover if I ain't the guy that's gonna be behind the wheels... |

Did Honda recommend a change of oil type for the car if it has stayed more than 10-12 years? My guess is NO. So, please stick to the manufacturer's recommendations as much as you can. You can also get a copy of the owner's manual and see what's recommended. Mechanics can be very funny, you know. arewatech: Thank you for the correction, we call it Henessy down here in the North while it's Baby Boy in the south. I knew this already, i got carried away when I was writing the post.
Will modify it now.
Thank you once more. Waoh! I didn't know that. I know that the 2001-2005 Honda Civic is what is referred to as the Honda Hennessey. While the 1998-2002 North American Honda Accord is what is popularly known as the Baby Boy. (Please, see pix attached below for emphasis). I never knew they had different names up North and down South. Well, we are learning every day.

I thought this was a thread for fun, but the way you guys are going on at each other seems like there is more to it than what meets the eye. With our kinda searing and soaring temperatures, I guess we all need cars with very cold ACs. If you've been in Jalingo, Makurdi, Kano, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe or Maidugari before you would understand what I mean and appreciate cars with very low AC temperatures. Even if your car has the best and most effective climate control, but doesn't have very low temperatures, you might be wasting your time in those places I mentioned. |

The way you are proudly boasting of those, is not good, unless you no be christian sha.
Or did you just say hi and the women assumed its a relationship? That was then when my blood was hot and on fire. I'm married and settled now sha. All I was trying to say is that what Wale Feso said is not limited to any one tribe. It is a manifestation of youthful exuberance that cuts across all ethnic groups and as such it ain't right for him to ascribe it to just the Ijaws. Moreover, the Ijaws are patrilinear and not matrilineal as he posited... |

Atigba: @op I do listen to his programs sometimes on royal fm
I think is inappropriate to speak negatively about a particular tribe while preaching but again
The truth must be told your people need orientation especially the young once
That issue of a girl staying with a man without paying bribe price is very true
Not only that an average ijaw girl can born for 5 different men and not live with any of them.
Sorry am not trying to speak negative about your people but that is what i observed.
I applaud pastor David wale for coming out on air to say the truth since the elders in the land has failed.
Since their parents can't teach their children the right thing to do.
I have lived in so many states in this country,I can confidently say your people are the most uncultured Have ever come across.
You will see some one bearing California, green, millonian, stone,Russia etc
Not their name ooooo I mean surname Like I said in my OP, what you've stated is not limited to the Ijaws alone. I guess you must be a Yoruba guy who is naturally ethnocentric and generally use their own standards to judge other people, so I don't really blame you for your comment... |

lomomike: This is the best phrase. My HL 2.4 and RX330 are as cool as I want it to be. Yet no clouding or condensation on my glass. I keep my fan speed at the lowest most time and on hot days, I let the AC go auto. abatically: Of what good is an ac without a good climate control? I can't believe some people still think having mortuary standard ac in the car means the the ac is top notch. And some people still think if ur car ac doesn't cause condensation on ur windows then it's not chilly enough (lmao). Anyway, whatever works for u, my car, a Honda accord EOD has a superb climate control, a single water has never condensed on my windows, I can't say its mortuary standard because I control how cool I want it to be and it does its job come rain come shine.
Someone tried to sell me a car sometimes ago, he boasted that the ac is a beast, bla bla. When I went to test it I found out the compressor doesn't even regulate. Within 10 minutes of turning on the ac the whole windows got steamed up, to the point where iced blocks started coming out from the ac vents. the climate control wasn't even working. To some people that is what they call chilly ac.
Oh and lastly, forget the 14°c that is written on some cars, it doesn't necessarily mean the temperature will get to that.and some cars have 'low' as their coolest which means it gets as low as the cooling system and outside temperature would allow. The 14° is just a gimmick, don't be surprised some cars set at 19 would be cooler depending on the climate. All the OP asked was which car AC has the lowest temperatures? Nobody has so far said he/she is buying any car for its extreme cold AC temperature nor drives in such air conditioning. I believe we all regulate the AC of our cars to meet our temperature requirements when we drive. |

Car Talk › Re: Help Me Choose Between Honda Accord 2005 (DC) And Toyotal Camry 2008 (muscle) by FlyboyZee: 12:41pm On Feb 06, 2015 |
Well, the 08 Camry is big in presence and as such more prestigious to own around the neighborhood, but you will enjoy the 05 Accord better in terms of performance. If you are buying to impress upon people, buy the Camry, but if you are buying for yourself, then buy the Accord. |
Car Talk › Re: Help Me Choose Between Honda Accord 2005 (DC) And Toyotal Camry 2008 (muscle) by FlyboyZee: 7:07pm On Feb 05, 2015 |
abatically: Bros, nobody is saying EOD/DC is not a drivers car, I own one. But pls defend this fallacies
1. That a 2002/acura TL is more advanced than 08 accord and 2011 Camry xle. The 2002 acura TL is just a baby boy with extra features being a luxury car.
2. That we should be comparing an EOD with a 2015 Camry. Dude can u pass me some of those things u are high on? What is so special about EOD/DC? It was a good car in its generation but that's it. Have u ever seen a 2015 Camry? Its more aggressive, faster and comes with all the latest technologies and only a 2014 accord can stand against it. EOD my foot. What is there in an EOD anyway.
OK vs 2015 Camry is an overkill but why would u bring that in the first place. Against a 2012 Camry EOD is still no where to be found. The ex of that thing doesn't even have a decent head unit compared to 2012 Camry. No apps, no USB or iPod connection (unless through a mod), no Pandora, iHeartRadio, etc. The little extras in the 02 TL makes it more than the baby boy and even the Camry. The baby boy v6 comes with a 3.0l engine, while the TL comes with a 3.2l engine. The interior of the TL is far more chic than that of the Camry. The TL is far more responsive and thrilling to drive than that boring Camry. The TL handles better than your Camry. For the 2nd comparism, it was actually an overkill. I kinda exaggerated to drive home my point. Please, excuse my exaggeration. There is actually nothing to compare between the 2 as they are 2 generations apart. The 2015 TL cannot be mentioned in the same breath as the 2015 Camry because they are not in same class. I got your drift, but I just wanted to drive home my point more succinctly. |

lomomike: Prove to the bolded claims you made. To me they're fallacy, Lies, misinformation, bias etc. They are not. If you own the 2 cars (EoD or DC & Muscle), you will find yourself driving more of the Honda. The muscle might be a more recent car, but the EoD/DC is more pleasurable to drive. Moreover, the 08/9 Camry is very very bland, especially the ones with I4 engines. Belief what you may, say what you like, call me all the names there is, One thing I know for sure is that the EoD/DC is a better car than the muscle because I have used both. IMO, the EoD/DC is a driver's car while the muscle is a passenger's car. |

I once owned an EoD and was supposed to upgrade with a DC but instead moved on to a 2002 Acura TL which was far more advanced than the 08 Accord or 2010/11 Camry. I had a brand new 09 Camry for an official car and still preferred the EoD because it was far better in performance and convenience than the Camry which was rather bland and unexciting to drive like all Toyotas. Please, do not compare the EoD or DC with the Muscle. The EoD or DC is far ahead of the 08 Camry, IMO, you should be comparing the EoD or DC with the 2015 Camry. I hope you get my drift sha? |
