Invest in Solar instead of paying the huge Band A bills

My solar saves me nothing less than 35k monthly. My recharge is around 20k for NEPA consumption. If I was not using solar, I should be spending close to 60k monthly on bills. IKEDC Band A bill na die, but they are doing well. They have been consistent with the minimum of 20hrs light in a day

Iran is the only Moslem country with balls. All others are cowards - The Turkish president of a guy will keep talking without taking action. I have not seen any Moslem country challenged Israel or US on the "atrocities" being committed by the IDF

See data!!! Nothing dey sweet me pass report with well written data, backed by numbers. You can't do any research without data, both historic and current. One of the issues we encountered as postgraduate students in UK in the late 2000s, researching on Nigeria or Nigeria's matter was lack of reliable data. Our supervisors at the University refused any research work presented with Nigerian content, as they questioned the reliability of data used in our research work. Despite the fact that we had substantial Nigerian students, the faculty insisted we used British based references or EU based references for research. But for students from other countries, they were allowed to research on something from their own home countries. Numbers and pictures tells more stories than writing pages of words in any report.

I may agree with this assertion from my own personal experience. My area is under "band A", and we have light up to 20 to 24 hours daily. However, the charges are huge. You pay N225 instead of the N65. But I am using solar to offset the cost. I power my house on solar during the day and NEPA at night, to manage the IKEDC bill on band A users.

This is the strategy most of the governors are adopting in conducting the local government elections. There won't be any sensitization on the upcoming elections; they will delay the arrival of INEC materials in connivance with scrupulous officials; elections will be held with fewer or no voter and boom!, results would be announced and all the annointed candidates by the governor are sworn in. Those praising president Tinubu for signing local government autonomy into law do not understand Nigeria. The governors can go at any length to maintain total control of local government funds, its allocation and expenditures. Do you think that the governor of Kano state would allow the 44 local governments chairmen to control the huge allocations that comes into the local governments account from the federation account? He would do everything to maintain control and dish out patronage as he wishes. The control of the local government gives the governors unfettered powers to control the grassroots and maintain political power. As they say, "politics is local." How do you expect the governors to relinquish control of that local structure of the politics? In Nigeria, money is everything and who controls the money, controls the people and influences decisions, actions and outcomes.

He should face his studies. As I said earlier, it would be a matter of time and the euphoria will evaporate.

Bro, Playing is the fastest and easiest means to make a name in football.

Being a pundit or in other occupations in football is not easy, as you must have paid your dues as a player, coach, TV sport presenter or being and English man

Try and research for some football academy in Naija and see their so that you can decide on whether to register him in one of the academy or not. Just try to assist and guide him to follow his passion.

My brother - I don't have that time and it is going to be stressful as the nearest academy is far

There is a public secondary school in my area, where people go to play football on Saturdays and Sunday

I do go there sometimes with him as I like jugging and doing some yoga with other people

Kids of his age used to come and play in one of the sections of the school field, which was managed by one local coach.

Sadly, the big men in my area, that formed their own "saturday - Sunday Morning" football club have bribed the school security guards,

took over the whole field and there is no more place for young stars. Only pot-bellied rich men comes there and occupies the whole school compound.

I am sure over time, as reality sets in, the desire will just fade away. He is just excited watching footballers do their thing - that is just my thinking.

He has the normal skill expected of a 9 year old boy. My own is that he should face his studies and take football as an extra-curricular activity.

Alhaji has become a bone in the neck of PDP, and they cannot do without him. Content creators and posting rubbish. It is practically impossible for any financial institution to grant a loan request, mortgaged by a landed property, that doesn't belong to the borrower. How did the bank officer ascertained that the building belongs to the wife? Even if the building is in the name of both couples, the bank will still request the express approval of the joint owner, to accept that the asset would be used as a collateral for the loan.

Everybody deserves respect and we should not embarrass people like that, even if you are a priest. This is major difference between us and the West - respect for people, even if that person is a child. We are too violent pruned and react to anger immediately in physical manner. I understand that the priest is human, he should control his anger. The alter boy is offering a selfless service - he is not paid to be in that mass to support the priest. He came on his own volition and should be appreciated.

Despite the overbearing influence of his father, even getting him into the Real Madrid academy. Parents should provide guidance and mentorship to their kids and not imposing any career on them. Some people that could have excelled as footballer never got the chance to enter well-known football academy. Some got their kids into the academy but their kids couldn't deliver. I will keep monitoring my kids to know where their respective aptitudes lies instead of imposing anything on them, just for personal pride and glory. It is good to provide your kids with options and the benefit of each career and let their aptitude guide their eventual decision.

I don't want to sound unpatriotic but it is high time we started appointing minister of education from the Southern part of the country. I cant remember the last time somebody from the South was appointed as minister of education. Even among educated elites in Nigeria, the perception of education between a northern person is different from that of southern person. It even becomes more glaring in the way both region approach education and what should be done and not done; what is ideal learning and what is not; how education should be pursued and how it should not be pursued.

The quality of of human beings in Nigeria is extremely low. It becomes even lower when one moves up north the country. This is the reason why the world doesn't bath an eyelids when news like "500 people died in Nigeria or Africa". But once there is a news of five people dying or shot dead in US or Europe, it would become news.

Does it matter? Elections are no more rigged at the polling stations. Elections are rigged at the INEC collation Centres and in the offices of resident INEC persons. They announces the results and if you are not ok with it, you go to court.

Even though I agreed with you on this your statement, you still supervised one of the most flawed elections in Nigeria. Your choice of corrupt Maurice Iwu as INEC Chairman and imposition of Andy Ubah on Anambra, were extremely corrupt practices, that were beyond redemption. You may be pardoned of some of your electoral malpractices you committed then, as your administration was the best, in terms of economic policies and management of resources.

We were able to jump from one good job to another because of huge opportunities that existed in the telecoms, banking, consulting and other sectors, respectively. Comparing your administration to the current one of Tinubu, economically, is like comparing apple 🍎 to bitter lemon 🍋

I dont know why flags of different nationalities that make up Nigeria are more beautiful and finer than our own national flag.

Even this Yoruba nation flag is fine, with that Oduduwa logo. Same with Biafra, with the rising sun logo. Even the Benin, with that queen Idaa portrait and the Niger delta, with arrays of stars printed on it. Is it not time to modified the green-white-green flag?
