As there is nothing to " research " on by the Cocoa Research Institute, the institute created another work for themselves. Some of these government agencies are not productive, contributing nothing and gulping scarce resources to maintain their respective boards and the executive management's affluent lifestyle. |
See comments above.......it seems some people cannot do without mentioning Tinubu's name in anything that happens. Someone died of unknown cause and people are here typing Tinubu up and down ![]() |
Millions of people took the vaccine with this kind of outcome In Canada, you cannot work in any health regulated profession without taking COVID vaccination. Do you know the millions of people that work in health sector in Canada? There may be some underlying sickness, coupled with some medications that might have resulted to this kind of reaction. |
Everything about Soludo is "ongoing" ![]() I have not seen any completed project commissioned. Where is the African Dubai promised? |
Innosson should try and be matching up with the basic standards abroad. I know it is for the Nigerian market but they need to take the Nigerian market serious. The beauty of cars lies in the quality of alloyed wheel and tires. These are some of the things that captures one's attention once you look at any car or machine. They cant be rolling out a new car with that kind of tire/wheel. Good job, though |
This man didn't resign. He was given a 2 - match contract that expired after the Rwanda game. How could he have resigned in this great hard times ? He didn't want NFF to be the first to announce his disengagement after the disastrous draw in Rwanda. Someone that has been out of any known job for some years. Resigning is alien to our culture and standards here. ![]() |
Please, BAT should last o, at least till the next elections. Honestly, Shettima is not an option. For those wishing that BAT should not last, check the options on the table.... SHETTIMA ....AKPABIO.... Do you think these guys are better than BAT? |
Nigeria and Nigerians are irredeemably gone! You can't build a resilient and sustainable nation with the kind of mindset, distrust, nepotism and hatred that have continued to permeate the very fabrics of this nation. |
World Bank and IMF keep prescribing unworkable policies for Africa and other developing nations, but will be quicker to offer time-tested and workable solutions to any developed country going through economic crisis. Both the world Bank, IMF, EU and other Western backed development institutions provided strong backing to Greece and other EU countries that went through economic crisis and helpe them regained their economic status. |
Story! Deep down his heart, he is rooting for Trump. He doesn't want to be seen as Trump supporter |
So sad! Parents should be closer to their kids for them to feel free to share their worries with them. Also, Parents should cultivate the habit of raising emotionally stable children, immune to physical and cyber bullying. |
See this country that adds nothing to the block. Terrorists massacred more than 200 last month in the country and the chest beating president didn't do anything. They should go if they want. |
I agreed with you, Mr. Idahosa Dangote is stylishly putting himself into a position of sole price determinant (quasi monopoly) . Ignore Dangote at your own peril. He has been talking lately. |
The consultant is now the fall guy, even though he got his award letter from the ministry of environment and approved by the commissioner. I know that these consultants could be overzealous with their interpretation of extant laws, they act in hand with the either the director or the commissioner, to extort money from the citizens. Most of these levies collected ends up in private pockets. |
I don't know what Nigerian armed forces are doing in the southern part of the country. The country is at war and all security personnel should be in the front line at the theatre of War. You see them here doing check points and involve in things that has no security connotations. The president should declare state of emergency and declare national War on these terrorists. Let all security structures be armed to the teeth and Marshall everyone to the front line. These guys are becoming more daring |
Awards are of no value in Nigeria, again. It has been bastardised. Everybody is brandishing one award or the other |
Very weak statement from Abudullahi. See how he was talking not to even offend Wike. It is clear: PDP cannot dispense Wike. They are just looking for the way to manage the guy. They do not want to throw him away despite his seen anti party activities. See the Abudullahi of a man sayin that the victory they "worked" hard to achieve in Rivers State. PDP did not achieve any victory in PDP. Wike simply got the victory for them. |
No EU club was willing to pay what he and Napoli were asking and staying at Napoli isn't an option with Conte as coach and Lukaku coming to the team. |
There is no need to attack the guy. I remembered that incidence vividly. Conte was not happy and confined the guy to the bench. Agreed, if he was of European origin, Conte would not have done that. He was just looking for a way to bench the guy and his absence during the preseason provided him an ample opportunity to finish off Mikel. Lets take it easy on him. He said the truth. This usually happens in football, especially to African players that chose to represent their national team. But, I guess, if Mikel was superb, Conte would have reconsidered him in his starting lineup. Even Arsene Wenger almost did same to Kanu Nwankwo and claimed that he was allowing the Kanu to recover from jet lag and injury. |
South Africa, the only country that looks like Europe in Africa. That is the reason why other sub Saharan Africans are trooping there. Government in Sub Sahara Africa have failed to live up to expectation and the citizens are poor, hungry and looking out for opportunity in any saner clime. People travel as far as from Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and other parts of horn of Africa to SA in search of greener pastures. |
Did Canada promise anybody PR? All these Singhs and Indians should go back to their countries. ![]() Imagine the audacity?? Your contract was to study and depart. There was no promise of PR after your studies when you were issued a visa. People from developing countries always have this entitlement mentality when in Western countries. Entitlement they cannot even get in their own native countries. They should all go to their countries and protest against the governments in their respective countries |
Mostly nomadic abokis without house, that defecates anywhere, lives any where along that corridor |
Tor! Russia underestimated the resolve of the West to support Ukraine. They didn't know that the support would be this massive. Russia had an easy workover in 2014 in Crimea without any resistance as there were no Western support. Now that the support is massive, Russia is feeling the heat. Imagine providing Ukraine with satellite images of Russian troops movement. It helps with intelligence gathering and attack. The massive arsenal of foreign weaponry at the disposal of Ukraine are enough to check mate Russia. Imagine if the West should provide Ukraine with more advanced lethal weaponry that can strike deeper into Russia, Putin would have called for negotiations. |
Most governors built the airports to have easy going out and landing on their States without any need to travel by road from any neighbouring airport. They are concerned about their own security and safety. Umahi was more concerned about his ability to fly from Abakiliki to any where without going by road, even if it meant sinking the whole State fund into an unviable venture. The Ebonyi airport has not received any commercial flight since inception. Imagine!!! |
The interviewer should call the social service people - simple So he knew her before or what? I hope this is not skit abi na skirt ![]() |
2 wives and 11 children!!! Moslem men likes to have large family. Even the poor ones will have 4 wives and 24 children ![]() If the money is there, no problem. It becomes a problem when those children becomes a burden to the State |
CyrusVI:Those without strong nuclear and extended family bonds will not understand. For them, "japa " is a means of forgetting their families and the problems of their kinsmen. For us with deep family orientation, the fact that my children will not be able to bond with their cousins, uncles and aunties is worrisome. Some have already lost the connection with their kinsmen, tribe, language and culture. |
My parents generation are the last set of parents to experience what it means to have your children around you, discuss with them, get together as family during festive periods. Our generation will not have that opportunity. Greater percentage of Nigeria's middle and upper class are preparing their children for life outside Nigeria. You can't quantity the true cost of "japa" to Nigerian families. The failure of the system has destroyed the very fabric of unity, which is the family. Generations of Nigerians born abroad will never get to see the country, understand their native languages, know their cousins and even their kinsmen. |
Nawao for this policy when people are finishing secondary schools at 15. What happens to those people now? They will wait till they get to 18 to write JAMB. |
This has been a known fact. Nigeria's GDP has been stagnant since 2014. Those that graduated within the period 2000 to 2010 had choices on which aptitude tests to attend. Banks, IOCs, Consulting and Multinationals were always advertising for Management Trainee positions and others. Nairaland job site was always filled up with outcome of tests and upcoming interviews. Sadly, that is not the case again! Every where is closed - you hardly see open recruitment as companies are going through tough times. I have four recent graduates, two are in my house, all looking for job. The same story are being told by other graduates. There is no economic growth without full employment. Though, it is difficult to have full employment in any economy but the current Nigeria's situation calls for concern. Unemployment has serious negative consequence - both on the unemployed and on the general economy. |
What is even the current standard of FGCs schools? They used to be elitist schools in 80s and mid 90s. Rich and affluent Nigerians are no longer eager to send their wards to FGCs. Private schools are filling the gaps. |
Lie lie...far below the standard of Rich men of the 80s. Even a newly settled "nwaboy" in onitsha will have something finer and tusher than this in the 80s talk more of his main "oga" . The living room you have there was mostly lower class and those living on the margins. |
